Title: [p] A Friendly Meeting

Shynthriir - October 2, 2004 04:35 PM (GMT)
Shynthriir walked to the lake and was awed by the beauty and peace that it held. He was waiting from someone, the closest person to a friend Shynthriir had known in his few weeks out in the world. They were to talk and exchange stories and the like. Shynthriir hoped that Kyonis might knew some information that would lead to Shynthriir's past, but he doubted that he would.

Kyonis - October 2, 2004 04:40 PM (GMT)
Kyonis slowly walked the lake's coast, skipping rocks upon the short, rounded waves. The smell of the lake wafted Kyonis's nose, adding to the already evident serenity of this place. Shynthriir had asked Kyonis here, as far as Kyonis could tell simply to talk. In a way, Kyonis was glad. He didn't know anyone here on Imythess, and Shynthriir really was Kyonis's only connection. He was glad that he would be able to converse with someone, and perhaps release some of the tension that had been building up inside him.

It had been a long couple of weeks for Kyonis. His healing endeavors were not providing the results Kyonis had hoped. Try as he might, Kyonis could barely afford to feed himself, much less buy the necessary spells and weapons he would need to take revenge upon his parent's killer. And that was, of course, assuming Kyonis could find his parent's killer. At the moment, the entire plan that seemed once so great now seemed hopeless.

Shynthriir - October 2, 2004 04:45 PM (GMT)
Shynthriir looked about the lake, still not seeing any sign of Kyonis. DId he plan on meeting with Shynthriir? He was about to turn and leave when he say a figure on the far side of the lake skipping stones in the water. He laughed at himself for the stupidity of not telling Kyonis a location to meet him other than that of by the lake. The lake was a large meeting spot and it was hard to find someone you are looking for there.

"Hey Kyonis!!" Shynthriir shouts across the lake, his hands cupped over his mouth to amplify his voice. One of his hands then reached in teh air and he waved it about to get Kyonis' attention. A fireball then left his waving hand. 'That will surely grab his attention,' he thought to himself.

Kyonis - October 2, 2004 05:56 PM (GMT)
Kyonis saw Shynthriir excitedly waving his hand. Then he noticed the fireball leaving his palm. "showoff," Kyonis muttered as he made his way over to the stranger that Kyonis called his only friend. Shynthriir continued to wave, and Kyonis just smiled at the drow's silliness.

After almost half an hour, Kyonis finally made it to the opposite end of the lake. It was a very large lake, and Kyonis felt like taking his time. Finally approaching the man Kyonis had come to meet, he said "Hello. And how are you, today?".

Drogan - October 2, 2004 10:03 PM (GMT)
From another part of the lake, Drogan was watched the two ones talking to each other, Drogan didn't have any friends. He was a lonely Wizard. This started to get to him. Finally, he wasn't able to take it any longer, Drogan walked closer hoping they would notice him, and converse with him.

Shynthriir - October 2, 2004 10:58 PM (GMT)
"Quite well actually. Recently I discovered an interesting rock, which makes it sounds more boring than it truely is. But I can tell you all about that later, how about you? What have you been up to since our last meeting?"

Shynthriir saw a figure slowly creaping toward them, but said nothing.

Drogan - October 2, 2004 11:55 PM (GMT)
Drogan walked closer still in hope of them to acknowledge him. He didn't want to seem as if he was eaves dropping, which he wasn't. He just wanted to talk with someone, and he didn't know what other to do.

Kyonis - October 3, 2004 12:19 AM (GMT)
Kyonis warily watched the strange man who seemed to be lingering about Shynthriir and Kyonis. Forcing himself to look away from this stranger, Kyonis answered, "I have been very busy, actually. I have been spending my days trying to make it as a healer. I am afraid that business is not going so well as I had hoped. At night I have been staying with Ciara at the Temple of Air, which is near to here, actually. I hope to become one of her chosen. She is considering my request".

