Title: Library
Description: Hunting for some books...
Tyrion - February 5, 2004 04:34 PM (GMT)
* Outside the library, a tall figure cloaked in black walked up to the fabled building, staring into space for a second before opening the huge, oak double doors.
Tyrion strolled into the humongous library, sweeping his wind-swept hair back into place with one hand as he gazed in wonder at all the spell books and ancient lore that were kept here amid dusty shelves and stacks. His eyes took in the amazing sight, his mind wishing that this library wouldn't be destoryed as well by the fanatical magic-haters he had encountereed several times in his lifetime.
He glanced around for people, peering betwwen stacks but saw no-one and decided that the library was empty. He walked towards the right and chose a stack at random, humming to himself as he took a couple of books down from a shelf.
He carried them over to a table next to a large, paned window and dropped the books carefully before plopping into one of the comfy armchairs. He took the book from the top of the small pile in front of him and dusted off the cover with his sleeve. He then opened the book slowly and began to read it, his ears alert to any noise around him. *
Mirazhe - February 6, 2004 01:33 AM (GMT)
Mirazhe slipped in the library on silent and strangely bare feet. Normally she would be wearing boots or shoes, atleast sandals but at the moment, her tanned feet were indeed bare. Her long chestnut locks had been pulled back into a lose ponytail, just enough to keep it out of her face. She wore a loose, white cotton sleeveless dress with a gray belt around her waist, her daggers hanging from it. She had just returned from talking with Demus, and was hoping she could find something here to help her.
She had not yet noticed the other, seemingly more interested in the books. The first few books she selected were on magical weapons and poisons but as she moved farther down the selves, she picked out a few older herb books that also interested her.
Tyrion - February 6, 2004 09:28 AM (GMT)
*Tyrion lifted up his head, thinking that he had seen someone dissappear behind a shelf from the corner of his eye as he was reading. He scanned around for the mysterious person but couldn't see anybody. *
"Hello, anybody here?"
*He stood up slowly, laying his book down onto the table and pulled out his dagger from a concealed pocket within his robes. He took careful steps, alert to any danger and stalked between the stacks.*
*His eyes peered carefully around every corner, and he looked at a sign marking a shelf that said "magical weapons and poisons" to mark his way as to not get lost amid the labyrinth of bookcases. Somewhere ahead, he thought he could hear the sound of a book being pulled of a shelf and ran foward to investigate who it was.*
Mirazhe - February 7, 2004 03:20 PM (GMT)
At the sound of another, Mirazhe froze for a moment before she turned and headed back down the way she had come, a few books still in her arms. When Tyrion came into view, she dipped her head a bit in greeting, acting as though she did not see his dagger. "Hello, sorry if I startled you."
Tyrion - February 9, 2004 05:54 PM (GMT)
" Oh, sorry if I scared you, I thought you might've been someone else."
* He quickly sheathed his dagger and walked towards her, stopping a few feet away*
"So, what brings you here?"
Mirazhe - February 10, 2004 02:41 AM (GMT)
Mirazhe chuckled, "You didn't but it's okay.." She smiled at him, shifting her armful of books to a more comfortable position. "A search for knowledge on something that I have yet to learn. You?"
Tyrion - February 10, 2004 03:43 PM (GMT)
"Oh, just to learn some new things about this and that. You never stop learning even when you're an adult, do you?"
*He leaned casually against a shelve, tired of standing up. He looked up around at the books and their interesting titles before turning his gaze back to the young woman.*
"I don't think that i know you name. My name's Tyrion, what's yours?"
*He held out his hand to shake*
Mirazhe - February 12, 2004 10:14 PM (GMT)
Mirazhe chuckled, favoring him with a bright smile as she nodded in agreement. "To true..." She had to shift her hold on the books before she could spare a hand which, when she could, she held out and shook his. "It is a pleasure to meet you Tyrion. You may call me Mirazhe."
