Title: The Managa Heritage

Lynx Alacult - September 25, 2004 09:35 PM (GMT)
He was sitting in a chair in a lone table, their were not many people in the Library which he was thankful for he seemed to keep to him self he had found this book in a diffrent Library but had made a fool of him self aquireing it he turned the page intruged to see his peoples scriptures he read the pages slowely takeing in every bit of infromation only a small bit of light emmiting from the candle on the table enabled him to read the fine print.

Looking up for a moment he began to think about his past and the home he was Exiled from "Eypon" he was accused of a crime he dident do he shook his head and let out a small sigh reading outloud quietly almost in a whisper, his left foot tapping on the ground gently as he read.

"..Dra Syhyky Ranedyka ec byccat tufh drnuikr uid dra csymm Nyla uv Yhkamc dra uhmo drehk dryd sygac dras tevvnahd vnus udran yhkamc ec cusadrehk lymmat y "Dnyhla Uv Keqq" eh frelr y taab vaamehk uv Vayn un Ryda lyh fycr ujan uha uv dra Syhyky yht lyica dras du cmeb ehdu y cund uv Dnyhla frana draen Navmaqac, Cbaat, Cdnahkdr, Yllinylo, Ald. yna knaydo ysbmoveat sygeahk dras tevvelimd du gemm, oad cusa caa dras yc rihdehk cbund..""

It was indeed the Managa Speach that few could understand he shook his head closeing the book placeing his left arm across it he layed his head down and began to drift into a small sleep he seemed to be quite tired, he was infact an angel but he kept his Wings and such hidden from sight only those with the abilty to see currents of energy may be able to catch a glimpse of them.

Aleria - September 26, 2004 03:59 PM (GMT)
Aleria was walking through thr library, looking at books on the Air element. She pulled down a book about the different air spells and sat at a table. When she looked to her left, she was startled to fnd that someone was sitting there already. She blushed, but then noticed that he was sleeping, so she didn't apologize, nor did she move. She didn't want to wake him up. She'd feel really bad if she had.

She opened the book and glanced up at him once more, before looking back down. For some reason, she felt that there was more to this boy that met the eye. She shrugged, her eyes going back to the page to start reading about the spells she had purchased and the ones she knew she was going to purchase, which happened to be all of the Air elemental spells. Looking up once more at him, she decided on what she would do.

She tapped on his shoulder and then sat back in her chair and went back to reading. Maybe if she played dumb, he would think he had hit himself and woke himself up. The maybe he'd see her and ignore her, or even start a possible conversation. She yawned lightly and skimmed a long the page until she found the control winds spell. She began eading about that when her eyes traveled once mor e up to look at Lynx, wondering if he was even going to stir in his sleep. Let him sleep... she told herself as she leaned back in her chair, sliding the book onto her lap.

Lynx Alacult - September 26, 2004 05:33 PM (GMT)
Lynx was what you could call a light sleeper, He jumped up a bit as she tapped him on full alert almost falling backwards out of his chair but something caught his fall the chair was nearly fallen over but something seemed to prop him upward.

He had his arms outstreched to either side of him then he then began to lean back forward as something behind him pushed him back up to the table, he looked around then opened his book again and began reading from it once again but this time to him self.

Looking up from time to time at the woman sitting across from him he closed his book and looked to the book she was reading.

"..Ah..Hello...Sorry to bother you...but may i ask what your reading?..."

Aleria - September 26, 2004 05:49 PM (GMT)
Aleria looked up and smiled. "You're a wake..." she said sarcastically and smirked. "I am reading about the Air Spells. That's what I want to do - study the air elements." She smiled and nodded her head towards the book. "At this time, though, I only have three air spells, but I am working on buying more. I know Control Winds, Whirwind, and Summon Lightning,"

She nodded and turned the book around in case he wanted to look at what she was reading. She shut it so the cover was visible. To demonstrate, she mutter ed a few words and a wind picked up and opened the book, the pages flapping to the left until she got to the page she was reading. She let the winds died and nodded her head. "That's the Control Wind spell I just used..." she nodded slowly.

She then slapped her forehead. "Oh, I'm sorry... I forgot to introduce myself. I am Aleria, a half-Elvin, half-Fae trader." She smiled and extended her hand over the table in greeting, hoping to learn his name as well. She let her wings become visible to show him proof of her half-Fae side. Her icy blue eyes looked him over once and she smiled, then looked to the book he was reading. She shrugged, not knowing what it was and looked back at him , still smiling politely.

