Title: [p] Walking in the sands

Shynthriir - October 3, 2004 09:04 PM (GMT)
Shynthriir took another step in the hot sands of the desert. The sand beneath him slipped away slightly at the pressure, but not enough to change the Drow's footing. He continued on, one step at a time. The sun beating down at the back of his dark cloak.

He looked behind him cheacking to see if his stalker was still close behind. He didn't see anything or anyone, but that didn't make him feel better. The last few days a man by the nam of Droagn had been following him most of the places he had gone. It made the Drow feel uneasy

Drogan - October 4, 2004 04:53 AM (GMT)
Drogan was a very strange elf indeed. He never had a mother or father, and never learned the proper manners of life. He never had any friends and wanted more than anything to have at least one friend. Right now, that is Synthriir.

Drogan was about 100 yards away from Synthriir, slowly creeping towards him. He wondered wether the healer was able to hear him.

Shynthriir - October 5, 2004 01:14 AM (GMT)
Shynthriir kept his pace in the hot desert sands; one step after the other. The heat was nearly unbarable, but still he kept on; there was some purpose for him here, but he couldn't figure out what it was. One more step.

The step was in the wrong place and the sand gave way more than the other places. His ankle twisted, not enough to cause pain, but enough to make his fall to prevent it from doing damage. His body spun about and he cause a shimmer of something in the distance as he landed on the sand.

Thoughts and fears ran through his head. It was most likily the man who had been stalking him for so long. "Show yourself you coward!" Shynthriir shouted at the top of his lungs.

Drogan - October 5, 2004 01:19 AM (GMT)
Drogan paused for some time thinking. He didn't know what to do. He wasn't a stalker as Synthriir assumes, but more like an enemy now, who wants to know of what his other enemies do. This was a plan so Drogan was never clueless on what is enemyies' plans were.

The he decided to walk out of a tree that he was standing behind. He walked out and shouted, "It is I, Drogan. We are enemies, are we not?"

Shynthriir - October 5, 2004 02:22 AM (GMT)
Shynthriir thought to himself. An enemy? He hadn't thought that to be the case, only thought this man to be a wandering stalker. But an enemy? Maybe the man was right, but he couldn't be certain; at least not yet. He composed himwelf and stood back up, knowing to gain proper footing in the loose sand.

"Can I at least know the name of my st," Shynthriir paused considering his words, "enemy?"

Drogan - October 5, 2004 03:50 AM (GMT)
Drogan was confused at this point. Synthriir had already known Drogan's name, as well as Drogan knew his. They meet in the Streets of Talas. Many thoughts ran through his head. 'Why was he asking my name if he already knew it?' 'Maybe he forgot.' 'Maybe he is very stupid and can't remember much.' Drogan snickers.

Drogan walks a few feet closer and says, "Are you that clueless? You already have thought of my name. Don't you remember?"

Shynthriir - October 5, 2004 04:39 AM (GMT)
Drogan? Ah, yes. Shynthriir had ideas at the man's name; he had met a man looking nearly the same a few days before in the city of Talas. Shynthriir knew better than to place a name with a face too quickly though. The world was full of mystery and delusion and it could have been a mind trick. Shynthriir was still little assured, but was a little pleased to be able to put a name to an enemy.

The man, Drogan, had taken a step further; a step that shouldn't have been taken. "Stay back you fiend!" Shynthriir shouted back. He let loose a missle of pure magic toward Drogan in a warning. He didn't like or trust Drogan and would not let his get close. There was no need.

Drogan - October 6, 2004 12:49 AM (GMT)
Drogan quickly moved to dodge the missle, which he sucessively did. He was very calm at this moment. He didn't know what to do next.

Shynthriir - October 6, 2004 02:29 AM (GMT)
Shynthriir knew the attack would be dodged with ease, but it still angered him slightly at the actualy fact that it had been. "Why do you follow me so?" He shouted to Drogan at the top of his lungs, making sure to sound assertive.

Drogan - October 8, 2004 01:02 AM (GMT)
"I am sorry, but I do not have an answer to your question." Drogan replies and then waits for another say from Synthriir.

Shynthriir - October 8, 2004 04:59 AM (GMT)
~ Surely you have a reaons, somewhere in what you call a brain, you have a reason. ~ Shynthriir know there had to be a reaon, why the man didn't say anything was something Shynthriir didn't know.

