Title: The 15 year old teacher
Description: Get ready for field trips

Master Ace - July 6, 2004 12:36 AM (GMT)
Master had plenty of time to fix up the old room. It was hard work, but it was something to do. He knew the class would not be in here too much, but he was REALLY bored and tired of waiting in such a boring place. He wondered how many students he would have that were more than twice his age. Master Ace's skill were few but his talent had definately gotten him the job. He wonder if Zorgn would also be taking his class. The fight with Zorgn had immpressed the people in charge of the Academy. They said He would a nice addition to the team. Ace would have to wait until he had more control before he had the class dueling or dueled with the students. Master was sending magic missiles at an empty desk as he heard the door creak open.

Kore Takamura - July 6, 2004 07:56 PM (GMT)
*Kore's head popped up from the creaking door. Looking inside, he looked confused as he only saw the teacher in the room. Slowly walking in, he put his hands on his chaos sword and his two handed sword to not make much noise. He cleared his throat, looking at the teacher* Excuse me, but will you be the teacher for the beginners? I was told I used to know magic, but after that war, all my training was in vein, for I cannot even remember a simple magic missile. I'm here for tutelage, and I hope you can help me achieve what it is that I yearn to get back.

Master Ace - July 6, 2004 08:16 PM (GMT)
"Wow, A student! He doesn't look much older than me, yet he talks of a war and loosing spells. He doesn't look like one who will cause any problems. Now I just need a few more people and we can get started." Master Ace thought to himself as he looked at his new student. "I teach more than just beginners, but you'll do well I'm sure. Take a seat and tell me what you know about yourself. Once we have a few more students I will teach the spell needed for our first field trip," Master Ace said as he played with his pixie.

Kore Takamura - July 6, 2004 10:22 PM (GMT)
*With the teacher's reaction, it brought a smile to his face. He needed someone to help him, and this guy seemed like the person to do the job. He picked a seat in the middle of the classrom, then sat down. With a few quick movements, Kore took his Blade of chaos and his two-handed sword off and placed it on the other seat.* I have a question, is there somewhere here where I can put my weapons till the class ends and would you know which spells we are learning? For I will be purchasing the holy, unholy, and elemental spellbooks soon. I just have to go work for more of it, that's all.

Zorgn - July 7, 2004 12:16 AM (GMT)
Zorgn had heard that Ace was going to be teaching here, so he decided to stop by. Easing the door open, the vampire walked into the room and sat at a desk. Grinning, he spoke for a moment, "I heard a rumor that you had got hold of a Magister's job. I guess that that wasn't a rumor, eh?" He probed the room with Telepathy, searching for a hint of agression that would mean it was time for Zorgn to run.

Kore Takamura - July 7, 2004 04:50 AM (GMT)
Looking at the vampire that walked in, he was curious as to who he was.--its been a while since I've seen one like him before...ever since I re-animated one that is...--He let out a soft laugh, then looked around to see if anyone was looking at him* Heh, yeah, so who're you? You obviously know the teacher, and probably the class, what kind of things are we going to be doing?

Master Ace - July 7, 2004 01:07 PM (GMT)
Master Ace could feel the spell probing the room and did not intend to let it continue much longer. "Well that means that we can't go to the desert," Master Ace thought as he dispelled Zorgn's telepathy. "And now I know my class will not be boring! Zorgn will you be joining my class, if so take a seat and tell my new student a little about yourself. Once we get one more person we will begin class," He said as he smiled to Zorgn. Master Ace then turned to Kore and said to him, "Your sword will be fine where it is, this classroom is too big for our small class size. You don't need a spellbook but if you must have one get a general spellbook. We will be covering many different spells for where we need to go. Don't worry too much about Zorgn, he likes to think of himself as better than he really is. Don't worry he won't bite (Master Ace laughed as he said the pun). We were going to the desert, but I don't think a vampire could handle walking around all day at far more risk than ever one else, but not to worry I have another place planned depending on who comes through the door next." He wondered how well Zorgn could get along with Kore. Zorgn atleast seemed to know not to harm his classmates during class.

Zorgn - July 7, 2004 01:35 PM (GMT)
Ace was right with that one. Zorgn didn't mess around in class. Zorgn spoke to Ace, "So I'm an arrogant little Vampire." Zorgn turned to the Kore and spoke, "Ace and I had a little duel a while back in another class here. He decided to turn himself into a Simi-dragon. In the end, he fainted and I fell asleep right after that." Zorgn wispered to Kore, "Something is strange, he seems to have two people in his head. Very strange." Zorgn turned and sat back in his desk. He didn't use Telepathy anymore since Ace had dispelled his spell.

