Title: Running

Elvanshae - August 10, 2004 10:33 PM (GMT)
Elvanshae seemed to fume inwardly as she looked at the stout old dwarf. Her sword was broken and she had come all this way. The sword was dwarvish, only a dwarf could fix it. And here he was the fat little boor saying "No lassie I ain't fixing nothing for an elf!"

Hmph. And then after that the ugly dwarf had gone on and sworn about elves and their pointy eared brethren. Elvanshae had promptly hit him over the head with the pommel of the blade and knocked him senseless.

Now she scrambled to get away from at least a dozen angry dwarves as they chased her all over the upper city that was on the side of the mountain. She swore under her breath, only because it made her feel better. But it didn't help the situation. She managed to find an entrance to the city and sprinted full force for it. But at the last second she realized that the city was guarded and sprang for a nearby building. Elvanshae darted in, bolted the door, windows, and collapsed against the wall. "I am such an idiot," being winded, it was all she was able to say.

Bahamut - August 10, 2004 10:36 PM (GMT)
Bahamut looks up from where he had been working on something."Yes, you are for entering without asking."

Elvanshae - August 10, 2004 10:43 PM (GMT)
Elvanshae cracked one eye open from where she sat and saw a man. She narrowed her eyes. "So I am," she said in a winded voice. She caught her breath and stared at him. "You're no dwarf," that was interesting. At her entire time here, Elvanshae had not seen anything OTHER than dwarves. She supposed she was safe around here for now. The dwarves seemed to have overlooked this place. Elvanshae wiped a bead of sweat that trickled down from her face, and worked her way to her feet. "Listen. I'm really not concerned if I've entered without asking... There is a whole city of dwarves out there trying to kill me,"

Bahamut - August 10, 2004 10:48 PM (GMT)
"You're quite right I'm not a dwarf. In fact, I'm half elvish. But they won't attack me."

Elvanshae - August 11, 2004 02:32 PM (GMT)
Elvanshae just looked at him. She frowned. "All right. Half-elvish," she didn't mean this as an insult. Elvanshae was an elf after all. "But that DOESN'T help any!" Now Elvanshae could hear the dwarves coming back; it was obvious that they had missed something. She bit down on her back teeth and walked arond the room. It seemed to be a workshop slash storeroom. Interesting. All dwarven made. "By the way. Name is Elvanshae,"

Bahamut - August 11, 2004 09:19 PM (GMT)
He smiles."Bahamut"

Elvanshae - August 11, 2004 10:36 PM (GMT)
Okay then... Elvanshae guessed that Bahamut didn't feel like talking so she turned and looked at the window. To her horror it was wide open. She rushed over to it and closed it, turned down the shutters and latched it securely. " You don't mind that, do you?" she asked Bahamut, just to be sure.

"There. I hope they don't come in." She heard a pounding on the door and groaned. The last thing on her list of priorities was getting killed. Elvanshae was intent on staying alive for as long as possible.

Bahamut - August 11, 2004 10:42 PM (GMT)
He gets up and goes over and opens the door."Yes?" They converse for a moment."Yes she's here, no you can't have her. She's under my protection." The dwarf tells him about what she had done. "Okay, I'll make sure it doesn't happen again." The dwarf thanks him, he thanks the dwarf, then closes the door, then goes back and sits down.
