Title: New Pet Unicorn (Bahamut!!)
Lothlómendil - August 16, 2004 11:13 AM (GMT)
After a bit of travel Lómen and the Unicorn she had come to call Losse entered the Village of Kellen. She rode the animal to the stables and when the stable hands saw the beautiful creature (ha ha Bahamut, yer PURDY) they came to her, each offering their help. "Please, just get some feed and water for her. Then I will ask that you brush her but do not remove the saddle, she is wild and I fear that if you take it off there will be no putting it back on."
Bahamut - August 16, 2004 11:14 AM (GMT)
(u still need name 'her') He grudgingly let them do everything required. He kicked on in the chest who got to close, but that was it.
Lothlómendil - August 16, 2004 11:24 AM (GMT)
Lómen thought for a moment as she watched them tend to the animal. She walked over to it and looked it in the face. "I shall call you.... Losse." She smiled, yes, Losse was perfect. "As soon as you boys are done with her let me know, I'll be waiting for her.
Bahamut - August 16, 2004 11:27 AM (GMT)
'Losse' finally looked at her captor. Lómen! He was shocked, but quickly put his head back down, letting them finish. Oh great, I've been captured by a fellow Goddess. And now that she's bridled me she won't sense my presence when we enter her temple grounds...It's almost my worst nightmare come true. I just hope she doesn't try to breed me with her male unicorn....
Varila - August 16, 2004 01:33 PM (GMT)
Varila walked in and went down the lines of stables. When she passed Bahamut, she stopped suddenly. The Flame of Alumri had flickered, as if someone with a power similar to hers was in that stable, and not just a horse. Looking around, she saw no one else but the grooms and the beautiful unicorn. Stroking its muzzle, she let the Flame of Alumri probe to try and find the source of power. Who are you? she thought, allowing the flame to carry her thoughts into the creature's mind. With a sigh she stopped probing. There was a hint of something there, but it was hardly large enough to be of any consequence.
"Farewell," she muttered to the creature, taking one reluctant step toward the door. She felt that there was more to it, but couldn't waste all of her time gazing at a unicorn. It was hardly worth her time, but she waited, wishing that the Flame would carry back a response.
Bahamut - August 16, 2004 07:43 PM (GMT)
He whinnies at her, recognizing her. He knew she wouldn't be able to sense him, except for that probe. must've been residue from the amulet, he thought.
Lothlómendil - August 16, 2004 08:35 PM (GMT)
Lómen had gone out into the village to get some lunch while the stable hands tended to Losse. She walked into the stables still chewing on an apple and she had a brown paper bag in her arms. She thought she felt a presence and she stopped, but whoever it was was too far away. She shrugged then walked over to Losse. She let out a sharp whistle and a stable hand came over to her. "Inside this bag are some horse shoes, horse bracers, and an equine blanket. I need them put on the unicorn before I can leave with her." "Yes, ma'am," replied the stable hand.
Bahamut - August 16, 2004 08:38 PM (GMT)
You've GOT to be kidding! When the stable hand put his hand under 'Losse's' hoove to put it on, 'she' crushes it. He yells in pain.
Skorne - August 16, 2004 08:43 PM (GMT)
Skorne stood in the shadows of one of the stalls, looking across at the unicorn that obviously didn't want to be there. Now that, is a prize worth stealing he thought to himself, but how to go about it. He decided a distraction would go best, he quickly crawled out by going underneath several other stalls. He looked around for a few minutes before he found a group of people that could be useful. There were four of them together, and he decided by there look that they weren't completely honest men. He paid them 5 gold each to cause the distraction that he required. He quickly ran back to the stalls and waited for them to get there. They took theit time, but they eventually arrived. Right outside the doors to the stall, a ham like fist was thrown, then another and another. Until a full sized brawl was going out right in front of the stables. Some passerbys that tried to stop the fight only ended up getting involved themself until at least 20 people were fighting right outside the stable.
He heard a scream of pain from inside the stall and quickly glanced inside to see what was happening, but turned back to watch the fight when he saw it was only the attendant in pain. He had obviously tried something the unicorn didn't agree with. Skorne would enjoy breaking that creature with so much spirit. He was good at that, he had made sure that he could ride almost any animal that he needed to.
Bahamut - August 16, 2004 08:45 PM (GMT)
Bahamut just stands there watching.I wonder.....He casts a fireball at the group, it comes from his horn.
Lothlómendil - August 16, 2004 08:51 PM (GMT)
Lómen whirled around at the sound of a brawl behind her. She watched as about four men went at it. Then she heard the cry from the stable hand and she turned back around. He was nursing his hand but he would be okay. She turned back to the fight. She should probably do something. She thought for a second then cast entangle on the whole lot of them. As they were all bound an errant fireball came from out of nowhere and struck the group. I hope they don't think that was me....
Bahamut - August 16, 2004 08:52 PM (GMT)
He just stays ther in the stall, in case anyone tries to take him he would only have to fight from one side.
