Kli walked along the desert sand. It was hot and sweaty and she was needing water. Her short black and red hair was damp from sweat and stuck to her neck. "Why?" She asked herself. "Why did I have to go this way?" She muttered and then she stopped to rest. She held her brown cloak and wore her mud stained dress. She also wore brown trousers and boots. She stopped and rested.

She looked back, the horse she had once saved had followed her. "What are you doing boy?" She asked the white stallion. He neighed loudly. Kli chuckled. She got up. "Mind if I ride you?" She asked before climbing on his back. The horse started to trot off. Kli fell asleep but suddenly awoke when she felt the horse stop. She opened her blue-ish grey eyes and looked. It was some kind of city. She shook her head tierdly. 'It must be a mirage...' Kli thought. Kli got off and started for the city. She almost fainted when she saw it was real.

She saw some water and eagerly drank. She was quite thirsty as was the horse. The people stared as she soaked herself with the water. She didn't care though, it was very refreshing. "Next time I'm going the opposite direction if I'm to travel.." She said to the horse who seemed to understand. She pet the horse and smiled.

(Grr.. How could I have been so stupid? I spelled mirage in the post right but not the topic title... <_< Lol.. This reminds me of 'Spit in Three' lol)

Layila walked to the city, her wolf and leopard by her sides. She was singing a little song while she walked, it was warm out but she liked the heat. The day had been great, it was beautiful out, and her wings where now not as bad as she had thought, she had them stretched out to shade her animals. They ran ahead to the water, and Layila followed almost keeping up, but not quite, she saw another person, soaked, and decided that it was better then not doing anything. Hello there who are you? She looked to the horse and smiled.

Kli's eyes darted to Layila. "I'm Kli.. And you are?" She asked, taking a step towards her. The white stallion backed away quickly, afraid of Layila. The poor horse had been abused and didn't trust too many people at first. Kli looked to the horse. "Don't be afraid boy.. No one's going to hurt you.."

Layila's smile faded as the horse backed off, but it came back as she spoke. I'm Layila, and this is Lienna, and Larka. She pointed to her leapord, then the wolf, as they came back to her side, she turned to both of them, because they would most likely only spook the horse more. Alu pholor lu' lor bauth l' che'el. She spoke to them in drow because it was the only language that they undderstood. The two obediantly ran off through the city, avioding the horse.

"Well.. Hello Layila, Lienna and Larka.. What beautiful names.." Kli smiled. "Have we met before?" Kli asked, squinting at her. She shook her head. I'm loosing my mind aren't I? She thought to herself. "Anyway.." She said, looking at the frightened horse. "This is..." She looked back at Layila. "Well, actually, I don't think that I have found a name for him.. But he seems to want to follow me every where.." She said with a slight chuckle as she looked at the horse. A marvelous creature, except for the bruises on his sides.
