Description: all welcome. (first adv. rp post!!)

Aeacus - March 3, 2004 01:33 AM (GMT)
Aeacus usually wasn't so obsessed with mysterious orbs, but this one was different. Aeacus was just wandering around when it appeared out of no where in her pocket. When Aeacus pulled it out it wieghed about five pounds and was cold and just plain black. Aeacus tossed it from hand to hand, then held it in front of her face and peered into it, not expecting to see anything. But the orb grew warm in her hands, and the inside glew bright red like fire. Aeacus looked deeper into the orb. Her eyes grew wide and dark green as she saw the image of her parents, standing there, with the image of herself standing beside them. They were happy, they were alive. A clear, salty, tear ran down Aeacus's cheak and she looked closer at the images. Suddenly, fire consumed the images inside the orb and the orb flew into the woods. Determined to get it back, Aeacus flew after it.
Aeacus flew through the woods at amazing speeds, chasing after a small, black orb flying faster a few feet in front of her. Aeacus dodged the trees, only large brown blurs to her as they whizzed by, and had her hand outstretched for the softball-sized, shiny, black orb.
It seemed that every time her hand got a few inches away from the orb, the orb would get a sudden burst of speed and fly faster and farther away. Aeacus's large, yellow eyes were slightly squinted from the wind in her eyes and her white/blonde hair twirled behind her head and along her back. As she was racing after the orb, her finger tips barely touching it, something, a figure, caught her eye. Aeacus turned her head sharply, and proved that to be a major mistake. When she turned back, expecting to see an orb, she instead saw a very close tree. Her eyes grew wide and she didn't have time to stop, or even to slow down. Aeacus's left shoulder smashed into the tree, knocking her off balance. Shards of tree wood flew through the air as Aeacus's body flew through the air, twisting and hitting various trees untill gravity took over and she plummited to the ground. Aeacus hit the ground, bounced about three times before sliding to a slow and painfull stop in the leaves.
Aeacus laid there for a while, the wind knocked out of her and a sheering pain running through her arm and back. Aeacus finnaly sat up, panting and grunting, to examine herself. Her left shoulder sagged low and had a deep gash in it. Aeacus had various cuts all over her from hitting the other trees. Pain seeped from her bones and she laid on her back straight, holding her left, probably broken arm close to her body. She decided to wait a while before attempting to heal herself, letting the pain soak in so it would be numb later. Aeacus did not forget about the figure she saw and kept a watchfull eye open for whoever it was that she saw.

Raine - June 6, 2004 09:50 PM (GMT)
The scent of the woods lifted Raine off of his feet and made him fell euphoric. He was running, leeting his wolf chase him. They were both testing their agility and speed, whooshing past numerous trees that they couldnt even keep focus on. They started to slow, and stoped. Raine sat on a stump, laughing as he pat the top of his companion's head.

Suddenly, his wolf whined, and turned around. His ears pulled back against his head and the hairs on his back rose. "What is it?" Raine asked as he stood up. Just as he stood up, gazing into the woods, he saw a black ball fly past the trees at an amazing speed. His wolf ran after it. "No! Wait!" Before he could act, he looked back again and saw someoone run straight into a tree with a thud that he heard even at that long distance away. He blinked. What just went on?! He head off in the direction of the now fallen...woman, he could now see.

He knelt down, and checked her for injuries. Nothing...but a huge bump on her head. He smiled. "You'll be all right", he said, but didn't think she would understand what he had said. He carried her back to the spot where he was sitting and called for his wolf. As it came back, he used his heal spell to calm her pain, for there was nothing serious except for her counsciousness. He took a swig from his flask and waited for her to wake.

Aeacus - June 9, 2004 12:52 AM (GMT)
Aeacus just slipped into unconsiences as the stranger appeared. She felt herself being picked up but she could not move, the pain searing through her head and down her spine. Aeacus felt the effects of the spell, like a cool breeze washing over her head and taking away the splitting pain. When the spell was complete, Aeacus slowly flickered opened and at first everything was just a big blur, all the colors mixing together from the tree's and sky that made her close her eyes again. She waited a second or two, listening to the sounds of the forest and....of someone taking a drink?

Aeacus's eyes flickered open quickly and she shot up into the air, her wings picking her up off the ground so she hovered in the air. She already had her sword in her hand, ready in front of her and trying to see exactly who it was she was threatening. The bluriness didn't disapate yet, but she did see two differnt colored blobs in front of her, one shorter than the other. Aeacus shook her head and blinked rapidly, trying to get things clearer. She was shaking violently, but still managed to stay a few feet above the ground. "Who are you? What do you want? Where am I?" Aeacus talked quickly and quietly, getting slightly dizzy but ignoring it, determined to see who this was and to know what was going on.

Raine - June 9, 2004 08:43 PM (GMT)
Raine spat out his liquor in a spray as the formerly uncounscious girl was flying, sword drawn and ready to attack him. He became furious.
"HEY! What the hell do you think you're doing trying to threaten me?!" He unsheathed his sword in a blinding flash and pointed it at the winged girl. "If I wasn't here, you'd probably be dead! And who are you to ask me who I am?!" He pointed the katana at her with fury. "I can make that heal spell seem like it never happened!" His wolf, shook up, started growling (but at who was anyone's guess).
Raine swung his sword in a circle around his hand and shoved it into the ground. He sighed. "My name's Raine. I saw you...uh..." He smiled, "fly into a tree a while back. So I decided to help. Okay? Who are you?"

Aeacus - June 10, 2004 02:03 AM (GMT)
Aeacus heard the man and tried to get her vision straight, and it was slowly coming into focus. She looked confused and looked around, noticing a couple tree's with parts torn off. I ran....into a tree....hmm... Aeacus thought aloud, slowly sinking to the ground. She didn't remember anything from earlier and she rubbed the bump on her head. Suddenly the orb flashed in her mind and he eyes widened and she looked around quickly, looking for the dark orb. Not seeing anything, she sighed and sat crosslegged on the rock, her sword laying on her legs and her looking up at Raine with her large, yellow eyes. I'm sorry for that. I've been trained through experiance to jump and be ready to fight when I don't know where I am, what happened and when there is some stranger near me. I am Aeacus. Aeacus smiled at him wearliy, then sighed and ran a hand through her blonde hair, closing her eyes and trying to steady her violent shaking. Thanks for the help. How long have I been out?

Raine - June 13, 2004 07:06 PM (GMT)
Raine smiled at her apparent mood swings from the injury. He could tell she was not at her best. "You were only out for a little while", he said as he sheathed his katana back up. I dont think this'll be any trouble. "...but what in the hell is this orb thing? You mumbled something about it before you woke up." He looked at the sky. "Its getting darker...we should find someplace safer to get to, don't you think?"

Aeacus - June 14, 2004 01:01 AM (GMT)
Aeacus looked up too and noted that it was getting darker. "Sure. Where though? And I don't know about this orb. It just appeared in my pocket, showed a couple of images, then flew off. For some reason I was determined to get it back. But then I saw something, probably you, lost focus and sight and hit a couple of trees. It will either appear again for another race or I'll never see it again. Either way, right now, I don't care." Aeacus then stood, slightly dizzy but didn't show it. She looked in all directions before turning back to Raine, waiting for him to lead the way.
