Title: Torturous
Description: [p] Romanus

Sava rode her horse Jenna into the small village of Norwood. She had decided recently to leave her home and try to get out more, but what was there to do for a whole year? All she could think of to do was to find Fios and tear him to shreds, but she pushed that out of her mind, last thing she need was her child to grow up and ask where his or her father was, how could she explain that she killed him? She shook her head lightly as she went on. She made it to a small stables and dismounted, where she gave the elf stable boy the reins to her horse, letting the boy take care of it.
She then walked away from it, and went towards the elven tavern that was up in the trees and started climbing. It was slightly a tiring job, but she managed easily with her extra draconic strength. When she walked in she wrinkled her noise, the smell wasn't as bad as normal taverns like the one in Taras before it was destroyed, but the smell of elven drinks was quite intoxicating. She walked towards a empty table, and settled into the chair. Here she hoped to collect her thoughts better instead of moping around angrily in her home and cave, so far it worked, til the bartender noticed her, and left his post to greet her.
He was one of the few fellows who knew what she was, and he never once minded.
"Hullo, friend, what can I get you tonight?" The friendly man asked, and sava glared at him icily.
"Mary says I can only drink milk or water." She grumbled, and let her head fall onto the table, and she closed her eyes. A whole year she will have to live through without the delicious taste of wine. The bartender merely smiled then walked away. A maid soon returned with a odd smelling drink, that smelled almost like blossoms. Interest drew on her, and she raised her head, and took the drink in one hand, eyes narrowing at the clear pink liquid in the cup.

Romanus was lost. He had been heading towards Kellen, but had found Norwood Forest instead. But he did not mind at all, for he was rather enjoying the peacefulness of the trees and the scattered creatures. He thought he saw the lake once, but that had been a while ago, and he wasn't sure if he'd seen it or not. Every now and then he would turn slightly and ride in a different direction for a while. He smiled as he recalled his homeland, with fields as far as the eye could see. He frowned at this thought as well though. It had been many many years, more than he could remember, since he had been there. It was changed by now, more than likely. He sighed, and continued to ride on through the woods with his thoughts.
He suddenly came upon what looked to be a village. He did not remember ever having been told of a village in the forest, and to come upon it so unexpectedly shocked him for a moment. He then came to his senses, and realized that where there were people, there was food and drink. He smiled to think of a drink of water, for he had quit drinking many years previous as well. He also could go for a nice chunk of bread, too. Maybe some meat, but he wouldn't count on it. He rode through the village until he found the stables, and noticed that the people were elves. He then realized why the village was in the forest, and also realized what an idiot he was for not getting that in the first place. He gave his horse to the stable boy, then asked for directions to the tavern.
He groaned when he saw it was all the way up in a tree, but headed up nonetheless. He needed the nourishment, and a set of stairs was not going to stop him. Once he reached the top of the stairs, he considered maybe he had been rash, but too late then. He headed on in, and scanned quickly for a bartender, and finding him, requested some water and bread, then sat down at a table. He did not expect to know anyone here, so he did not bother to study the other occupants of the tavern. He received his food and drink, and thanking the maid, set upon it.
Nightwind - October 2, 2008 07:54 PM (GMT)
Sava continued to stare at the drink in annoyance before daring a drink. It was weird, it tasted like sweetened flowers, it was the oddest thing she had tasted before. She crinkled her noise, before sighing and decided to just deal with it, it was better then just milk and water. She took another long drink, before setting it on the table. Then she took to staring at her reflection in the odd watery drink.
She looked slightly out of place here, wearing some baggy like trousers, almost like the kind that desert people wore, but it was a shade of black, and she wore a bell sleeved black top, with a V cut, and the sleeves fell over her hands. Her hair was in a pony tail like normal, the green streaks of hair visible with the black. Her eyes lifted up from the drink, and glanced about the room. She never expected to run into anyone she knew, so he didn't bother to look at anyone for to long, and it would just make her seem crazy if she did. She shook her head slightly to herself. Whether she didn't want to admit, she could possibly pass for someone crazy, especially on her bad days, which seemed to be everyday now.
