Title: A meal and I shall steal
Lamya - September 11, 2004 04:18 PM (GMT)
The cloaked figure walked into the cheerful room. Even though it was nighttime, there were several performers and people dancing about the room. Since it was a chilly night, the fireplace had a big, warm fire in it. Almost everything was blue. It was Lasmya's favorite color so it made her happy. She sat at a booth in a corner and took off her cloak. Soon a barmaid came over and asked for her order. "I will take mashed potatoes and a cornish hen. To drink, I will have your best red wine." The barmaid wrote down her order and smiled brightly at her. "Is that all ma'am?" Lamya cast her cold blue eyes upon the woman and glared at her. The barmaid took the signal and walked off. Lamya settled herself into the booth and surveyed the people in the room. After she had a warm dinner, she would rent a room upstairs so she could continue her plan. She had heard from a number of underground thieves that a very rich lady was staying at the Inn. Lamya planned to hunt down the woman's room and steal her blind. Ahh life is good.
Daisuki - September 11, 2004 04:29 PM (GMT)
Daisuki came into the room merrily, a broad smile on his face. His cloak was thrown carelessly over his right shoulder, draped so it almsot touched the ground. He looked over the patrons of the area quickly, then sat at a booth. He was quite small; even though he was a teenager, he looked much younger. He waved over a passing waitress. "I want some... lessee... just give me mashed potatoes and some noodles." He handed her a small purse to pay for the meal.
She smiled and nodded, the purse snapped to her belt. "Do you want anything to drink, young sir?"
He shook his head and she walked off to the kitchens to get the order. He grinned and pulled out the pouch he had given her from his cloak. Why pay when you could just take the money back?
Lamya - September 11, 2004 04:39 PM (GMT)
The barmaid quickly brought out her food. "Took to long.I should cut your flesh from your body and eat that. But yet I have not the energy as of now. Here is your gold." She tossed her three gold pieces. The woman stared at the ground as she began to walk off. Lamya tossed her throwing dagger into the woman's boot and the woman fell to the ground, the plates she was carrying clattered to the floor. "You should watch where your going." Lamya got up and offered the woman her hand. The barmaid stared at it for a few seconds then smiled as she took it. "I knew you weren't evil ma'am." The woman collected her plates and walked away grinning over her shoulder the whole time. -Foolish woman.- Lamya shook herself to rid her brain of the woman's smile. She reached down and pocketed the gold that had fallen, unseen, to the ground. She counted ten gold coins. "Not too bad." She grinned and walked back to her table, pocketing the gold and her dagger on the way. She sat down and began to eat her food. The potoates melted in her mouth and her stomach growled at the aroma of cornish hen. She finished up her meal, eating every bite, and leaned back to sip her wine. It was not bitter enough for her taste, but it would do.
Daisuki - September 11, 2004 04:53 PM (GMT)
Daisuki raised an eyebrow. He had seen the woman trip the barmaid, and then pick up the gold. "Heh... nice moves." He nodded to the waitress who brought him his food, and took a bite of the potatoes. They were pretty good, but he didn't touch the chicken. It would help him tonight...
His thoughts were interupted by a lady coming downstairs from the rooms. She wore a long dress, witha fur scarf. Everything about her seemed to scream 'RICH!' She had golden necklaces and bracelets, rings with rubies and diamonds, a fat purse she clutched tightly. Daisuki grinned and watched her. His target had finally revealed herself. She went up to the bartender and talked in a loud tone. "I left my room locked, and gaurded too. I don;t want a single person getting in there. If they do... I will make sure you are fired." She turned and walked out, nose in the air. Daisuki noticed two men in dark cloaks following her in the shadows. Bodygaurds.
He smiled and went up to the shaking bartender. "hey, I need a room for the night."
He looked at the small boy, suspicious and nervous. But what harm could such a small child do? "Ten gold and you got a nice one, boy."
Daisuki winced at the term 'boy.' "Sure." he handed over the money and walked off with the tender's wallet, which had at least thirty gold in it. Ah, the life of a thief... he grabbed his plate with the chicken on it and walked upstairs, a small smile on his face. Tiem to go to work.
Lamya - September 11, 2004 05:13 PM (GMT)
Lady luck shinned her light upon Lamya. The Senorita Shevel walked into the eatery just as Lamya finished her wine. The woman was adorned with all sorts of rich clothing and gold jewelry. The elf's mouth began to water at the sight of the shinny metal. Lamya wanted to tackle the woman and kill her then and there but she had better self control than that. Besides she knew there would be more gold in her room. Lamya listened carefully at Shevel's instrustions to the bartender. She took in every detail about the woman including her two bodyguards. Finally Lamya would have the chance to steal big money. Excitement coursed through her veins. She put on her most seductive smile and walked up to the bartender, cloak in hand. "Sir I would just adore it if you would be kind enough to rent me a room for the night." Lamya used a fake accent she had heard a dancer speak in before. The man looked her up and down and smiled.
"For you ma'am I will give you a room for eight gold." Lamya put on her best sad face and acted like she was counting her gold. "Oh well I only have five gold. It seems I spent all my money on my new silky underclothing." The man licked his lips and said, "Well how about this honey. You model that new clothing for me and I'll give you the room free." Lamya smiled. It had worked. "Oh I would just love that! Why don't you come up to my room in about thirty minutes and I will give you that little show." The man handed her a key. "It is room number 15. Enjoy your stay." The man watched Lamya walk away with eyes that drank in every movement. "What a sweet little thing." Lamya turned around and glared at the man when he had adverted his eyes. "Oh I will give him a show all right. A show that will make him scream for mercy." Lamya cackled all the way up to her room.
