Sera floats overtop a large rock, looking at a girl who happened to be sitting on the same chain of rocks. "What are you doing here little girl?", she says with a ball of lightning in her hand.

The dark eyes of Kyane shifted to the girl who suddenly appeared. Her words to her were blunt, and her gestures were threatening, but it hadn't bothered Kyane in any way. She began to speak.

I'm here enjoying the view. Now, if you could, I really don't want any violence now...

"Oh don't worry. I wasn't planning on throwing this at you. It's a thought, but not one that was in my head. I just enjoy tossing a ball of lightning up and down in my hands. Besides, if I get attacked by bounty hunters....then it's much easier then summoning a ball right off hand." Sera looked at the girl, she appeared to look like a human, but Sera had no idea what she was.

Kyane got up, and lifted a hand to move her hair from over her ears, and from out of the cover of her black hair, came pointed elven ears. Her black tail was conceded inside her cloak, and wouldn't be noticed if she wore the cloak... A small flicker of electricity went across her eyes, and she folded her arms as she looked upon the girl.

Well, guess my reputation has actually been recognized... Got to say, I'm sort of impressed... So, what do you want with me? Or is it coincedence that you stumbled upon these rocks?

"A bit snippy arn't we elf demon. The world of darkness is no room for cute little elves", she said very sarcastically. "Besides...what is it to you why I am on these rocks. I came to enjoy the veiw such as you. It is not all the time that demons can enjoy nature." Sera looked around and noticed no one but the two. "Well...I guess it is weird why we are the only ones here."

I am not of your world, and I am certainly not a demon, like you so are. Anyways, as I can see were going to be spending alittle time with each other, unfortuanitly, we should atleast know each others names. My names Kyane, which I'm sure you already know.

looking back towards the forested mountains, and the chilling, clear waterfall, she found herself at peace once again, even with the presence of this demon...

"It's....a pleasure to meet you Kyane. My name is Sera." Sera closed her hand, and the electric ball dissapeared. "So...I gotta get going now...demons have alot to do ya know?" Sera flew up into the sky, and left the girl all alone. But a very large pirate ship was sailing up to the rocks....

sure thing, Sera...

Kyane said to herself quietly as Sera flew off... Noticing the pirate ship had gotten closer, she just eyed it and watched it come ashore... Is this part of an ocean or a linked Lake? Kyane thought to herself, amazed to see a ship approaching

"No no no, port side, port side. That's the left side silly. Stop turning right." A young girl in her early teens tried to take command over a crew of men. "That's starboard..stop stop stop." The ship suddenly crashed into the rocks, gently nudging the sides of the boat. The sturdiness was amazing...it had no scratches on it at all. "Great...now what are we going to do? I guess we just walk the rocks." The young girl with a white bandanna on her head threw over a ladder. Long, shoulder length blonde hair flew over the side of the boat. A girl in boots, a green skirt, and a green vest climbed down the roped ladder.

Damn... This day is just getting stranger and stranger by the minute...

Walking over towards the boat, she watches the ladder come down the side of the ship, and the girl climbing down with it as well. She looked very young, and Kyane was somewhat amazed that a girl that age was on a ship like that! Hesitating for only a moment, she walked over to the girl.

Hi there. Need any help? It looked from up there that you hit those rocks pretty hard...

And then she noticed... The ship wasn't damaged?!?!?!

"Protective spell.", she says with a smile. "Hi I am Terra. And uhh...nopes. I don't need any help. Thank you", she says shaking her hand. "All right! Bring the load!" Terra didn't even think about the fact that she was nearly screaming in Sagashi's ears. "The only thing we need is the chest!" The huge men carrying a chest tryed to walk down the ladder, but the chest fell over. "OH NO!" Terra ran over, and saw the chest fall into the water. She grabbed the side, and tried to pull it out.

Without even thinking, Kyane runs over to stand next to the girl, and also grabs the chest, and helps to pull it up. The chest was heavy, but not heavy enough that it wasn't possible for the two girls to bring it back up to land.

My names Kyane!
She said with strain, trying to pull it back onto shore. Her arms were tensed, and the muscles of her entire body were bulging as she pulled and pulled.

"Thanks again Kyane." Terra looked at the men who were still standing on the ship. "What are ya' guys waiten for? We gotta hurry and get this booty to those damn pirates." Terra then thought to herself, "Or I won't have enough money to find my sister." "Hey Kyane. If you want, you can help us. We're going to get sell these items to these pirates. We're not exactly pirates mate...despite da ship. Mor'a....gang of thieving traders ya can say."