She sighed, leaning back in her chair, eyes once more scanning through the crowds. There weren't as many drunks here, just a lot of elves chatting, and some even gambling. As she looked, she thought someone was familiar, but she couldn't be sure. Her eyes narrowed as she frowned in confusion and thought a moment, but after a while, she couldn't place a name on the human, so she looked away, but it still nagged on her thoughts as she sat there.
Romanus - October 3, 2008 12:33 AM (GMT)
Romanus finished his bread, and smiled in satisfaction. That was some mighty fine bread, so he signalled the maid and requested some more, and then leaned back in his chair, smiling slightly and drinking his water. He sighed, then scanned the room quickly, not really looking at anyone but just wanting to notice his surroundings. He looked back down at the table and awaited the maid to bring him his bread. When she did, he thanked her and slipped her a coin. He then started to eat the bread, taking more time this time, savoring the simplicity of it. He couldn't eat lavish meals like some of his kind, they just did not interest him. Probably his gladiator life had influenced that, but he just shrugged and continued to eat.
He looked up again as he ate, and this time took more time to study his environment ant it's occupants. He watched the elves gamble for a bit, not understanding the game they were playing, but trying to grasp it nonetheless. He spent a few minutes watching it, then moved on. He paused when he noticed a woman. There was something about her that seemed familiar to him, but he could not place it. He studied her, noticing her strange black hair with the green streaks in it. That seemed most familiar of all too him, but he could not place it, and kept studying her.
Nightwind - October 3, 2008 01:01 AM (GMT)
Sighing, she saw that the man was looking at her too. She must know him, but if she did, it had to have been years since she last met him. She grumbled under her breath, and took one last drink of her odd flower like water, then stood up, someone had to approach first. She basically slouched as she walked towards the man, weaving gently as she walked towards the table the man was at, and when she made it there, she stood across from him, her eyes narrowing slightly.
"Well, if I'm gonna make a fool of myself, I'd better do it now." She grumbled to herself. "So, do I know you? You look terrible familiar, and if I don't find out, I will end up killing my self with the horrible curiosity." She said, folding her arms, eyes tinted with annoyance. She cocked her head at the man, her thoughts wandering, trying to remember, but still, nothing came to the young dragon.
She hoped that he was someone she knew, if she didn't, and she made a fool of herself, she would probably accidently tear this tavern apart, but that will only happen if she lets her anger go overboard. She studied the mans face as she waited for a answer.
Romanus - October 3, 2008 01:07 AM (GMT)
He watched her get up and walk towards him, and smiled slightly. It meant he did not have to approach her first, which he had been about to do. He listened to her question him, and thought back to his time in Imythess, if he had met anyone like her. She was quite lovely, and so he was sure he would have remembered her, but as it was, he could not place her for the life of him. "You do look terribly familiar to me, but I cannot place it. Your hair especially, with the green in it, reminds me of some lost friend, but again I do not recall having met you. Perhaps you will recognize me first?"
"I came to Imythess many years ago, and during my short time here, met but a few people. So it boggles the mind as to why I cannot remember such a lovely creature as yourself. I left this land though after only a short time, so perhaps you can remember some friend or acquaintance that you knew and then who disappeared?" He sighed slightly, recalling his sudden departure from Imythess, and felt saddened that he had been unable to tell his few friends that he was leaving. But his reasons had been well put, and so he felt no remorse for his actions, only his hastiness.
Nightwind - October 3, 2008 01:22 AM (GMT)
Sava listened to him speak, but still she was at a loss. She thne pulled out a chair, without asking and slumped back into it, her black green eyes never wavering from the man. Do she reminded him of a friend, that was goo,d then it was a huge chance that she knew him, but her memories of the past just kept to fade away for some reason, like something was trying to make her forget, something must have happened then, something she hadn't been happy about, or feared terribly. She closed her eyes a moment, remembering something. Fear. Helplessness. Her eyes snapped open. She had to many of those times.
"I have many friends who have disappeared..." She mumbled, then it seemed to click. Taras, being chased by guards, getting wounded... again, but someone helping her. She stared at the man, eyes widening slightly. She remember most of her friends, and what they looked like, but now she remembered. She stared at him, unable to say anything for a few moments, then a smile split over her face.
