Title: Ambushing the infedels [p]
Bryonn Insevetyu - September 22, 2004 02:21 PM (GMT)
After getting a few leads, Bryonn had finally obtained the whereabouts of the pirates who had destroyed his homeland. He trekked a long while from Norwood and was bent on killing all of them. He never felt hatred towards anybody who didn't deserve it and for him to want to kill, vengance was the only cause.
He had his bow drawn and an arrow notched. He was going to take them down one by one and if it got too thick, he would use their own weapons against them. He was reaching the entrance to the cave when he heard a sound from behind him. He turned around quickly and released his arrow in the direction of the sound. His eyes widened as he saw who the arrow flew towards and pondered why a woman would be around a place like this.

She couldn't help but scream out as an arrow wizzed pass her, cutting her upper arm. With eyes wide Ciara looked to her attacker with begging eyes, shocked by the unexpected reaction. Her mouth opened and then closed again as a chilly breeze passed through the cove.
Still standing in disbelief, Ciara knew that he could not truly harm her, but her arm sent out a throbbing pain from where the arrow had hit. She reached up, looking down upon the cut and gasped as the warm blood ran down her arm, soaking into the white wrappings which covered her hand and lower arm.
Looking to the man with the bow and arrows once again, she panicked. Turning around, she darted in another direction within the cove.

As he heard her scream, he panicked and held his finger to his mouth. He obviously drew blood and felt bad about it. "M'lady I am ver...where are you going?!" He almost screamed as she ran into the cave. He put away his bow and got up. He began chasing her so she wouldn't start a ruckus and ruin his ambush.
As he chased her he slowly gained on her. About a few yards away from her, they passed through two pillars. When he passed them he was halted by two cutlasses held at his throat. "Well well well what do we have here? This is no place for elves. Maybe we outta teach you a lesson." Bryonn felt his heart jump to his throat as he knew he could forget about any chance of suprises early on. He slowly backed up as he saw the woman continue to run. Teeth clenched, he waited for the pirates to make a mistake to capitolize on.

She hadn't been highly liked among the group of pirate's the dwelt in these caves, she had at one time in fact been attacked by them as well. Over time she had been accepted and allowed to venture through the caves only because of her small connection and the pirate's lack of knowledge.
She had kept running, she wanted away from the man who had nearly shot her with the arrow but she also heard him as he was halted by the guards. They spoke to him with their curvy tongues, sickly sounding almost. Ciara still held onto her arm as she slumped down and pouted as her mind wander to thoughts of going back for him or just leaving him to the cruel fate of a pirate's torture.
It was a cruel thing to do to anyone and before she knew it she was walking about toward the guards and the man with the bow, sighing heavily to herself in disappointment. "Stop, don't touch him." She growled at the guards. "No, I want to be the one to teach him a lesson." Giving her best glare she looked between the two as they sputtered out their arguments. She raised her hand to them and shook her head. "You see what he did to me." She continued to glare though it wasn't natural for her to do until they mumbled curses and turned to leave.

*He looked at her with a grim look as she dismissed the seemingly guards of the cove. He took a deep breathe as they released their swords from his neck and then looked at her as she seemed pretty mad at what he did. When she held her arm out to her, he sighed. "M'lady I hope you know that arrow was not meant for you, but" He whispered "for these beasts that lie within here."
He hoped he wouldn't have to fight her for that would bring even more attention to him. "I am very sorry for wounding you and if you give me the chance, I will heal you and pay for any damages to your clothing." He was against fighting women, but if she charged at him he would have no other choice.

She was surprised that he had taken her so seriously, she had been really upset that he had hit her with the arrow, not so much that her clothing had been ruined. She did pace before him, lifting her hand to look at just how deep the arrow had gone. What was he thinking then? Doesn't he know to look first and then to release? She sighed heavily as she rested her hand back against her arm and looked down. "Why would you shoot me? I had no weapons, you didn't even look!"
She stopped and turned to him, her hand open though it was down at her side and the other was over the wound. She stepped in closer to him, though something told her that she should not. "And what are you doing down here?" She whispered at him, her eyes were wide with surprise that he would even think to venture down into the caves of Pirate Cove at all. She wanted to tell him how foolish it was to be down here, how dangerous it was, but she could see from the blood spilled down her arm that he was quite capable of taking care of himself. "What if it wasn't me that you had run into and shot just moments ago, what if it was one of them. You know that they would have your head if they found you without me? They had almost did when they stopped you!"
Her voice was soft but had grown in volume as she continued on. She had to keep herself from yelling out at him. Turning quickly, her bare feel moved easily over the smoothed, rocky flooring of the caves. What am I to do with you now, I can't just walk you out of here, they will have my head as well. It was no time for her to begin to play favorites with the prisoners, with Alexander gone and her binding undone, she was vulnerable to their attack just as the elf had been. She had to think of another way.

"I didn't look because I rely on my senses more than my eyes, for they can be decietful at times. But again I apologize for the injury I have caused you." He looked at her a bit irritated that she hasn't found out why he's here. "I am here for obvious reasons...these men destroyed my home, my family--I am here to exact the revenge that they deserve."
"If you hadn't popped up behind me, I wouldn't have run into the cove to make sure you didn't blow my cover, but I guess that was unavoidable." As he finished his sentence he saw one of the pirates brandishing a rapier behind the woman, ready to thrust the weapon through her back. He pushed her aside and leaped at the man. The rapier's tip scratched his abdomen before Bryonn tackled the man to the floor. Clenching his hands together, he brought it down upon the man's face, knocking him out, he then quickly drew a dagger and shoved it up the man's jaw. Blood squirted out and sprayed across his sace as he ended the pirate's misery and drew the blade from his jaw. He slowly rose from the body, breathing heavy, his dagger dripping with blood. He looked back at the woman "You can do what you want, but I am not leaving untill they all pay for what they did...

