Title: Mage of the Staff
Description: Kelsey
Kelsey - August 14, 2004 10:42 PM (GMT)
Once, Kelsey was a young unicorn. The last real unicorn that every lived. All other unicorns that existed at the time were either changed from another state, or were created un-naturally. Yes, Kelsey really was the Last Unicorn. But then, an evil magician turned her into a human. From where her horn was, a large red spot stands in the center of her forehead. Whenever she uses a spell, the red spot glows a bright white.
Kelsey longed to turn back into her unicorn form, but it wasn't that easy. She could not just shape-shift or anything. She had to learn that ability. The Necklace of the Ancients had the ability to change into any creature that the user wanted. Kelsey knew she could turn into an all-powerful creature...but she just wanted to turn back into her old self.
Journeying through Imythess, she searches alone for the necklace that she had lost. It wasn't that she didn't want others. But that fact that she had lived alone for so long made her a little scared to make companions. In order to keep herself occupied alone on her journeys, she sings to herself.
"Right now, one time...I wish on this rhyme...that someday I'll be...myself again. I wish...that I...could just learn to fly...to take.. me to.. the necklace...that I seek." Her hopes and dreams rested on the fact that she would once again be a unicorn.
Layila - August 14, 2004 11:14 PM (GMT)
Layila played a sad song on her flute, her wings out, and flapping slightly as she danced out the song, soft slow flowing movments. Her eyes were closed, her music was something that she had always loved and, that had stayed faithful and never put her down, and was something she could do very well, and less clumsily then flying. She had always longed to fly and soar through the sky like her angelic ancestors, but for some reason they wouldn't work the way she wanted them to. So instead she danced, and played out what she wanted, and occasionally sang, but only in elven for her sadness, and drow for her dreams, and english just for the sake of singing. She sang elven to portray her sadness because of its beauty, and drow for her dreams, becuase of its flow, and the doubt found in them, and engish for the sake of singing becuase most people spoke it. The flute stopped and she sang to herself, some of the words she spoke were english, but most was drow.Spread ussta alti'uin lu' soar, tiu areion l' Anulo, becoming l' mirshann Usstan ssinssrin tlu. Usstan ssinssrin tlu vel'uss Usstan tlun, lu' tiu, Usstan ssinssrin ulu tiu, spread ussta alti'uin lu' ortelanth whol z'hind. Soaring saph l' suri, ussta alti'uin beat xuil ussta xukuth. Usstan p'luvt whol departure, spread ussta alti'uin ulu tiu. She then played the song over and over on her flute.
((Translation: Spread my wings and soar, fly through the sky, becoming the angel I want to be. I want to be who I am, and fly, I want to fly, spread my wings and pray for journey. Soaring like the birds, my wings beat with my heart. I prey for departure, spread my wings to fly.))

Hearing more music other than her own voice, she began to wonder what was out there. What could possibly be roaming around her home in the caves. "I wonder....could I have company? Why would they sing instead of coming in?" The young maiden's curiosity got the best of her. She followed around the caves, skimming her hands against the crystals on the sides of the walls. "Hello...who is there?" She was a bit nervous, for she did not have her staff with her. "But...who on earth would sing so beautifully...just to attack me...." Once again, she continued on, leaving her staff behind. If she got into any major trouble, she could always talk her way out of it. Peeking around the corner, she saw a girl with pink hair that resembled an angel...but not quite. "Hi...I'm Kelsey...who are you?" She didn't even think about that fact that she was probably interrupting the girl's song. She just continued on. Her feet moved forward alot slower now, waiting for a reply.
Layila - August 14, 2004 11:36 PM (GMT)
Layila stopped when she heard the voice. Oh, hello, my name is Layila, did my song disturb you? She smiled at the other girl, her thoughts wandering back and forth from the past to the present, and to what maybe. She held her flute down at chest level, she studied the girl and noticed a mark on her forhead. I wander what that's for, or from... She would have asked this out loud but thought it might be like her own unhuman atributes. When it came to talk about her wings people sometimes asked the stupidest questions, and when they asked if she could fly, she became embaressed, and angry that her answer was always no.

"Those beautiful tones would only disturb a human being that is already disturbed in the head. That song was lovely..maybe you could teach it to me sometime." She then noticed that the girl was looking somewhere above her head. She quickly whipped her head, making her hair fall down right over the scar. "Hi Layila, I'm Kelsey. It is a pleasure to meet you." Kelsey was just hoping that she really didn't notice the scar. No one beleives her when she tells them that she is actually a unicorn that was trapped in a human body.
Layila - August 15, 2004 12:08 AM (GMT)
Layila felt bad for staring. Where did you get that interseting scar? It looks as though it was caused by magic. She immediatly covered her mouth, she meant to think it not say it, but it just slipped. She tried to think of a way to back track, then it hit her. Since that was really really rude, you may ask a few questions about me if you'd like. Anything at all! She smiled at her and but it was a smile of appoligy and akwardness.
Kelsey - August 15, 2004 12:19 AM (GMT)
Kelsey smiled. "It's ok...everyone asks about it. My powers were stripped by an evil wizzard. I was a unicorn...but he trapped me in this human body. It's hard for me to get use to it, but I'm trying." She looks at the girl's wings, and begins her question. "Well..since you said so...How'd you get those wings? They don't look like any regular angel wings to me..."
Layila - August 18, 2004 12:55 AM (GMT)
Layila smiled, at least she could ask somthing harder. My mother I think was human, and my father an angel of some sort, and when I was born I had these stupid wings, that won't even let me fly... She flicked them and the shattered like glass. Don't worry I do that quite often. She smiled. It seems we both have somethings to get used to, for you its being human, for me its those confounded wings... She smiled and brought her wings back into view.

Kelsey smiled at the girls words, "Yes, we most certainly do" Her mind was still stuck on the question of why she was here. This was Kelsey's home, and some one else was suddenly looking through the caves. "May I ask why you have come here?", she said, being the very opposite of rude.