"If your name isn't Romanus, I'm gonna kill you." She said, her eyes not kidding about the killing part.
Romanus - October 3, 2008 01:32 AM (GMT)
He smiled, realizing she had correctly identified him, and laughed at her threat, but understood that she meant it. "You are indeed correct about my name, for it is Romanus. However, could you possibly give me some hint as to your identity? I am afraid my memory fails me at this time, for my travels have wearied me, and I have gained much new knowledge while I was away." He continued to stare at her, trying to recall who she was, but it just would not come to him, no matter what he did. It was rather annoying, to tell the truth, but there was nothing he could do about it, and hoped that she would be able to remind him. He kept running through his mind, trying to recall all the meetings and events that had occured during his short stay in Imythess.
(OOC: Sorry it's so short, but I didn't want to ramble on for too long about pretty much nothing.)
Nightwind - October 3, 2008 03:26 AM (GMT)
When he said she got his name right, she grinned and laughed with joy. She had been dying to meet some of her old friends again and here she was, finally with someone she knew from when she had first come to Imythess, now she just needed to meet her closest friend of all, Shain, how she missed him, but she refused to let anything like that ever show. She smiled at Romanus, as he could still not remember her.
"Ah, human memories, I always hear there not the best, but I feel a little stupid now, seeing here, a supposed highly intelligent dragon not being able to remember her friends name." She laughed. "I am Savarkael Nightwind, but when I first came here, and to friends, I am known as Sava. We met in Taras, I was shot in my human form," she set a hand on her gut where the arrow had hit her some many nights ago she couldn't count. "You got me to the healer. I feel ashamed at how weak I seemed that night." She shuddered slightly.
She leaned on the table, her elbows on it, and her head resting on the back of her hands. "Now do you remember?" Sava asked, smirking now.
Romanus - October 3, 2008 03:48 AM (GMT)
Romanus gasped slightly as he remembered her. How could he have forgotten her, his first real friend here? He almost felt ashamed for not remembering earlier, but then smiled as he recalled their coincendential meeting in Taras. He recalled his taking her to the healers as well, which was strange, since he normally did not go out of his way to help others unless necessary. But it was good that he had, for here now was his one friend in this land that he knew of. "Sava! How could I have forgotten you? Oh, how have you been these what, five years?" He smiled immensely as he took a swig of his water, pleased with the turn of events that had occured. He could not believe that after so long, she remembered him.
Nightwind - October 3, 2008 04:01 AM (GMT)
"Sava! How could I have forgotten you? Oh, how have you been these what, five years?"
Her smile broke wider as he remembered, and she leaned back in her chair, letting her hands rest in her lap now. She frowned slightly at his question. How has she been? Terrible, it was wonderful to be here, but at the same time, the events that happened in the past scared her, she felt stupid for what all seemed to unfold, it felt like she blamed herself for everyone's problems, but more so for her own weakness, letting Fios back into her life was the worst mistake she had done and now look how she was, pregnant, and wanting to destroy him, and herself afterward. If she ever ran into that moon elf again, death will be his fate.
But she smiled still. "I've been great, just a few stab wounds here and there, some pretty major at times, but hey, I'm still here, so I must be fine." She said, her laugh coming again, but she mentally kicked herself for how weak it sounded to her ears.
"How about you, old friend?" She asked.
Romanus - October 3, 2008 04:14 AM (GMT)
He frowned slightly when she mentioned stab wounds, understanding it wasn't literal of course, but was slightly worried. "May I inquire as to what the wounds were?" He knew she most likely would not answer his question, but he was concerned nonetheless. He laughed slightly when she asked about him. "Oh, you know. I'm still alive, so I must have been all right. I left pretty suddenly, sorry I didn't say good-bye. But my travels were good, they definitely changed me, for the better. I would have to say that it was a smart move on my part, especially seeing how things have turned out here, with Taras destroyed and the Gods gone. Glad I missed that." He frowned, thinking of hearing of the destruction of Taras, where they had met.
Nightwind - October 3, 2008 04:30 AM (GMT)
"May I inquire as to what the wounds were?"
