Title: And The Rain Pours Down.....

Astra - August 22, 2004 07:58 AM (GMT)
The rain plummeted down from the sky relentlessly, soaking the forest floor until it was no more than mud. The sky was a mass of grey swirling clouds that seemed to be foreshadowing they did not plan to leave any sooner than they wished, which would most likely be a very long time.

Astra was huddled underneath the branches of an old Weeping Willow. The tree was her refuge and her comfort in the midst of the storm. A Lady of a royal family would not be used to such extremes of weather, but Astra was no normal Lady. She was born of The House of Moon Petals, but was what some thought of as a rogue. She secretly learned skills to survive in the world that was not full of the comforts nobility offered, she consider the world of nobles a world of fantasy.

It may have been hard for some to believe but Astra was more content shivering and covered in mud than she ever had been in her estate with her Father and Mother. She may not have been as pleased if she knew what was nearby.

Running from assassins, she somehow found her way close to a bandit camp. A highly talked of camp, but most thought its existents to be merely rumors. Some thought these cutthroats were actually heroes, stealing from the rich and giving to the pour. If someone had asked Astra’s opinion she would have said these villains probably considered themselves the needy and kept the loot for themselves.

Soon.”” Astra thought to herself, “the storm will pass and I will be on my way again. I will just have to wait it out here. Honestly, there could be worse places to be.” And just about half a league away, there was.

Skorne - August 22, 2004 01:13 PM (GMT)
Skorne walked throuh the forest, ignoring the rain as best he could. He was acting as a patrol for the bandit's camp, and he took his job seriously. He was covered with his cloak to keep himself as dry as possible, but it didn't help much. Skorne was just thinking of turning back and saying that no one would be traveling on a night like this when he saw something out of the corner of his eye. He quickly looked to his right, but he couldn't see it any more. Most people probably would have assumed it was nothing, but Skorne had made a living sneaking up on people, so he was more paranoid than most.

He turned and slowly made his way towards what he thought he had saw, using the trees and the rain as cover. He finally saw something that made him quiver with excitment, it was Astra! Finally he would be able to finish the job he had started at Talas, and there would be no Sargoth to interrupt this time. He slowly reached behind him and pulled his scythe out of his belt, determined to kill her. He had abandoned all thoughts of scouting for the camp, this was much more important in his mind.

Felix7 - August 22, 2004 07:23 PM (GMT)
Felix7 walked towards where he knew the bandits camp was. The rain soaked his hair, making water drip off of his ponytail down his back. He came out of the woods into a small clearing, eyes looking ahead dully. This job would be difficult. He had been ordered to... terminate the bandits camp. The noble paying was wealthy, and obviously desperate. Felix was hoping that some could escape; many at the camp he knew as fellow mercenary's. But the contract was drawn, the bond made. He would follow it until death or completion.

He saw movement out of the corner of his eye. A cloaked figure was moving expertly through the foliage. A glint of steel revealed the figure drawing a weapon. His first bandit. he grinned coldly, eyes and face still showing no extra emotion. After all, there was only the hunt in his mind. He unsheathed his sword and walked towards the cloaked figure, naked steel in his hand.
