Jeff searches the Magic-related area ((Which is ratehr large, considering this is the Academy of Magic)) and settles on a book. He opens ti to a spell he thinks interesting, and casts the spell upon a feather.

Instead of levitating as it should have, the feather explodes into a green ball of flame. "Uh... Help?" he says, before it catches the heavily laquered table on fire and quickly spreads the the carpet. Refrainign from looking for a spell to put it ou.t He calls fro herlp. His pixie andwisp try to put out the flme, and his baby Pseudodragon cries.

A tall man comparied to the pixi walks in and utters a couple of words and the fire goes out. Then he turns to him and says "you need to be more carful when you cast a levitaing spell. There is one word in the spell that can accidentaly cast the fire instead of the leviatating spell."

((He's short... Nopt pixie-ish. He's half faerie size, he /owns/ a pixie)) Jeff takes a deep breath and calms his pseudodragon "Right the word is 'lorr z'hin', and I said 'drii triall' ; It's very important as to what language you use. Apparentlky, Sindaring and Drow aren't even close. Well, I'd better practice some more. Thanks though." he pours sand over the dying flames. He looks around for a book that would help with the mess, and finds it. Repariing it, the carpet's ashes mend themselves back nito fibes, whch spin themself back nito rug. It';s only slightly discolored. The table has been so badly dqmaged, it has to be thrown out, and the book is scorched to oblivion.

he looked down at the little creture and said "if not any thing else you are good a mending carpets" he laughs "my name is Mitranduir whats yours?"

Master Ace got there as quickly as could after he saw smoke rise above one of the many towering bookcases. He was glad to see that what ever the problem was it seemed to be tooken care of. He notice Jeff and Mitranduir after he came around the book case. Neither of the two looked familiar. He wondered if they would be joining his class. "Is there a problem over here?" he asked the two.

he didnt reconize the man and said "Do you work here? and there is no problem I will pay for the damages. My name is Mithranduir and this is Jeff what is your name?"

"I am Master Ace. It is a pleasure to meet both of you. It looks like damages will be easily fixed and there is no need to pay for it. I don't look like it, but I'm a magister here with my own class" Master Ace replied as he looked from Mithranduir to Jeff to the rug.

He circled Master Ace a few time and then remarked "How much is it to learn from you? do you know a store nearby where i can buy some materials and wepons?

Jeff looked up and gave a nervous laugh"Ehheh... ehheh..." If it was a cartoon, you would see a sweatdrop beading. ((^.^''''))

"I... uh.... I set the place on fire.... Messy little spell, levitation is..." he trails off, trying to think of a suitable excuse for his accident. Giving up he says, "Actually, yes. I'm in one of your classes soon... I just came here to leanr something." he puts stress on the word something. He sighs deeply. His pixie floats about "Jeff! Must I always keep your from ingrates! Yuo always find yourself in such odd company! What with that horrible Drow woman, what was her name, Veronna? And now THIS guy?" she casts a threatening looks at Master Ace.

Jeff looks ready to throw her in the lake with a brick tied to her leg. "Alyshund. This is my teacher. I advise you to be nice, or you will fiun more than your wings taken off next time. Am. I. Clear.?"

Alyshund frowns and goes back nito her personal corner of Jeff's backpack, where she's mad a den of a few nuts, berries, a few pieces of cloth, and Jeff's Bag of gold.

Master Ace teleported beside Mithranduir. "There is much to learn from me. I don't pay too much attention to weapon shops, so I don't know. Look around and you'll find one sooner or later," he replied to Mithranduir. Master Ace then turned to Jeff. "No worries, There was no real harm done. Just don't do it again. I hope to see you in my class soon. The other teachers will be starting their own classes soon. What spells are you interested in?" Master Ace said smiling.

I'm personally interested in protective spells, for defending myself. But I have Linthar Sree'naur if it really comes to a dire situation. I prefer to keep away from Bloodshed. I defend truth and justice, the whole thing. You know, bad gone good, whatever you want to call it. I'm personally tempted to go into Dark Wizardry, but I've been reconsidering. There are plenty of benefits to all types of knowledge, therefore I'm putting forth a tremendous effort to learn anything I can. Right now I'm consentrating on Basic Spellwork... which I'm not good at..." he indcated the scorched pile of rubble that was once a library table.

He sighs deeply and sits on a chair "I don't really know what to do with myself... "

"It is okay if you don't know what kind of magic you want to learn or even if wish too learn some of all spell types, as do I. Let's not use the library to practice your spells, Okay. If you want I have some spare time and can teach you some magic eleswhere," Master Ace said hoping to brighten Jeff's day. He was going to use this time to look up a little on Lim Dul, but that could wait till later. Jeff seemed in need of some company besides his familiars.

He said to Master Ace "May I learn from you? I am trying to get a archmage level 1 seal but I dont have many spells please help me."

"Sure, I suppose I could give both of you a lesson. Where are we going to have this lesson? You two are a bit too far behind to join my class," Master ace said with a smile. He scratched the back of his head. He looked from Jeff to Mithranduir and waited for an answer.

"I am a quick study and eager to learn" he replied.

I suppose any time is good, as I won't be gonig anywhere for a while, I've enrolled to stay at the dormitories. I think you're right. It took me a while to learn a simple polymorph spell. But I can come any time you'd like. He sighs deeply. The person he was talking to couldn't be more than 14, younger than he. He thought himself pitiful for never practicing before... he was cast away. But there wwas no time for that. The War was coming, and he had to learn to defend himself.

"I suppose if you head off to Ebon plains I can meet you there. I have a few things to handle here first.," Master Ace said as he loooked back at the rug. He found it stange that he was so young and had yet to teach magic to some one younger than himself. Master Ace turned to the bookcase and looked through the books on the shelves wondering if he could find anything on Lim Dul, the necromancer.

He replied "Ok I will mee you there."