Terra smiled and looked up at Kyane. "A'course. I was an amazon princess at one time or another. But someone ressurected meh..and uhh...Isa came a pirate thief with no memory. Then I was reminded of dat day I was killed. What a bugger too.", she says with a laugh. Terra helps the men bring down the other chests. There wasn't just one of those heavy chests, but actually more like three. "So...I don't think meh asked. What brings ya to these parts?"

Well, I've been here for quite awhile... This place is one of my favorite places to come. Its so relaxing to just sit and stare at the bueaty of nature... Anyways, I'd be more then happy to help you find your sister.... By the way, which pirates are ye talking about?

With her left arm, she puts her arm behind her hair, and pulls it out of the cloak. Falling almost to her knees was long, straight, and thick dark auburn hair. She had long bangs, and with her right hand, she moved them behind her ears.

"The pirates in da cave silly lass." Terra pointed to a man sticking his head out of the cave. It seemed that he had been watching Kyane this whole time. "Those pirates. I owe 'em some valuables, they owe meh some cash." Chirps of seagulls called over Terra's voice, making it hard to hear her. "HEY BOYS! Hurry 'em up!" Terra was getting ready to walk. She motioned for the girl to come along with her hands. "C'mon tis time to go. We hafta get these in by sunset or the deal is off. Dontcha ask. This pirate is a weird one, he is."

I guess so.
Following her without question, she walks next to her. It was weird, for the fact that Kyane's footsteps made no noise as she stepped from rock to rock. Her hair blew in the wind, and her body seemed to light up as the cool breeze rushed down the rocks. The taste of the damp waters filled the air, making it smell sweet, clean, and refreshing.
Don't you just love this kind of weather?

"A'course I do. I live for it", she says with a laugh. The company finally came upon the edge of the cave. The pirate smiled and waved to them. He had gold fillings all in his teeth...well....over the few teeth he still had in his mouth. "Ahoy there lassies." The man's voice was just enough to make you cringe. As they all walked further into the cavern, many pirates could be seen. In fact, a whole bunch of them. Wooden planks all stuck together covered the ground of the cave in the front. It seemed that they were built over the water, and were sturdy enough to hold over 5k lbs. Small sacks were spread across the top of the caves, with ladders connected to the walls right under them. This seemed to be an ideal place of sleep. As they all entered, the pirates pulled on a large wooden rope, and a caged bar slid across the edge of the opening. "Pirates need protection too.", said the man that appeared to be the leader. He wore a red jacket, with a blue under shirt. His pants were black; just as dark as his hair, beard, and mustache. He held a fairly large rapier that resembled the Moonsea Cutlass, but was blue.

He stood on the actual firm ground of the cave, along with a couple men of his crew. If you looked hard enough, you could see that the cave went on for good miles on end. You could even see small glimpses of gold. A few men were drinking some ale at tables right behind the captain. They seemed to be pointing at Terra and talking. Terra was not very fond of scary looking pirates. She was more of a carefree type of girl. "We braught ya booty, now give us the gold." Terra's tone was very hard to make out. Whether she sounded mad or happy was between herself and....no one else. The pirate laughed from the distance. "That is not the only thing we need. We need a few women in the crew. Maybe one...or two could work too." Terra was not liking the outcome. They were outnumbered 10-a good 60. Terra's crew could put up a fight, but not up against so many pirates. "Kyane...I'm sorry for bringin' ya into dis mess. Somehow we'll get out. When I tell ya to, take some a' da crew, and pull on dose ropes..." Some of the pirates had already readied their weapons. While some of them, still drank their ale.

A steady hand was on the hilt of her long katana, and her eyes were burning for a fight. But, she would what Terra had told her to do.
Its alright... Not like I have anything better to do with my days...
Moving her shoulders, she shifted her black leather cloak to a better fit, and stood in what almost looked like a combat stance. If anything were to go down at that instance, she would almostt blindly take out anyone who dared tried to reach for Terra or any of the crew. Her eyes were intense, yet focused on everything in the cave, from the dripping water, to every splinter in the wooded floor, and who was taking a drink, and who was reaching for a weapon...

