Title: Light, or Shadow?
Layila - September 25, 2004 08:31 PM (GMT)
Layila quietly walked down the halls of the caves, she was alone which was differant for her. Normally she would have brought along at least Larka, but today she walked alone and silence surrounded her as she sat on a crystal and pulled out her flute. It was a sad song with many long hlaf and whole note carrying through and eachoaing in the caves, low notes with the occasional high one here or there. Then the musci drifted on the air as she put down the instrument, and put her head in her hands. Not one or the other... So where do I fit, not with the angels, but not with shadows... She began to play her confusion once more in the low long song.
Moridin Sei'taer - September 25, 2004 08:39 PM (GMT)
Moridin found himself seeking shelter in the caves to escape the acursed sun that caused so many problems for him, with any place the Moridin travelled in his steps were almost completely silent almost as though he wasn't really there at all, while trying to stay to the shadows causing the Vampire to venture deeper into the caves a soft song began to float to Moridin's ears,
A rather shocked look appeared on Moridin's usually smooth face as he saw nothing but a girl sitting down alone it appeared, a small smile appeared on Moridin's lips his fangs even began to extend some causing two little white points to stick out from his pale lips,
Stepping inot more visible light Moridin's high collared clothing hid his neck from the girl his silent steps taking him closer to the girl until he believe he was close enough "perhaps you are like me, fitting nowhere?" Moridin offered the girl, showing partly that he had been spying on her breifly his tall figure towering over the seatened girl
Layila - September 25, 2004 08:47 PM (GMT)
Layila stopped playing and addressed the man. Or perhaps I don't fit under you catigory, I have my place though I have yet to find it, though those who have underestimated my determination not to follow the course they want me to, well lets just say... They're not around any more. She stood and her face was completly blank and her eyes deep and dark, cold angery and sad all at once. She wasn't afraid of the two white teeth sticking out, she had her magic and her bow, both would aid her if she needed it.
She studied the tall man with blank eyes, and finially spoke agian. Who are you, and why were you spying on me? She didn't like to give her name out unless she needed to.
Moridin Sei'taer - September 25, 2004 08:57 PM (GMT)
Moridin listened to the girl and found her thought's to be wiser then the years she appeared to be, a grin appearing over Moridin's lips and he bent down so his face was level with the girls and tilted his head as long hair fellout to the side Moridin chuckled some "How do you know, that you course is meant to follow me?. or another?" Moridin asked his face holding an amused expression at how dangerous she sounded,
Moridin looked slightly taken aback and he stepped back slowly a feigned look of hurt appeared on his face "My name Is Moridin Sei'taer, and I wasn't spying on you,.. I was more. in search of a meal" Moridin spoke his piercing eyes looking at the girl as though she was the intended meal,
Moridin wasn't really hungry the thought of playing with the girl for some odd reason brought a smile to his face, "and would you have a name miss?' Moridin asked a slight smile twisting his lips softly
Layila - September 25, 2004 09:05 PM (GMT)
Layila smiled and chuckled. I'm sorry but I don't intend to be some one's meal and if you don't intend to be burnt to a crisp then you wouldn't want to eat me. She thought for a moment at the proposal of stating her name, if he did try anything she couldn't let him die without knowing his slayer. As for my name it is Layila. She was acctually hopping to have him attack her, she hadn't burned any one in a long while, and the screams of the people that last met their fate were becoming faint in her memory. Fire was boiling in her eyes and she was ready to use her magic at any time, ready to hear his screams. Dispite her obvious lack of years and age, she was quite dangerous.
Moridin Sei'taer - September 25, 2004 09:17 PM (GMT)
Moridin listened to her and shook his head "So rude, you should really show some respect" Moridin stated bluntly after she finished threatening him
Moridin nodded as she gave him her name and his head tilted slightly to the side after breifly pushing his hair out of the way Moridin took on a more serious tone "What makes you so sure that threatening a Vampire is a wise choice?" Moridin asked in half facisnation, the last thing he had expected was to find a girl openly threatening him, Moridin had to give it to her though, she seemed to handle herself well,
Perhaps it was her years that caused Moridin some second thought about playing with the girl to much, she seemed rather dangerous, Moridins look took on a more studying expression, as he waited for the girls answer.
Layila - September 25, 2004 09:25 PM (GMT)
Layila looked to the ground a slight smile on her face though her eyes staied the same, always constant, she looked up at him. I show respect to those who give it to me, every one is the same, and every oen has weaknesses and strengths, its how you use them against the person. Besides, if I die I don't care, I have nothing to live for that I won't see and hear in hell. Its simple really, no one cares about me so I don't care about any one, no attachments, no regrets, no pain. She stated this all with a simple bit of happiness in her voice. Now then if you promise not to kill me, or drain me dry feel free to bite me, as I have stated I don't care. She was now in her usual tone a monotone daring, cold, sad and angery voice, though her eyes never showed happiness, they did ocasionally grow a little darker, or a little sadder.