She groaned and sighed, the blood was a bit much for her but it was something she was getting used to seeing. Though she hadn't used Andre in quite some time, the skill still required a special stomach. She poked a bit at the wound and looked up to the elf through dark long lashes. "You will owe me." She pouted as she cleaned the wound the best she could. Her soft voice whispered a small incantation as a bright blue glow appeared beneath her hands. "Daer fallanien" She squinted at the light then looked at the wound once more. The area was partially bruised but it was no longer bleeding, the spell greater heal had done it's purpose as the light faded away.
She stood and walked toward him, still a bit peeved with his previous actions but feeling that here presence with him would be vital to his leaving the cove. "I can't just leave you here to die all alone. I can protect you, but you mustn't shoot at me again!" She wasn't yelling, in fact her voice was quite calm. Her eyes toward the end of her sentences looked shocked and surprised once more. "That really hurt you know?" She pouted, hoping that he understood that it was magic that healed her but the small pain that remained was quite a reminder of their previous incident.
If Alexander were here I wouldn't have to worry of this, these pirates have had no word of him in so long, he is most likely.... dead I fear. It is good that I was unbound from his heart, who knows what might have happened if I was not. Her thoughts wandered as she stepped over tall rocks and made her way unarmed deeper into the caves. Turning back she looked to him. "I will help you, only because these pirate's serve me no purpose any longer and I no longer fulfill their needs. I will not kill them though, that is no my way."

He nodded as she said that he owed her. "Very well then, I'm sure you'll think of something." He crept around the cove against the wall which provided the most shadow. As he turned the corner he noticed that she was healing herself from the scent of the white magic. He turned his head as she complained still about her pain, making him feel even worse and just a bit irate.
"I will assure you that now that I know I have an ally, I'll try and look before I shoot, just try and not suprise me. If it still hurts that bad, we'll go to the hot springs by Richmon Lake. I hear those waters are amazing for pain."
As she advanced ahead of him, he caught up to her and grabbed her wrist with one hand while placing a dagger in it with his other hand. "I will protect you, but you might end up having to protect yourself." He then looked at her face and thought she was very cute. He smirked and blushed a bit as he let go of her wrist and walked ahead of her, scouring the area for more victims.

She had been shocked by his grab, and looked away from his eyes, instead looking upon the dagger which he had placed within her hand. He is kind, perhaps I shouldn't be so hard upon him. The thought only lasted for a moment and she kicked herself for having it. Of course I should, he shot me! At least I know he has a semi good shot with his 'protection'. She watched him go ahead, as he left her behind, hoping that in the end of it all he would live up to his word of the visit to the hot springs.
Smiling she shook her head and raced up to meet him, slipping the dagger face down in her hand, gripping it again to get a better hold. She stood beside him and looked at him without saying a word and waited for him to look back at her before she went on. "There must be about 30 men within these caves, what do you plan to do? Take them all on at once?" She looked down the cave to ensure that no one was coming, her voice was low so that it might not catch anyone else's attentions. "And you tell me not to surprise you?" She teased him.
She pointed with her empty hand up ahead. "There is a room they use to store treasure not far from that bend, there will be at least 4 pirates within the room. Mostly likely 2 or the 4 will be drooling over the treasure with their backs turned toward the entrance. You'll need to get rid of them first in order to make your fight easier on yourself." She hoped that he would listen to her as she didn't wish this to be any more difficult than it already was going to be.
Bryonn Insevetyu - September 24, 2004 05:46 PM (GMT)
"30 men? Hmmm...we need to find the two that had stopped us at first, for if they get to the other's, we'll have a real problem on our hands." He withdrew his longbow and looked at her again. "If you can help me find them, I will take them out."
As he continued to look, he saw a large pool of water which would obviously hold their ship. The only problem was that there wsa no ship and not many pirates to be found--only guards and patrolmen. He snarled and his neck muscles tensed somewhat. "Damnit" He said under his breathe. His eyes closed to tiny slits out of anger and he notched an arrow on his longbow. "I guess we will be going to the springs a lot sooner than I thought..."
As he said that he saw a man out in the distance walked around by the edge of the pool. Bryonn snickered and aimed his bow at him. Within several seconds, he released the arrow. He saw the arrow sing through the air and into the man's body. the pirate grasped his throat and fell into the water. With his dagger, he put a notch on his bow, marking the kill down.

That was the trouble, there was no way of knowing exactly where they had went but she would do her best to find them for him. "It shouldn't be too hard as the man that you have already killed was one of those that had stopped you in the beginning. Now for the second.." She turned from him, her eyes scanning through the dark and across the empty waters. Is he to mark each one that he kills, he will surely slow us down if he does. Stealing a glance back she tried to think of the guards way through the caves.
Her eyes turned from Bryonn and saw the dimly lit way. "Of course!" A smile curled upon her lips and she darted toward the cave. Stopping to wave for him to follow her she hurried herself along, listening carefully for any sound of the guards ahead. Reaching another room up ahead, she stopped and held a hand back to motion Bryonn to stop. With a low, soft voice, she spoke. "The guards all come here, it is about that time that they have all been dispatched to various parts in these caves."
Ciara squatted in the cave, keeping herself to the shadows. She turned to Byronn, her eyes looking a bit excited. "The guard that you killed was part of his pair, he won't go on until he comes back!" Her voice was still a whisper, but putting these pieces together had her looking giddy. A long slender arm raised as a wrapped hand pointed toward the room. "The second guard is inside, all we have to do is get him before anyone else comes in or he leaves."