Drogan - October 8, 2004 11:57 PM (GMT)
"You are right, I do have a reason for it, but does that nessecarily mean I must tell you? No." Drogan replies. He found it that he did not have to explain his reasoning to Synthriir, for he could not trust him as he wished he could.

Shynthriir - October 10, 2004 01:14 AM (GMT)
~ If you will not tell me now, or if you do not leave, then you will be left with no toungue to tell me and no legs to take you away. It is your choice, ~ Shynthriir left his threat at that.

Drogan - October 12, 2004 01:00 AM (GMT)
"Well, my reason for being here is that I first was planning to see if I was willing to take the heat from this dessert. I was walking along here and that is where I found you. I knew that if you saw me that this would happen so I tried to stay hidden from veiw, but now here we are. What about you Synthriir?" Drogan replied.

Shynthriir - October 12, 2004 02:31 AM (GMT)
"Though my business is something that is of no importance to both you and me, I will tell you this time. I was simply walking in the desert to find a place to train myself. You can never be overtrained in the Imythess, in case you haven't figured that much out yet." Shynthriir turned to walk away, but then had a better idea, "I wish to train alone, but a target would be so much better." Shynthriir's thin lips formed a smirk.

Drogan - October 28, 2004 02:22 AM (GMT)
"I do not wish to be one of your meer tagets in training. What do you take me for?" Drogan was getting upset at this point. He knew he couldn't step any closer to Shynthriir or else, so he stopped himself from doing so. He wanted to just charge after him and cut his punny head off at this point, but he stopped himself from doing so again. He didn't want to cause a battle between Shynthriir. He knew thath the healer was much more skilled and powerful than he was, and so he knew that if he did do something as stupid as he wanted to, he would of been killed. Drogan then said after calming down much, "Well, I see that we have a reputation for each other as being enemies, but I do not wish for this to go on any longer. I wish for only peace in this land, for me, and everyone else. Nothing is more horrifying than battle with death and blood. I wish for no of this to ever hapen in my life time. Would you give that to me for this moment?"

Shynthriir - October 28, 2004 02:35 AM (GMT)
Friends? Why should he be friends with this stalker, one who denied his doings. Maybe Shynthriir would consider it, though there would need to be some test involved. A test of loyalty, for Shynthriir valued loyalty in all people whom he would ever consider a friend. "How good are you with a blade?" He asked with no explaination as to his line of thinking. Why should he explain himself to Drogan, a man he could cut apart in seconds if he wished to.

Drogan - October 29, 2004 01:52 AM (GMT)
"I am not of a warrior with weapons. I mainly that of magic, but I can use a trident rather well. Why do you ask?" Shynthriir didn't answer Drogan's question, but thought this to be a farely good step to freindship. He was wondering why Shynthriir asked him about using a sword. It was very strange and off topic. What is he planning to do?

Shynthriir - October 29, 2004 05:20 AM (GMT)
Shynthriir thought through his head of what he would do next. He didn't want a weak friend, they only seemed to bring you down because always, it seemed, they would need help from somebody; and what kinda of person would Shynthriir be if he didn't help his friend. He would put Drogan through a test to see if he was strong and wise enough to join Shynthriir.

Shynthriir was fast, had speed beyond that of a normal person. He used that speel to charge towards Drogan, after drawing his two blades; twin scimitars. "Show me of your power then." Shynthriir said to Drogan a few seconds before striking. Shynthriir's strike was with only one blade, the other held back in case it would be needed to defend a counterattack.

Shynthriir bent his right shoulder down, then brought it up in a swipe aiming to sweap across the inside of Drogan's left arm; bringins his shoulder up in the motion to add to the effect of the attack.

Drogan - October 30, 2004 01:07 AM (GMT)
Drogan went into battle mode and quickly took out his trident blocking Shynthriir's attack. Shynthriir's speed was greatly more than his, but he couldn't let that effect him too much. Drogan jumped back after the attack and quickyl shot a bolt of lighting fomr his right hand towards Shynthriir after chanting, "gninthgil!" The lightning bolt was aimed at Shynthriir's chest moving at the speed of light. Drogan was quite sure that Shynthriir wasn't even that fast enough to dodge his lightning.