She waved a dismissal hand. "Nothing to bad, just from little scuffles." She said. She had been hurt so many times, sometimes she couldn't feel the pain anymore, and the scars, she had too many, but it never bothered her. She turned her attention to Romanus again, he apologized for not saying goodbye, but who said goodbye these days? So many of her friends had left with no thoughts of saying "bye", but she didn't mind, she had been busy, trying to stay on good terms with the elves and humans, trying to keep her sadistic mother at bay.
Her eyes darkened at the thought of Taras being destroyed. She had met half her friends there, and she wished she had been there when it was destroyed, to crush those demons in her claws.
"Ive been changed too, I'm not as weak as I was when we met, so don't expect to ever carry me to the healers again. And it was sad for me to find out about Taras, I had been... busy then, I didn't hear the news for a few days after, my head maid Mary had informed me. I have to admit, it wasn't the greatest news for me to hear when I return home." She said, sighing. She had completely ignored the mention of gods. Sava had never believed in the gods, to her, they were fools, looking for slaves to rule over, she couldn't stand for they're religious crap.
She then perked to something different. "Ooh, I have a house now, got it a year after you left, its a nice palace, near the Memphian falls, lovely place, its nice to have a big home. So on your travels and you need somewhere to stay, my door is always open to friends." Sava smiled, eyes lightening.
Romanus - October 3, 2008 04:50 AM (GMT)
He laughed as he recalled their meeting again, remembering carrying her towards the healers, and smiled recalling how he had enjoyed her company, even if she ad been wounded at the time. "I would never consider you needing to be taken to the healers again. I was quite surprised you did in the first place, to be honest. Especially after learning what you truly are." He smiled at the mention of her house, and her offer of hospitality. "I thank you for the offer of hospitality. If I ever pass by, I shall be certain to visit. I wish I could return the offer, but I live with my travels. I couldn't think of settling down to any one spot for a prolonged period of time, it just isn't fitting." He smiled again.
"Ah, it's just great to see you, Sava. I was worried I wouldn't find anyone to befriend once I returned, but here you are, and you're already a friend!" He finished his bread, and asked the maid to bring him some more, and she went after it, laughing slightly at his appetitite. She brought it back to him, and some more water as well, and he thanked her.
Nightwind - October 3, 2008 05:08 AM (GMT)
She laughed. "Yeah well... like I said, I'm stronger now. Before... the wound was to much, and I was near panic, so I couldn't concentrate on changing." She said, shrugging. She hated that night, and the nightmares then didn't help. She listened to Romanus again, and knew what he was talking about, and nodded slightly. "I know that. I've been traveling since I was in my 30's, I was so young then, I stopped for a time, for ten years, then from 64, all I did was travel, it got tiring, I needed a change. I'm sure you'll settle down sometime, I've never known a human that did nothing but wander aimlessly forever." She said, thinking of that time, and trying to banish the thoughts of those ten cruel years with Fios.
"Ah, it's just great to see you, Sava. I was worried I wouldn't find anyone to befriend once I returned, but here you are, and you're already a friend!"
"Imythess is a huge land, I'm sure there's plenty of others who you'd become friends with, but, Imythess has been a bit more dangerous then before, lots of demons about lately. If on your journeys, if you ever meet Eliel, he's a real good friend of mine, let him know I want another duel, the last one never finished." And grinned then, a playful glint flashing through her eyes. Eliel had to be the only one who could match her easily, they still had to see who was the better one without magic to ad them.
Romanus - October 3, 2008 05:29 AM (GMT)
He nodded, understanding, remembering how she had been hurt, and their flight through the city. "Well, the important thing is that we got you to the Healing Hall, and Bloodseal as well. If we had been caught by the guards, who knows what would have happened." He laughed when she said he'd settle down eventually. "Well, you haven't known many people like me, either. Maybe I'll settle down, but I think that the only way that'll happen is if I find myself a wife, and honestly, who would want to marry a man like mysef? Ex-gladiator, wanted for murder in some far off land, and never stops travelling? Makes for a great husband." He smiled sadly at the thought, realizing he may be alone for the rest of his life, except for any friends, but that wasn't enough. Humans desired companionship, he knew, and he had none.
