Title: Guide me...
Description: ~open
Airie - February 12, 2004 07:10 AM (GMT)
Running a hand through her long gray hair, she sighed heavily. The hood that had been covering her head had fallen down. Something inside of her seemed to burn. The winds had taken her here, to this dark place in the marsh. The trees, looked to be dead-alive. Not really dead, but not appearing to have life in them. Holding out her hand, she lit her way along an overgrown path. It didn't seem that many came here which had her mind curious why she would be brought here. There were large webs around her now, though she hadn't encountered the creatures that would have made them. Not that she wanted to.
The winds blew fiercely, for a moment she wished that she wasn't alone. Standing tall, she knew it was the only way, the winds didn't seem to guide anyone else here with her. She would do this alone. There was a creeking behind her, but she didn't turn to see what or whom it was. She only pressed on, walking carefully. Dodging trees and fallen branches, lifting a hand to touch the black leaves that were still soft and moist, a sign of their life.
Athiyk - March 7, 2004 11:23 PM (GMT)
Athiyk had been wandering the lands and first travelled through the swamp, then she found herself in Spiderhaunt woods. She had reviewed different maps at the libraries and had seen the Spiderhaunt on several occasions in the maps, but had never visited the place herself. Spiders reminded her too much of her old home of Menzoberranzan.
She walked down the thin, winding path. Athiyk listened carefully for any sound and it was not long before she heard soft footsteps against the ground. She began noticing more and more thick spider webs.
Athiyk moved forward carefully and quietly, her hands on the hilts of her scimitars at her hips.
Munwithurix - March 8, 2004 01:13 AM (GMT)
Munwithrix slunk down the path, she smelled someone walking infront of her. She had been stalking this person for a while. She looked at the spider webs which didn't bother her, it made her feel more at home. As she made her way through the woods she caught another smell, it was a second person. She grinned to herself.
A spider web got caught in her horns. She threw her head trying to get them off, but they stayed. She spat out acid. It shot right through the web and went far off. Munwithrix didn't know where it went.
Athiyk - March 8, 2004 03:28 AM (GMT)
A splatter of green liquid (Hope that was the color of the acid...) fell at Athiyk's feet. There hadn't been any noise until then, except for the other ahead of her. She crouched down and inhaled, wrinkling her nose at the pungent, acidic smell that rose from the small, smoking puddle.
Acid...
It did not take long for Athiyk to understand. She was aware of only one swamp creature that had an acidic attack. Black dragons... They would stalk their pray for hours on end before striking. Athiyk wondered how long she had been followed by it...

As the sounds behind her were made, she froze in her place, half curious what was behind her, but still being new to the place wanting to just leave. Closing her hand, the light dimmed and diminished as she whipped her hand away. Her eyes reached out, trying to adjust to the dark but she was no dark elf and sighed quietly. Turning, she winced, half expecting to see a pair of eyes behind her but when she took the time to actually look, there was nothing.
What is wrong with you? You have nothing to fear. The only way you could die, is by the hands of an immortal, you haven't anything to be afraid of. Or should I? Ciara's mind raced over thoughts, her eyes now narrowed in concentration as she leaned back against a blackened tree, trying to remember if she had had an ill event with any of the other immortals. No, not that I can think of. But then what is out there?
All at once, the winds seemed to die, the air was still and for a moment it stank like rot. The smell faded, leaving her feeling a bit warm. Reaching out, she uncovered her hands, tucking her gloves into the velvet rope belt she had worn. Her cool bare hands reaching up to her cheeks which were now hot with the tension she was feeling. Letting herself become one with her element, she sensed another and a short time after, another. It left her unsettled as her eyes still tried to adjust to the lack of light, seeing nothing but cobwebs around her.