Shynthriir - October 31, 2004 02:13 AM (GMT)
Drogan's spell was a good one. It would have worked quite well against anyone-anyone but Shynthriir that is. Shynthriir was fast, beyond that of a normal person; such was already revieled to Drogan. Shynthriir, however, was skilled in more feats than just extra speed, he was also quite good at tumbling and had reflexes far greater than anyone without the proper training. Shynthriir had that training, and was ready. If a person were to watch the fight, they would not have even seen the span of time between when Drogan lifted his hand and Shynthriir ducked to a roll to the side; for the moment that Shynthriir saw Drogan's hand start to raise, he was moving to dodge the attack which was to come.

Shynthriir finished his tumble and was back to his feet in once completely fluid motion; his scimitars still in his hands. Shynthriir then pulled a spell of his own out, though he needed not to saw a word or move his hand in any way to cast it. Such ways of casting only told all who were caring that he was about to cast a spell, so he was quick to learn how to cast spells without going through such motions and saying such words.

Behind Drogan, fire formed at the ground in what seemed to be a puddle. The puddle grew vertically and then took the shape of an od creature-an odd creature whose body burt with fire. It was a powerful fire elemental that Shynthriir had summoned to aid him in this battle-though he knew that he would have no trouble withought any magic if he wanted to.

The fire elemental charged Drogan from his back, and then Shynthriir, back on his feet, charged at Drogan's front, his scimitars leading the assult.

Drogan - October 31, 2004 05:00 AM (GMT)
Drogan was amazed at the incredible speed of Shynthriir, but knew of this before they started this duel. He was not even able to see Shynthriir move, but he knew he did, that was why Drogan was ready for Shynthriir's next attack. Drogan knew of Shynthriir's speed and though over this and knew to always be ready before it took place. Drogan felt heat behind him rise rather quickly. He knew something strange was happening behind him, but he didn't dare look away from Shynthriir for he was the main threat.

Drogan did a small roll to his left as fast as his body would let him quickly getting up afterward. Drogan saw that what was behind him was a monster made of the element fire itself. Drogan need not to worry about the fire elemental just yet for he saw that Shynthriir was charged at him with twice as face as normal. Drogan quickly shot another lightning bolt at Shynthriir knowing it wouldn't hit, but it would slow him down at least. Drogan then chanted a spell thus showing a cloud forming infront of him. The cloud quickly came to the form of a floating demon, an air elemental.

Shynthriir - October 31, 2004 05:13 AM (GMT)
Shynthriir rolled to the side, avoiding the second fireball, and was up again; all done in one single fluid motion. As Shynthriir was getting up from the roll, he had cast a seconf spell. An air elemental matched the one that Drogan had summoned and it went directly to it's twin. Shynthriir then cast a third spell, one that called forth a water elemental, this one joined the fire elemental in the fight with Drogan. Shynthriir stood back, even took a few steps away from Drogan to keep from his weapon's range. The fire elemental was up on Drogan at this time and started to swing it's massive arms at Drogan, then the water elemental was doing the same on the other side of the man. Shynthriir, meanwhile, was standing back and was preparing another spell in him head. A fireball wizzed through the air toward the fighting trio, aimed for Drogan.

The air elemental that Drogan had called forth came upon Drogan's with equal skill and ability. It would easily be a perfectly matched fight. Shynthriir wouldn't be able to defeat the elemental with his own, but he could keep it back form the main fight.

Drogan - October 31, 2004 05:58 PM (GMT)
((many errors. hard to read.))

Drogan saw that Shynthriir had made two more elementals by him, an air and a water elemental. The two air elementals were in a futile melee battle, one attacked each other again and again with nothing accomplished. The two air elementals stode their ground well, and Drogan need not to woory about them just yet.

Drogan also saw that Shynthriir had backed away from him to watch, which was a good thing for Drogan; he need not to worry about Shynthriir for now. All Drogan had need to worry about was Shynthriir's two summoned elementals of fire and water. Drogan saw as they came up to him attacking and backed up dodging their attacks. Then all of a sudden a fireball passed over Drogan's head as he ducked to dodge the water elemental's long arms comming for him. "That was a relief,' thought Drogan at this.

After a few more attacks from Shynthriir's two elementals, Drogan came up with an idea. Drogan quickly chanted a spell while moving his right hand up facing the water elemental. A bolt of lightning erupted from his hand and hit the water elemental electrifying it. The elemental screamed in agony and pranced around. Luckily for Drogan, the water elemntal hit the fire elemental and poring its hot flames out thus destroying it. After a little longer, the water elemental ouldn't take the lightning any longer and died away. It form melted to the ground and its water sunk into the sand quickly.