Tyrion - February 16, 2004 09:52 AM (GMT)
"Hi. I'd never thought I'd meet anybody in here, it's so quiet and deserted, and it looks like no-one has been in here for a while. I wonder why?"
*He turned around to look behind him then turned back to Mirazhe.*
"I'm gonna go back to my table to sit down, would you like to join me or would you rather search for more books?"
*He gave her with a curious look, a small smile on his face*
Mirazhe - February 21, 2004 03:40 AM (GMT)
Mirazhe shrugged, not really bothered by it. "Quiet and deserted are good if you ask me.. And since I have enough books already, I'd be glad to join you." She added with another smile before following him back to his table and sitting down.
Tyrion - February 21, 2004 10:49 PM (GMT)
*He gazed across at her pretty face, and then opened up one of his books to read*
"Are you from around here?"
*he peeked from the top of the book he was holding*
Mirazhe - February 22, 2004 02:01 AM (GMT)
Mirazhe had opened one of the books on poison and was turning the pages, searching for something when he finally spoke. She glanced up at him, "No... My home was a many month journey from here... I was a traveler till I found Imythess. I liked it so much and I had made enough friends that I have no wish to leave... You?"
Tyrion - February 23, 2004 04:09 PM (GMT)
"I wander alone, just seeking solstice from my long life, the memories overflowing like a flooding chalice. Imythess is a huge land, and i want to explore it fully. I guess I won't be leaving for a while yet."
Mirazhe - February 26, 2004 03:31 PM (GMT)
Mirazhe glanced up at him and smiled, "If you wish to explore every part then yes, you most likely wont be leaving for quite some time... But if you wish to explore every piece of land then I doubt that you'll ever leave... Though either way, I'm sure you'll enjoy it here."
While she was talking, she was also flipping through the book on poison and when she found what she was looking for she got up and found a quill and some paper. After sitting back down at his table she began to write notes on it. "Naur lote? I wonder where I would find those... Maybe Bahamut or Oppel would know."
Tyrion - February 26, 2004 05:04 PM (GMT)
"To be honest, I'm extremely interested in the temple's of the God's and the Goddess's. I'm trying to find the Temple of Fire. Do you by any chance know where it is?"
*He looked out the window to the glittering blue sea, the depths crystal clear, and stared at the seagulls circling above in the empty blue sky. He took a couple of books from the pile and pulled his backpack which was lying next to him on the floor onto the table. He grabbed a particularly thick book and nearly threw it in into his bag. He looked at Mirahze for a moment, gauging her reaction.*
"I hope you don't mind, I wouldn't do this normally but there's no-one around to check the books out and I may be gone from the Academy for a long time, maybe forever and I need these books for the knowledge they contain."
Mirazhe - February 26, 2004 06:45 PM (GMT)
Mirazhe smiled again, nodding. "Actually yes, I do.. Bahamut is the god of fire.. And its quite alright, if you dont mind me doing it too.." She rose and disappeared down the rows of shelves, returning a few minutes later carrying her backpack which she places the books she had in it along with her notes.
"If you want I can take you to the temple now," she offered after placing the pack on her back..
Tyrion - February 27, 2004 01:56 PM (GMT)
"Okay then, lead the way."
*He retrieved the crossbow leanng on the table leg, slung his backpack over his shoulder, and then walked towards the door, flicking a couple of strands of braided hair out of his face and behind his shoulder. Turning around him to see her, he opened the door while looking at her.*
"Okay, you're ready yet, I'm going."
Mirazhe - February 27, 2004 02:11 PM (GMT)
Mirazhe followed him, smiling a little as he held open the door. She stepped out then paused, stooping down to pick up a small black and grey cat. After she straigthened the cat drapped herself on Mirazhe's shoulders, her dark purple eyes gazing at Tyrion curiously.
"This is one of my cats Istolla... I hope you don't mind her coming," she added hurriedly, wondering if he wasn't a cat person.
Tyrion - February 27, 2004 02:21 PM (GMT)
"Is she a familiar? I don't mind cats, I actually quite like them so..."
"Which Temple are we going to again?"
