The Windshadow - February 20, 2004 12:45 AM (GMT)
Tamris glared about her and stared at the crystals. They were very bright and she assumed she was pretty deep down. The thought left her undaunted, however, for she drew Sorelen. The scimitar only made it brighter. Tamris shrugged. As if anyone would find her here.

She had been walking for quite a while, and Tamris decided that enough was enough. This blasted place was confusing enough. Her eyes darted back and forth at every movement, and she had the strange feeling she was being followed. Tamris shrugged again and continued walking. The ground around her made no movement of an upward slope: she could only be going down.

The woman sagged her shoulders. "Hellooooooooooooo," surprisingly, her voice echoed. But it sent a shiver up her spine. The crystals were brighter than before.

A little ways in she came upon a lake. It was shallow, more like a pond... or even a glass tumbler. She could see smooth crystal on the bottom like people had been her. Drow? The assassin shook her head. Not possible. It was too bright for them. She waded in, disregarding her boots. She had a second pair... somewhere. The water was cool and it didn't look stagnant. Her eyes flickered down, to the sides, up and all around her as she watched. Though she didn't see them, she knew they were around somewhere. Tamris was certain she was being followed.

"Suspicions," she chided herself. "Na like you girly. Khazid?" the blade was silent. Not an enemy was near. She exited the pool and her feet left dark splotches of water on the stone as she walked. The assassin looked back at them, then down at herself, then at Sorelen, then around her. No one. Tamris sighed and continued walking, hoping she would run into someone.

Romeo - February 24, 2004 03:46 AM (GMT)
Romeo had been exaiming cyrstals for about a hour or so when a Hello came echoing deep into the cave's Flat that he resided in.He shruged and keep on examing things.his ears precked as he heard the movemwent of water but since it was slight and the shallow lake was only about a five minute walk from were he was.

he moved over and laid down on a bed looking rock, closing his eyes he yawned softly.soon he appeared to be deep in sleep.

The Windshadow - February 24, 2004 04:27 AM (GMT)
Tamris continued walking, staring up at the crystals. There was no darkvision here, the assassin realized, she was venerable. Instead, Tamris kept walking. She was bound to come upon someone... eventually.

She gulped at the thought of being lost down here forever. For several minutes she walked in silence, occasionally glancing around, humming snatches of older tunes she knew. They all echoed eerily.

"Khazid?" the assassin put her hand on the blade. It had begun to hum. Her heart lurched into her throat. Someone was near. The blade hummed only quietly, not buzzed as when an enemy was near. She supposed maybe another traveller, but Tamris doubted it. Who would wander down into this place? Let alone get lost. She patted the blade to silence it and kept walking, though not very quietly; her boots were still wet and created a squelching noise that made her wince. She stopped on a rock and switched boots to the dryer ones.

"Not like they will stay dry," she told herself as she did up the laces. Her socks were soaked through as well. She sighed and continued forward, quieter this time, but Khazid hummed all the more.

Romeo - February 24, 2004 04:37 AM (GMT)
Rolling over to his side Romeo laid there not moving, his bretahing picked up and a slight snoring noise came from him, echoing thru out the cave he was in.he twicthed every now and then and when he heard a wet boot sound he opened one eye.

"Someone is coming.....maybe a lost travller

he remained silent and still, expect for his snorign whcih he plaied on to see what was coming and if he or she was friendly.

The Windshadow - February 24, 2004 04:45 AM (GMT)
The assassin glared at the figure who she saw laying about on the rocks. Such stupidity... she curled her lip in disdain. Her eyes flickered over him to make sure he had no weapons as she thought about what to say. Tamris would have loved to swear at him now and show him the safety rules... Khazea like that idea too. Instead, she decided to talk. "Excuse me, sir," She said in a much more polite tone. "Do you know the way out of this place?" His looks suggested he was a scientist of some sort, perhas examining the rocks. Tamris shrugged inwardly at this... it was probably a human hobby. She wound slender fingers around the hilt of Khazid as she waited for a response.

Romeo - February 24, 2004 04:52 AM (GMT)
the moment she had spoke to him he jumped up quickly, grabing a rock and reayd to throw it.his eyes glew a bright green color as he looked at her,his fangs bared.he dropped the rock and stop baring his fangs, the glow in his eyes dieing as he dust himself offsorry you scared me......yes i do know the way out."