The two air elementals were still in a futile battle against each other, and Drogan still need not to worry about them. Drogan looked at Shynthriir and shot another lightning bolt after him.

Shynthriir - November 2, 2004 05:41 AM (GMT)
OOC: That's cheapness to the extreme if I ever saw cheap...

Shynthriir again dodged the bolt after his elementals were easily gone from teh fight. It didn't matter, in fact he almost expected the act. It was a very simple strategy. If you wanted something done, then you had to do it yourself. Shynthriir did not wait one second after the bolt of lightning passes to charge toward Drogan. He placed one scimitar back in it's sheath, his right blade, and fought with only his left. He had other weapons other than his scimitars, one weapon was always ready at a moments notice.

Shynthriir was charging straight ahead, but at the last second he shifted his weight and went past the side of Drogan, aimed for left side with his remaining blade. The move was not at full speed, so it would be easy to avoid, but Shynthriir meant not to kill Drogan, just to test him.

Drogan - November 4, 2004 04:58 AM (GMT)
OOC: (well, they are just summoning units. i needed to get ride of them, and i only have lightning to do. lol.)

Drogan knew Shynthriir would easily dodge the bolt of lighting as he saw before. He then saw him charging for him. Drogan grasped his trident and was ready for Shynthriir's attack. As Shynthriir's one scimitar was about a couple feet away, Drogan moved his trident horizantly to the ground blocking the scimitar. Drogan pushed Shynthriir's scimitar to the side and using the other pointed end of the trident, Drogan twisted around to where it would hopefully stab him on the side. Drogan seemed to be doing well considering Shynthriir was much more skilled than he was.

Shynthriir - November 4, 2004 05:27 AM (GMT)
Drogan had moved Shynthriir's attack out wide leaving a false opening at his chest. Again, Shynthriir found himself thanking himself for spending countless hours to train himself to be faster moving and quicker reacting for it was again those two things that allowed hit to block the attack to his side. Meanwhile, Shynthriir's other scimitar was already moving to slap Drogan's side with the flat of its blade; the attack came so fast that Shynthriir doubted that Drogan would even see it, none the less be able to block it, and he didn't want to harm Drogan for this was only a test.

Drogan - November 6, 2004 02:46 AM (GMT)
Drogan was surprised that Shynthriir blocked his attack. As soon as Shynthriir blocked his attack, a hard slap hit him on the side throwing him a few feet to the side. The attack was farely hard, which would definitly leave a bruise. Drogan rubbed his arm groaning with pain. Drogan overcame the pain and was ready again. He held out his trident. A bolt of lightning shot out of the tip of the trident. At this Drogan was already running for Shynthriir with his trident pointing straight for him.

Shynthriir - November 6, 2004 05:38 PM (GMT)
The one attack that Shynthriir actually tried to get in, made contact. Again, Drogan was casting a spell, his mouth mumbling the words required for it. Shynthriir had to smile knowing that when he cast spells it was never obvious. Shynthriir was far out of the way before the lightning shot out and had his scimitars ready when Drogan pressed on with his trident. "No more," Shynthriir bluntly said. Drogan had satisfied him in this small fight. Perhaps he might be able to put to use more power and speed, but for what he was able to do, Drogan could do it well.

Drogan - November 8, 2004 03:24 AM (GMT)
Drogan stoped at Shynthriir's words immediatly. He calmed down and walked towards Shynthriir. Putting his trident to the side, Drogan said, "That was a most excellent duel. I am very proud that you are satisfied with my skills. Thank you... You are a great warrior and mage Shynthriir, how did you come to be so well at hand?" Drogan was currious to how Shynthriir was so skilled and powerful.

Shynthriir - November 11, 2004 04:22 AM (GMT)
A question that is not quickly answered, but I will tell. I was abandom\ned as a child, left to live alone in a forest. I had to learn to protect myself quickly or else I would surely die. I went twenty years in the woods with no one to telk to, thus I am able to cast my spells with no use of my voice. I learned to fight with both hands and then had to learn to cast spells with out my hands. I have learned a good deal of talents and am a friend with the dark and shadows are of great use to me. Be glad we did not fight in the shadows of an ally, for the fight would have been over before it even started, though this one isn't as different.