Master Ace - July 7, 2004 03:38 PM (GMT)
"I said tell him about yourself not about me. But while we are on the subject, I am a Half-Dragon," Master Ace returned softly. He wondered if he should tell more about himself, but decided not to. He was glad to notice that Zorgn had not recasted telepathy. "We are going to need to learn to work as a team. We are going to some pretty dangerous places and will meet many hazards," Master Ace said to both of them.

Zorgn - July 7, 2004 03:45 PM (GMT)
Zorgn was a little annoyed that he'd messed up, but he shook it off. "Ok. Well, I'm a Vampire Necromancer followed by a crazy wisp and a stinking pixie. There's not much more to say." Zorgn's wisp zoomed through the door, followed closely by the pixie. The wisp was throwing knives everywhere and the pixie started repeating everything Zorgn had just said. "There's the whole crew for ya." "There's the whole crew for ya."

Kore Takamura - July 7, 2004 04:29 PM (GMT)
*he looks at how Zorgn's pixie won't leave him alone and suppressed a laugh. Hearing the other pixie, his finally decided to come out of hiding--from his left pocket. Looking at his pixie, he smiled as it sat on his finger that he held out* See, you're problem is that you gotta show them affection for them to even show a little niceness to you. Me, I'm a ex-necromancer, present-day warrior who's trying to regain what memory he's lost and become what he once was, this time with nifty sword and a loyal Nightmare, instead of a halberd and an undead attack dog.

Master Ace - July 7, 2004 04:54 PM (GMT)
"Well my pixie is a pain in the butt and I show her a lot of affection. She's asleep now, thank goodness," Master Ace said as soon as Kore had finished. "Well it looks like you two will get along ok. I hope our next student comes soon," Master Ace said to both of them. "Are you still interested in necromatic spells?" He asked Kore. He scratched his head as thught to himself, " I wonder if telepathy could be used to go deep in his mind. It would not be an easy process, but it would be worth the try. I'll have to remember to get that spell later on."

Kore Takamura - July 7, 2004 06:10 PM (GMT)
*he nodded his head, then clenched his fist* For half of my life, I studied the arts of necromancy with one of the greatest....the lich name Lim Dul. Now, my powers were the only thing that I had to remember him by....I will not let a battle destroy that memory....I will regain it.*his pixie fluttered around, looking a bit concerned at Kore's mood. It then got scared and retreated to behind Master Ace.*...I'm sorry....its just that I cherished those powers and I need them back....

Chocklure - July 7, 2004 07:21 PM (GMT)
Chocklure knocked on the door twice, then entered, not waiting for a response. As he stepped through the door, he took his first look at the others in the room. The door clicked softly shut.

He waves to Master Ace, "Ah, I've been looking for you. I heard about your class and I was itching to learn some spells as I've not learned any yet."

Chocklure cautiously looks around the room and takes in every detail. (He's not an Elf for nothing, you know!) "Hmm..." He looks at the vampire in a curious way. "You there," he says, pointing at the vampire, "what are you? What are you doing here?"

"Nevermind my questions. I don't want your answers." Chocklure adds quickly. A terrified expression comes over his face.

"I've not introduced myself! I'm Chocklure. The ones who know me call me Chock." He walks over to the two near the desks and shakes their hands.

Chock turns to Master Ace. "Well, teacher, what spells will be studying? I'm especially interested in Thunder. Don't ask me why I'm interested in it, for it pains me to tell."

"I don't have a spellbook either. Or the money enough to buy one for that matter. I hope this doesn't change anything." Explains Chocklure.

Chocklure decides to sit down in the nearest unoccupied desk and waits for Master Ace's reply.

Master Ace - July 7, 2004 08:04 PM (GMT)
"UHh... What a mouth full. He would definately cause. I'll have to keep a close eye on him. I'll have let the next feild trip be for him," he thought to himself. "Don't worry Chocklure, he is here to learn as you are. You will have to learn to trust him. Our first feild trip will be to the haunted marsh. All of you will learn animate undead and a few more necromatic spells. Sorry, Chocklure will get to spells you want later," He said as he noticed he class that he could start to work with. "Zorgn could you give us an example," he asked as he tossed a bag on to the floor in front of his desk. Inside of the bag was the body of a dead bird. He knew Zorgn would love this opportunity to use his spell. (You will buy have to buy animate dead if you do not have it. Animate Dead-95 gold)

Zin - July 7, 2004 08:42 PM (GMT)
Zin ducked in the door, taking a seat, and noticed class had already begun.

