Ranewen walked through the halls, gazing into the stall doors. “Such pretty animals…” she muttered to herself and smiled at each one of them. She stood at the stall of one, just gazing in as if longing to work there. She sighed silently and leaned against the stall door of the horse. “Yeah, like anyone would want me working for them…” she said in a very low, almost inaudible tone. She sighed lightly and stared at the large beat, a smile on her face.

He stood at the doorway to the stables, watching her look at the horses. He smiled and walked towards her as she gazed upon one of the horses. He stood behind her quietly as she muttered something to the horse.*

“Yeah, like anyone would want me working for them…”

*he smiled, for he was actually looking for somebody to assist him with all these horses.* You know, if you want, I may have a job open for someone interested in my horses. But you gotta know what you're doing or you're useless to me.

Her heart pounded against her chest as she whirled around. “Really? Well, sir, I actually do know quite a bit about horses… For example, that horse in there has a star on its forehead, a sock on its left front leg and a stocking on its back right one,” she stated and smirked. She may have been a fallen angel, but she knew her stuff about horses.

*he smirked as she spouted off simple knowledge that one could see with the naked eye. She seemed interesting as a emplpoyee and it would be nice to have someone to talk to. He folded his arms as he looked down at her* Well, you do know quite a lot about horse's exterior. But horses are not just outside appearances, but about their inside too. Look around here and point out the fastest looking horse here and I'll tell you whether or not you're right or wrong.

She took in a deep breath and walked towards stall number 4. “That one,” she pointed, hoping she had been correct. Indeed, he was right. It was not only his outside appearances, but also the inside. Why must you be so stupid? she asked herself and sighed lightly.

*he walked over to stall 8, smiling bright at her seemingly beginner's knowledge of horses. He called her over and pointed to the horse. It was a jet black and was shorter than the rest of the horses.* Miss, this horse right here is the fastest one. Now can you tell me why?

She thought for a moment. “I-I don’t think I know the answer to that one. Unless, of course, it is this: it is the fastest because of its size. The wind, I think I was told (but I can’t quite remember), doesn’t hold it back as much…” She sighed. Great, I’m definitely going to fail… she told herself and placed a hand on her forehead.

*he looked on as she actually gave the right answer. when she buried her face in her hand, he placed a hand on her shoulder* There there, you're correct, you just forgot that along with the less amount of wind holding it back, look at the size of its muscles. This little bad boy....I mean girl is all muscle, which will carry her weight a lot quicker than some of the bigger horses would. Do you see what I'm getting at?

“Wow, I was right for once…” she stated. “Well, partially right…” she corrected herself. “But, yes, you’re right. I would’ve eventually said that when it would be totally out-of-topic, though, like usual.” She smiled and rubbed the side of her arm. “The only problem is, I don’t think you’d want a fallen angel working for you…”

*he laughed and patted her on the back a few times* Codswallow, I could use a stablehand, and just because you're a fallen angel doesn't change anything. With some time and tutelage, you'll be a fine stablehand, and might even be able to do more than that. You're accepted

Meera walked into the stables she looked around for the stable master. She spotted him with Ranewen. She smiled at Ranewen and said "i knew i'd see you here. Did you get the job?" she asked then she turned to the stable master and said "i've just been accepted as a stable hand, do you have any work that you need done right now?"

She smiled back at Meera and then nearly jumped because of her acceptance for a job. “Thank you, sir. And, I don’t know if I told you this, but you can call me either Ranewen or Rae. And, as Meera has asked, if you want anything done at the moment, just tell me and I’ll be off and doing it.” She nodded her head and crossed her arms over each other behind her back.

Yourwelcome Rae and congrats Meera, I've been waiting for your arrival. Well, the name's Koresoto, but you can call me Kore. It's nice to meet the both of you, and I'm sure together we'll be able to keep these horses in tip-top condition. As for something to do. I figured we have about 6 horses here, and they all need a daily exorcise. So, the three of us are going to get these horses out for their daily exorcises, and after that, we're going to have to feed them.*he looked at the two ladies and smiled bright, then thought to himself.* Oh boy, two women....I'm going to have to exert a lot of control not to do anything rash....but hey, I do need the help

Meera said "great" and smiled a friendly smile at both Rae and Kore. She then asked "so which horses do you think should we exercise first?"

