Lothlómendil - March 5, 2004 01:39 AM (GMT)
Lothlómendil had wandered aimlessly through the forest near the border of the Misted Hills for days now. She had no idea where she was or where she was going, she was just walking until she couldn't walk any further. She was frustrated that her long search was so fruitless. Searching for so long had provided her with nothing, and she was still in the same place that she had started in....nowhere.

She had wandered deeper and deeper into the woods and the trees were so dense now that the sun's rays barely filtered through. After over a week of virtually non-stop hard traveling, she finally began to grow very tired. Still she continued on, pushing herself until it felt like she was merely dragging her body among the trees that were her only companions. She reached her complete end at last, and slumped down, her back against a tree and let the mist engulf her.

She sighed, and closed her eyes, and began to fall asleep alone in the open forest. It didn't matter to her, she could not have stayed awake if she had tried. She began to dream shortly after falling asleep, images coming to her from her memory. She saw her mother, standing out in the field with a basket in her arms. Then another scene, this time with her father. He was training a young warrior as she watched in secret from around the corner of a door. She could feel the desire that had filled her for years after, the desire to be allowed to train. Girls were not allowed to train to become warriors, and she was only five at that time anyway. As this image faded from her unconcious thought, a third came to her. This was not a memory of hers this time. It was the desire that plagued her now, her precious Tilaureďr. It stood alone in a field of black. Oh, how she wished to reach out and touch it, but could not not matter how hard she tried. Then a loud voice came, and it spoke only one word. "AWAKEN!"

Lómen's eyes flew open. She had her hand outstretched, still grasping for the Tilaureďr. She sighed again and dropped her arm to her side limply. She drooped her head to the side, and looked out into the mist. Something caught her eye. Something black and shiny on the ground behind the tree she was up against. She sat up and turned herself to face about. It was a large, glassy black lake that filled the area like the presence of a living being. She felt as if the water was looking at her.

The waters were intriguing, and she went to the water's edge as if led by a guiding hand. She got down on her knees when she reached the water's edge, and looked into its depths. She began to fell relaxed, almost drowzy, and found that she had closed her eyes again. Not of her own will, she reached her hand out towards the water slowly, but it was as if she were in a trance, or under a hypnotic influence. She could feel herself gently leaning over further and further, ever nearing the black surface of the waters.

Lothlómendil - June 24, 2004 10:24 PM (GMT)
A voice came to Lothlómendil faintly, as it would through a long tunnel. At first she did not notice it, but it finally reached her conciousness that someone was talking to her. Slowly she blinked and became aware of herself and her surroundings. Leaning back, she turned to look towards the voice. She felt as though she were just awakening from a dream. She shook her head and rubbed her eyes. "What is going on?" she asked looking up at the woman that stood before her, as though she would know.

She glanced back down and realized that she was practically in the water and at risk of falling in if she edged in any closer. She pulled back from the waters, and none to soon. There, where she had been seconds before, surfaced a monster at the water's edge. Its gaping mouth was lined with many white, razor-sharp teeth. Lómen fell over backwards and then backed away from the water. Where did that thing come from? She had only managed to get a brief look at the creature but she was pretty sure that what she had seen was a blue dragon wyrm. Didn't they have hypnotic powers? That would explain why she had been drawn to the water. She shuddered to think what would have just happened if she had not heard the woman's voice.

The water rippled from motion beneath its glassy surface. Below the surface a dark figure was still visible, and it seemed to be coming back towards the land. Lómen had an uneasy feeling about that dragon, and she took a few more steps away from the water. As she watched, the dragon wyrm burst from the surface af the lake and let out an ear-piercing shriek. It flapped its wings and showered her with the murky water and rose into the air. It seemed angry... and hungry as well.

Raine - April 25, 2005 01:18 AM (GMT)
Asleep, high up on a branch, lay Raineimere Lithyless, his hands cushioning his head. Dreams of his past flooded his mind. Yet below, his wolf was awake. Whining. The sudden urge of anxiety was felt through Raine's body as well, and he awoke at once. Looking down on his companion, the wolf paced nervously around the tree, looking up. Raine jumped down, patted him on the head. What? Where? The danger was unknown, but someone's life was definately on the line. Take me there. They ran, ran like the wind through the pitch black woods until they reached a lake. Hideous wings fueled the flight of a giant wyvern, gazing straight into the eyes of a beautiful young woman. He snarled in rage, almost exactly as his wolf. He unsheathed his blade, and stopped a little bit down the lake from the girl. Pointing the sword towards the wyvern, he yelled at it. "You! Let her go...Or you will pay." The wyvern's gaze was interrupted. Raine breathed in relief. But now the wyvern was staring at him, coming ever so closer. He tried not to look back. His hands gripped tighter on the sword as he looked towards the girl in hope.