Moridin Sei'taer - September 25, 2004 09:40 PM (GMT)
Moridin listened to the girl, and with every word she spoke facsinated Moridin even more, taking a seat on the ground infront of Layila Moridin was now looking up to her slightly "How is it that one of such young years develops such an attitude to life?' Moridin asked a hint of respect in his voice for the girl,
Moridin then shook his head almost offended "I promise I won't drain you dry or kill you, but I do not wish to feed just yet.. you have managed to intruige me" Moridin confessed his eyes scanning hers and seeing no happiness,
Layila - September 25, 2004 09:50 PM (GMT)
Layila sighed, and shrugged. My out look on life is such because you learn a lot in the years you are alone in the world, after you see so much you learn quickly. For my age though I am young it is true, for 10 years after i killed my mother and all of my angel realitives I lived on my own, I'm only 16 now but you can witness a lot in the world. I just learned quicker then others to take care of myself and not to let any one do that for me. People will try to live their lives through you. She shook her head as she began to ramble, her eyes had become darker and darker, as she remembered her family flames erupted in them. Thats what my mother tried to do, she tried to make me live my life the way she wanted me to. My grandmother, and all the others tried as well, so I burned them all I ran from there and I've lived on my own, the only one left that I would really like to kill for a reason is my father. She turned from the vampire to collect herself and calm down, she took a deep breath and turned back. I've told you my out look on life, what pray tell is yours?? She had a curious look about her now.
Moridin Sei'taer - September 27, 2004 12:24 PM (GMT)
Moridin's attention was fixed on the girl and he nodded as she spoke agreeing with most things she spoke of and not upset with her killing her family, Moridin bit his lip unknowingly and a thin smear of blood appeared on his bottom lip, still oblivious to that fact,
A small smile played over Moridin's lips, the girl despite her years was truely what most would consider evil, and that would not go down well in some places looking at her a slight look of concern in his eyes an odd occurance for Moridin "My out look on life?.... an odd question to ask a vampire. most say that I am not alive... but I walk do I not?...." Moridin shrugged slightly and smiled "I suppose I do not bother others unless they bother me, I feed but that does not mean I kill them.... it's these misconceptions that cause people to hate my kind so much, and that is why I dislike them" Moridin slimply shrugged again and went quiet for a while,
A thought breifly came to Moridin and before he could squash it the question had left his mouth "Do you hunt your father?... and do you know where he is?"
Layila - September 30, 2004 12:54 AM (GMT)
Layila smiled and gave a little giggle, My father knows better then to get in my way thats why he left after I was born, he knew I wouldn't fit in and that I would become a tad bit evil so he left. However if I did happen to see him he wouldn't even live long enough to ask who I was. And I don't believe it to be an odd question to ask some one their opinion, as you do have independant thought and free will, even if you aren't alive or dead. It is simmilar to my current problem, do I want to stay evil and mess with all the villages and burn them to the ground as people run around in a screaming web of chaos. Or do I wish to mend my ways and become an angel. She smiled slightly at the thought of all the havoc and chaos she could create with a little fire and some spells. You may say that you are niether living nor dead, but you are correct you walk this world just as real as myself and any one else.
She did sense a little bit of concern on his face as a thin line of blood ran down his lip. She turned and took a few steps and turned around again, this man was fine company, she felt as though it would be a nice thing to have a friend, but knew not to trust any one with any of her secrets. Some things she would just keep to herself, no one but her would know, not even her beloved pets would know. They were secrets she would take to her own grave...
Moridin Sei'taer - October 1, 2004 08:43 PM (GMT)
A thin smile came over Moridin as the girl spoke more of her father and then of burning and killing an odd train of thought to be coming from one such as herself, Perhaps that was why he found her facisnating,
"You seem to run into a problem towards the end.... by becoming "evil" and causing chaos, you are still doing what others want you to,... the same goes for good.... if you become good people will take advantage of you. Do me a favor and do things only for you" Moridin spoke softly a hint of kindness in his voice
Moridin nodded slowly at her next statement and a clight look of concern breifly flittered across Moridins face as he tasted blood causing him to realise that he had gone without for a long time,
A more hungry look gazed towards Layila this time Moridin was still sat on the floor where he was once in front of the girl, Moridin began slowly licking the blood off his lips, the small cut on his lip slowly spilling alittle more blood, and Moridin began licking from the wound again,
Layila - October 2, 2004 03:01 AM (GMT)
Layila smiled at his licking of the tiny wound. You look a little hungry, and it would be near impossible for some one to take advantage of me... She smiled as she then walked towards him and sat down next to him. She squinted her eyes and looked at him with a little bit of confusion. Why do you speak with kindness?? This was bothering her, Moridin seemed to be worried about her why would any one feel that way, espeacially about her.