*he looked at the six horses in the stables, then wondered who would tend to which one.* Well, first, pick your favorite, then take care of that one. Once you pick one, you'll be responsible for getting done all that needs to get done. After you pick yours, then I'll assign the other three accordingly. Us three will take care of them on a turn basis. My choice is my lady, Blur, in stall 8. There's Konochi in stall 1, Umbros in stall 3, Meagan in stall 4, Jordi in stall 2, and Goose in stall 6. Go check the horses out and make your choice.

Ranewen waited for a moment and then stated, “I shall take Umbros and Meagan.” She paused for a moment and then added, “If that’s okay with Meera, of course.” She looked at the two stalls in which the horses resided and walked over to Stalls 3 and 4 and looked at them, smiling. Then, using her spells that she knew, she muttered a few words and she used ‘Polymorph’ to make her wings disappear.

Meera smiled and said "that's fine with me. I think i'll take Jordi and Konochi." And walks towards Jordi's stall first. She pats((is it a boy or girl))on the nose and then transfers to Konochi's stall and pats it on the nose too.

Rae smiled. “All right. Thank you, Meera,” she said as she waited for a command to open the stall doors. She didn’t dare do anything without their Stable Master telling her to. She looked in at each of them, a smile on her face. “Meagan and Umbros… Such pretty names.”

((Jordi's a girl))*he sighs and laughs a bit* I said pick one, and we'd rotate the other three......but do it your way....even though it may be a bit harder.*he looked at Blur and Goose and smiled* Well...Blur, time to have some fun...hey Goose, soon, I'll have someone for you to play with, his name'll be Maverick. *he popped the hinges on their corral, then pulled them both outside, he petted their heads softly for a bit, then moved back and gave them both a good spank on their asses. With that they shot out and began running around the stables.

“Oops. Well, we can rotate the other three, but I’ll take Umbros if we’re doing it the other way,” she said and nodded. “Well, I wanted either of the two, that’s why I said both of their names,” she stated with a slight smile and nodded. She waited for Meera to get ready as she opened the door to Umbros’s stall. She looked over at Meagan. “I’ll take you out next.”

Meera smile dampens and says "i'm sorry. I can just choose Jordi for now." and opens her stall door patting her on the muzzle. She leads her outside then lets her go with blur and goose. She then goes back in to get Konochi. She opens that stall door too and leads her outside letting her go as well.

Ranewen opened Umbros’s stall door and let ((him/her)) out. She walked towards the corral and looked at Kore and asked, “Would you like me to wait until you guys are done, or put ((him/her)) in with Meagan and the other four?” She was just making sure, as she didn’t want to screw up on her first day on the job.

*he smiled as his helpers were doing a great job. This would've taken him forever. He looked around, thinking of what to do....then he decided his next plan of actions* Meera, get Konochi back in here, I said only one at a time. I let two out because I can handle the both of them. I'm sure you could too, but I need to feel comfortable with your skills. Don't worry, we'll get it all done and be ready for lunch around 2. And Ranewen, take care of Umbros, just like Meera will be taking care of Jordi. I will handle Blur and Goose.*he thinks to himself---I hope that shipment comes soon...I can't wait to get it*

Meera bowed her head and frowned she said "sorry" quietly and led Konochi back out. She thinks about what it will be like when she finally gets a horse. She imagines a pretty horse that will love her as much as she loves it. She then adds to herself -like that will ever happen-

“Do you mean, bring him to the corral or, brush him and whatnot?” she asked, crossing her arms. The horse stood, silently, at her side, waiting for her to tell him to do something. She had a bond between them already, surprisingly. She just wonder how good he was to ride.

*looking at the both of them, he frowned somewhat. He had a feeling he was being harsh on them. He walked outside, then whistled in a few different pitches. Moments later the horses that were outside came on their way to the stables. He called Meera and Ranewen over. He wanted to talk to them and make sure everything was clear.* Meera, Ranewen. Can I see the both of you. There is something I must discuss with the both of you....and don't worry, no one's in trouble and nobody did anything wrong.