She had scoffed at the idea of coming to this school at first, but then again...it couldn't hurt to see what they were teaching...She dropped into an empty seat, and rested her head on one hand, her mouth drawn into a thin line.

The expression on her face was hinting at a severe disdain, and she didn't care to hide it.

She would of simply gone off to practice on her own, but she decided to see what some others could do, and what spells they had as well.

Her ears twitched, and she glanced around the room, noticing that several of those in it had visible wings. She paled slightly at this, a look of pain on her face. She'd heard those things hurt to get. She heard they hurt a great deal...

Master Ace - July 7, 2004 09:07 PM (GMT)
"Another student. Why don't you introduce yourself while Zorgn demonstrates the first spell we will learn, animate undead. Once I think every one is prepared, we will head out to the Haunted Marsh and apply the spells we have learned," He said after noticing the new student. "Wow this class is growing, but that also means it is going to be harder to controll," he thought to himself.

Selena Starling - July 7, 2004 09:54 PM (GMT)
Selena quickly snuck inside the classroom, sitting down in a desk closest to the door, hoping no one would notice she had just come in.

Chocklure - July 7, 2004 10:17 PM (GMT)
Chocklure's honed sense of hearing alearts him to a nearly silent shuffling noise near the door. Then a low squeak as a light body is lowered into a desk.

Chocklure spins around in his seat and catches sight of a small frame. This little woman perched in a desk near the door. Chockure gives a slight motion trying to tell her, without using sound, that he'd not tell the others she was there.

Zin - July 7, 2004 10:42 PM (GMT)
"Uh..." Zin looked up, staring at the teacher for a moment. "Zin." She murmured. "I'm Zin."

She moved her hand absently listing off a few simple facts. "I'm a Half-elf. I'm bent on learning all the spells I possibly can. I want to be the greatest archmage there ever was." Her wisp slipped out of her pocket and proceeded to attempt to smother her. She tore it from her face and flung it to the other side of the room. "That is The Wisp. It is also called Fade Out."

Fade Out returned, and sat on her head, seemingly asleep. "I think it's insane, it tries to kill me, then sleeps on my head, or tries to keep me safe." She scowled. "I need a cage for it..."

She paused then took the Wisp, and shoved it into her pocket, a small snapping sound was heard, as she yanked her hand out, blood dripping from a small cut on her pointer finger. "Little blighter." She hissed coldly.

"I already know Magic Missle, Bull's Strength, Light, Find Familiar, and Cloak of Dark Power." She closed her eyes, absently sucking on the cut, in an effort to get it to heal up a little.

Zorgn - July 8, 2004 12:53 AM (GMT)
Zorgn grinned and stood up. "Moving into necromancy, eh? I'm gald I'm here then. Do you have anything special you want done with the body?" Zorgn decided he'd raise the body while he waited for an awnser. He did a series of complex hand movements and then pointed at the bag. The bag twitched, and then a rotting sparrow shuffled out of the bag. Zorgn tried to get the zombie to fly, but when it flapped it's wings, one of them fell off. He turned to the class and said, "No flying for that one. Anyone have a question?"

Kore Takamura - July 8, 2004 02:25 PM (GMT)
*he looked at them cautiously. Not only was Kore new to the class, he was new to this country. He barely knew anyone and everyone seemed to know eachother. It was odd and it kinda spooked him some, to know that he was all alone.....again. He scanned the room, checking ot see who was there. There was the teacher who was half-dragon, that vampire, a female teacher who was just stopping by obvioiusly, a half-elf, an elf, and a bunch of rowdy wisps and pixies. He was a little bit intimidated by how talkative everyone else was, and disappointed because he knew not of what they talked about, so he just kept quiet and sank lower into his seat, just waiting to learn the spells

((ooc: Do I have to buy that single spell? I've been saving up to buy a whole bunch of them...unless I have to buy animate dead and just buy the rest later...))

