Title: Sitting by the Falls

Kiranni - February 2, 2004 10:30 PM (GMT)
Kiranni sat cross legged on the bank of the river into which the great Memphian Falls flowed. She looked sullen and subdued as she sat chin cupped in her palms, elbows rested on her knees. She wanted to go for a swim but thought better of it. She lifted her head and slouched forward. Kiranni trailed her finger in the freezing cold water. She felt pins and needles in her foot and thought she should probably stand up for a while. She didn't though, she just stretched out her legs so that her feet and shoes were now in the water. She'd probably regret her soggy shoes later but didn't mind it much now.

Oppel - February 2, 2004 10:38 PM (GMT)
Oppel walked along the water's edge as he gazed at the wondrous waterfall that lay before him. The last time he had seen a waterfall, when he was young and lived with his family among the sea elves. Despite the fact that he kept a grudge against the sea elves for several hundred years, he couldn't help but admit that the waterfall was truly a beautiful site. As he approached the falls, he looked beside him at the water and staring back at him was his own reflection. Water was truly an amazing element, though he still preferred nature to it.

Kiranni - February 2, 2004 11:07 PM (GMT)
Kiranni saw Oppel further down the river looking down at his own reflection. Not in much of a confrontational mood she removed her feet from the water and stood up walking towards him.

"Hello Oppel,"

Kiranni said halfway towards him. Her greeting had probably been barely audible over the rushing water of the falls, but she knew Oppel had heard her. Her soaked shoes made soft squeaking noises with every step that she took. She reached where Oppel was and shoved her hands as far into her pockets as they would go.

Oppel - February 3, 2004 12:07 AM (GMT)
"Hello Kiranni," said Oppel rolling his eyes, as he knew she hated him a lot, "what brings you to the falls this fine day?" He looked around and felt the spray of water brought on by the waterfall before him. The sun was hot that day, and Oppel could feel the heat beating down on him. He removed his cloak, and left his tunic in hopes that he wouldn't be as hot.

Kiranni - February 3, 2004 12:20 AM (GMT)
"Nothing, merely watching the water. One of my few interests,"

Kiranni said with a small smirk and restrained herself from smacking Oppel for his insolent eye rolling. However she was in good temper and decided not to get into an argument. Oppel seemed hot as he took of his cloak. Kiranni thought it odd, even in the bright sunlight she was fairly cold from the spray of the waterfall.

"And what is it that brings you to this lovely place?"

Kiranni questioned taking one of her hands from her pocket and wiping a lock of hair from her face. Then she wrapped both her arms about herself trying to keep warm even though it seemed fairly pointless.
