His breaths became quicker as the air became thinner. Up and up he went, spiraling up the mountain to the very top. The nearest Gwikilith tavern was seething with rumors of Santhanos' gold being held at the top of the giant mountain.
Reaching its peak, walking up crumbling stone stairs(way to many to count), the ground was suddenly...green?! Grass was everywhere, up to Raine's knees. At this high an elevation? Walking along, he reached stone ground, and a huge altar with a silver top. But that did'nt come close to suprising him as much as something else...the view.
Everything was in sight. Everything imanginable. Raine's breathing stopped, his mouth hung wide in awe. He could see lakes, rivers, mountains, cities, forests....anything. Talas could be seen to the far east, ships going in and out like bees to a flower.
Suddenly, he blinked. Raine realized where he was. He fell to his knees, and clasped his hands together.
"A temple of Nature..."
((This is isn't private is it? I hope not... No one's replied to it in over a month, but I hope you still come online. ^_^))
Ranewen had heard this rumor as well. She climbed slowly, leading her horse who wore no bridle; no halter; nor a saddle. She seemed to obey the woman in front of her no matter what. Trust, was what it was called, wasn’t it? The same with the winter wolf the walked ahead of Ranewen as if her guard. She looked around, taking in the view as suddenly she felt something brush against her legs. She looked down and was startled for a moment. GRASS?! her mind shouted. She whirled around and looked directly into the eyes of her baby pseudodragon and sighed in relief. She thought someone else had entered her mind for a moment. Soon, a pixie fluttered by her cheek and settled on her shoulder, looking around as well.
Something moved out of the corner of her eye moved. She turned her whole face and saw an elf, hands clasped together. She wondered what he was doing. Well, he’s an elf… And I’m not, so how should I know? she asked herself and then looked around. She quirked an eyebrow at the view and seemed to brush it off of her shoulder as if it were a fly. She then looked back towards the elf. “You searching for the Gold, too?” she asked, almost knowing the answer would be a yes.