Kyonis was actually befuddled by the goddess. She had not been at the temple for days. Kyonis was, for some reason, worried for her. Not to mention he wanted to learn the results of his request. Shaking off these last thought, Kyonis asked, "So, what is it about this rock you have found, that makes it so special?".

Shynthriir - October 3, 2004 02:13 AM (GMT)
Shynthriir almost felt uneasy talking about the stone. If it was not in a hiddlen location that he knew it would be safe at, he wouldn't have brought it up at all. "I was walking through some marshes one day and ran across a rock. It had a blue hue and some marking, parhaps runes, on it.

"Another traveler came to me and reveiled it to be a magical stone. It allows the user to travel through time, a true threat to all people it is. I tried to destroy the thing, but found I could not. I then learned that to destroy it, you need to know the true power of it and be able to use them to the fullest. I went to the Temple of Magic and left a message, but haven't gotten news back."

Kyonis - October 3, 2004 03:11 AM (GMT)
"Hmm... that is very strange. I'm afraid that my adventures in Imythess have not been quite as exciting. Work, hunger, and desperation pretty much sum up my entire experience here". That was very true. It seemed Kyonis was always either working for his food or eating whatever he could scrounge up. He had fallen on truly desperate times. However, he desired not to focus on that.

"So, what else is new?". Kyonis continued to eye the stranger who appeared to be eavesdropping.

Shynthriir - October 3, 2004 03:27 AM (GMT)
Shynthriir could tell by the actions of Kyonis that the man was still there. "I seem to have grown a stalker in the last few days. The man that is listening to us, or trying to at least, has been stalking me for a good part of the day."

Drogan - October 3, 2004 06:10 AM (GMT)
Drogan heard this and reacted to his rude comment, "I have not been stalking you!" He walks toward them. "I am not like that. I am sorry to appear to evesdropping, but I am a lonely Wizard and needs friends to converse with... O, I am sorry for not intorducing myself. My name is Drogan. I am an elven Wizard. And who may you be?" Drogan acknowledges the one Synthriir was talking to.

Kyonis - October 3, 2004 06:16 AM (GMT)
Kyonis gave a questioning glance at the elven wizard. He had never heard a grown man speak the words, "I am a lonely wizard and need friends". That was so... childish. Perhaps this man had a mental illness? Kyonis sighed. As he learned earlier that day, he could not heal those with mental illnesses. However, he may have a few herbs...

"So!", Kyonis said to Shynthriir, deciding to ignore the stranger. "Like I was saying...".

Shynthriir - October 3, 2004 07:15 PM (GMT)
Shynthriir didn't even turn to reguard the man. A loney wizard indeed. If he was such a lonely wizard, why doesn't he find other people to talk to? Why does he persist to talk with Shynthriir? The look in Kyonis' eyes said that he was thinking similar thoughts.

"Yes, go on. What were you saying?"

Drogan - October 3, 2004 08:00 PM (GMT)
Drogan got even closer. "I believe you two didn't hear me.... O wait. I am eing rude. I am sorry. If you two don't want me here, then just say the word and I will leave, but I wish to stay. I wish to talk. I wish to become friends." He said to both of them.

Kyonis - October 3, 2004 10:29 PM (GMT)
The man was seriously aggravating Kyonis. He couldn't think of a response to Shynthriir what with this intruder standing there, breathing down his neck. And what was his deal with 'wanting to be friends'? That was just... odd. Kyonis had never heard of such a thing before.

"Does that usually work?", Kyonis asked him suddenly, spinning on his heels. "Do you usually just 'ask' people to be your friends? You know what, you're really creeping me out". Kyonis stared at the strange man, waiting for a reply.

Shynthriir - October 3, 2004 10:42 PM (GMT)
Shynthriir's hand fidgeted on the hilt of his left scimitar. He couldn't take it anymore and graped the hilt and pulled it out. His right hand was raised to, but didn't hold a scimitar. A firey whip appeared in it out of seemingly nowhere. Shynthriir moved toward the man. "I think he was just about to leave, wasn't he?"

