Title: Testing the Waters

Loki - July 29, 2004 01:44 AM (GMT)
Loki looked at the water thoughtfully, her head resting near the edge of the water, and her great scaled form rather imposing in the small area. Her scales gleamed in the half-light, as the sun slowly began to descend. She smirked and her gleaming teeth became more visible.

Loki stood. She wasn't as big as some dragons, rather small for her age, but to a human it would seem rather frightening.

She gingerly touched the water with a claw, then her smile widened.

She plunged into the water, quickly diving down to the bottom of the pool. The dragon spread her wings, and once again wished she had been born a water dragon. Her jaws opened, and a plume of bubbles fountained forth, her eyes shut tight, until the water started pouring down her throat.

She burst out of the water, and into the air, her eyes shut tight.

She flew into the cliff that the water poured down from, and hit the ground, bleeding slightly, and hacking up a mixture of acid and water.

Munwithurix - July 29, 2004 01:53 AM (GMT)
Munwithurix watched the other black dragon from a distance, her deep eyes glimmed with annyonce. She then started foward as the other came out of the water. She opened and closed her wings and then yawned.
"Who are you?" She asked in a threating tone. She then laid down and waited for the other dragon to come down.

She stretched her front legs out and they touched the water. Her tail lay behind her and her wings were next to her body. Acid dripped from her mouth and hit the ground making a sizzling sound.

Loki - July 29, 2004 02:09 AM (GMT)
Loki dropped to the ground, her tail lashing, and hissed the only healing spell she had.

As her vision cleared, she stared blankly at the larger dragon before her, dropping to sit on the ground rather oddly, and a little reminiscient of an attentive dog waiting for a treat. But this was no dog. Her tail twitched from side to side as she stared at the larger dragon, her wings were folded tightly against her back, and there was a bit of awe in her gaze.

Loki shook it off, and answered, with just enough beligerence in her voice to annoy even the most composed creature. "I might be apt to ask you the same question." She realized that being a pest to a larger dragon might be a bad idea, but what is done is done after all.

"My name is Loki, if it matters to you."

Munwithurix - July 29, 2004 02:19 AM (GMT)
Munwithurix glared at Loki, "I am Munwithurix. And I'm just wondering, why can't you stay underwater long? Most Black dragons can, like me," She said with a laugh/growl. She stood up and her tail lashed from side to side threating the other to come closer.

"When did you get here?" She asked her dark voice slightly laughing. She then filled her mouth glan with acid. "I was the only black dragon here, but now you are here. Why? Why did you come to this land? Why are you here in the falls and not in the marsh?" her voice getting louder. She hated other dragons, no matter what kind. She felt like they were better then her and she didn't like that.

She turned and walked a few feet closer to Loki, her tail lashing. She then started circling the other. She moved from side to side waiting for the younger one to reply. Her black green tinted scale flashed red as the sun setted. She walked around the young one and turned her head to keep an eye on Loki.

Loki - July 29, 2004 02:33 AM (GMT)
Loki skittered about to face the other dragon. 'I shouldn't of said that. I should NOT of said that...'

She answered, trying to make herself seem calm. "I started to drown. I can't help but try to breathe. Is there something wrong with that?" She was starting to get angry now, angry that this other dragon seemed to be intent on driving her out, despite it being the one intresting place she could find.

"I just got here. I just found this place. I felt like coming to this land, and I hate swamps!" She growled angrily, and snapped her jaws shut on the last word, after spitting it out like a curse. Her tail lashed violently from side to side, and she glared at the other dragon, angry at the fact they're attitude towards her was to jump to the attack, automatically, without even seeming to think of being a little less confrontational.

Munwithurix - August 1, 2004 04:00 AM (GMT)
Munwihturix opened her wings and took to the air in one great jump, she then spat a mouth full of acid towards Loki's face. "Why do you hate swamps?" Munwithurix asked, flying down to the ground again. "All of our kind like them," She laughed, "but you must be a freak, most of us live in swamps, not crystal clear waters."

She filled her mouth glan with acid again. She lashed her tail, "Are you afraid to attack me?" She asked, she grinned, showing her large teeth, "I am stronger then you, and I will show you who rules these waters around here!" She shouted, She then charged at the smaller dragon, her two large horns, that grew at the side of her head, pointed straight at Loki.
She folded her wings tight to her back giving her more speed, her large claws ponded the ground as she charged.

Loki - August 3, 2004 03:08 AM (GMT)
Loki scrambled to get out of the way of the spray of acid, and managed to dodge most, but not all of it. The left side of her face, just under her eye, hissed as the acid started to eat away at it. "They're disgusting...Only an old-fashioned fool would live there, that's where everyone expects you to live. Ever heard of Dragon Hunters?"

She bit off the rest of her tirade to skitter towards the water, in a second attempt to avoid serious injury, and realized she was skittering about far too often today, and crashed into the water. She spun in the water to face the larger dragon, and spat a small spray of acid at her.

She moved further back into the water, more confident with the familiar element surrounding her.

Munwithurix - August 22, 2004 05:28 PM (GMT)
Munwithurix didn't go into the water, instead she stood a few feet from it watching Loki with her deep set eyes, "That is why you make traps for them and catch the hunters and eat them, humans are not very smart," she said with a laugh.

"I will let you live if you leave this land, and then I will be one of the only black dragons here, but if you do not leave then I will kill you," she said moving closer to the water, tail from side to side, "Do we have a deal?" she asked with a hiss.

She then filled her acid glan again and waited for the small dragon to reply, even if she has to kill this one it would be fun doing it...

Loki - August 23, 2004 08:19 AM (GMT)
Loki backed farther into the water, slowly, eyeing Munwithurix carefully. Her back claws searched for the edge of the drop-off she had gone off before. Her mind meanwhile, searched quickly for the thread of magic she needed, as acid started to drip from her jaw.

Her mind locked on the thread, then it danced out of reach. She reached out to it again, catching the spell in a cold grip with her mind. She wasn't about to let this elder tell her what to do, threaten her. This, she had decided, was the place she was going to call home, and by hell and high water there was no way she would let someone, no matter what race they might be drive her out.

She spat a mouthful of acid at the larger dragon. "No. Not at all." She stepped backwards again, wings pressing against her back, ready to dive if need be. 'Come hell or high water...'

Munwithurix - August 24, 2004 12:45 AM (GMT)
Munwithurix jumped at Loki her front claws extended forward and teeth exposed. But then she opened her wings and flew up into the air, "I will deal with you later, I have something I have to do, but I will be back be sure to be ready!" she shouted above the waterfall. Flying higher in the sky Munwithurix went above the waterfall and then stopped and looked down at the younger dragon.

"I will be back, and I suggest you be ready!" she shouted louder, "I will get you to leave even if it is one hundred years from now or more!" she took to the air again and flew away glaring at nothing but the dark sky. She had to get back to the swamp before the spiders took over it or before someone found her hourd, and that happened alot at night. Or maybe a zombie will take her hourd. She hated leaving a battle but she had her reasons, if she wanted to she could fight for days.
