Shana lay on the beach of an island, her head throbbed quite painfully, and she wished for unconsiousness to overwhelm her again. her head did not hurt so much from the fall into the water that she had experianced after a storm took her by surprise, but from the thoughts that swirled around in it. She reluctantly opened her eyes, to the burning sun, her wings were tattered and torn from wind and water damage. Great! It'll take me ages to clean them up! What next?!?! She yelled to herself looking from one wing to another. She stood up, and began draging her fingers through her hair and wings, while kicking stones or shells as they came into her path.

As he was walking through the forest Verling heard a strange sound. Like someone kicking rocks. As he moved closer he was hit by a flying shell and fell to the ground. He immediately got up and steeped onto the path. When he looked up he was amazed to see an angel stanking there. He walked up to her and said "Hello, I do not believe I know your name. Mine is Verling. Nice to meet you. May I ask what yours is?"

Shana looked up at the man, noticing a red spot where he had been hit by a shell. Hello, my name is Shana, and I'm awfully sorry for hitting you like that, its just I've been having a really bad day... She sighed as she put her thoughts away for the moment. I have just arrived in this place so it is very understandable that you don't know me, but I am rally sorry for hitting you like that... She wanted to make sure that she appoligized because she didn't want to have any enemies in this new place.

Reaching up with his hand Verling felt the spot where the shell had hit. Then looking back at her he said "Do not worry I am fine. Realy no harm done. You say you are new here? I would be glad to show you around, that is if you would allow me to, and while we are at it we can take you to a nearby clinic. They can help you out with your wings."

She looked at this man, it was not like her to be sceptical, but he was just to nice, something had to be amiss, or she was just being paranoid. Thank you, that would be wonderful, but I can take care my wings on my own, don't take it personally, but I don't really like others playing aroud with, or touching my wings. She had never let any one, apart from her mother, to touch her wings. They were her only escape from the world and all its problems. She similed at him, forgeting her sceptisisim(sp?) towards him.

Verling looked at her strangly then replyed "Ok then as you wish. Come I will be more than happy to show you around. Would you like to visit the lake first or the villiage?"

Shana thought for a minute, then answered, Which eever you want to em it doesn't matter. She started walking then reslised she had no clue to where she was going, she turned and looked to him for directions to where ever they were going.

Verling wached her and said "Just keep following the path and youl run into the villiage eventualy. So while where wondering around do you have anything want to talk about. I mean this is your first time hear, you must have plenty of quistions to ask. I am all ears." When Verling was finished he thought to himself "Man that was a stupic thing to say. Hope she doesn't hate me. Why am I even asking her this? I usually don't want to talk at all."

SHe smiled back at him, showing her teeth, and brushing her fingers through her left wing and walking backwards. This is not the first time that I have been new to a place I have gotten quite used to finding out things on my own, it's actually really fun to find things in a new place, becuse ou never know what to expect! Its like being born again. She sighed, and then thought how corny that must have sounded. She turned to the path again looking at her surroundings, her wing looked somewhat deecent, so she started on her right wing now.

Verling watched her as they walked down the path. For some reason he began to feel the urge to clean his own wings, but since they where magic it didn't make much difference. To resist and keep his wings a secret Vering picked up a stick and began to play around with it in his fingers.

Shana was obsorbed in her grooming and didn't notice a rather large rock in her path, and tripped over it. The ground came rushing towards her intinctivly she spread her wings which were in no shape for that, but they did catch her and slow her dow so she could catch herself with her hands. She pushed herself up with some difficulty, and felt quite embarassed, but didn't know why. She brushed off her hands and continued her task of cleaning. I have one question about this place, that should be very easy to answer, what is it called? She was tired of the quietness, and wanted to talk about anything at all.

A whisper, a careless whisper lingered in the air. The path infront of them. Kli walked across the path, not knowing where she was going really. Kli didn't look the same though. Her red and black hair was now jet black and straight as can be, going to her elbows. Her eyes were a dark shade of grey, almost black. Her face looked even paler than normal as she walked. She was whispering to herself. This was surely not the same Kli. Kli stopped, eyes darting towards them in a quick reflex. It was Kli alright. The sweet red head with a smile now stood there expressionless with a dark face that showed a different side. This is why she was nuetral. She used to be kicked out of places all the time, she would try to kill. She never had a reason though. Her other personality, her other self, was the opposite of her yet the same exact thing. "It is named Imythess..." She said blankly with a stare.

Verling looked at her from a distance for a few minutes and said "Kli is something wrong? Your hair is black, and your skin is pale. What happened to you?"

"Do not insult Kil with calling her Kli!! Kli is good... Too good to be dark..." Kli said as her split personality. "I am Kil not Kli..." She whispered as if it was a secret. Her cold eyes looked to Verling and Shana. "You show her around I see?"

He did not know what was going on but he did know he could not let this strange form of Kli harm his knew friend. He drew his sword and called to her "Kli I do not wish to fight you. However if you come any closer I will attack."

Kli chuckled. "I will not harm your new friend..." She thought a moment. "Verling is it? Yes..." She said in a whisper. "See.. Since you don't really fear me... There is no.. Use for killing just yet..." She said with an evil smirk. "Fear is so powerful..."

Verling looked at Shana then back at Kli "You can't be serious. This isn't like you. Open your eyes Kli. What are you talking about. Fear is not powerful, it is simply an emmotion manipulated by the evil within you. Pull yourself together. Fight the evil within you."

