Title: Dark Arts
Description: Lessons on the Dark Arts and related.

Darrius - September 21, 2004 04:33 AM (GMT)
Darrius strode into the large classroom. A misty fog hung in the air. Brilliant paintings hung on the stone walls. A raised platform was located int he front center of the room for demonstrations and duals. Tehy would use this alot. wooden pews ran in rows, the length of the room, with writing tables in front of them. Darrius walked over to his desck and dusted it off. How he got stuck with this classroom, who knows. The grey dirt clung to his black robes menecingly. He surveyed the room, noting all the details about it. He then decided to quickly prepare for todays lessons. He pulled out a textbook on defense. To practice black arts, one bust be able to defend against them. He arranged several items and such on the tables and counters. Darrius went and sat at his desk, finishing some projects as he awaited the arrival of the class.

Master Ace - September 21, 2004 06:10 PM (GMT)
Ace figured that is was little surprise for a teacher of dark arts to have his class a night. Stars were in the sky, but hidden by large omenous clouds. Ace walked slowly into the classroom. His long jet back hair was in a mess as usual. Draco quickly entered in his humaniod form and made his way to a desk at the front of the class. Draco calmly twiddled his thumbs as he waited for the class to begin. Bruno had little intrest in the dark arts and did not come to ths class. Ace studied the robed figure at the front of the class. It was a new magister he had yet to meet. Guessing by his dirty robes he was a traveller or prehaps an explorer of some sort. "I'm supposing you are Darrius, Correct?" Ace said as he walked towards the elf.

Darrius - September 21, 2004 09:20 PM (GMT)
Darrius watched the students enter and find seats. He was anxious to begin his first lessons. Master Ace entered the classroom and looked him over. "Ah, Master Ace, how nice to see you." Daarrius rose from his desk and walked over to the Magister. "What can I do for you?" Darrius turned and eyed some of the students seriously. He tried to put on his most intimidating appearence, that is what students excpected in the Dark Arts. "Children. Find your seats, quickly!" Darrius returned his attention once again to Master Ace.

Zin - September 25, 2004 07:18 AM (GMT)
There was a grin in the half-elf's face as she entered the classroom, looking about calmly, and dropping into a desk. She hadn't been keeping up on her studies for some time, and had decided to get some actual classtime. She'd chosen dark magic, seeing as she preferred it to light, what with all the talk of angels, and gods of love and purity and all that jazz.

Besides, in her opinion, dark was better. She nodded to the teacher, and to Ace.

Darrius - September 25, 2004 06:14 PM (GMT)
Darrius didn't wait for Master Ace's reply. He strode to the front of the room, and onto the platform. "Dark Arts is a hard course to study and master. We will not immediately learn the offensive skills until we can protect ourselves well. The most common form of a dark art attack is a negative bolt of magic. It can be easily protected from. That is, if you are quick enough." Darrius paused and met the gaze of several students. He gave a small grin and contiued. "The opposite of negative is posotive, the opposite of dark is light. You must simply create a magic shield of light and life. Some dark art practicers dislike using anything that has to do with light, but in my opinion, if it saves your life it saves you life." Darrius walked over to the center of the stage and rolled up his sleeves. HE muttered a few words and a brilliant light in a square shaped shield sprang in front of his hands. "Concentrate on life and peace. Put forth your magic and that is all it takes." The shield disappeared, leaving the room darker and dimmer. "Everone take a moment and practice your shields."

Master Ace - September 25, 2004 08:12 PM (GMT)
Draco rolled his eyes. "Sheild isning even positive energy, that would be sheild of faith. We already went over this in Ac'e class. When are we going to get to the spells of darkness," Draco thought to himself. Draco stood up his cold eyes staring at Darrius. Draco mummured a few arcane words and held out his hand. A solid blue sheild appeared floating before him. The sheild seemed crystilline in form and circular. Draco waited for Darrius to move to next part of the lesson.

Master Ace sat down seeing that Darrius was read to start the class. He was pleased to see him start out with defensive spells. Master Ace was pleased to see Zin in the class. Master Ace disliked the fact that Darrius was going over a spell that Ace had covered with everyone, but as they sya practice makes perfect. Master ace casted the spell and a transparent sheild appeared in front of his desk. The sheild seemed to give off a greenish light.

Zin - September 26, 2004 12:46 AM (GMT)
Zin raised an eyebrow, then simply shrugged. She'd just mastered the feat of silent and still spellcasting, and had been waiting for a chance to try to practice it a bit more. She closed her eyes for a moment, trying to remember the spell, though as far as she could tell she didn't need to do so.

A lavender shield formed before her, as she opened her eyes again, and she grinned. She held the shield in place, not allowing it to disapate, just for the sake of practice.