Ranewen froze for a moment, but then she nodded. Hey, I just realized… I’m being commanded by someone who’s many years younger than I… she thought with slight amusement. She slowly walked over, her arm resting on the hilt of her Blade of Chaos. “Yes?” she asked, looking up at him. Ranewen then peeked into one of the stalls to see his nightmare and sneered at it.

Meera quickly tied the horse to a railing and jogged over to Kore. She said "yes? I hope I didn't upset you already" and looked down at the ground.

*Kore looked at the both of them as they gathered around him. Looking at the both of them, he knew that this work was to be tough, but he wanted to make it as interesting as possible. Even though there wasn't much fun in tending to these magnificent beasts, he would find a way.* Okay ladies, there's nothing wrong, but I've thought about it, and I came to a conclusion. This is yourfirst day of work, why don't we just have fun? Just remember that you'll be responsible for your duties tomorrow. How does that sound?

She looked at Kore’s nightmare for a moment, still sneering, and then turned her attention back to him. She nodded her head shortly. “Sounds fine to me… But how are you supposed to have fun in work?” she asked, crossing her arms, a hint of sarcasm in her voice. She was actually a bit serious. Were you supposed to have fun in work? When she had worked, it was for her own family. She had become her slave. Until… It happened.

Her face turned pale as she thought of the day that she died and she bit her lip. “Damned parents,” she muttered, angrily, looking away from both Meera and Kore. For some reason, the two reminded her of them and the way that she was treated. Curse those idiots. I’m glad they’re dead… she thought to herself. She looked at Kore from the corner of her eye until she looked into the stall of the nightmare once again.

*By this time, Kamahl((Kore's nightmare)), was bucking and kicking in its stable. Kore caught its tamtrum in the corner of his eye. His eyes shifted to Meera, who was still looking at him, and then to Rae, who was taunting the horse. *Oh damn...*He mumbled. Pushing Meera to the side, then Ran to Rae and tackledher to the ground((for her safety)), Kamahl reared back and flames billowed out of his mouth to where she had stood. Kore checked to make sure Rae was ok, then ran in fron of Kamahl* Whoah Kamahl! Chill out! CHILL OUT!*he looked around and saw the flames from the nightmare ignited some of the hay on the floor. He ran to the Water pump outside and called the other two* We need to get this fire out now! *he took a bucket from the side and ran to the fire and attempted to put it out by drowning it.*

She growled and muttered a few words to herself and, using Telekinesis, she raised a bucket full of water as she got one for herself and poured it onto the flames, in hopes of it going out. Damned horse… she thought and glared at the ground, waiting to be scolded. Then again, all she did was look at the horse. What could have made it want to kill her? She shrugged and continues, watching Meera. Why wasn’t she helping? Didn’t she know that the stables could burn down due to her (as I, Ranewen) stupidity? She growled under her breath and wished she had purchased the Summon Water Element sooner. It could be of good use right about now… she thought to herself.

Right then, she was too afraid to talk. She was actually expecting a beating, as that was what would have happened to her while she was actually still a live. Now, she was just a fallen angel who was cast back down to Earth for some wrongdoing. Sighing, she remembered a spell she had purchased and smirked. She muttered a few words and hoped that her spell, Calm Animal, would work on the nightmare. If it did, the nightmare would calm down and hopefully wouldn’t try to kill her again. She maintained eye contact through the whole thing, looking into the stall.

*The nightmare was out-of-control and when it snorted, smoke billowed out of it. Breathing deep, it looked at Rae, ready to smoke her with his flames. But for some reason when he looked into her eyes, it slowly calmed down and the fire was quelched inside the imposing beast. It just stared into her eyes as it fell under her trance.

Kore was looking on in disbelief as she did that.*....but only I was able to tame him...how did you make him so calm?

Ranewen flinched, expecting something to come flying at her. When nothing has hit her, she looked over at Kore and thought for a moment before answering. “A spell,” she said simply and then looked over at the flames, causing them to stop with her Telekinesis. She then looked away as soon as she could, not wanting to face the fact that she would most likely be scolded for what she had done. She crossed her arms and looked at the ground, her eyes emotionless, showing no signs of fear for some reason. She didn’t fear death; nor did she fear a beating. That’s the way she had lived. Strange it may sound, but it was true.

