Title: Desert Bandit

R'hul - September 27, 2004 07:57 PM (GMT)
Silent and alone, R'hul stood in the middle of the desert. He had not wandered here, nor was he stranded. R'hul intentionally walked here. He found it as his paradise. The desert had everything that he could have ever wanted from anything. He considered this place to be heaven.
The demon was leaning on his spear. The blade end of it had been stuck into the ground for this purpose. He watched as the sun dissappeared into the horizon. Soon, it became night, and the sky was fill with constellations. During this entire process, he had a blank expression on his face. R'hul had been in deep thought, on how he could make himself known to this land. He thought on how to become feared. An evil grin appeared on his face, bearing his bloodstained teeth. They were as sharp as his spear blade. The demon's crimson eyes looked up at the stars.
I wonder how long it will take,, R'hul thought to himself, to gather enough bandits to complete my plans. The smile on his face became larger. "Soon..." He stated as he removed the spear blade from the ground.

Lamya - September 28, 2004 12:08 AM (GMT)
As night began to fall, Lamya stopped to enjoy the cool, tingling sensation that swept over her. Excitement flowed through her veins. She had heard, more like forced, information from a local merchant about a demon that was searching for bandits. How had the merchant known? Because he was also the local gypsy. It was quite interesting how he had come to be there but Lamya was concentrating to hard to remember the story. "Where are you little demon?", Lamya whispered in a sing-song voice. "I am ready for your challenge." She plopped down on the cooling sand and twirled her shadow dagger around her fingers.

R'hul - September 28, 2004 12:18 AM (GMT)
R'hul saw the silhouette of a figure in the distance. What the... R'hul thought, as he slowly made his way closer to 'it'. He thought it was a woman, but some men did where their hair long in during these times. R'hul shivered at the thought. The demon decided to investigate further. He grasped his spear and neared the person slowly, trying to make no noise. As R'hul got closer, he saw that the figure was a woman, and that she had something in her hands. R'hul approached with even more caution.
"Who are you, and why are you sitting in the middle of the desert?" He asked sternly. R'hul concentrated his spear blade on the woman, in case she tried to pull something.

Lamya - September 28, 2004 01:53 AM (GMT)
Lamya placed her dagger on her leg and smiled up at the creature. "You must be the demon I have been searching for. I heard from a special little birdy that you may have a job for a lonely soul such as myself. Or perhaps you would like to set up a group thing. Which ever is good with me. I am here for the festivites." She laughed softly and stared at the spear. Then she reached her finger out and pricked it on the blade. A drop of the crimson liquid ran down her soft, white finger. "Ah what a very nice spear you have. But I do not think it is necessary now that I have introduced myself." She turned her eyes towards the demon and licked her wound.

R'hul - September 28, 2004 02:02 AM (GMT)
R'hul's eyes widened. How could someone know? He questioned in his mind searching for some sort of explanation. R'hul was not used to magic, and hadn't seen it be used before. In the desert, very little magic users cross the sands, and if they did, it was unlikely that R'hul would have come into contact with them, since the desert was large. The demon returned his attention to the woman.
"In that case," He started to say, raising his spear after she had pricked her finger on the edge, "you are welcome to join me. But it'll be a while before any group large enough for my plans come together." He stated.

Lamya - September 28, 2004 03:06 AM (GMT)
"As I expected." She jumped up and held out her hand. "Name's Lamya. May I inquire as to what yours is? And what time of group do are you planning on? Perhaps I know a few more little birdies that might want to join." She grinned wickedly. "Perhaps before we gather people, we can get more..aquainted with each other's...talents." She realized she was talking way to fast and tried to calm down. She didn't want to seem overzealous or the demon would surely question her real motives. She instantly stopped talking and waited for him to introduce himself.

((How do you make that pretty color for when you are thinking/talking?))

R'hul - September 28, 2004 03:17 AM (GMT)
"My name is R'hul." He said, ignoring her extended hand. He didn't trust her enough to do that. She might have a hidden dagger on her other hand. It took a lot to gain R'hul's trust.
"Well, hopefully you know a lot of 'birdies', because I intend to make bandits everywhere as rich as kings. And that involves a lot of man power." He said, grinning.
"Try and get ahold of your friends and tell them about me. If you get enough, we can meet back here, in the desert, far away from any rangers or guards. Then I will tell you my plans." R'hul said.

((I intend to try and make a guild, once I get enough money/gold. And the color is tan. You insert it into the [color=tan][color=tan] then the [-/-color] except without the "-".))

Lamya - September 28, 2004 06:46 PM (GMT)
"As you wish...master." The sound of the last word was foreign to her. Never had she followed behind another person. In fact she was used to working alone. This would be a dramatic change in her lifestyle but perhaps she would learn a few things. "I will hunt down my...friends and tell them of you. I am sure there are plenty who would want to become 'as rich as kings' as you so surely put it."

((What will be the name of this guild? And I can help you with the money situation. My other charrie isn't using her money at all (Lilith). And thnx for the tip.))

R'hul - September 28, 2004 07:50 PM (GMT)
"You don't need to call me master, if you don't want to. If you are going to help you could call it more of a partnership, for now." R'hul said, as he turned to walk away. He too was going to find others that might be interested in helping him. R'hul hoped that he could get enough bandits, rogues, and maybe even pirates that he could find. It would be difficult, but his plans would come into being, eventually.

((I was going to call it the Desert Faction. Unless you can think of something else. And that would be awesome if you could help pay.))

Lamya - September 28, 2004 08:09 PM (GMT)
"A partnership eh? That I can do." She smirked and watched him walk away. Then she abruptly turned and headed for the city. -First place, Tethyr City. Then I'll move on to bigger cities such as Talas. This shall be interesting.- She continued walking through the hot desert sand until she reached the city.

((I'll try to think of names and run them by you.))

R'hul - September 28, 2004 08:17 PM (GMT)
R'hul continued walking. He had heard of a bandit camp in a place called Norwood Forest. That was the demon's first destination. There should be some willing souls there, and if there weren't, which he highly doubted, he'd go somewhere else.
He stopped walking, and took in a deep breath. R'hul looked around, to get one final look at the desert, and continued on his journey.

((alright))