The Windshadow - February 24, 2004 04:57 AM (GMT)
Tamris raised her eyebrows at this reaction. He hadn't been sleeping, she didn't think. "I see," the assassin noted him to be a Carpathian; she had run into several of them, and the idea of a vampire didn't scare her anymore. Not to say she wasn't disturbed. Khazid tingled. "Can you show me?" Tamris barely raised her voice, because the echoing made her head hurt. She gritted her teeth in spite of it and waited.

((sry, short post. I g2g soon))

Romeo - February 24, 2004 05:01 AM (GMT)
he nodded and motioned for her to follow him.He walked towards the back of the small flat he was in and looked up,his hand rose and a finger went up.he looked up at a small tunnel, gruves in the wall made stepsthat way will lead to a peoning near the falls...just follow me and we'll be there in less then ten hours.he slowly began to go up the tunnel.

The Windshadow - February 25, 2004 12:31 AM (GMT)
The assassin raised her eyebrows again. "Ten hours?" she echoed. It seemed right, though. Tamris supposed she had been down here for a few days at the least. She shrugged and followed him, noting every move. Near the falls... she wondered what in blazes that meant.

"So what were you doing down here?" she asked. It was curious enough for an assassin to get lost, but to run into someone this deep? Her drow senses told her she was very deep into the earth. Curiosities, she supposed...

Romeo - February 25, 2004 05:22 AM (GMT)
"examing the crystal...seeing if any held Elemental power or a srouce of emense enegry to be used for things."he keep climbing, his grazing the the tunnel's walls as it became narrower. After a few moments one side of the tunnel feel away and revealed a gaint chamber like room.he climbed into it and sat down"we need to rest the rest of the way is on foot....best to keep up our strengths.

The Windshadow - February 25, 2004 05:26 AM (GMT)
The assassin shrugged and agreed though she was no where near tired. Tamris just suspected he wanted to examine the rocks more. Blasted rocks... she thought.

"You're an inventor..." she made it more a statement than a comment, but she suspected differently. Careful facade would bring out what she wanted to know. The assassin found herself a perch up on the wall. It was a keen spot to stay. She took out her throwing dagger and laid it beside her just in case.

Romeo - February 25, 2004 06:58 AM (GMT)
"Retired Warrior, gone Salior, gone Scholar......I'm just examing these thigns so i can write a book on the different powers a crystal can hold....he yawned and looked over at her dagger"you won't need that....i would never attack a woman...even if she was a Assassain.he pressed his glasses back aginst the bridge of his noseand most diffently not one of such beauty as yourself...."he looked around and noticed a small waterbowl sized pond, created by a leak in the rock wall.he slowly scooped his hand into it and drank some."ahhh fresh and delious."

The Windshadow - February 26, 2004 01:43 AM (GMT)
Tamris narrowed her eyes and scrutinized him. She was becoming more and more suspicious of this man's nature, but she was lost in this blasted place, and wanted out. The assassin did not need... or want flattering. Ten hours was a long time, especially if this one intended to take a nap every ten minutes. She hid the rest of her weapons away and made Eld'Ryth more applicible.

"It's not a very good idea to drink water like that," she told him. "A lot of it is stagnant," she shook her head. Tamris knew. It was one of the first... and hardest lessons she had ever learned while living in the Underdark.

Romeo - February 26, 2004 03:59 AM (GMT)
Romeo shook his head.Judging by the way you look at me you've run across my kin before....most likely my brother Alexander....if so you should do your homework We Carpathains are immune to most toxins....he drunk more and walked ot the tunnel"Welp time to get going.....no rest stops for the next ten hours....oh and be careful....hit teh walls to hard and it'll cave in."he started ot climb, not looking back to see if she was cming untill his feet disappeaered.

The Windshadow - February 26, 2004 03:40 PM (GMT)
The assassin shook her head. She had met this other person he spoke of, once... Tamris allowed herself to slip into darkvision as they started, as it was getting a lot darker. Her eyes now beamed red and everything she saw was in warm colors for heat, and cool colors for cold. The only thing that beamed red was her skin, orange was the other's skin, and yellow were their footsteps. Hers were slightly greener, as her socks were wet and cooling down her feet. Tamris shrugged and climbed up with him. "Funny," she said to herself... "this isn't the way I came before..."