Terra smiled on the inside, but for some reason or another, her lips would not move. She kept a steady glance at the leader, waiting for him to command his armies to attack. The captain did nothing of the sort. He raised his finger, and held it high up in the air for a very long time. Maybe it was just Terra who was getting tired of waiting, and he only had it up for a few minutes. None the less, when he threw his finger down toward the cave bottom, pirates began to run at Terra...being that she was infront of the others. The young maiden whipped out her tiny dagger, and began to pelt the sharp blade into random enemies. Ducking, and jumping over the other's weapons, she begins to get herself caught in the fight. Terra quickly dodged several blows toward her head, torso, and legs. All those years of training as an amazon in her other life seemed to be paying off greatly. Ever spare second she had, she would reach over and steal a packet of gold from a pirate.

Terra's crew quickly rushed into the battle. Each of them had atleast one sword. A couple of them even had a bow, or maybe they had two swords. Terra's best crewmember had an arsenal of two swords, two daggers, and a bow. He wasn't skilled with all three to the best of his ability, but he was good enough to kill twenty men before taking any blows in a major battle. "Everyone, we must group togetha." Terra remembered what she had told Kyane, but with a straight out attack like this, there would be no time to grab the ropes. Each of them had to take out atleast five each in order to make the odds even for another round of the battle.

The pirate captain stood in the distance. He seemed to be saving himself for last. His strategy, to get the others worn out so that he would have an advantage. More pirates began to move up, and arm themselves. Heading straight for Terra, as they do. The two pirates still drinking their ale watched their captain as he kept backing up. "Don't just sit ther ya fools. Get up an' fight!" The captain pulled on the edge of their shirts, and threw them forward, knocking down a good portion of the pirates waiting for their turn. "Aye sir!", they said while retreiving their weapons.

She was already awaiting this moment. Kyane knew instinctively that she had no time or even a chance to pulls those ropes, and she was only left with one option... To fight. With amazing speed, she pulled forth her long Katana, and went straight into the fray of the battle. Dodging and ducking, thrusting and slicing, she wasn't aiming the fatal areas, instead... She was destroying them from below, cutting there legs wide open, or even cutting off their entire leg..

Low to the ground, she was straight in the middle of the fight, and surrounded by blood hungry pirates on all sides. They came rushing at her all at once, and that was their final mistake. Makezuna!!! The air below her feet began to come to life, and the wind around her became just like razor blades. Kyane began to spin, and using her sword, she spun in a tight circle, and a small dagger appeared in her other hand, and spinning wildly around, she was cutting pirates all around her. In the final of her special technique, she leaped into the air, and came straight back down in a spinning motion, cutting up many more pirates that she came down upon... he landed in a crouch, and with her left hand holding the dagger, she through it straight into the chest of another Pirate.

Terra began to roll on the ground, trying everything she could to block the pirates. She seemed to be tiring out, and the pirates just kept coming. "Cut da ropes Kyane!" Most of the pirates heard Terra and began to run after her. The young girl jumped up onto some of their heads, and began to glide through the air. Terra looked around at Kyane's awesome attack, and began to get distracted. One of the pirates that just got up from the table threw a dagger that got stuck right in her arm. "Jesus. Dat hurt..." Terra left the dagger in her shoulder blade for the moment and ran after the ropes. She noticed that they were very thick. As she jumped and hacked away at the ropes, she turned around to see that one of her crewmembers had been killed. "Nooo!"

A harp pain went not only through Terra's arm, but now her heart. The man that died happened to be the one that she relied on most. The one with all the weapons and strength. She did not really want to fight anymore, but she had to take her revenge. "Kyane, da ropes are almost cut, hurry up and cut em" Terra slapped an expression of great anger on her face and turned towards the leader. While screaming at her lungs, she ran toward him with no pirates in her way to stop her.

Alright!
Lunging forward, many more pirates got in her way. She dodged a few blows, and killed about 6 more pirates. She made herself a clear path towards the ropes, until a large man got in her way. She didn't have the time of day to react as his large fist came out of nowhere, and sent her sprawling right into the cave walls. Her katana cut one mans face right open, as the sharped end caught him right in the temple...

She slid down the rocks, and hit the ground with a hard THUD! She gasped for air, and tried to stand, but the big man grabbed her by the shoulders, and with a disgusting smile of rotten teeth, he tried to kiss her. Without even a split second of thinking, with her last gasp of air from her lungs, she screamed, and turned the sword upwards, sending the slender long blade right up through her jaw, and straight out of the top of his head... The big man let her go, and she landed on her, and then rolled out of the way he was falling, pulling forth her sword. Where she was know sitting up on her knees, was the rope... Bringing her blade above her head, she used all her force, bring the blade straight down on the already worn rope, and cut it straight through...

