Title: Content Question

A key plot point for my character is her being "taken in force", so to speak. While I have no intention of describing nor elaborating on such a thing, would the tactful mention of it in the process of a topic (i.e., the fade-to-black principle) be acceptable?

Rothardan - September 29, 2008 08:55 AM (GMT)
I'm afraid not.
Being "taken by force" is such content that we do not allow on the public forums. You can say it happened later on, but you can not roleplay it. Not even by using the "fade to black" method.

One thing I think should be allowed if it just alludes to it. You can say that she was taken by force by a group of people. But what is your plan of the black out seen, if she wakes up with no clothes or something like that - not the right forum to describe that stuff, unless you want to PM someone. But if you just included that in her bio or history I'd be fine with it.

There are many ways to describe what you are talking about happening to a character. My suggestion is you use that creative mind to work it out without even saying "taken by force" but hint around it. You are going to be walking a very fine line and if it were me, I would skirt as far around it as possible.

I was going to do something along the lines of:

A content-free conversation, wherein the man says something, "I don't care who you are, or what you want. I always get what I pursue."

Then I would say something like:

QUOTE
And of the things that happened that night, there may be no mention, for there are acts too abominable for even the bravest bard to recount.

The next morning, as Sol sat curled up in the corner, trembling with fear, pain, and sorrow, he came to her, grabbing her arm, and dragged her out of the house.

She'd be full clothed at any point, of course.

Something like that be better?

That is very well put. You'll need an OK from Rothardan, but that is well played.

Rothardan - September 29, 2008 06:14 PM (GMT)
That's fine.
Great work ^_^

Thanks. ^_^