Moridin Sei'taer - October 2, 2004 06:46 AM (GMT)
Moridin smiled and nodded his head slowly "I guess I am a tad hungry" Moridin confessed to Layila as she sat next to him,
Moridins eyes were unfocused for a moment Moridin soon came back and he turned slightly to see the girl squinting at him a slightly quizical look flashed across Moridin's face until she spoke,
Moridin chuckled softly and tilted his head as he stared at her "because I do not feel the need to be unkind to you... do you think I should be unkind to you?, why do you not set me on fire?" Moridin questioned her back a slight smile danced over Moridin's face again as the dried blood sat on the outer side of his lip. Moridin appeared to not notice it,
Layila - October 2, 2004 02:55 PM (GMT)
Layila saw some truth in what he said, I haven't set you on fire because you have not angered me. She smiled a little, then snaped her fingures to create a small fireball in her hand. She slowly ran her fingures through it as it danced silently in her hand giving off a little heat. Do you like fire? Her eyes were fixed on the ball of swirling heat and light as she spoke. I do, you want to know why? She wasn't going to let him answer but felt to ask him, Its like a swirling ball of eternal chaos, the only place where anything can belong and be welcome, the only thing that stays constant but always changes... She continued to play with the ball of fire quite intently she let her wings out and stretched them a little as she played with it remembering the howls and screams of pain from people she had killed.
((OOC: sorry its not that good i gotta help my parents get ready for my nanny's b-day, and i have a science project to work on...i get to research arsenic.... ::evilness:: ))
Moridin Sei'taer - October 2, 2004 08:20 PM (GMT)
Moridin wasn't afriad that the girl might have used the fireball against him as it appeared in her hands, instead he simply starred at it, Moridin was vaugely aware of his fangs extending slowly the little peaks of white teeth becoming alittle more,
"fire..." Moridin questioned almost to himself as she continued not giving him any more time to respond, Moridin starred at her as she starred at the ball of fire, Moridin listened to her and nodded slowly,
It was when her wings came out that Moridin frowned slightly he was slightly shocked he had never heard of an angel being able to conceal there wings before Moridin shook it off and smiled tightly again "that is a good point, yet I followed the element of Air more.. it can be so much more sinister" Moridin spoke softly as he thought about the damage done with air before, even the times it has gotten him out of trouble.
Layila - October 2, 2004 09:10 PM (GMT)
Layila looked at him and her eyes were playful but dark. I prefer fire becuase I can watch them suffer and the chaos consumes them, to hear the screams and howls of pain and suffering... She took on a tone not her usual one, a sadder one of more understanding. The chaos of fire is the pressures of the world and I can let people feel what pain truely is what going on inside... Why was she saying this, what was wrong with her?? It was mostly the fact that she was telling what she felt, because this was something people didn't think she could do was feel. Under the emotionless monotone expressions there was saddness and anger, something that no one knew, no one should know. You know I still don't care if you bite me, if your really that hungry... She was now desperatly trying to change the subject.
Moridin Sei'taer - October 2, 2004 09:32 PM (GMT)
Moridin chuckled at the thought and nodded he agreed that sometimes it was fun to watch people suffer yet it was not always practical, then Moridin realised that this girl was a chaotic form of evil, as long as she gets the satisfaction it doesn't matter how impractical,
this thought flashed through Moridin's thoughts and was gone as she began to speak again Moridin frowned as she stopped. "Me." Moridin finished for Layila as she stopped his voice soft,
Moridin felt the saddness in her voice a pleasant change from the monotone she was using before, Moridin's head picked up slowly at the notion of food "If I do feed from you,... you will be weakened for a good hour" Moridin warned the girl,.. he guessed that deing weak perhaps scared the girl some, Moridin dared not say anything, he knew it was not his place, so he simply hinted at being weak and became curious of whether she would still allow him, whether she would place any trust in him.
Layila - October 2, 2004 10:40 PM (GMT)
Layila looked at him blankly. If you let me die, know that I will find a way to come back and pull you into an eternal hell off sufferage and pain. Though I don't mind some weakness as long as it isn't perminent. She wasn't going to let her little bit of fear show and so it didn't. Her mind was a little clouded any way and a few hours of not doing anything might clear it up. She brushed her hair aside from her neck, and waited for his response.
((OOC: sorry its short...))
Moridin Sei'taer - October 3, 2004 11:05 PM (GMT)
Moridin glanced at Layila after she spoke "when you put it that way.." Moridin spoke normally a small smiled flittered across his face and was gone as she bared her neck.
Moridin sat there for awhile wondering if it was just a trap to attempt to hurt him, running his tounge over his teeth Moridin soon forgot about that and moved in slowly,
opening his mouth wide giving his long fangs room to bury themselves into the girls neck, Moridin's lips gently rested on her neck as he began to collect the blood as it poured easily out of the girl,
Moridin continued this, one arm around the girls back to support her if she began to fall, Moridin then began to feel her heart beat growing slower, and he knew it was time to stop, gently pulling away, his lips were smeared with blood along with Layila's neck, Moridin staying close to Layila ready to catch and support her when if she fell,
