Title: Magister of the Water Arts
Description: Come if you wish to weild water to....
Meru - August 23, 2004 04:51 PM (GMT)
Come if you wish to utalize the waves to it's fullest potential.
A very large room is filled with gallons of water in a tank. The roof has been completey taken off, and there are small side rooms that are locked. These rooms have small windows, so that when you cast a spell from inside them, you can see what you have just done.
Meru stands on the top of the water, waiting for new students to arrive. On the front door, there is a sign that reads
"Have you ever wanted to make a tidal wave from a drop of water? Or maybe you have wanted to make a whirlpool....or even summoned a water elemental. Look no Further, come to Meru's class of the Water Arts"
Master Ace - August 23, 2004 06:44 PM (GMT)
Ace walked slowly to the door. His messy green hair flowed behind him as he walked to the class room. He wore the cloak of spiderkind that he had gotten from Alorous. Ace stoped as he saw the sign on the door. he slowly read it. "I think she got a little carried away with the first one," Ace thought as he opened the door. He closed the door with his emerald scaled tail. He looked at the large tanks of water and then lifted his head and noticed Meru.
He wished he hadn't procrastonated redoing the Magister's Lounge, but it would be best to find out more about the magisters first. he didn't have much of a clue about who Meru was. Being a new magister here, he doubted Meru would even know of his job here and how he was in charge of alot of things at the Academy.
"Your name is Meru if I am not mistaken, Correct?," Master Ace asked as he looked her over with his emerald eyes.
Meru - August 23, 2004 08:34 PM (GMT)
Meru lots her concentration and fell straight into the water that she was earlier standing on. Swimming up, she begins to speak, while still treading water. "Yes...that would be me." The girl swims over to the side, and lifted herself out of the tank. She quickly dried off, and walked over to the man. Lending out a hand, the young girl flicked her hair out of her face with the other one. "I'm Meru, it's a pleasure to meet you.....", she waited for a name so she could finish her sentence.
Master Ace - August 23, 2004 11:23 PM (GMT)
Ace resisted laughing as she plumeted into the water. She was doing pretty weel at her trick until Ace distracted her with his question. "A cuious talent," Ace thought to himeslf as hewondered what spells would allow one to walk and stand on water. While meru hastily dried herself off he studily the roofles room quickly. When Meru lent out her hand it quickly met by Master Ace's. "Master Ace," he finshed her sentence. "It is likewise a pleasure for me to meet you." Ace wondered if he should wait till the end of class or tell her about himself now. "I'll let her know I'm her superior after class," Ace thought to himeslf as he came to a conclusion. Despite his thoughts of secrecy Ace almost automatically asked, "So what's on the Lesson plan?"
Meru - August 23, 2004 11:40 PM (GMT)
"I generally don't give out the schedule to students." She looked at the man who semmed to know alot about magic. "Let me guess, you are the head around here? Normally a student would not ask with those words...." The young elven girl searched the man, and met his eyes. "Sorry for thinking you were here as a pupil. Class should be starting soon....We are going to learn a simple wave of water, and work our way all the way up to a tsunami wave today."
Master Ace - August 24, 2004 12:02 AM (GMT)
He flicked his tail behind him impatiently as he listened to her words. "So much for keeping a low profile, but surely some student would have the nerve to ask what the class was going to be about..." Master ace thought to himself before his attention turned back to Meru. "No need for your apologies, I'm sure you'll have a big class," Ace lied. He knew that there had been a shortage of students at the academy for quite some time now. It was one of the matters he was also woring to fix.
Meru - August 24, 2004 02:25 AM (GMT)
*With those words....apparently you don't read too well...need glasses?*
"Thank you. I hope to have a grand class." Meru smiled at the man who had been lieing to her without her even noticing. "Well if you would be so kind as to ignore my ramblings, but I must be getting back to the tank. Afterall, the students need to see a teacher who is well-prepared for class, wrather than one flirting with another teacher." Meru turned around and walked back to the tank, waiting for the kind man on the outside to leave.
Master Ace - August 24, 2004 11:24 PM (GMT)
(I'm kind of lost as to what you mean)
"Flirting?" Master Ace asked as he looked at her with a curious gaze. He he quickly shook the gaze from is face and looked around for a desk to sit in. He had no intention of missing her teach, even if there were no students to teach. (If you don't have desks in the room I'll edit it) "I don't think I've ever 'flirted' with a teacher, but I see your point," Ace said as he made his way to a desk at e back of he classroom. he sat down and waited for some students to show up.
Meru - August 24, 2004 11:35 PM (GMT)
*but surely some student would have the nerve to ask what the class was going to be about.- that is what you said. What I was talking about was "In those words" They wouldn't say what's on the lesson plan. They'd say...what are we learning today or something*
"How silly of me", she says while blushing. "I meant that I was flirting with you. But if you were doing the same then I guess it's all just good fun." Walking over the water, she noticed that the man was sitting down. She stepped back onto the side of the pool. "You arn't really going to watch my boring class are you? I don't think anyone will be here....." Meru scoped the area and noticed that class was suppose to start hours ago. "Oh My, I guess no one wants to learn"
*And get easy gold...*
Master Ace - August 27, 2004 07:28 PM (GMT)
(Well, as far as Ace was thinking some student might ask for a leson plan.)
"Ah! Its does seem as though no one will show up. Very welll, I'll be your student. So where do we start?" Master Ace smiled from his seat. Master Ace was curious about how well she wouuld teach. It was always nice to get a spell from outside his study.
Meru - August 28, 2004 05:18 PM (GMT)
"Thank you, that is very kind. We shall start with a simple sprout of water. If you have ever seen water dripping from a statue fountain...than you should know about this." Meru closes her eyes, walking back atop the water, and begins to concentrate. "Waters of the oceans rain true, and splash the enemy...watersprout" From the tone in Meru's voice, the water barely jumped out of the pool, and landed within a few centimeters. "First, you will concentrate, vision what you want to happen in your head. While still keeping that picture, chant an incantation of your choice. If the gods do not accept the chant...and grant you the gift that you ask of, try again. If you want a more powerful spell, but more emphasis on your words, and make a tone that sounds more harsh, and loud." Meru awaited her new student to practice one time.
Master Ace - September 19, 2004 09:42 PM (GMT)
"Exuse me if this takes longer than it should," Ace said to Meru before he turned his concentration to the spell. Ace concentrated on an incantation. He muttered the words over and over. His hairl, eyes, and scales slowly changed form green to blue as his face seemed locked in concetration. After about a full minute Ace's features were of a recognizable blue. A small foutain was created in the pool as water slolwy rose in a small colum and the fell of the sides. Ace stoped the spell and turned to Meru. "Was that okay?"