She sighed slightly and then turned, walking away, her summoning staff dragging behind her. There goes our day of fun… she muttered to herself and let her head hang low as she walked around the corner of the stables and sat on the edge of the little stone wall. “How could I be so stupid?” she asked herself, this time out loud instead of keeping the comments to herself.

*he was impressed by this girl's powers, but it wouldn't excuse her for what she did. He was going to have to tell her something. He walked around the stables, checking for any signs of a potential fire. Every now and then when he checked, he slammed his foot down to smother stray cinders. When he finished clearing out any chance of fire....except his horse, he followed the trail that Rae's staff made. He walked in front of her then hopped onto the stone wall she sat on, taking a seat next to her.* Listen Ranewen, what you did back there sure was something, but that still doesn't excuse what you did. Taunting a horse is an attack on its pride, and when you taunt a nightmare....a Fire breathing horse, it gets volatile and it will attack like it did today. If you apologize, we might still be able to go have fun.

“Why should I apologize if I was looking at a horse?” she asked, looking in front of her. Why is it always my fault? she asked herself and then sighed slightly. “But, whatever, I’m sorry. Go have fun, please. I will ruin it all,” she admitted, looking around, her gaze not setting even slightly on Kore. She stared out at the village; some people had known that she did it and she received stared. She just wished you could shout, ‘What are you looking at?!’ but she held it back. She didn’t need to make a fool of herself.

“I’m serious. Go without me. Trouble follows me in my footsteps. I have two sides of me. A calm, quiet side – which you have only seen – and a very evil side that no one has been able to live through… I don’t think you want me to get angry, okay?” she stated, more than asked. “You may be the Stable master, and I may just be someone who works for you, but please, just go without me,” she finished and then snapped her mouth shut, tracing her fingers in the dirt between her shoeless feet.

*When he heard her putting herself down, he frowned. When the 5th person glanced at her, he jumped from his seat and yelled* What in Hades are you looking at?! Nothing! And that goes for the rest of you. *he turned around and took a deep breathe. When he exhaled, a smile grew on his lips.* Hey, listen, I saw you sneering at the horse, and believe me, horses see that as a threat. And please...if you want to know about ruining something...you should've seen how one man ruined a clan and almost got me killed((this is the story if you're interested)). Listen, its only your first day. You're not perfect..no one is....and imperfect people make mistakes. You made one today, and if you learn from it, it'll never happen again. And yes, you're coming with--no one should be exempt from having fun.

“…Except me…” she muttered, her words barely audible. She sighed slightly and looked at the ground. “If you’re wondering if I have another reason for not wanting to go have fun is because I don’t know how to have fun… I’m sure you know why I have these wings on my back and why they’re clipped. But you don’t know what happened before I was cast out of Heaven… I died in a fire, just for your information. And what happened before that? I was my own family’s slave and they had my door locked in the basement. The window was too high for me to get to and they didn’t bother to come back to save me. So, do you honestly think I have the slightest idea of what fun is?” she asked, and looked over at him for the first time since he had followed her out.

She then got up and looked around and stood on the rock wall, leaning on her summoning staff. She was being quiet only because she was afraid to get yelled at again. Go on without me… Just leave me a lone before I do get angry, she thought to herself and knew that she could get him away from her if she wanted. Then again, she would like company once in a while. It wasn’t very often that she made friends or had company to talk to.

((wow you guys posted a lot)) Meera's head hit the post of the fence as Kore pushed her aside. She sat up slowly rubbing the bruise, a little dizzy, she got up. As soon as her vision cleared she saw that there were fires. She ran a few steps to go get water but then she saw that they had already put them out. She shook her head a bit to clear it. She saw Kore talking to Ranewen and decided just to leave them alone for a minute. She saw Konochi shying at the smaller fires around his feet and led him over to another rail and tied him there. She stood there petting him waiting for them to come back.

The slightest Idea of what fun is? *he looked at her with a confused look.* My goodness...we have to change that. I mean, without fun in someone's life, its empty. Work, yeah sure, its good and its neccesary, but without fun to balance, you can end up a real grouch. To find out what fun is, you first have to know what you like. Rae, what do you like?

*He wanted to do something to make her laugh, for she seemed very serious at the moment. He then attempted to do a handstand. Holding his balance for a few seconds, he lost his balance and tumbled and landed bewteen her feet. He looked up, blushing brightly and smiling*