He laughed again when she mentioned her friend Eliel, and their duel. "No worries, Sava, I shall let Eliel know if I ever come across him. Although, as you say, Imythess is large, so who knows if I shall even ever meet him?" He took a bite of his bread, smiling with satisfaction at the quality of the elven bread and marvelling at how no matter how much he had it was still good.
Nightwind - October 3, 2008 04:17 PM (GMT)
She knew what would happen if they had been caught, they would have found out she was the dragon, they would have killed her instantly, thinking they would have been doing the world a favor, but they would have been wrong, her mother Sheva would be in a rage if her last daughter was killed, her mother has never gotten to punish Sava for killing all her siblings. She pushed the thoughts out of her head, that was long ago.
She smiled slightly, almost weakly when he spoke who would marry someone like him, and she felt bad how humans lives were so unbearably short, it would be a sad day indeed when he was gone and Sava was still walking, one reason why she tried to avoid relationships with humans and other short lived races. She then shrugged lightly. "Imythess is a place to start a new life. Not many will care that you were once a gladiator, now the murder part might be a little fuzzy, but... well, you never know what can happen." She shrugged.
She then smiled. "Maybe you will meet him, and maybe you won't." She merely said. She then sighed, and leaned back more, her eyes looking at the ceiling for a moment, before they flicked back to Romanus. "So... why did you have to leave so suddenly? If you don't want to say, you don't have too."
Romanus - October 3, 2008 07:33 PM (GMT)
He smiled when she said he never knew what might happen. "Most certainly, but I am quite certain any woman I were to meet would be hard pressed to accept me after the things I have done." He sighed, thinking about his life as a whole, and realizing he had not accomplished much thus far except killing. Not necessarily the best of accomplishments, either. "As for a new life, my new life has not been much better than my old, to be honest. All I seem to have done is get into trouble since I got here the first time, which is not much different than before."
He smiled slightly when she asked why he had left so suddenly. "To be honest with you, I am not quite sure what caused me to leave so suddenly. I just got the feeling that I had to, you know? I spent the first year or so just kindof wandering around, avoiding major cities and settlements. After that year though, I could not avoid them any longer, for armies began to move about the lands I was in. Cities became safe havens for me, until one night I got drafted into an army. The army life......not for me, I can say that much. I did all right though, got promoted, but then one night....." He shuddered to remember that night. "Anyways, after that, I fled even farther, deserted my post. I found some peace for a while, but then I got this feeling that I should come back here, and so I did."
Nightwind - October 5, 2008 04:42 AM (GMT)
How similar they seemed. Both had tried new lives, but with hers, she has gotten far, but she always got into trouble, chased by dragon slayers almost day and night, chased out of major cities by guards, and being rejected by almost every race, even her own. But, she didn't care much, if they didn't accept her, she would just keep fighting, she has a place in the cities and other places as much as those who live there do, and she wouldn't give up lightly to just go sulk in the caves. She decided not to say anything on that matter, because it would sound like what she has been the past few sentences, just that anything could happen, and it could, just like what happened to her with Fios.
She then listened to the story he told about being drafted into the army, and she smirked slightly. The army life, after seeing how the moon elf she once called a lover turned out, she never wanted to set foot in a army.
"Interesting story... I didn't know many places that still did that, unless they're so desperate. I've had quite a few friends go into the army, most of them didn't come back though, the ones that did though..." She shudder slightly, thinking of Daluec, how he killed his own little brother, then of Feyavve, Fios said that he lost more then just his mind. But she heard it was cruel war.
((OOC: not the best, but meh >.>...))
Romanus - October 6, 2008 12:52 AM (GMT)
Romanus smiled slightly when she mentioned not many places drafting anymore. "Oh, there are some. My homeland does still, for instance. Of course, that was not what happened to me, but it happens. As for the land I was in....I never could understand their ways. Foreigners can be so confusing sometimes. You know what I mean?" He shook his head slightly, recalling an incident when a family had tried to make him marry their seventeen year old daughter just because he had helped them round up their lost livestock. He laughed at the way they had reacted when he refused their offer. "Very confusing. Anyhow, anything of note happen to you while I was away? I feel like I've come back to find nothing the same, even though most of it is."