Master Ace - July 8, 2004 02:27 PM (GMT)
"I think we have a big class now.I'm glad I have enough dead bodies for everybody. Even a magister wishes to join my class. Or is she just keeping an eye on me? Oh, my! I have forgotten to introduce myself how rude," he thought to himself. "I am Master Ace. Besides forgetting to proberly inrtoduce myself I have also forgotten to tell you the simple spells we wil need for all our trips. Find familiar and Light, these spells will help in the event that you get lost from the group. For find familiar to work, you must have a "pet". Summons won't work, but pixie's and wisp's will. I am sorry for those of you who do not wish to learn necromatic spells, but we will have other feild trips. In addition to Animate dead, which was wonderful displayed by Zorgn, we will learn detect undead. Those who are ahead will help the other students," he said as he stood up. "Now Zorgn try to go through the movements slowly this time and remember that the rest of the class would benifit from hearing the words," he said as he turned to Zorgn. (Light-20 is optional, but you must buy Find familiar-20 and detect undead-20 in additon to Animate undead-95. Grand total of 135 or 155. We are still rping like you are learning them in calss not buying them.)

Kore Takamura - July 8, 2004 02:43 PM (GMT)
*he looked at the teacher as he listed the spells they were to learn.* Excuse me mister, but I have a horse, which is tied down outside class. Do I need find familiar if I'm to be riding him most of the time throughout the trip. Besides, when he feels alone and lost, Kamahl usually breathes fire....and I think fire works good at finding him...*he laughed nervously as his comment, but the spell light was not what he wanted to learn...but I guess if he has to, then he has no choice. Sitting even further back in his chair, he was ready for the trip and whatever spells he was to learn.*

Chocklure - July 8, 2004 03:01 PM (GMT)
"Well, teacher, I'm looking forward to learning these new spells of which you have spoken," Chockure said sitting up in his desk, "even if they aren't of the Thunder Element."

Chockure sits back in his desk and turns and stares out the window. He sees a large cloud of blackness rising over the vivid blue of the afternoon sky.

Hmm... A storm is brewing. I wonder if it'll reach here.

Zin - July 8, 2004 04:41 PM (GMT)
Zin scowled. "Why aren't we learning any destructive spells?" The scowl vanished, plunging her face into neutrility, except for her eyes.

Her eyes burned with a unhinged ferocity and savegry, a determination that was hard to dispell. "Sure, you could use light to blind someone, but what's the point? It'd wear off eventually, and you'd have a real ticked enemy to deal with then!" She continued, in a drab monotone, "I can see how they could be useful....but one of the real questions I have is so: What's the point of having a rotting corpse at your bidding? I mean, really! In all likelihood, it'll fall apart in a fight!"

"Some familiars are absolutley useless, and might just try to kill off their owners!" She glanced at her wisp, "That little blighter in particular."

Zorgn - July 8, 2004 04:54 PM (GMT)
Zorgn turned to the one who had spoken and said, "One zombie is not good for much besides slowing someone down. The idea is to get many zombies to fight for you." Zorgn's wisp conjured up a zombie illusion while his pixie floated behind it and made noises, "Booga- Booga! I come to eat your brain!" Zorgn tried to ignore the illusion and distracting sounds. "Ok, with the words this time..." Zorgn slowly went over the movements of the spell and said the words loudly, so all the class could hear.

(O.O.C. - I do not know any good words for the spell. Can we move on now, Ace?)

Kore Takamura - July 8, 2004 06:59 PM (GMT)
*he thought to himself as they argued--finally, a topic that I shine in....death-- he laughed as they argued with eachother. Pulling himself out of his seat, he stood up and walked to the front of the class, in front of the teacher.* Excuse me Master Ace, I will explain the benefits of raising the dead to do your bidding. *he looked out to the rest of the class* Now, Zorgn is partially right. Yes, undead minions slow down your opponent so you can prepare more time-consuming spells, but what he failed to discuss that each corpse is different. Say if Zorgn for some reason died, then I raised him as an undead minion. He will still be the vampire he is now which means he will retain all his supernatural strength that he was granted as a vampire, but his only reactions would be to satisfy only his most carnal instincts...to feed. A reanimated corpse's only objective is to quelch its never ending thirst. Without sustenance, it will wither away and die. That is why you need control dead, detect undead, halt undead, and speak with dead to have a full control over your undead. They will listen to their master without question....only if their master can successfully control them. If you ever lose control, always have something handy to dispatch of them to prevent yourself from becoming just another meal.*he took a deep breathe and looked around to see their response* Well, any questions?