*He looked to one side, down a road then on the other side down at the beach.*
Mirazhe - February 27, 2004 02:30 PM (GMT)
Mirazhe shook her head, "Nah.. She's just a good friend, as is my other cat Sussu'ri... To Bahamt, the god of fire's, temple..." She trailed off to look down either way on the road.
"It's this way," she said as she turned and walked down the street moving farther away from the ocean.
Tyrion - February 27, 2004 02:41 PM (GMT)
(Do we carry on in this topic then move the topic when we reach the temple?)
*He followed her down the street away from the ocean and jogged up beside her, keeping pace as he spoke to her.*
"Did you come into the library from the city or did you come from someplace else?"
Mirazhe - February 27, 2004 02:47 PM (GMT)
(that'll work ^^ )
Mirazhe shrugged though carefully so not to dislodge Istolla.
"I came here from Norwood forest if that's what you mean... What about you?" She glanced over at him, almost always curious.
Tyrion - February 27, 2004 03:52 PM (GMT)
"Me? Oh, I came from the Water Temple on an island, near the coast I think. I'm not entirely sure, cos I flew over from there."
*He shrugged*
"I kinda got kicked out from the temple cos I was fighting in there"
Mirazhe - February 27, 2004 06:09 PM (GMT)
"It is near the coast I believe, thuogh I have never been there myself and I haven't met the goddess.... Fighting? why and with who?"
Mirazhe was still curious, even more so than before, causing her eyes to switch from the hazel they were to a gold hue.
Tyrion - February 28, 2004 10:01 AM (GMT)
"With this guy called Warrior, he was an empath and an angel, at least I think he was. It was only a practice but Ainariël dosn't approve of fighting in her temple so...You know the rest."
"Do you know any magic?"
Mirazhe - February 28, 2004 12:10 PM (GMT)
"I don't believe I've met Warrior before... And yes," she added with a nod. "I do know magic. I work with the earth element and I'm a healer... I'm sort of an empath to but an animal empath."
"Do you work with magic too?"
Tyrion - March 1, 2004 03:51 PM (GMT)
"Well, I kinda tend to use general magic, but I do know some water element spells.
I can move stuff with my mind and create light as well. I can do some other stuff too but I don't wanna bore you with the details."
*He glanced around him, checking to see if anybody was there, except that the road was deserted.*
"This is a secret, but I feel I can trust you."
*He leaned over to whisper in her ear.*
"I'm an assassin. Scare you?"
*He stepped back a little and laughed a little before carrying on walking.*
Mirazhe - March 5, 2004 03:41 AM (GMT)
Mirazhe continued on as well, smiling though a hint of saddness could be seen in her gaze. "Not at all, surprisingly... I've met a number of different people with different occupations in my travels, a number of them assassins."
"Though I haven't seen that many here," she added thoughtfully.
Tyrion - March 5, 2004 05:04 PM (GMT)
"But I wasn't always an assassin, just like I'm not now. I guess it was just a period in my life when I felt I had nothing left apart from my abilities. I had no friends, my family died a long time ago, and I had nowhere to go. That was the perfect job for me at the time."
Mirazhe - March 6, 2004 02:24 AM (GMT)
Mirazhe nodded, a faint if somewhat sad smile stretching across her face. "I most definitly know how that is... Though my family haddn't died long before it," she added without thinking then winced. She called herself seven types a fool. Here she had come to Imythess so not to get killed for her previous proffesion and she just goes off and almost tells someone.
Tyrion - March 6, 2004 10:30 AM (GMT)
(Do you wanna shift this to the Temple of Fire now? I'm running out of ideas for things to post. Or shall we go in the city first, like we're passing through?)
Mirazhe - March 6, 2004 02:54 PM (GMT)
(hmm.. Going through the city would make it more realistic but either way, I don't really care... ^-^ You can pick whichever idea you like more)
Tyrion - March 9, 2004 08:26 AM (GMT)
(Okay then, city it is, I'll start a topic there today.)
