Title: Reflections

Kyonis - September 11, 2004 05:54 AM (GMT)
Kyonis sat with his hand wrapped around a mug of ale, his other absent-mindedly palming a coin, which he planned to use as a tip for the bartender. Kyonis had visited the waterfall and the lake earlier in the day, and had spent the afternoon browsing the works of different artisans. Kyonis had no gold to buy anything with, but he had enjoyed seeing the artisans working their craft.

Now, Kyonis was exhausted. He had not eaten a thing all day, and his stomach rumbled furiously. However, Kyonis didn't have enough money to buy the expensive fare of The Broken Strings; he would just have to wait until he could find more cost-effective sustenance.

Kyonis was struggling in this new life of his. When he had escaped from the Monkhood, he had thuroughly planned his escape, and his intentions of tracking down and killing the men who had murdered his parents. However, Kyonis had not accounted for the many years it would take to do so. Now, Kyonis found himself stuck. He had escaped from the monkhood, but was now finding it very difficult to stay alive long enough to exact his revenge. Kyonis was forced to earn his living by doing insignificant odd jobs for merchants willing to pay a low price for a quick job. While it was not the glorious life Kyonis had planned, it was indeed suiting him for the moment. Soon, however, he would need to devise a better way to make a living.

Aeri - September 20, 2004 05:34 AM (GMT)
Aeri entered the tavern, too having enjoyed wandering through the market. She also had caught up with some bardic friends with which she had played with for a time, learning new songs and teaching ones she knew or composed with the others.

She must have been a strange sight she knew, with a storm dragon hatchling across her shoulders, Nymbus's long tail wrapped around her shoulder to stay in place. Cyrrus, the shyer of the two was tucked in Aeri's shoulder bag along with her flute and harp, a tight squeeze for the rapidly growing hatchling. Strangely enough, no one seemed overly surprised by Aeri's draconic companions and many even greeted her with smiles.

When she entered, she walked directly to the bar ((I'm guessing thats where your character is sitting?)) next to the man, calling to the bartender by name.

"Nolik, can some stew for me and the twins? Its been a long day and we're all famished," she said good-naturedly, sitting without much grace in the seat one away from Kyonis. On the seat between them, she placed her hip bag with Cyrrus still in it.

Finally, she seemed to notice the man and smiled. "I'm sorry. I hope I am not intruding? Its been a long day," she chuckled a little. "My name is Aeri Azrael."