He finished his bread, and smiled in yet more satisfaction. He would definitely have to come back here, if only for the bread. It was so delicious, he could not help but eat more. He drank some water, then looked about the room in simple contentedness.
(OOC: No need to apologize, mine vary in quality.)
Nightwind - October 6, 2008 01:08 AM (GMT)
"...You know what I mean?"
She smiled, nodding. She had been to many lands, and so many were different, like the moon elf land where Daluec came from, even where she came from, and here, Imythess has been so... different, but since it was her home now, everything was fine, nothing was strange anymore. She then looked away from Romanus when he asked if there was anything to note that happened to her. She bit her bottom lip, eyes looking troubled for a few moments. To tell him or not. She kept so many secrets, that no one ever would find out, she had once considered telling Shain, but he had lost most of his memory of her, but keeping her being pregnant was different, she couldn't keep it a secret forever she knew.
Sighing, her eyes cleared and she looked at Romanus again, a weak smile on her features again.
"Actually... um, not sure if I should tell people or not, only one other knows. I got pregnant while you were gone, never meant to though... completely by accident." She said. Better to have more people know, then to have another secret, and whenever her child was had, she couldn't keep it from the world all the time, especially when it will be old enough to travel itself.
"And my mother is out to get me, luckily she hasn't found me yet, almost did." She said, shrugging as if it wasn't really important.
Romanus - October 6, 2008 01:38 AM (GMT)
Romanus was quite shocked at her pregnancy. Of course, he knew that it happened all the time to people, but that did not make it any less surprising. "You're....pregnant? So.....how long till the child is born? Will it be human or dragon? What are you going to do once the child is born?" He knew it was a great deal of questions, but he was just so surprised, he couldn't keep them in. He hoped she would not tak offense at his reaction though, he really valued what friendship they had left after his absence. He wouldn't be surprised if she deemed not to tell him, and wouldn't be offended, either.
He was not so surprised that her mother wanted to get her, from what he remembered. Although he was not sure how dragon customs were, so he would never guess the reasoning either. He took a drink of his water. "So, why is your mother out to get you? Did you offend her in some manner?" He was curious as to what could offend a dragon, but he supposed a great many things could. He deemed it wise not to find out on his own, though.
Nightwind - October 6, 2008 02:25 AM (GMT)
"You're....pregnant? So.....how long till the child is born? Will it be human or dragon? What are you going to do once the child is born?"
She smiled. She didn't expect anything less then this. She took a deep breath and smiled a bit better this time, a more happier smile, even if she was dreading the time the child would come. "Sadly its true... The child won't be born for a whole year now, and it will be half-dragon, half... moon elf. The poor thing won't be accepted by others..." She mumbled the last part. "I have no idea what I'm going to do when it is born... having a child was really not a plan I had in mind." She said, sighing. She had been happy how she was, now, everything was changing, her plans now gone.
"So, why is your mother out to get you? Did you offend her in some manner?"
She smiled. "Its a bit of a secret why shes after me. I can tell you though, that it is probably the worst crime then you ever committed. So yeah, I offended her, big time." She said, smiling slightly, a odd, almost sadistic glint seemed to flash through her strange eyes. Sava had constantly ruined her mothers plans, her mother Sheva never wanted her children killed, and defiantly didn't expect it from the runt. And then the killing of Jrake, Sheva's mate, that wasn't good for her plans either, and somehow it made Sava happy to think of what she had done.
Romanus - October 6, 2008 02:36 AM (GMT)
He smiled sadly at the though of a half dragon, half moon elf. The child would be shunned by both races, and others besides. The child may even resent his or her parents for causing it to be born, even if it was by accident. He felt a sort of pity for the child. "Well, I can see what you mean about the child. If you ever need help with the child, just let me know. I'll do what I can to help you out." He had always had a soft spot for children, though he would never let anyone know that. But he also wanted to help his friend, and that was the only way he knew he could. But perhaps she would not need help. Time only could tell.