Drogan - October 5, 2004 12:21 AM (GMT)
Drogan laughed. He was very ammused to so this Healer with a sword, but that wasn't the case.

Drogan focused upon the scimitar he was holding. With great force, he tried to take it from Synthriir's hand by using his ability, Telekinesis.

Kyonis - October 5, 2004 01:43 AM (GMT)
Kyonis watched as the sword was flung from Shynthriir's grasp into the waiting palm of Drogan. Was this the man who had just moments before asked to be our friend? There was little chance of that now. It seemed Kyonis would need to pick a side. There was little choice really; a stranger or a greater stranger. Standing at Shynthriir's side, Kyonis held his arms out to his sides, in casting position.

Kyonis felt horribly defenseless without a weapon. However, he didn't need a blade to fight; he had his spells. Without a word from Kyonis, the wind began to pick up. The previously mild breezed enhanced into gusty torrents, tearing at the three men's clothing. The leaves between Kyonis and Shynthriir on one side, Drogan on the other, began to dance about in a whirlwind. Tiny bolts of electricity crackled on Kyonis's fingertips. "No," Kyonis said calmly. "I don't think I will be being your friend, my lonely wizard".

Shynthriir - October 5, 2004 02:12 AM (GMT)
Shynthriir had reflexes better than that of a cat. His sword was flung from his hand and into that of his opponent, but before he even knew what he was doing his whip lashed out and grabbed wrapped around his lost sword, his other hand reached across his body and grabbed his other scimitar, pulling it from his sheath. By the time he had reacted to the loss of his first sword, he was already back in an offensive position; so was Kyonis.

Drogan - October 6, 2004 01:13 AM (GMT)
Drogan wasn't stronge enough to hold the scimitar with Synthriir's fire wipe wrapped around it pulling and with the whirlwind about him. The sword flew out of his hands and he gave up. He knew he wasn't stronge enough to take the two on; he wasn't even able to take one of them alone as well. He dropped his hands and became invulnerable to almost anything. He wondered what they would do.

Shynthriir - October 6, 2004 02:36 AM (GMT)
Shinthriir's lost weapon came back to him. The whip dissapeared once the weapon had it's momentum and then he used the empty hand to catch his sword. He saw that Drogan had given up this battle, and Shynthriir agreed. His scimitars found their sheaths, though now the left scimitar was in the right sheath and same goes the other way around, but that didn't matter.

"Away from here Droagn, you are interupting our pleasent conversation and are both outnumbereed and out powered."

Kyonis - October 7, 2004 03:37 AM (GMT)
Kyonis glanced down at the electricity that danced on his fingertips. He found it extrmeley hard to surpress the magic; once it had been released, it desired to be used. However, Kyonis struggled and managed to stifle the flow of his magic, and the electricity disappeared.

The wind, Kyonis's newer spell, died down easily. Kyonis still had a hard time controlling the existing air currents. It did not come easily, and it was no problem to stop the streams of air. Kyonis smiled at Drogan as Shynthriir spoke his harsh words to the man. While Kyonis wouldn't have considered the conversation as of yet 'pleasant', it had most certainly been more civil than this last confrontation. "I suppose you will be leaving now?", Kyonis asked.

Drogan - October 8, 2004 01:05 AM (GMT)
Drogan appoligieses, "I am sorry. And yes I will take my leave from her and leave you two be. Farewell." Drogan slowly walks away and fadeds out into the distance.

Shynthriir - October 8, 2004 05:03 AM (GMT)
"Good, now he's gone. What were we talking about before he came, I do not remember?" Shynthriir asked to Kyonis.

Drogan - October 8, 2004 11:59 PM (GMT)
Drogan was able to hear the two talking, but didn't mind them and kept on walking to nowhere. He did not know to where he was walking to. He just walked.