Lynx Alacult - September 26, 2004 05:57 PM (GMT)
He nodded to her and extened his hand shakeing hers, debateing in his mind if he should tell her hes an angel or not he haddent seen any in this land as of yet he shrugged their was no use in hideing what was their.

"..Oh, Im Lynx...Lynx Alacult...and im...ah..."

He sighed a bit and closed his eyes the grip on her hand would tighten a bit their was a bright flash of light when the blinding flash cleared a rather large pair of pure white angel wings would be extened from his back flexing softly every now and then a single white feather would fall to the floor and fade away he wraped the wings around his small form for a moment then outstreched them again a small smile on his face.

"..an ah...Managa...its a type of Evolved Angel.....its a pleasure to meet you Aleria.."

Aleria - September 26, 2004 11:26 PM (GMT)
"A pleasure it is, to meet you. I'm sure you're the only one like yourself in Imythess. You come from a different place, I assume?" She said and shook his heand back before letting go of his hand and placing it down on her book as she pulled it towards herself to start reading again when they were done talking to each other. She looked back up, though, at Lynx, wondering if he had only just come to Imythess, or if he had been here for a while and that she just didn't see him before.

There were a lot of people in Imythess. So, missing him if he was here wouldn't be a once-in-a-lifetime thing. She shrugged mentally and looked at his wings and how the feathers fell to the floor and then magically disappeared. She looked back at her own wings. They weren't feathers. They weren't even close. They looked more like a butterfly's wings, yet transparent.

She shifted her gaze back up to Lynx's face, not wanting to be rude. But his wings were fascinating to her. She had never seen such wings like those before. She only wished that she had wings with feathers, but it was not meant to be. So, she shrugged again and folded her hands in her lap as she waited for her answer patiently. She had all the time she needed, and she was in no rush. She didn't want to rush a possibly new friend.

Lynx Alacult - September 26, 2004 11:34 PM (GMT)
He glanced up at her as he read his book the wings on his back folded in and outward as he read he turned the page, glanceing back behind him trying to think of a topic to talk to this person with he sighed shakeing his head speaking quietly to him self.

"..E fyc hajan yho kuut yd drec, sygaehk vneahtc un "Vmendehk" fedr kenmc ur famm draenc y vencd desa vun ajanodrehk....."

He looked back at her and shrugged.

"..So where are you from anyway?.."

wasent the best way to start he had to start somewhere.

Aleria - September 26, 2004 11:52 PM (GMT)
She rose an eyebrow at what he had said in a different language, so she shrugged her shoulders. Then, he asked her a question and she shrugged. "From what I can remember, I was born here as a daughter to an Elf and a Faerie." She shrugged once again, not really knowing where she was born. In either Talas, or in Kellen. One of those two. Or maybe even in the Water Fall City, Cascadia.

"I don't know where I was born... In one of the three cities here. Kellen, Cascadia, or here, in Talas." She honestly didn't know where she was born, but most l ikely in Cascadia. But she was from Imythess. She knew that much. And her parents were long gone, no question about that. As soon as Aler ia was able to take care of herself, they had moved to another land. And now here she was, talking to Lynx.

"You must feel like a misfit of some kind, right? I do. Many times. People wonder why I look like an elf, yet I have wings. They just don't get it." She shook her head and sighed heavily and went back to reading, trying to forget the stares that she received from the humans. They just don't understand that it's not the race that counts in love... she wanted to say, but she stopped herself from saying it.

Lynx Alacult - September 27, 2004 12:27 AM (GMT)
He looked up at her and smiled shakeing his head his race as he saw it was worse than humans or anything else for that matter, he bent his wings aginst his back, the feathers still were falling but their seemed to be no empty spots it was as if the feathers were placed back where they fell from when they faded, he closed the book to talk to her.

"..A misfit?..no...my people think their a Superior to every other race because i dident Learn their...teachings...if you could call them that i was Exiled from my home so iv been travleing around looking for a place to start a new life you know?.."

He sighed a bit shrugging the marks on his face seemed to glow dimly as he spoke of this matter.

