Title: Thinking
Bahamut - August 1, 2004 02:39 PM (GMT)
Bahamut was sitting on the slope of Therab, ,watching the lava flow. It was dark, and the stars above him were bright. The moon was full, and a light wind was there.

Kari carefully walked about the narrow paths of Therab. This was the first time she had gone to this place, but she just wanted to go out for a walk after all the trouble she had lately.
She took a deep breath and looked up at the nightsky, thinking about where to go now. She had found a couple of useful ingredients for a spell she wanted to master very badly, so she thought she could go home again, although no one would miss her.
She started to walk off the slope, shivering slightly because of the light breeze.
I wonder if anyone is back already. Ah well... Who cares.
She jumped over a small rock, her own energy surprising her for she had been tired during the day, and suddenly noticed that she wasn't the only one in here. There was a young man sitting on the slope, a few meter in front of her.
She caught her breath, not knowing what to do. She had to go that way, but didn't really dare to walk past him. You never knew if he was evil or not.
She turned around instead and hoped that he hadn't heard her.

"Being half-elf gives me good ears, and I know when someone enters Therab anyways, since it is my home."He points to the temple in the middle of the lava."The grand Temple of Fire."He sounded sarcastic about the grand part.

Kari swallowed, and slowly turned around again. 'Your temple?'
She eyed him curiously. If it was his temple, did that mean that he was a god? That was interesting.
She didn't know what to say and bowed her head lightly instead.
'I'm sorry for disturbing you. My name is Kari Leigh Firestone, nice to meet you.'
Selena Starling - August 3, 2004 11:29 AM (GMT)
Selena was looking all over the place to find someone. But this dark night was empty and not a soul was around. Selena sat down on a bench outside a large building. She could wait here, then. Maybe the person would show up as time went by. Selena drummed her fingertips on the wood, looking around. Hmmm... Oh, maybe behind that tree! Is it a pers... No, just a deer... fine... She licked her lips and after that ran her fingers through her hair. A minute went by. Nothing happened, no one came. She was starting to feel a bit anxious now and was, again, drumming her fingerstips on the wooden bench. She started singing. 'Oh, there behind the moon and stars... I know it is you looking from afar... With your eyes you are watching me... Not knowing that I, too, see...' she sighed. Come on! I can't stay here all night. It's silly enough I got out of bed without the knowledge why or where I should go. I can't stay here, just sitting a bit, waiting for someone of who I don't even have the faintest idea that person is! But her doubts were being overshadowed by her intuition. And that told her to stay put. So, she did and continued her song. 'My love, you know who I am... And I know the colours of your face... But although I don't quite understand, it's too late to stay away...away...' Her song sounded to her like the last hope left in her tonight. She was that close to thinking she was waiting in vain for someone who wasn't even coming. Then suddenly it hit her. 'What..What if that person is already here?'

Kari raised her head, startled by a voice that had sounded somewhere in the distance. A singing woman's voice. She furrowed her brow and directed herself at the man before her again, thinking that it probably had been her imagination.
It's been a while since I heard voices... Hm...
Bahamut - August 3, 2004 07:42 PM (GMT)
"I'm Bahamut, the not so grand God of Fire" He turns around."Pleased to meet you Kari."
Selena Starling - August 3, 2004 11:04 PM (GMT)
Selena sat still for a second, trying to make out every sound that was heard. Maybe the person she was supposed to meet was in fact here already. Maybe she had just not seen him. Or her. Suddenly she looked back, over her shoulder and faced the tall, grey building. The temple of Fire. Selena gasped. Who ever it is, he or she is in that building. They just have to be.... Not doubting it for a single moment, she got up and walked over to the entrance of the temple. Torched lit the way inside as she got down a small pair of stairs. After a while she cleared her throat. How silly. She had been so stressed to get here that she hadn't give it any thought of what it was that she wanted to say. Or maybe I will simply know then... When I meet that stranger. When I look into their eyes... She reached the bottom floor. She now entered a room significantly more lit and more alive than the tomb-like hallway she had set foot in to enter this temple. Then she heard it. Voices. Talking voices. 'Two voices?' Selena noted, out loud. 'But I thought there was only one person I was supposed to meet tonight.' This confused her a bit. But she kept on walking. She had to know what this was all about. It was only a few seconds later that she realised how well she knew one of those voices. A female voice. The voice of... No! No, it can't be! What is she doing here, then?
Bahamut - August 4, 2004 02:41 AM (GMT)
He looks up."Someone entered my temple. But who.....?"He goes down to the temple and enters, seeing her."Hello....?"
Kari_Firestone - August 4, 2004 01:12 PM (GMT)
Kari smiled at the God but was surprised when she heard another voice. A voice that sounded a lot like...
'Selena?' Kari whispered.
She noticed that Bahamut was going to check who was there, and she carefully followed him.
Bahamut - August 4, 2004 01:30 PM (GMT)
He enters the room and sees Selena."Hello, may I help you?"
Kari_Firestone - August 4, 2004 06:43 PM (GMT)
Kari quickly followed Bahamut and noticed that her thoughts had been correct. It was her best friend Selena, the slender red-haired girl with sparkly green eyes.
She waved at her and grinned widely, but decided not to speak before Selena had replied to Bahamut's question.