With the ropes cut, the gate slammed right down, making a huge tidal wave. In order for that to happen, the ropes had to pass to the top of the cave, and landed down on the gate, with nothing to hold it. Some of Terra's crew ran for the ship so that they could bring it up for the others. But some of her crew decided they should go get Terra. "No, lemme go. That bastard deserves what he's gonna get!!" Terra's crew continued to pull on her arms, trying to drag her back. But she somehow managed to keep them in the same spot as she tugged forward. The captain of the pirates began to laugh and snicker at the girl and her own pirate men. "There is nuttin to laugh at you slob! If ya were over here, this fist'd be up your ass." Terra was beginning to get angry fast. She then noticed that all of the captain's crew except for about five men were taken out, one way or another. Not to mention, she noticed that the gate was finally knocked down.

Terra's ship finally landed right next to the cave. "No, weh must finish this. Besides....I'll be want'n dat Cutlass!", she says with a smile. She had three of her members stay with her. With them, Kyane, and herself...Terra was sure they'd win. "Les get dis party started" Terra swung her dagger toward the pirate, who withdrew his sword and met her dagger.

It took her a few moments to gather up her energy, and regain the air she needed in her body. Using her hands, she slowly pushed herself back to her feet. The black cloak was torn in many places, and her faces was covered in the splattered blood of many of the dead Pirates... Bringing her katana down to her right side, she got into a horse stance, and grabbed part of the hilt with her left hand. In a flash, she dashed towards the Pirate Leader, and with swift speeds, she brought the katana up into an upward strick.

The pirate left his grip against Terra, and flipped over her head. He seemed to hold his blade close enough to Terra that he could of cut her head off. Instead, Terra rolled to the side, seeing that Kyane's blade almost ran into her. The girl turned around and noticed the captain was ready to make another blow. Terra flipped her legs around, catching the blade between her shoes. She tried to kick the sword offbalance, but instead it stood there, right in the middle of her legs. Terra was petrified that soon, if nothing happened, her leg would be severed.

Kyane stopped the blade in mid rise. She was amazed at how fast that man just got over like he did. He was huge, and weighed well over 200lbs. Spinning around, she noticed that Terra was hanging from his sword, and knew instantly that she'd have to do something or Terra might end up dead. Leaping into the air, Kyane brings the blade over her head, and with quick motions, brings the sword coming down, right above the leaders head.

The pirate could not move, his grip was too hard on his sword. With a loud splash, his blood splattered everywhere, and especially all over Terra. "Ick, dis always happens to da best of us." Terra wiped off some of the brain and blood that splashed over her legs. "Well, I guess we can take deir stuff, dey won't be needin' it.", Terra smiled. She was pulling on a couple tresure chests, trying to take them to the ship. The other pirates that were still left looked at them, then retreated back to their golden chamber. Suddenly a huge bar dropped from the ceiling. "Ah well...we don't need yee gold anyway." Terra turned around to see Kyane realizing that she just brutally killed a man. "Tis ok, he started it wit' us."

Terra slowly carried the chest over to the ship, and gave it to a couple sailers to put on the ship. "Aye ma'am" Terra turned back around to see Kyane still in the same spot. "Really now..it wasn't ya' fault. I'm not sure if ya be worried about it or not...but ya've been standing there for awhile now."

Huh? Oh, I'm sorry. Its not the fact that I just killed him... Killings my specialty. But, I was just thinking about something, thats all... Sorry for zoning out on you...

Whiping the blood of her face, she headed towards Terra and her ship. Many bodies layed dead in the cave, and the smell and stench of the rotting started to cover the air in its disgusting taste. Flies already were taking up the rotting pieces, and some of the men who were still alive, tried to bat away the flies... Wasting their energy to shew away a few flies... She picked up the dagger that she had thrown, and slid it back in place in the inside of her cloak, and with a found cantina, she poured the clear liquid down the blade of her katana, washing away the bloodied stains, and dried it off on a small clothe that she produced from her pocket, and slid it down the blade before putting it back and sheathing her sword...

So, where you headin, Terra?

"Good question.....I dunno myself..." Terra looked up at the clouds and saw the face of her sister. "We're goin' somewheres that isn't here....", she says while fanning her nose. "I'm thinkin' somewhere where we can leave dis ol' boat. It gets so annoyin' sleepin' on it every night. Maybe we should go to Talas....I heard they got great shops."

That doesn't sound like a bad idea. And I must say, after that little brawl, I'm starving!

Soon as she finished saying that, her stomach growled. Her faced turned a little red, and felt embarrassed... The wind picked up some, as her hair blew into the wind. The day dieing as the sun dropped behind the horizon, and the temperature along with it. It always got chilly during the nights here.