Aleria - September 27, 2004 01:01 AM (GMT)
"I know... Imythess is a good place to start all over again. I, however, am looked down on as if I am an outcast of a misfit." She nodded her head and let er wings disappear, not wanting to attract attention to herself. Then she saw the marks on his face slightly glow. She frowned, as she tried to calculate why they were glowing.

"The marks on your face... they're glowing... Why?" she asked curiously and looked at the marks, and then back at his eyes.

(Bah, sorry it's so short...)

Lynx Alacult - September 27, 2004 10:50 AM (GMT)
He sighed looking at her the marks glowed a bit brighter a dim green for a moment then dimed down a bit he looked to the crest embeded onto his left arm and pulled up his robes sleave it extended all the way up his shoulder in an odd patteren it glowed a dim white.

"..The ones on my face i was born with their the marks of our kind....the one on my arm here is what they called a "Limiter Crest" they are placed onto the bodies of Exiles,it binds my magic is binded so i cannot use any of the magic i learned their...it is the mark for shame or so they say.....the marks glow because of the fact that when we think about tragic events or happy events energy begins to pulse through our bodies and it is showed through the color of the glowing and how bright it is.."

He pulled the sleve back down and glanced down a bit, but he nodded to her glanceing up tilting his head a bit, folding his wings around him gently

"..Yes i think this may be a good place to.....give life a new start i can only hope that i am accepted here, as you said i have yet to see an Angel in this land....but you...you shouldent feel like an outcast why do you?"

OOC:..Mine have been a bit short too lol been running out of time

Aleria - September 27, 2004 07:14 PM (GMT)
"Because I am a mix of two mysterious races. You don't see an elf and a fae couple all of the time. So, people just stay away from me and think that I'm sort of... weird. Some think I'm beautiful, others think I'm just plain ugly. Believe me, I've been called many things..." she shook her head and then looked back down at him, nodding at what he had said earlier so he knew that she was paying attention and not off in some dreamland.

"We all seek acceptance. But, really, do we accept ourselves?" she asked rhetorically. "People are embarassed for the way they are. I'm not. I couldn't care less about what people thought about me. So, my kind are rare. So what? It's not my fault that my parents didn't care about their race. They found love in their personalities. And I just don't get why people stay away from me because I'm different..."

She shook her head and sighed heavily and looked back at her book as she turned the page in the book. She shook her head, still very angered about why people ignored her. They usually never answered her questions. If she asked where a place was, most of the time people would just keep going about their own business as if she was never there. How she wished she could turn around and kick them. But she was taught better than that, so she wouldn't do that. She knew it wasn't the right thing to do. Eventually, her gaze went back to Lynx to see if he had anything to say.

Lynx Alacult - September 27, 2004 09:43 PM (GMT)
He glanced down for a moment not knowing quite what to say, a slight chill ran down his spine his wings shivered slightly he looked back up to her his gaze drifting from side to side, he sighed shifting his legs a bit he looked to her.

"...Well..everyone feels out of place from time to time, they feel as if their not wanted around that they dont belong but the only problem they fail to see is they have to find "where" they will be accepted and not looked down upon which is no easy task...trust me i know haha.."

He smiled to her a bit tilting his head to the side slightly then he rose his head to meet hers again to speek once more to her.

"..Acceptance is something that everyone seeks but few find ironicly...but im sure you will find your place in time i mean people who judge on apperance alone do not know what its like to truly be accepted...i ah...hmm..."

He shook his head looking up for a moment then letting his head fall onto the book out of things to say haveing no idea where he was going with this talk or what he was talking about he shook his head into the book mumbleing to him self

""..E ryja hu etay fryd du damm ran.....es cilr y mucan frah ed lusac du drec cdivv..."

Aleria - September 27, 2004 10:05 PM (GMT)
She shrugged her shoulders, not knowing what to say. She, too, lowered her gaze back down to her book and she began reading about the Whirlwind spell. She looked around and thought better of creating one in the middle of the library. Maybe I should take this home with me... she thought and shrugged her shoulders, not really caring what she decided to do with it. She could always go ask the goddess, Ciara, for help if she needed it badly. But she would be able to teach herself.