Master Ace - July 8, 2004 07:30 PM (GMT)
After Zorgn had once again demonstrated how to cast the spell, He pulled several small foul-smelling bags. He reached one of the small bags and put a small dead rat on everyones desk. "You can't learn a spell by just observing so now we are going to go through the motions as Zorgn continues to cast this spell. It may take a while to master the spell, but you should be able to animate the rats. I will begin to teach destructive spells to those who quickly learn this spell and the others," Master Ace says to the class. He then turns to Zin and replies, "With a Vampire in the class do you we will be traveling in broad daylight. It will be dark so light would be useful if you get lost. Find familar allows find your famliar which will be tring to kill off me rather than you, thus if you get lost you can find your way to me. Once animate undead is truly mastered you can do more the create zombies and skeletons. I'll have to remember to give you an example while we are there." He smiled as he thought of the activties that would take place in the marsh. (Zorgn I just was thinking that you use silent spell so much... I wasn't expecting to to make words for it.)

Zin - July 8, 2004 08:07 PM (GMT)
Zin looked at the mouse with automatic disgust. She'd never had a love of dead things or rats in the first place. She concentrated on the spell she'd seen demonstrated, remembering the words and movements, and commiting them to memory, and her lips pressed into a thin line of disdain on their own accord. 'I can't believe I have to learn this spell...'

She shook her hed slightly, tossing off the annoyance, and finished commiting the words to memory. She began memorizing the movements. She completed this, and attempted the spell, and was even more annoyed when she found it failed.

This annoyance however was tested by Zorgon's Wisp and Pixie team of terror. They succeeded in getting a smirk from at least one of the students, and Zin could barely hold back a snicker.

She quickly regained control, her face falling into a blank expression. "Then the risk would be rather annoying, would it not? I mean, your minions could break free of your control at any time, if they have enough power, or if you are without much strength in the area of spellcasting and such."

She looked at the teacher. "And I was speaking of ways the spells could be used in battle, not traveling and such."

Zorgn - July 8, 2004 09:35 PM (GMT)
Zorgn kept up going through the spell. He was getting a bit annoyed that he was sitting up in front of the class going through this spell. Zorgn thought most of the lass had got it, so he cast Claws of Darkness and began skinning a dead rat. He was in the mood to raise a skeleton. Zorgn released his Claws of Darkness spell and cast Animate Dead. After he cast the spell, he took some leather he had stored in a pocket and began binding the rat's joints with leather. The zombies had a bad habit of falling apart if thier joints weren't properly taken care of.

Master Ace - July 8, 2004 10:44 PM (GMT)
"Not everyone will get the spell down with the first try," he said after seeing Zin's failure. "As Zorgn has shown there are different types of undead. The undead we are creating, zombies and skeletons, will have no minds and obey the command of the caster. Creating intelligent undead is harder and is not we are what we are going for. Creating intelligent undead does have those risks as they have minds of their own. Kore was partially correct in his explanation. Zorgn, as a vampire only has a few ways he can "die", but after that he can't really be brought back. If You were to die we could bring you back as an undead though. After our field trip you may learn how to use the spells in battle, but not all spells are to be used in battle." He replied to Zin. Master Ace pulled a freshly killed hawk from a bag. He animated it and had it fly about the room. "Zin and Chucklore will be the only ones to cause a problem. I suppose they will shappen up before we go on the trip. They seem to be getting this spell pretty well. We'll move on to the next spell in a little bit," He thought to himself as his zombie hawk clumsly flew around the room.

Zin - July 9, 2004 01:37 AM (GMT)
"Hn..." Zin looked around speculatively, not seeing Fade Out. She sighed. "I can demonstrate Find Familiar, seeing as my familiar is currently in need of being found." She tried the spell again, and the rat seemed to move slightly.

She was pleased that she was at least making progress.

((Getting Animate dead today, detect undead as well, if I'm lucky enough and get some posts done..))

Chocklure - July 9, 2004 12:19 PM (GMT)
Chocklure, who had, by this time, removed his glance from the window, attempted to animate the dead rat that lay on his desk. The rat continued to lay absolutely still. Not wanting to feel a complete fool, Chocklure prodded the rat with a quick finger.

