Title: Searching and Note Taking

Mirazhe - July 7, 2004 10:18 PM (GMT)
Mirazhe slipped in to the library on silent and strangely bare feet. Normally she would be wearing boots or shoes, at least sandals but at the moment her feet were indeed bare. It wasn’t like anyone was going to be here this late at night; at least she hoped so. So she hadn’t seen the need to ‘dress up’. Her hair was merely pulled back in a ponytail. Her clothing was simple; a loose, white cotton sleeveless dress with a gray belt resting on her hips that held her daggers. She hadn’t planned on coming here but after talking with a few others she had decided the Academy’s library needed a visit. It should have something to help her in her search.

As good as her sight was in the dark, she couldn’t make out all of the book titles; especially the ones on the top shelves. With a soft muttered word she conjured up a ball of light to help her.
“Much better,” she whispered as she began to pull down a few books; all of them on magical weapons and poison. Two titles, ‘Magical Herbs and Their Properties’ and ‘A world of Magical Herbs’, along with a few books on earth magic caught her eye farther down the shelf. She retrieved all the volumes before locating an empty table. She placed her ball of mage-light directly above the table and increased its strength before settling down in one of the chairs and starting to read.

“Paper,” she suddenly stated aloud when she looked up. Her green hazel gaze skimmed over the library until it focused on the backpack she had left resting by the library doors. Her eyes briefly flared gold as she lifted the pack and brought it to her table using telekinesis. “Aha!” She grinned triumphantly as she pulled a small brown, leather-bound book out of the pack along with a quill and a bottle of green ink. She flipped open her book to an empty page, dipped her quill into the green ink and then began to take down her notes.

“The Poisoned Swords are forged with the very poison in the metal,” she read aloud though softly, as she copied it down. “After wounding someone, they get affected by a strong poison that usually kills within 30 minutes or less unless treated.” Her quill paused above the page as she quickly scanned down the passage in the magical weapons book she was taking notes from.
“Now where can I find what you need to treat the wound with and repel the poison?” She asked the air, absently tapping the table with a finger.

Kli walked into the library. Soft, swift feet pattered against the ground like a light spring rain. She felt the cold air of the library on her skin as she walked quickly to the shelves of books. Her red, curly hair was wild and looked as if it hadn't been brushed in months. Her white, simple dress was covered in mud.

In fact, no one had seen her for almost a year. Some thought she was dead, some thought she was hiding, but no one really knew. She put on an old brown cloak that had many holes on the bottom of it. She was quiet, as if she was not to be noticed. Her eyes wandered, wondering if anyone was in here. She didn't want any trouble, she wasn't the type to want trouble. She walked through the library and stopped, seeing a large book. She climbed the ladder, picking up the large book.

The book was a maroon color, old, dusty, and you could see it was quite ancient. She wasn't much on strength and fell backwards to the floor, making a loud bang that echoed through the library. She winced struggling to get up. She got the book off of her and got up, picking up the book and staggering to a table where she could look at it. She sat down and opened it up.
