He walked into the classroom and laid his spellbook down on his desk. He then grabbed his wand and sat down. He looked around at the empty classroom. Me as a teacher......didn't see that one coming.

He sat his wand down next to his spellbook. Where my students are, is what I am wondering. He wiped some dust off his desk. Man this room hasn't been used in a while.

He got so bored he started looking through his spellbook. Anytime now someone is going to come through that door. He glanced over at the door and waited for someone to come in.

Zorgn walked into the room and stopped as he saw what was sitting behind the desk. I heard we had a wierd teacher, but I didn't expect the Flayer. Even the wisp was surprised, it flew out of Zorgn's pocket and started making multicolored question marks in the air. As Zorgn tried to stop the thing, it zoomed over to the flayer and circled around it's head before hiding in a closet. Zorgn looked at the teacher and said, "You have met my wisp, I am Zorgn. You are the new teacher, right?"

"Correct." He looked at the closet. "Get him out of there and sit down." He shook his head back and forth. He grabbed his wand and started to fiddle with it.

"So do you think we should wait for the others or just start now?" He then relized that he had not told his new student his name. "My name is Raku, just incase you were wandering."

Zorgn sat down and spoke, "I dunno... let's wait a bit for 'em. And about the wisp, he's crazy, I can't get him to do anything sane. Getting him out of the closet is gonna be hard." Looking towards the closet, he saw the thing sneak out from there and then under a desk. He tried to ignore a flight of bats from under the desk. "He's ot of the closet. Do you know a way to stop him? Even for a bit?" A flight of geese flew towards the flayer and dissapeared through the wall behind him.

"I can try." He looked under the desk. "You want me to kill you, if so please keep acting carzy." He then looked above the desk and at Zorgn.

"I have done all I can." Don't know if it worked though. Well you can always try and calm him down until the others start to come.

zorgn looked over at the flayer and said, "I've tried calming the bugger down. I think ignoring him is best. Anyway, what's the plan for the lesson teacher? Shall we wait, or let 'em come in late?" The wisp flew around the room, making illusions fly around for a bit. It was ignored, and retreated to go and dissapear half the desks.

(Hey, Raku, looks like me & you are the only ones in the tournament of souls.)

He looked at the wisp, then simply turned away. "Well today is my first day, I really don't have anything planned. Tell me what would you like to do, besides kill the wisp." He waited for his new pupil's request.

(Cool, I promise to try and give you a good challenge.)

Zorgn thought for a second and had an idea, "The only other class I was in turned into a duel, how about we try that? I heard you had signed up for the upcoming tournament, we could get a measure of the others potential." A duel was a good idea, both of them were going to fight in the upcoming tournament. Practice could always help.

(You better try real hard to win, I ain't going easy on ya.)

"Well sure, though I shall be ashamed if I lose, after all I am the teacher." He picked himself up and walked over to Zorgn. He then used telekinesis
to move the desk so that they would have plenty of room. "Shall we start?" He the walked into the middle of the room and waited for Zorgn to make a move.

Zorgn backed up a bit and said, "You bet. Let's fight." Zorgn raised his hands and cast Cause Fear on Raku. People who were strong willed could overcome thier fear, could Raku?

Zorgn had caused Raku to quiver for a second. Raku then shook it off and smiled. "Good one, though I love fear after all I come from the nightmare plane. My turn!" Raku raised his wand and twirled it around several times. He then cast enervation at Zorgn. "Take this!"

"You fight with one of my favorite spells." Zorgn raised his hand and cast enervation at Raku's spell. As they collided, the air was filled with a loud noise and thousands of black floating specks. "Let me show you a more useful spell. I can attack at close range while the opponent is stuck with long range spells." Zorgn's hands turned to claws made of dark energy. He leaped at Raku and tried to slash him up a bit.

Oh crap....think quickly. He had no real time to react, but he thought of a plan and hoped it would work. Raku fell to the ground as to prolong his reach for a second or two. Raku used telekinesis to fleng a desk at Zorgn, hoping it would stop him for a brief moment.

Zorgn couldn't escape, the desk crashed into him and caused him to fall to the floor. Standing up a momment later, he released his spell and cast Unholy Aura. The underworld was again at his back, it was reassuring to feel the force thet urged him into his battle frenzy. He would not atack yet, he would wait and let Raku move first. He said, Throwing things, eh? I guess you don't have a shield spell or a dispell one. It would be wise to get one." Zorgn grinned and waited.

He rose up off the ground and dusted himself off. He stood silently staring at the ground. "I won't let you win, my pride is on the line. I had hoped to fight you and hold back until the tournament, but I see you are more skilled than I thougt." I need more time.....

He began to gather energy. This will either work for me or not....... He looked at Zorgn. Then pointed his wand at him. "Ready...?"

Zorgn stood his ground and nodded that he was ready. He thought to himself what Raku might be doing. He might have a new spell, but Zorgn didn't think so. What is he doing? Zorgn reached out with his mind and tried to figure out what he was doing. With no luck, he stood and waited.

"Alright then." He pulled out his new wand and gave Zorgn an evil look. He then channeled his energy into his Ice wand. He cast a magic missle at him, though not before he empowered his spell. It's do or die right now.

"Is there a point to this?" Zorgn moved his hand and a desk flew in front of Zorgn to take the hit. Shards of wood flew everywhere andthe floor was littered with the debris of the desk. "I now have the ability to move things with my mind like you." Zorgn powered up his claws of darkness and advanced on Raku.

If Raku could smile he would be making the biggest ever. Raku allowed him to come forward. Then a the last second his tentacles rose up and grabbed onto Zorgn's head. He never did say we could use only magic. Raku tried to squeeze Zorgn, so that he might pass out.

Since magic wasn't the only thing that was going to be used in this fight, Zorgn let one of his hands go to normal. With that hand he pulled out his new dagger and stabbed at Raku's gut with it and slashed at his face with his claws. Zorgn spoke with a muffled sound, "Let go of my head. I will gladly gut you if you do not get off my head."

if you insist..He almost fell to the ground when he was cut. Raku started to loosen his grip on Zorgn's head, but healed himself first, then fired a magic missle at Zorgn's chest. He then let go of him, so he would get blasted away.

His dagger slid across te floor and Zorgn was blasted into the wall from the blast. Standing up, Zorgn dusted himself and said, "You got me on that one. I quit, I wanna keep my brain untill the Tournament. See you there." Zorgn grabbed his dagger and walked out the door.

"Bye, see you there." He went and sat down in his chair. "Well thats was fun." He looked around the classroom. "No one else is here though." He put his head on the desk. Hurry up people......

" My, that was quite a match."

I was at the door way and walked in as the proffesor gave me a startled look.
"Why I am surprised that a proffesor accepted the challenge within the school walls. Has the tournamen begun already? Or was necromancer just picking a fight?" I picked up one of the desks that have been flown to the otherside of the room and put it into place. I sat down and looked at the proffesor. "My name is Jahesd," i greeted. "I would like to learn everything i can about the vast world of magic. Please teach me proffesor. I am eager to learn and I will do every assignment you give me. Please help me in becoming a powerful wizard."
I looked around and just noticed that there was no one else in the classroom but him."There is no one else coming this way. I watched for people, but did not find any. So shall we begin?"
I eagerly opened my book of common magic and looked up at the proffesor.