Skorne - August 16, 2004 08:56 PM (GMT)
Skorne quickly ran into the stall from the opposite entrance of the fight and checked to make sure everyone's attention wasn't on the unicorn. He was glad to see them watching the fight that had occured. He suddenly swore under his breath when he saw the goddess stop the fighting right off, he would be cutting it close. So close, that he wasn't even sure if it could be done, but he lived for thrills like this. It was what kept him alive and strove him to reach even greater heights.
He quickly ran in and slashed the hinges of the door with his sickels, slicing them in half. The door fell forward with a resounding boom and Skorne cursed again. He quickly ducked into the stall next to the unicorn and clambered ove rhte wall, so the he ended up on the unicorn's back. He quickly dug his heels into the unicorns side to make it race off.
Bahamut - August 16, 2004 08:57 PM (GMT)
It runs aways, but doesn't turn, just goes straight into the opposite stall and runs into the wall. Unfortunately, 'Losse's' horn got stuck.
Lothlómendil - August 16, 2004 09:04 PM (GMT)
Once again a noise from behind her made her turn her attention back to the stables. There, on the ground, was the remains of a stable door and someone had mounted Losse and she ran into a wall. What on Imythess is going on? "Hey, you there! What on Imythess are you doing!?"
Bahamut - August 16, 2004 09:05 PM (GMT)
'She' screams, trying to pull her horn out of the wall but not succeeding.
Skorne - August 16, 2004 09:07 PM (GMT)
"What does it look like I'm doing you dope. I'm stealing the unicorn that you rightfully captured. Skorne decided that if this unicorn didn't want to come with him, he could at least make a small profit off of it. He leapt down from the unicorn's bakc and swung one of his sickels down at the unicorn's horn, trying to slice it off. He knew of several people that would pay well for magical items like the horn of a unicorn.
Bahamut - August 16, 2004 09:08 PM (GMT)
'Losse' aims and fires a hoof in his direction.the horn wasnt even damaged
Lothlómendil - August 16, 2004 09:12 PM (GMT)
No one tries to steal from a goddess. No one that lives.
Lómen cast a quick spell and a whip of fire appeared in her hands. She cracked it threateningly on the floor of the stable and a small shower of flames jumped up. That was his only warning for the pain he was about to endure. She snapped the deadly fire whip again and sent it after the thief, careful not to hit Losse.
Skorne - August 16, 2004 09:17 PM (GMT)
Skorne was saved from that pain by the unicorn itself. The unicorn's kick knocked him into the side of the pen and it bent backward slightly, putting him just out of reach from the fire whip. He quickly realized that he was in trouble if he didn't do something quick. He threw one of his sickels at the goddess as a distraction and jumped back onto the wall of the pen. He quickly summoned up his magic and long black claws grew from his fingertips, sharp enough to slice through the wall of this stable with ease. He leapt at the unicorn and swung one clawed hand at it, reasoning that if he couldn't have the unicorn, then no one would.
Bahamut - August 16, 2004 09:18 PM (GMT)
He finally pulls his horn free, but it causes him to back out of the stable and back into his.
Lothlómendil - August 16, 2004 09:24 PM (GMT)
Lómen dodged the sickle with the blink spell and it clattered to the ground behind her. Her eyes began to burn with the gold that always hid just under the surface. When she reappeared she was on Losse's back behind the thief and she grabbed his arm and jerked. She wrapped her arms around his waist and bodily heaved him off of the animal, but accidentally fell with him. They landed rolling on the ground and her pack and weapons spilled. She grabbed her dagger and slammed in down on the thief's clawed hand.
Bahamut - August 16, 2004 09:26 PM (GMT)
( im just gonna stop using '' for names. I just gonna act as if im truly Losse, for now.)She watches with interest.
Skorne - August 16, 2004 09:29 PM (GMT)
Skorne let out a roar of anger and pain as the dagger was stuck into his hand. He turned to slash at the goddess, not even bothering to remove the dagger from his hand. His eyes began to glow an even brighter red in his anger, until they shone out like the sun in the shadows of the stable. He knew that he would probably loose this fight, but what a fight it would be, the ultimate test of his skills and strength. He could feel himself losing himself into a berserk rage, he wouldn't be able to stop himself even if he wanted to when that happended, but he didn't care. He didn't want to stop, he would force the goddess to fight him, if she tried to stop and walk away, he would keep attacking her, forcing her to defend herself.
Bahamut - August 16, 2004 09:30 PM (GMT)
Losse doesn't know what she should do.
Lothlómendil - August 16, 2004 09:33 PM (GMT)
Lómen raised her arm to block and it took the full blow. Her robe tore and the exposed flesh was deeply cut and bleeding. She rolled to the side and grabbed her Sword of Air and stood to a crouching position. She waved with her free hand, challenging him to bring it on.
Skorne - August 16, 2004 09:38 PM (GMT)
Skorne accepted the challange eagerly, charging at the goddess with everything he had. He swung his right and at ther face, in an attept to get that area and stop her from seeing. He still hadn't bothered to remove the dagger from his hand, but he knew that he would have to do that eventually. He spread his wings and used them to power himself forward while still remaining onthe gorund. If his planned worked, he could easily bowl the goddess over and finish her off.