"Why do you talk to kli? Kli fell asleep... Yes... She finally fell asleep... Bad bad dreams.." She said with a smirk, she looked as if evil was totally taken over. Kli's personalities had been split so throroghly(geeez.. I can't spell..) that if Kli ever fell asleep Kil would most likely take over. That's why she usually meditated. "I live off fear.." She said with a menacing whisper.

Verling sheathed his sword and said "Fine Kil. You say you live off of fear? Then why have you come? I do not fear you."

"I did not come for you.." She said.. She started to change to kli again and closed her eyes as her hair turned red.

Has her hair began to change Verling walked over to her and said "Kli are you back? Is it realy you?"

The same blue-ish grey eyes opened and looked at Verling and shana. "Back? Yeah.. I'm Kli which is pretty obvious.." She looked at her surroundings, eyes widened. She realized she had fell into sleep. "Great..." She muttered to herself.

Verling walked over and embraced her "It is good to have you back Kli." He said."

Kli stood there and blinked, not expecting that at all. She wriggled away. "I think I'm just going to meditate before I fall asleep.. Again.." She said. She walked to a secluded place and sat down crossing her legs indian style. She closed her eyes and rested.

Verling looked at her and said "Fall asleep again? I guess we wouldn't want that." Then looking at Shana he said "Ok I guess we should continue now."

Shana sood still as stone, not sure what to think of this girl, but then again, she had, had worse encounters, and even almost married a heartless murderer as i tturned out. She waved a shakey hand at to the girl, Nice meeting you! She smiled and tuned back to the trail. She turned to look at Verling. Well, she seemed nice enough, once she got control of herself. I've had days like that... She stopped a few seconds to think, then shuddered at the thought of some of the things that had made some of her bad days, even worse. She then continued walking.

As Verling continued walking he noticed her stop and asked "Is something wrong?"

Shana looked at him and smiled, Nothing, just thiking about some things that have happened, its a little blurry some of it...But that does come with age now doesn't it? She walked on and soon saw some roofs, some with little chimanies. She fluttered her wings and straightened the feathers, which almost looked like new again, and tied her hair back with a piece of thread.

As he saw the buildings in the distance Verling said "Well unless you would like me to show you around some more I am afraid our paths must split here. I was heading in the other direction and am now a few hours late. Is there something else you wanted me to show you before we part?"

SHana looked down at all the people, her wings were in no shape for flying, she frowned and sat on a nearby rock. I think I'll just sit here for a little while... She smiled as best she could at thtat moment. What would all those people think of me, espeacially since I don't have anything to hide my wings with? She still had a bunch of thoughts running around her head, and she just wanted to be able to tell the happy ones from the sad ones. She needed a little bit of rest, that was it, she looked to Verling. Thank you for showing me around a little, but i think I'll stay here for just a little while longer. She stretched her wings out and pulled them back in, and flapped them a couple of times, then tried to figure a way to get all the salt out of the feathers.

Verling looked at her and said "Well then, hopefully we will meet sometime in the future." As he walked away he could not help but think he was forgeting something. "Kelga" He thought. Then turning back towards her he said "Actually I think I will be staying in the villiage for a few hours. "That stupid dragon. couldn't he have followed me? Now we are going to be late."

Shana sat up completly straight,You have a dragon? She had owned a dragon before, and it was really nice and quite loyal, she had named it Fluffy, even though it was a skelatal dragon, and didn't even have skin. She loved them entirlyand thought they were a very wonderful creature. Then her old cats apperance came into her minds eye, she was now begining to miss her old pets again. However she knew they would be safe with her old friends.

Verling looked at her and said "Yes I do have a dragon. His name is Kelga. It would seem he has decided to remain in the villiage. Now I must find him. I do not know why he has done this but he is still very young. Just a hatchling actually. Now I must find him."

Shana stood up, knowing that if the people of the village would premit a dragon, they would have no trouble with an angel. I can help, if you don't mind that is... She looked at him hoping he would say yes, she needed to rest any way and the village was the closest thing there.

Verling looked towards the villiage and said "That would be great. Thank you, Lets start in the inn. We can get you a room that way."

Shana smilied, That would be good. She checked her feathers and gave them a little bit of a test flap to see how strong they were after the storm. They kicked up some dust and she left the ground for a second and fel back to her feet. Looks like the search will go a little faster then you might have thought if I can get off the ground. She looked to the village hoping she wouldn't attract strange looks from the people there.

Verling watched her fly up and then land. He said 'Well then thank you. I guess I will search the buildings while you search from the skies. While I am at it I will sign you in to the inn. Do not worry the people will not fear you.

Shana looked at him as she started the walk to the village, she turned to the road and saw a small familiar cat there. Dutchess?!? How in the world did you get here you little fur ball? She bent down and picked her up, seeing that the cat's fur was somewhat mangled and knotted. She was happy to see a familiar sight, but also worried about what might have followed it. Shana turned to Verling, Oh, yes this is Dutchess, she was my friend and compaion in another land, but it amazis me about how she got here! She continued down the road to the village.

Verling walked over and patted the duches head. Then walked to the inn. He checked Shana into a room and then checked the building for Kelga but could not find him. Next Verling went into the bar.

Shana walked out into the streets not wanting to go into the bar, it smelled as fowl as the alcahol tasted. She put Dutchess on the ground and bent down to her eys level. Ok, Dutchess we're looking for a dragon named Kelga, do you want to help? The cat looked back and nooded to her. Shana smiled and stood up, Just meow really loud if you see it, ok? With this Dutchess went running throught the crowds of people. Shana found a laddar by a house that led up to its roof, she climbed without hessitation. She looked for anything sticking out of the crowds.