"Hey! My rat moved! Pretty cool, huh?" Chocklure exclaims in a false manner.

He bends is mind toward the rat and attempts Animate Undead once again. This time the rat still laid perfectly still.

"Hehe. I guess that one didn't work this time, eh?" Chocklure grinned sheepishly.

Chocklure tries to focus all his mind in bringing his rat back to the living world, be it undead or not, he just wanted it to move on its own. He poured all he could into making the spell work and, to his great astonishment, he rat rolled over on its own and stood on his desk. The rat then took a few looks around and made headway straight toward Chocklure's pencil and bit the eraser clean off in one CHOMP.

"Eh, Master Ace? I think I need a new pencil..." Chocklure says to the teacher.

(OOC: I posted to purchase Find Familiar and Detect Undead earlier this morning. I'll get Animate Undead when I save up enough money.)

Kore Takamura - July 9, 2004 12:34 PM (GMT)
*looking at the rat he had in front of him, he thought for a moment when they were complaining how the zombies would fall apart. Looking at how the other people did the spell, he began remembering how his magic was similar to theirs. He put his hands in the proper position then spoke the incantation, and nothing happened.

Getting slightly irritated, he again tried the spell...this time with he moved closer to the dead rat, but the rat just laid there lifeless. Getting very annoyed Kore's eye's began to fade to a jet black, and you could see the blood in his veins darkening.
At this point, Kore went into a dream-like state, his eyes wide open. He drifted back to when he commanded the undead. He saw his master Lim Dul showing him animate dead for the first time. The position of the hands were different and he had muttered a different incantation. After a few attempts, Kore succeeded. He was jumping for joy and that's when he woke up.*

Master.....thank you....I now know the way....*he looked at the dead rat, and felt he needed to have fun with it. Grabbing his blade, he sliced the mouse to the bone, then spun the rat, to get the cut evenly around the animal. He then placed the sword against his chair, then placed his hands on the rat. With a tug and a pull, he tore the skin and bones straight from this rat, leaving only organs which came out accordingly. Looking at the remaining skeleton of the rat he stood straight.

By this time his eyes were consumed by blackness, and you could see faint traces of energy flowing through them. His fists were clenched and he was ready perform his master's version of the spell, and hopefully the teacher wouldn't yell at him for it. He placed his hands above the skeleton in a wierd fashion, muttered his own incantation which seemed not of this time. The words flowed through his mouth a bit choppy, but correctly.* Vymmah, neca vnus ouin cmispan! Pyddma taydr yht canja sa vunajan! Drnuikr rytac oui sicd dnyjam, tynghacc ec ouin uhmo vneaht. Veht drec jaccam yht aqyld dra najahka ouin sycdan ryc bmyhhat!((Fallen, rise from your slumber! Battle death and serve me forever! Through hades you must travel, darkness is your only friend. Find this vessel and exact the revenge your master has planned!))

*After he spoke his words, the energy that seemed to be in his veins began flowing from his fingertips. These tendrils of energy sought for his target and was absorbed by the bones on the rat. After a while, the tendrils retreated, his veins lost their black color, and the energy stopped showing in his eyes. The skeleton glowed a mysterious dark purple color before it began to twich. Slowly, the rat began to move from the place it was put. Making sure the rat didn't scurry off anywhere, he spoke aloud to the creature* Stop! *Hearing this, the rat became motionless. Kore was intent on enslaving this bag of bones, so he needed his full attention.*

Chocklure - July 9, 2004 12:54 PM (GMT)
Chocklure, who had his pencil in his hand showing it to Master Ace, jumped out of his desk at this time and proceeded to jump over the one to his left, moving farther away from Kore. From afar, Chockure used his pencil and poked Kore's skeletal rat in its skeletal face. The lead of the pencil made a slight gray mark on the rat's bloody white snout.

Chocklure then peered at the rat, changed his glance to Kore, and then back to the rat. He stood straight up and pulled his rat from his desk to try and keep it from the other, skeletal rat.

"That's some freaky stuff, Kore! What the heck was that? Ain't it supposed to have skin? tendons? muscle?" Shouted Chocklure, completely terrifyed.

(OOC: Chocklure is from the forest, remember? He's never seen a walking skeleton of anything let alone anything like the rat he animated.)

"Master Ace, don't let me be his partner for anything. Please?" Chocklure begged the teacher.