Bahamut - August 16, 2004 09:39 PM (GMT)
Losse sees her chance and runs at Skorne, firing an ennervation speel ahead of her.
Lothlómendil - August 16, 2004 09:41 PM (GMT)
As the demon charges to meet her challenge he is suddenly knocked over by a blast of blackness. Lómen sniffed the air. That was the enervation spell, but where was the caster? Something like that could kill a person. If thy were lucky enough to live, they would surely suffer. She cast the entangle spell again and the thief was bound where he lay on the floor.
Bahamut - August 16, 2004 09:42 PM (GMT)
Losse stops where she is.
Skorne - August 16, 2004 09:47 PM (GMT)
Skorne was wracked with pain when the spell hit him, he knew enough about spell to be able to identify it as an enervation spel, but where did it come from. He suddenly felt the effects of the spell binding him up, and instantly started to fight it. He wasn't even sure if you could escape this spell, but he had to try. At first, he didn't fell any result, but then he felt the tell tale signs of a rope being cut in half, so he redoubled his efforts. Soon, he was standing up, fighting his way through the pain. He folded his wings over his bady, planning on using them as shield from anymore spells. He knew that he was almost finished, but he continued to fight, not willing to give up until the very end. He brabbed his other sickel from his belt and threw it at the unicorn, he then charged at the goddess, swinging both of his hands at her left and right sides.
Bahamut - August 16, 2004 09:50 PM (GMT)
She uses telekinesis to stop the sickle, then lets it drop
Lothlómendil - August 16, 2004 10:01 PM (GMT)
Lómen was surprised that the thief freed himself quickly but she readied again when he charged. Unfortunately she had no way to block both sides at once and the dark claws buried into her right side. She yelled out in outrage and lifted her sword until the hilt was above her head then brought it down hilt first with all of her strength on the thief's head. That should do the trick....
Bahamut - August 16, 2004 10:03 PM (GMT)
Losse doesn't know what she should do
Skorne - August 16, 2004 10:09 PM (GMT)
The hilt struck Skorne full on, and the lights in his eyes instantly went out. He staggered back a few steps, before falling against one of the uninjured stall doors. Just before he blacked, he smiled at the memory of his greatest fight. He had been surprised that he had lasted that long against a goddess, but he still smiled, even though he was defeated. It was then that the gears in his mind sluggishly began to turn. He felt a presence that he had felt once before. He forced his mind to concentrate quickly, then the reality of it hit him like a thunderbolt, he was feeling the presence of the God of Fire, but where could he be. He had met him on the street sof Talas, and this was the same presence. Just as he was blacking out, his head fell turned, and the unicorn was brought into his swiftly fading vison, and he knew who had helped the goddess defeat him, and that made him smile even more. The God of Fire, forced to be a unicorn, forced to carry around another diety on his back. Then, he feinted clean out, and knew no more, but the smile never left his face.
Bahamut - August 16, 2004 10:10 PM (GMT)
Lothlómendil - August 16, 2004 10:16 PM (GMT)
Lómen staggered back with relief. The thief was unconcious for good now and the ordeal wa over. She walked over to him and gave him a swift kick in the arse to teach him a lesson then gathered her belongings. "Let that be a lesson to any that tries to steal from the Goddess of Magic," she called out to the crowd. She smoothed out her tattered robe and her hair then walked over to pet Losse and make sure that she was okay. She brushed her off then got into the saddle. With that, they rode off towards her temple.
Bahamut - August 16, 2004 10:18 PM (GMT)
finally that took along time
Iinaa - August 17, 2004 02:19 AM (GMT)
Iinaa stood and watched the fight in awe. This was a goddess that this man was fighting, did he know what he was getting into?
She had tried to work on the unicorn, though the stable's boss didn't let her. It was too dangerous to a girl. But it wasn't for Iinaa she had always wanted to touch a unicorn, though she never had gotten the chance before then. But then the boss wouldn't let her even get near it.
The goddess finally knocked the man out, and she rode off on her unicorn. Iinaa decided to follow. She quickly went to her fire steed, Uruite-sul, and jumped onto his bare back. The fire did not burn her.
She galloped off after the goddess, following only out of curiosity, nothing else. Where was this pair going?
Skorne - August 17, 2004 02:53 AM (GMT)
Skorne finally began to stir after several hours of being knocked out. He slowly opened hsi eyes, but closed them again when the throbbing waves of pain bounced around his skull. He lifted his hands and gingerly felt the large bump on the top of his head. He slowly sat up and used one of the stall doors to pull himself to his feet. Suddenly, the memory of what had happened flooded back to him and he smiled. Fighting his way through the pain, he spread his wings and launched himself into the sky, he needed to hurry if he wantedto get the the Temple of Magic any time soon. He had some news that couldn't wait till tomorrow. His smile nearly took up his entire face as he flew silently through the steadily darkening sky.