She softly shut the book and rose, going to return it and check out a book that was an actual story of some sort. She took one out without even looking at the title. She sat down and figured out that it was a bard's book. It was one of the famous tales of Imythess. She smiled to herself and settled down in her deat and lifted the book up onto the table and began to read it, deciding not to speak. She liked the silence. It was almost as relaxing as the rain.

Lynx Alacult - September 27, 2004 10:20 PM (GMT)
He looked up at her every so often the silence makeing him feel awkard in a way he drumed his left hand on top of the book looking around he smiled up to her, his wings bending over tapping her on the shoulder then folding back behind him he looked to her.

"Hey i dont know anyone here yet your more or less the first person iv talked to here....and truth be told i wouldent mind getting to know you better, perhaps haveing someone i know here would help me fit in better?...."

He shrugged wraping his wings around him a rather blank look upon his face as he tilted his head to the side a bit a feather falling on his book then fadeing away he awaited a responce from her.

Aleria - September 28, 2004 12:29 AM (GMT)
Feeling the tap, she looked up and listened to what he had to say. "I suppose it wouldn't hurt making a first friend, would it?" She smiled and shrugged and placed her book down on the table, shutting it. She remembered which page she was on. She looked around at the deserted library and felt as if she were in her own world - as if she were dreaming in her own little world. She felt like it. Here she was, talking to a person who belonged to a race she never even heard of.

Aleria was glad that she had a new friend - one who sort of understood her. He was like her - different, in a good way. They'd become good friends, she'd hope. He seemed nice enough. "It seems deserted here, doesn't it?" she asked and looked at him and then around the library once more.

Lynx Alacult - September 28, 2004 09:18 PM (GMT)
He looked around for a moment to the left then turned his head to the right a slight frown on his face as he looked around, folding his wings behind him he looked over to her and shrugged his shoulders.

"...Yeah...i suspose it is rather empty in here.."

He frowned looking around quite taken back at the amount of people that were now gone, had he been talking to this girl for that long he thought about that for a moment then laughed a bit to him self.

"..Fuhtan fryd es kuehk du tu huf..."

Aleria - September 28, 2004 09:39 PM (GMT)
Aleria sighed. "They'll be back... They always come back. They're probably out eating lunch at the Tavern. I come here a lot." She nodded her head and smiled. It was true: she came here a whole bunch when she wasn't off doing her job as a Trader. She was what one would call a "book worm". She is determined to read all of the Bard's tales and perhaps become one of her own if she found some interesting tails.

She looked down at the book and began reading about Losse. She didn't know who this 'Losse' was, so she was determined to read on without reading the captions under the drawings. She saw that it was a beautiful unicorn. She then looked down at the script on the page written by a bard whose name wasn't legible. She shrugged and read on. So far, it was an interesting story to her eyes. Some of it made her want to laugh. She'd skipped the summary of it so everything would be a complete surprise to he r.

Lynx Alacult - September 29, 2004 09:50 PM (GMT)
He was getting rather bored sitting here with nothing to do he looked around for a moment then stode up carrying the book he was reading at his side and streched, pushing in the chair he sighed for a moment then looked over at her, she still seemed content on reading the book.

"..Hey are you going to be here all nite or do you want to take a walk around?..."

He wraped his wings around him and awaited a responce, the marks on his face glowing softly, a rather blank look upon his face.

OOC:..Lol im running out of things to post about in this RP

Aleria - September 30, 2004 08:20 PM (GMT)
((Same here... Lol))

Aleria nodded her head and closed the book. She'd come check it out later on. She would have a while off of trading, and she was allowed to go on when ever she wanted to. "I don't see why not. A walk can't hurt anybody. Well, technically it can, but still..." she said, her voice trailing off as she smirked and pushed out her chait and stood up. She pushed it up against the table again and stetched slightly. She jogged to where she had gotten the book fro mand came back. "Where would you like to go to?" she asked and looked at him curiously.

Lynx Alacult - September 30, 2004 11:16 PM (GMT)
He looked around still holding the book at his side he smiled to his his wings were outstreched behind him as he looked towards the exit his gaze drifting back to her rather slowely.

"..Um...i..i dont know this area too well sorry......but you seem to come here alot...know any places?.."

He spoke the truth he had managed to find his way here but other than that he had no idea where anything was in this place, he looked to her for a moment, his wings folding around his body as he felt a slight chill run down his spine, it seemed to be getting quite chilly in this area.
