Guinevere was walking around Cascadia. She was amazed at the city, it almost reminded her of home, yet there was water all around here.

Meera sat upon a fountain of water with her head resting on her chin. Today was one of those days when you couldn't seem to find anything to do. Her mind was shut-down it refused to think or do anything. Her green eyes quickly darted around. The city was almost as empty as her brain. But then on her last side glance she spotted a woman. She picked up her head and looked more closely at her. She seemed nice enough but you could never tell. She stood up and uttered a soft but loud "hello?" Her curiosity got the better of her and she trod closer to the woman.

Kicking her feet in the water, Meru looks around at the two. She notices that one is an archer just like she is. But then, she looks closer and realizes that both are archers. Meru dangles her feet idely in the river that flows by the city. "This is so peaceful",she thought to herself. "But would it still be peaceful if Bahamut was here..."

Ferus leans against a tree close to where Meru is. His eyes seemed focused on her, yet his head constantly turns, looking around in the sky for any sign of Bahamut. "I wonder if that eildion if going to show up or not. I'd like to see him fight without relying on the power the Gods gave him.." He said outloud, hoping the girl would hear him. "He usually finds you, so I'll wait around you until he appears.." He said, closing his eyes and leaning his head back.

"Follow me? I am almost positive that he does not follow me..." She stands up and looks at Ferus. "Where did you come from?" Her blue hair swayed in the wind as the currents flow past her. Her eyes show a small hint of sorrow. No one would be able to tell what exactly was up with her...she didn't even really know herself. Her delicate feet move over toward the man with white and black hair.

"Well, I know you two are going to meet again. And when that moment comes, I'll kill that elf when he lets his guard down. As for where I came from, I travel all over the lands. I go where I want, when I want. It's all just to survive this harsh reality" He said as he slowly opened his cyrtsal blue eyes. He noticed the beautiful girl was walking towards him, but the youth made no movements. He simply closed his eyes again and retruned to his resting position.

"Why are you so sure of yourself? And how is it possible? Do you not have doubts?" Meru's string of questions was sure to anoy Ferus...even though she didn't do it on purpose. She continued to move closer the man, looking at his spongebob eyes. "Why do you close your eyes at me young sir? Is there some hideousness on my face?"

"I close my eyes because I'm a little tired. There is nothign on your face but beauty miss" He says opening his eyes to meet the girl eye to eye. "I know beating a God is no easy task. But trust me, I'm good at improvising and I'll figure something...hopefully" He looked at the girl, wondering why she was approaching him.

Meru blushed at the man who had complemented her. "How sweet of you", she said with a little bit of studdering in her voice. "I need your help" A random sentence blurted out of her lips. "I need you to join forces with me. To find anyone who can help me defeat the God of Chaos. He killed my brother, and for that he must die. I don't care if he is a god...he must be taken out. Do you know of anyone else I could ask?" Her eyes changed from sorrow to a hint of anger. She looked away, trying to hide that feeling. "If you will not help me...please just let me know. I understand that you may not have time for some revenge freaked girl"

Ferus looked into her eyes, seeing the anger and frustration she held towards he God of Chaos. "I'll help you out. I have my own reasons for destroying him. And I'm the only person I know who's willing to take on such a risk." He gazed at the girl with his blue eyes, then back into her matching ones. For a few moments there was nothing but silence. The wind blue against the water, creating a few ripples. "Why do you ask me for help? Aren't you ticked off for what I did before?"

"Ticked? I am a little mad that you ignore me...but everyone can get over that..." She thought for a moment about what he said earlier. "Oh ya..." Meru jumps up and gives Ferus a hug. "Thank you so much. And if we know no one else...we'll have to find people!"

(GAH!!!!!!)She looks at Meera."Hello."Then sees the other two."Hi, who are you two?"

Ferus is a bit surpirsed by the hug. But a smile appears on his face as his arms gently retrun the hug. "Ok, I won't ignore you anymore, I promise." The youth said while looking at the beautiful girl. "So do we have any leads to anyone who would actually want to go and kill the God of Chaos? Because I doubt we could do it by ourselves alone.."

Meru looked over at Guinevere. "Maybe she could help us." Meru ran over to the other archer. "Excuse me...but...would you be interested in helping us defeat the god of chaos?"

"A god? You want to try and defeat a god? Are you nuts?"

Ferus almost fell over at the girl's haste at asking a complete stranger. "Maybe we should try and get to know these people first, instead of just randomly asking them...uh...we never said our names did we? Mine's Ferus" The youth said, exntending his hand to Meru.

"Dos draa phuul ushdui ka dos ssinssrin ulu elgg natha yah"

"I don't know....I just know that revenge is needed." She saw the mans hand reach out toward hers. Her delicate hand placed inside his. "I'm Meru, nice to meet you Ferus." She then turns to the archer. "I am Meru. If you don't want to help...that is fine."