Well, guess we should hurry!

"Ya, I guess we should. Once we get on da ship, ya can find a nice li' snack. But don't eat too much ya hear, I was told Talas has an awesome Inn to eat at. That could be some real booty." Terra thought about how nice it would be to have another female on the ship. Too much masculinaty has gotten into Terra's head. She needs more than just stinky men around her all the time. But of course, Terra has nothing against a hot man...too bad there are none on her ship. "So, ya ready ta go Kyane?"

Yes, Captain!

She said sarcastically. Shifting her cloak, she walks and stands next to Terra... She had never been on a ship this large before, and for this, it was like a new adventure. The only boats shes ever been on, were little dinky rowboats or wooden rafts, that were used to cross small distances, like island to island... Also, she hadn't had this much company to be around with, since her last visit to the towns, which was a few months before... Mainly, now, her profession has taken her out into the country, to track and find her kill, and bring them in for the gold she so truly deserved...

"We have a long road ahead of us ya'know." Terra looked at Kyane then back at her crew. "Load em up!" Her voiced reached glass shattering level again as she sounded off. "C'mon. We gotta get onboard. I'll give ya a grand tour." With Kyane close behind, Terra climbed the ropes to the top of the ship. "Here is meh ship. Ain't she a beaute.", Terra says smiling. "Now..da first place we should start at is....the kitchen." The young amazon was actually getting a bit hungry herself. She hadn't eaten in hours, and she was sure her new friend was just as starved.

A small trap door suddenly opens from the ship, and a staircase is brought down from the roof. "Here we are. Les go get us some food." Terra picks up her pace as she runs down the stairs, and cuts around corners. Finally coming to a huge room, she sees the fridge and darts for it. "This....this is luxury."

One thing Kyane didn't like, was climbing ropes. It was also something she was scared of, for some odd reason, which she doesn't know still. But, she gathered her courage, and started climbing. The ladder moved a bit, and almost made her freeze in the middle of climbing. Taking a deep breath, she climbs faster, and and gets to the top. Swing over, she lands on the deck and starts following Terra. The wooden boards creaked under her feet, as the boat swayed side to side a bit...
Climbing down the small staircase, they enter a kitchen. Her stomach growled as she saw and smelt food...

Terra tossed Kyane some bread and smiled at her. "Here ya are. Eat up, tis a long way to Talas." The young theif stuck a peice of meat inbetween her bread, and threw the rest of the ham at Kyane. "Put it on ya bread.", she says with a smile...chomping into her sandwich. Terra sat up on a counter, and began to rock back and forth from the currents against the boat. "This is good..." Terra was hoping Kyane would think the same thing, but you could never be too sure.

Reaching back for the fridge, Terra pulls out some orange juice. "Nuttin like dis ta keep the blood flowin'" Chugging the bottle, Terra makes herself seem like she had no manners. Living with a bunch of crewmen seemed to have gotten to poor Terra. She wasn't exactly 'A Lady' because she hasn't had many females around her.

Catching the bread and the ham, she put the two together. Taking a few bites, she watches Terra chug the orange juice, and thought to herself how she acted sort of like the men on deck. Yea, this is good. She said to Terra. Kyane was still polite, and much like a lady, although many wouldn't think of her that way for her statis as a bounty hunter....

So, how long is this trip?

"Actually, it should be less dan a day on dis boat.", she says with a smile. Looking around at the area, she remembered that she usually mans the wheel. "Oh, I'll beh back latta', ya can come if ya want. Straight back is the bathroom to the right, and the rooms to the left." Terra walked out of the room and back up the stairs. She noticed that too many people from her crew were dead, there was not enough people to man the boat. "Kyane! Come help.", she says while grabbing onto the wheel.

Uhh... Ok hold on!

Setting her food down on the counter top, she heads up the stairs. She almost fell as the boat swayed. Kyane definitily wasn't use to this. Trying to hold her balance, she makes it to the top deck, where she looks around for Terra... After a bit of searching, she found her at the wheel of the boat. She headed up to her, and talked.
What do you want me to do?

"Grab those ropes over there, and wrap them around the wooden pole over there." Terra continued to turn the wheel, trying to steer them as far away from the cliffs as possible. "Malibu! Please go check the engine, we seem to be running a little slow." With an 'aye ma'am' the sailor ran down the steps down to the engine room. Out of breathe, the boy finally arose from the depths. "Everything is secured Terra."
