Title: [P] Lonesome

Ranewen - September 27, 2004 11:44 PM (GMT)
Ranewen saw in the corner of the tavern, looking around at the people as they happily talked to each other. She shook her head and leaned back in her chair as the barmaid came up to her and asked what she wanted. She sighed and shrugged and just told her to get her some type of wine. “And make it good…” she said as the barmaid walked away. She sighed lightly and stretched as she grew bored.

((Wow… That’s so short that it ‘s not even funny… Haha, I’m sorry. I’m usually better than that. Like, five times.))

Lynx Alacult - September 28, 2004 08:55 PM (GMT)
He walked into the travern looking around, some of the people in the bar turning from their drinks to stare at the winged being as he entered he looked around and nodded to those who saw him enter his wings folding gently around him, closeing his eyes he let out a small sigh makeing his way to an empty table near where Ranewen was sitting he glanced over at her for a moment then looked around the bar setting and awaited a barmaid so he would be able to order a drink soon.

He flexed his wings slighty raiseing them to strech them out the full length they would go then he would bend them back aginst his back, pure white feathers falling from his wings landing on the ground only to fade away after a moment going back to where they fell, the marks on his face were glowing a dim blue, he seemed to be new to the area from the way he acted and the way the others in the bar acted when they saw the wings.

He glanced around still getting glances from random people he shrugged and leaned forward tapping his fingers on the table as he waited.

"..................."

Ranewen - September 28, 2004 09:24 PM (GMT)
Ranewen looked over at him once as the barmaid set down her drink on the table. She turned and flipped up a coin for the barmaid. She greedily caught it and made her way over to Lynx's table to ask him what he wanted. She sighed and leaned back. A few of the men looked at her, too. She was new to this area, but definately not new to Imythess. She'd lived there her whole entire life. She glared and snapped, "What're you looking at? Didn't your mother ever tell you not to stare?"

They instantly turned away, muttering something about her attitude problem. She grunted and smirked, trying not to laugh. Idiots these days... Don't think before they act. It'll prove fatal one day. Matter of fact, I can make it that day. But I don't want a bad name here, too, or I won't have a Tavern to go to... She sighed and shrugged her shoulders lightly as she picked up her glass of wine and sipped at it. She placed it down on the table and then looked over at Lynx.

He had some pretty neat-looking wings, she thought. She turned her whole body towards him. She would wait to ask him anything until the barmaid had his order and went off to fill it. She sighed impatiently as she leaned on the back of the chair. She looked elsewhere, over at her dragon sitting at a table in his human form. Ryu... I can't believe him and his damned friends follow me everywhere... She sighed angrily and took another sip as he looked over at her. She ignored his stare and turned back to face the table.

Her nightmare stood outside the tavern, looking in the window for a moment before galloping away as a few people came out of the door. Ranewen watched as her horse diappeared into the distance and she shook her head. That horse is going to get herself hurt one day... And whoever hurts her - if someone hurts her - I will make sure they their death is slow and painful... She smirked to herself evilly and placed her elbow on the table and her chin in the palm of her hand. Out of the corner of her eye, she glanced over in Lynx's direction, only to see if the barmaid was gone.

Her two pseudo-dragons flew in through an open window and landed on Ranewen's table. She frowned, wondering what they wanted. "I'll get you meat when the barmaid comes back. This is, after all, a tavern. They should have things to eat here. If not, I'll go to the Inn to fetch you some food. But don't fly in like that... I'll get in trouble or thrown out." she smirked and shook her head back and forth as her pseudo-dragons chirped and looked around the tavern themselves. They saw no familiar faces, so they looked back over at Ranewen. "Go on, go out and play. I'll bring some meat out to you when I order it..."

The pseudo-dragons seemed to nod in their own motionless, silent ways. They pumped their wings and Tiu led the way back to the window, Jordison following about a foot or so behind. He looked back once and Ranewen hadn't moved fro mthe table, nor had the barmaid. He turned around and followed his playmate out the door and outside to play some air tag with Abyss, their little pixie friend. Ryu glanced over at Ranewen again, only to turn back around to going back to gossiping with his friends, his back to her. She rose an eyebrow, wondering why he always kept an eye on her.