Master Ace - July 9, 2004 01:20 PM (GMT)
Master flew his Zombie bird back to his desk."I'll have to keep my eyes on Kore after all, and prehaps see if I can find something about this Lim Dul in the library," he thought to himself after Draco had sent Master Ace Kore's thoughts. For once Draco was reading minds and not spaming them with his own random thoughts. Seeing that every one had the spell cast properly Master Ace decided to move on. "Good work everyone. You can set your undead rats aside because now we will move onto Find familiar. It is a very simple spell and most of you will get it with the first try. If you have no pet then it will also work on the undead you have created," he said as he attempted to wake Trixie up. "Hey! I was sleeping you know! Oh it's time for me to hide, gottcha," Trixie yelled as she woke up. Master Ace turned around and Trixie flew around the room. She stopped over by Chocklure and hid in his packpack. Master Ace slowy casted the spell so every one could see. Without turning around he said, "Alright Trixie, you can get out of Chocklure's bag." Trixie replied, "I can't ever win a game of hide and seek!" After Trixie flew back to his desk, he said, "Now it is your turn. You may have your wisps and pixies hide around the room first."

Chocklure - July 9, 2004 04:03 PM (GMT)
Chocklure's long, pointy Elf ears perked up at the mentioning of Find Familiar.

"Oh! I like this one. But, I don't know how to use it... I'll try to copy what you just did, teacher." Chocklure said.

Chocklure then turned his attention to the undead rat rolling around on his new desk, two away from Kore and his skeletal rat.

"OK, rat! Hmm, I think I'll give ya a name. How about... Hmm... Oh, I don't know. How about Rags?"

With this comment, the undead rat stopped rolling around and sat straight up and stared at Chocklure.

"Hmm, it seems you like that name." said an excited Chocklure. "OK, Rags. Now you need to go hide somewhere and I'll try to find you with the Find Familiar spell."

Chocklure gets out of his desk and turns his back on the undead rat, which was now scampering off to hide under the teacher's desk. Chocklure tries to recreate the spell that Master Ace used.

"OK, Rags! Ready or not, here I come!" Chocklure states in a firm tone.

Chocklure turns around and looks around the room. Hmm... Find Familiar says he's in the trash can. Chocklure walks over to the trash can near the door and looks in.

Huh? Only a few crumpled up peices of paper... I'll try it again.

Chocklure tries the spell again. Hmm... Now it says he's on the teacher's desk He walks over to the teacher's desk and takes a look around on top of it. Not here?

"One more time," Chockure mumbles to himself, "and I'll find him for sure!"

Chocklure tries Find Familiar one last time. Wow. Behind the teacher's desk, near the leg closest to the bookshelf...

"Rags! I found you!" Chocklure says in an extremely excited tone.

"Master Ace! It worked!" Chocklure reports to the teacher. "That's pretty cool!"

Chocklure takes Rags back to his desk and sits quietly watching the others that haven't quite gotten the spell yet.

Zorgn - July 9, 2004 05:10 PM (GMT)
Zorgn knew there had been something he had forgot. The reason the class was supposed to learn Find Familliar was to keep you from getting lost. Zorgn wouldn't get lost. If he got seperated, he'd fly out and look for the group from the air. Failing to find them, he'd head to the Academy. Zorgn looked at his rat and told it to hide, Zorgn would see if he could find it without the spell.Zorgn closed his eyes and waited for it to hide.

Zin - July 9, 2004 09:21 PM (GMT)
Zin hadn't noticed anything, as she was busy trying to animate the rat. Curses were flowing like water in the stream of her thoughts, crashing and foaming in a storm of irritation. She hissed a curse under her breath, then shook off the anger.

She needed to concentrate on the spell. Concentration was the key. She used the anger as fuel, and the curses as a light for the fuel. The red in her eyes was becoming rather bright, and she snapped the words out, and, lo and behold, the rat moved.

She laughed, rather insanely. She stopped and her yell turned into a howl of horror as the rat skittered towards her.

She fell backwards, and her chair crashed to the floor as she skittered away from the rat. The rat fell off the desk, hit the floor, and kept on coming, it's head at an odd angle.

Zin gagged, then managed to force out the words to Magic Missle, and the rat was gone, replaced by a small indentation and a greasy smear on the floor.

"...Yeck...Disgusting thing..." Zin glared at what had been the rat, then, with an air of indignation, righted her chair, and sat down as if nothing had happened.