Daisuki - September 11, 2004 07:28 PM (GMT)
Daisuki sat back in his room. He sighed and got up, setting the chicken down. Well, he had work to do tonight. And the first thing would be... breaking into a room besides the ladies. All the locks here worked the same. It was a shame he didn;t have a lockpick yet, but his dagger would do. He left his room and went to the next one down, taking out his small dagger ans sticking it in the losk. he jiggled the blade back and forth quickly, anf the door popped open. He looked at the room number before going in. Room 15.
He smiled as he came into the room. Well, the lock on that rich ladies room would be harder, probably... and hadn;t she said something about a gaurd? But the haul would be worth it. he shrugged and laid down on the neatly made bed. He didn't think anyone had this room yet, as he had seen the key still hung up at the bar. He closed his eyes, other senses alert. He had to wait before the next part of his plan, and this room was as good as his own.
Lamya - September 26, 2004 07:00 PM (GMT)
Lamya got out her key as she reached her door. She was about to put it in when she noticed the door wasn't locked. "What the..." She pushed the door open and saw a young man bed. "I don't think I asked for room service. And I know I didn't ask for that kind of service." She surveyed him on her bed. "Now if you don't mind, I'd like to have my room back before I slice your throat open." She walked up to him and pulled out her dagger to let him know she wasn't kidding.
(Soooo sorrry I'm soooo late. )
Daisuki - September 26, 2004 08:04 PM (GMT)
((S'ok. This shall be interesting... :D ))
Daisuki opened one eye slowly and saw a woman standing over the bed with a dagger. "Oh, touchy, are we?" He brought his feet up, catching her hand between them. "But now now, it's not nice to threaten people." He twisted her wrist with his feet, causing her to drop the dagger to the floor. In a flash he had rolled across the room, standing by the door with her own dagger held out. "It's not like I took anything. You must of just bought the room. I was just getting a feel for the lock though..." He threw the dagger, and it stuck quivering in the wall next to her head.
Daisuki then sat down on a chair by the door, red eyes watching her. He seemed to have no weapon, but his cloak covered much of his frame, so it was hard to tell. "Hey, you're the lady that stole from the poor barmaid. Another thief?" He rocked back and forth in the chair like a small child, a smile on his face. "You must be after old Senorita Shevel too, eh?" His red eyes looked her up and down. "You don't look like a thief lady. why oh why would you ever get in such a dark business?"
Lamya - September 28, 2004 10:12 PM (GMT)
Lamya glared at him while she took her dagger out of the wall. "That is none of your buisness. Now please get out of my room and don't come back." She walked to her bed and sat down. Then she unlaced her boots and rubbed her sore feet. "Darn boots...", she muttered. She looked up and saw that the kid was still there. "Listen kid, I don't know what you're into but I'm not gonna be a part of it. Now leave me be." She was slightly astonished at his quick reflexes and movements but she didn't allow that to show on her face. It surely wouldn't be a good idea to share her plans with a complete stranger. He might be working for the Senorita. Surely he wasn't there also to take from Shevel. That would be too much of a coincidence. And Lamya didn't believe in coincidences.
Daisuki - September 30, 2004 02:05 AM (GMT)
Daisuki smiled. "Sure you aren't. Just make sure you don't appear in her room after midnight. The gaurds should be there by then." He twirled and walked out of her room, waving backwards. "Name's Daisuki. See ya around." Daisuki shut the door behind him and saw the man who had been behind the bar earlier walking upstairs. Which meant that the storgae room would be empty. Excellent. He dashed down and broke in quickly, taking a folded up uniform and a few blankets, then hurried back up to hsi room. Time to start getting ready.
He locked the door and changed into the uniform. Hje now looked like a young, male waiter. He poured water over his head to slick the hair down and back, then picked up the chicken on a plate. He walked out of his room and went towards the hallwya toward's Shevels room.
Lamya - October 1, 2004 09:39 PM (GMT)
Lamya waited a few minutes until Daisuki left and then she walked out of the room, glancing down the hallway to make sure he wasn't lingering about. Then she made her way into the empty suply closet where she knew they kept blankets and extra towels. She piled them up high to cover her face and started walking towards the Senorita's room.
Daisuki - October 7, 2004 08:34 PM (GMT)
Daisuki heard someone behind him in thehall and forced himself not to look. He instead fetched a small bottle out of his pocket. It was possible someone could recognize him from various Wanted poster, and he didnt want that to happen. Masking the motion with his hat, he poured the bottle onto his hair. It all turned black. the boy grinned; he was hardly identifiable now. He continued down the hall to Senorita's room. There he stopped and bent down, checking his boot. It was all in order, so he stood back up and knocked on the door. "Room service!" The sound of various locks being undone came from inside, and Daisuki waited without moving for the door to open.
Lamya - October 10, 2004 10:49 PM (GMT)
"Stupid blankets!" Lamya whispered. She couldn't see over them nor around them so she was walking blindly along the corridor. She felt something slid under her foot a bit to late. The blankets and towels went flying everywhere. She hit the ground with a hard thud and tasted blood. "Ohh owww" She rolled over and wiped her mouth that was bleeding. She looked around to see what had tripped her and was angry to find out it was a child's toy. Seething, she got up and tried gather the towels and blankets together. She knew it was too late to go into the room unnoticed. She would just have to go to plan b.