Lynx Alacult - September 28, 2004 11:02 PM (GMT)
A man from the bar looked to lynx for a moment then staggered up, it would appear that he had too much to drink as it was he pointed two fingers to lynx and began to yell to him in a sluggish manor, shaking his fist at him, swaying from right to left a mug of ale in his other hand. The barmaid that had come to his table walked away for now not wanting to be in the center of the yelling.

“. Hey punk! I don’t think I said you could come into MY bar…”

As the man yelled at him, Lynx shook his head and turned away his wings folding around him as he glanced back to the man every now and then wondering what his next move was going to be he only stayed silent for the time being, yet the man was not finished it seem he walked up to lynx and pushed him out of his chair, he landed on the ground with a loud smack as his head slammed into a table, he stode up looking at the man blood coming from the back of his head, trickling down to the floor.

He clenched his fist and shook his head not sure what to do now, should he fight back or not he was very tempted at this point to show this man a thing or two but he wasn’t sure if he should yet, he didn’t want to get hauled off to jail after all he was new to this town and didn’t need to have a run in with the law.

Ranewen - September 28, 2004 11:35 PM (GMT)
Ranewen watched as the man came up to Lynx and pushed him off the chair. She sighed. It's no different here from the taverns in Talas... she thought and watched for a little while. The angel was bleeding badly from the back of his head. Maybe she should help him. Then again, when did she really help anyone? She couldn't remember budding in on someone else's business to help them out. The only time she did that was to save Bahamut from being a unicorn forever. That thought brought a smirk to her face and she had to stop herself from laughing out loud. She stood up slowly and walked over to the man, standing behind him.

Tapping him on the shoulder, he spun around and through a fist in her direction. She sidestepped and it hit the bar. He yelled in pain and shook his fist as if it would help stop the pain. His hand throbbed and matched with the beating of his heart. He glared at Ranewen and pointed at her and called her a witch. She only grinned and nodded her head as she raised her fist, placed her forearm against his throat and punched him square in the cheekbone. It would’ve been near impossible for a man as drunk as he was to get out of the way. She then stepped back as the man staggered backwards, the bar helping him catch his balance. He muttered a curse at her and Ranewen only laughed lightly.

He lunged at her and she didn’t move. But when he did come close to her, she used the spell telekinesis and raised him to his feet. His hands went to his throat as he tried to pry the invisible hands that weren’t really there. He was gagging for breath and a few people began to protest. By this time, her eyes turned a very deep red, and moving flames could be seen in her eyes. She then moved her hand to the left let the spell go as the man went flying into the wall over to her left and right near the door. She sighed and whipped off her hands as if it was nothing. She yawned and sat back down in her seat as a few of his friends went to help him and to see if he was all right.

After a while, she got bored and finally decided to go over and talk to Lynx. As is nothing had happened, she sat down opposite the seat he was sitting in. She waited for a minute to see what his reaction was. His attention was probably elsewhere in the tavern, so she cleared her throat. “You’re a new face… May I ask who you are?” She asked and waved over the barmaid to ask him what he wanted to drink. She ordered herself a refill of her wine and meat for he rtwo pseudo-dragons since they were probably very hungry. The barmaid nodded and turned to Lynx and asked him what he had wanted, seeing as how the trouble was elsewhere. As well as that, she asked if he wanted anything for the wound on his head since it was bleeding and getting the floor dirty. She bent down and began to clean it up with a rag she had brought over, glancing up every now and then to see if he made up his mind.

Lynx Alacult - September 29, 2004 10:02 PM (GMT)
He sat back down in his chair his wings folded behind his back, he shook his head a bit holding his left hand aginst the wound on the back of his head he gave a slight shrugg to her then turned to the barmaid and spoke rather quietly.

"..Im ah...Fine..sorry about that...."

He seemed not to mind the throbing pain in the back of his head, he turned to face the woman that had sat across from him and nodded a bit to her, the bleeding seemed to slow as he held his hand their.

"..Im ah Lynx Alacult...yes im new here....and thanks for helping me their..."

He studied her for a moment then looked back to the man who was standing up slowely holding his neck and looking around, Lynx chuckled at this for some reason and turned back to face her.

"..May i ask who you are?.."

He streched out his wings moveing them from side to side as he awaited a responce from the woman.
