Master Ace - July 21, 2004 09:21 PM (GMT)
Master Ace walked throught the streets of Talas looking for the Temple of swords. It was raining hard, but Master Ace continued to move with his slow pace. Master Ace's blue hair was soaked. His plain white shirt and bland black pants were pretty wet as well. It was late, he figured he might prefer to have her resting during the day time. He would have never have come to the temple if he hadn't met Veronna in perosn. As far as he was concerned it would be a waste of his time. Master Ace had met the Goddess on Threab just yesterday. He didn't intend on breaking a promise to the divine. While he was talking to her he remebered things of his past. He hoped that she could help him remember more of his old freind, Alorous Veldan. Alorous Veldan was a drow who was like a second father to Ace. Master Ace found it strange that she was the only person had told his last name to. He didn't exactly know why he did either. He didn't tell his last name to Bahamut.

He looked across the black bricks and the silver symbols with two scimitars crossed with a long sword down the middle. "This is the place," he thought to himself." He had Antepode with him. He hoped he would teach how to use it, in addtion to her helping relearn the drow language. Alorous had barely taught him to carry more than a simple conversation in Drow, and it had been years since he last used what little he knew. He walked inside and took time to admire the beautiful grey walls, and glorious design on the black floor.

Veronna Darkblade - July 22, 2004 12:58 AM (GMT)
Veronna was sitting in the arena thinking to herself, when she felt someone else in the temple. She stood and drew her sword. She moved through the corridors until she came to the entrance and she saw someone standing there. She looked closer at him before she attacked him, and it was good thing too, because she knew she invited this man to her temple. She sheathed her sword and walked over to him. "Hello Ace" She said opening her arms, "Welcome to the Temple of Swords." She put her arms down.

"Come with me please, I do not think we want to be in the entrance hall forever." She said walking down the main corridor. She looked at one of the symbols on the wall, she was never pleased with how they looked, they were kind of plan to her. She walked till she was in the arena again and she looked around the room; there was swords laying everywhere, she had not bothered to pick up for awhile, she prefered to use her own private arena instead of this one. She went over to some spears laying on the floor and she picked them up and putted them on a rack. She picked up a few swords, axes and shields, and instead of putting them on a rack she threw them in a pile off to the side.
"I am sorry I didn't clean things up before you came." She said picking up a glaive amd setting against the wall. "I do not have many people come to my temple, so I do not pick up much." She told him.

She was done "cleaning" and she walked over to him with a smile on her face. "Do you wish to duel first or practice your Drow?" She asked him.

Master Ace - July 23, 2004 04:30 PM (GMT)
Master Ace followed her through the halls and admire the structure and design of the temple as he walked. They passed through the main corridor and reached the arena. It was a pretty big room. He was dissapointed to see her arena in the same condition that he had imagined that the Academy of Arms would be in. She at least had reasons why her arena was mess. He watched her put up the equipment and wanted to help, but wasn't precisely sure if she wanted the help.

"I suppose we should go with the practice first and then you can show me how to use this thing," Master Ace replied as he held up Antipode. He seemed a little worried about the word duel, after all he didn't even know if he knew how to hold the thing properly. He had found out how to bring out its magical capablities, but that was an easy thing to find out even for one without such knowledge of magic as he had.

Veronna Darkblade - July 28, 2004 06:47 PM (GMT)
Veronna smiled and looked at the sword he held; she never really used two bladed swords but she had used one before but she wasn't very impressed by the one she used. "Very well" she said sitting down on one of the benches, "Do you remember any of the Drow language that was taught to you?" She asked him. She never really had taught anyone anything but sword fighting and stuff like it, this was something new for her to do.

(Forgive the shortness of my post, I am in a hurry)

Master Ace - August 2, 2004 02:08 PM (GMT)
Master Ace sat down on a nearby bench and streched out his wings. He laid Antepode aside and returned his attention to Veronna. "Yes, but only the basics. common words and phrases. What is your name, How old are you, Where are you from, What do you do, How are you, ect," He repiled. (the equivalent of Drow 1 in high school) He then repeated the questions in Drow. He was off a little of some of the pronuctuations, but did fairly well for not speaking the language in a few years.
(That's okay. Ever once in a while we have promblems expanding the post. *pokes post*)

Veronna Darkblade - August 2, 2004 03:43 PM (GMT)
Veronna smiled as she listened to him say the words. "Pretty good," She said "Tell me if you understand what I am saying." She cleared her throat, "Ussta kaas zhah Veronna Darkblade, Usstan tlun l' quar'valsharess d' velven." She said in drow. She wasn't sure he would understand it, but it wasn't that hard a sentance to figure out.

It was weird, she was teaching a language that she had known all her life, a language not known by many, not including the drow people.

She started playing with her dagger, not knowing why, she wasn't very impressed by how it was made, and she was thinking about going and buying a new one.

Master Ace - August 5, 2004 07:29 PM (GMT)
Ace was glad to see her pleased with what he knew. When She asked him to translate her sentence he was immediately reminded of how Alorous always seemed to find the most complicted way to teach things. Magic, laguages, and arcane secrets were all taught to Ace by Alorous. 'If you can't do it the hard way You'll waste my time in teaching. If I teach you the hard way you will get a better hold of what you have learned,' Master Ace recalled his words. He abesent mindly juggled His dagger of celestial fire with his tail as he ran the words through his head. After a few seconds of thought Master Ace replied, "I am called Verrona Darkblade, I am Goddess of Blades." He wasn't sure of the last part. Alorous had never used those words before, so Master Ace decided to take an educated guess.

Veronna Darkblade - August 20, 2004 04:34 PM (GMT)
Veronna smiled, "Your quite good at this," she said "You got it mostly right, what I said was 'My name is Veronna Darkblade, I am the goddess of blades' but that's what you pretty much said." She looked down at the floor, trying to think of a way to teach him.

"Why don't we try a short conversation in Drow next?" she bit her bottom lip quickly, "Vendui," she said, "Xal Usstan joros vel'bol dosst kaas zhah?" She asked him. Ace seemed to remember quite a bit of Drow from his last teachings he had.

She wasn't sure how much she liked teaching this way, but she didn't have a clue about teaching someone, well that wasn't entirely true, she knew how to teach sparring.

Master Ace - August 20, 2004 06:53 PM (GMT)
"Siyo, dos xal. Ussta kaas zhah Ace Draconis," Master Ace replied. Ace noticed that this wasn't exactly the greatest thing in the world for Verronna. Somethings can be hard for one to teach even if they've known it all their life. Ace was feeling pretty confident with the Drow language. Alorous' teaching were hard to learn from, but also hard to forget. He picked up Antepode as he stood up and smiled,"Usstan xal naut tlu izil ulu kampi'un rilbol, drill ol zhah yugho ulu inbal natha an'kin xuil enthusiasm. Xun daewl ulu zao uns'aa ulu kl'ae nindol 'zil udos telanth?" He no idea how he said all of it, but was once again thankful for Alorous' harsh teachings.