"Your just insane. I'm Guinevere by the way."

Ferus looked at the women, his whole face showing confsuion. "I did not understand a word that lady just said...but I don't think she wants to come along. She doesn't look that eager anyway" He cracked his neck and fists a few times before turning back towards Meru. "I only have a little bit of money, enough for you to buy 3 mealseach day for 3 days."

"Do not worry...I am not poor", she says with a smile. She looks at the girl. "Hello Guinevere. And if you want to miss out on a great adventure...then stay here and wait while all of Imythess is taken in chaos...nice knowing you", she says, walking away.

"Your insane! The gods are taking care of it. Your chasing air!"She walks off, laughing.

Meru flips around. "Then answer me this...what is your purpose in life?"

"Laugh now you pitiful mortal. For when we destroy the God of Chaos and are granted with powers beyond imagination, you are the first one to die. COunt on it.." He snapped at her. It was uncalled for of her to make fun of a quest so noble, yet so risky. "Where to first Meru?" He said as he ran back up to her side.

"I must wait for her answer first...."

She flips around. She walks up to them. She then slaps Ferus."Your the fool, you (bleep)"She glares at him."And tell me, why would the council grant you powers, you, who are new to this land, who know nothing of it!"She looks at the girl."My purpose is to find what I have lost, my lost soul."

"Look you asinine blockhead. A person cannot live without a soul. Great skills are only given to those that are worthy? Is there anything more worthy than someone fighting for justice, and someone that is trying to bring peace to this land? If you feel that a simpleton like you would get the title of goddess over me, you have much to learn." Meru's darker side began to take over. She could not stop herself from letting out her rage. "I must appologize. I did not mean to be so forthcoming. You have your own rules of life, and I have mine. Now if you'll excuse us, we'll be on our way.

Ferus remained calmed, not drawing out his blade and killing the girl in one quick slice. He turned around and followed Meru as tehy walked away. "She was a jerk, who does she think she is? She's just a chicken-wuss and is too scared to go fight.."

She hears this and fires an arrow. It goes past his ear, very close."The next wont miss, boy."

Ferus turns his head at the sound of a quiver firign an arrow. As the arrow makes its way past his ear, he draws out his balde and slices the arrow in half in an instant. "Don't try me elf, I'm quicker then you think..." He warned as he sheathed his blade on his back. "Let's go Meru..."

Meru's bow suddenly changed into a dark blue. A chill of ice surrounded her. As she strung her arrow against the bow, it suddenly turned to ice. Meru aims towards Guin's right arm. Releasing her arrow, she waits to see if her accuracy was as good as she thought it was.

She dodges it."Your pathetic. All of you new people are like this."She walks off.

Meru smiles and looks at her new partner. "Don't worry...If I wanted to sever her throat, she wouldn't have such lip." Meru and Ferus continue to walk out of the area, and soon reach the edge.

Seele watched the two leave. He had eavesdropped on the entire process, their talk and brief fight with Guinevere. These people have a way of not agreeing with people... Like me, kind of. He shrugged, black cloak flowing around him. He slowly followed them, watching them carefully. THeir quest will provide entertainment, if nothing else.

Meru snapped around. "I was looking for you! You never told me your name",she says looking at the strange man, wrapped in robes. "You were listening to everything we said...and you even watched the battle..or...little skirmish I guess..."

Seele grinned. "Ah, but Lady Meru, you never asked for my name before. And you never told me to go away either. So why would I have done those things?" he bowed almost mockingly, golden eyes bright. "The name is Seele. I am an elven scholar and mage." He straightened, the cloak settling around him. "As a recorder of history, I find what you're trying to do... interesting, and see no reason to leave yet. Or anyway that you could make me."

Meru looked at the man. "And here I was thinking all elves were as curtious as I",she says with a smile. "It's nice to meet you Seele, mage scholar."

Ferus is almost disgusted at how much they use their manners. "Um, are you done talking to this stalker yet? We gotta a quest to do, and we don't have unlimited time. So let's go already!" He shouts from about 3 yards away form her. She stopped yet he had kept walking despite the man's intrusion.

"HEY! We have obligations to take this man along with us!" Meru didn't exactly know what they were, but she sure felt that he belonged with them. "Don't you realize? The more people we have with us, the better? Besides...we must all be different in our own way..."

"Yea he's different alright, he's stalking you. I don't trust this guy, he's been following us this whole time and he hasn't said a word. he'll probably kill us in our sleep! We'll find people willing to help us later on. Let's go!!" He was gettign a little ticked off now. They were wasting valuable time which they could be using to getting some information, or traveling or something.