He frowned slightly at her explanation of her mother. Crimes worse than he had committed? He was unsure how to take that, for he had committed a great many during his time, both of his will and against it. "Well, I won't pry then. Hopefully she doesn't catch you, is all I can say. Especially with a child on the way." He asked the maid for some more water, and gulped down what was left of his current cup. He wondered how family systems worked within dragon culture, but decided that it may not be the best question to ask, and kept it to himself.
Nightwind - October 7, 2008 01:39 AM (GMT)
She was grateful that he said he would help as much as possible, but she probably wouldn't need the help, seeing as Sava met someone who seemed more the willing to help, but she was still grateful. She noticed his slight frown, and smiled slightly. Might be hard to believe, but she has been alive for a hundred and twenty one years, and for her it wasn't that hard to do something wrong, especially with all the dragon slayers she's killed, most by accidents though.
"Well, I won't pry then. Hopefully she doesn't catch you, is all I can say. Especially with a child on the way."
Sava smiled again. "If she does, even with a child, I won't be easy to take down." She said. After that she stayed silent a while, her eyes glancing about the tavern a moment, taking everything in again. She then looked at Romanus for a few moments, before speaking.
"So, since your a big time wanderer, where are you heading?" Sava asked in a casual way. Her voice seeming to hold little interest.

He laughed slightly. Big time wanderer? Perhaps, but he had never heard that one before. Sava certainly had a way with words, it would seem "Wherever the winds of fate blow me. I'm planning on going to Kellen, but who knows if that's where I'll end up? Right now I'm kindof looking for a job, more than anything. You know?" Mercenary life was tough, but he didn't have any real skills except fighting, so this was how it would be. He didn't mind it. He rather enjoyed it actually, for the most part. It was something he was good at, and who couldn't be proud of their skills? He smiled at the though, then looked at Sava. "What about you, where are you off to next? Home?"

She smiled again. She knew how that was, once she left the wizards house it was all she did. Though, she wasn't a mercenary, she didn't look for jobs at all. When he asked where she was headed, she shrugged, sighing. She didn't know where. Taras was gone, she wanted to go to the Song of Elves tavern inn again, she had many friends and normally a lot were there, but now, it was burnt to the ground.
"I really don't know... maybe I'll go to the mountains to my cave... I have a few things to add to my hoard." She said, and smiled. She looked to the maid, and gestured her hand, and the maid came over. "Can you get me that...flower like water stuff the bartender gave me...?" She asked, and the maid merely smiled and went to get her drink. After a little bit, she came back with a cup of the strange liquid. Sava looked at the watery stuff a moment before taking a drink of it.
"Bad thing about being pregnant. Not allowed to have any wine or ale." She grumbled.

Romanus nodded. He was slightly curious as to what those things might be, but decided it was probably wiser not to ask. Who knew with dragons. He smiled at her comment about not being able to drink while pregnant. "It's better for the child. And you really don't need to drink in the first place, fogs the mind. I don't drink, myself. Just water is good for me." He ended this by taking a drink of the water the maid had brought him. He did love the simplicity and refreshingness of water. "I wonder who even made wine and ale? Or why? Water is perfectly fine, why make something else?"
(Sorry it's short...)

Sava smirked slightly. Yeah, better for the child, but it caused her great annoyance, but she found it funny how he said alcohol fogs the mind and she shook her head lightly. "Poor humans and the others with weaker immune systems. I've never gotten drunk from to much wine or ale. Give me bottle fulls, but I guarantee you, the only way to get a dragon drunk would be to give it barrels full of wine..." She said grinning. In the past, she had won many drinking games.
"I wonder who even made wine and ale? Or why? Water is perfectly fine, why make something else?"
"Pff, your insane. Without wine and ale, dragons will be on rampages all the time." She laughed. She took a long drink of her odd flowery water again. Her eyes watching Romanus a moment, and wondered how he could stand just water, but it mattered little, and she pushed away the thoughts.
"I wonder how many kids I'll have... when I was a mere wyrmling, I had nine other siblings in one hatching. Since my child will be half-dragon, it is highly likely that I'll have more then one..." She said, sounding like she was talking to herself mainly, then she shrugged.
