Title: Not Expected

Ever since that torturous day with Fios, being quite helpless, Sava had been disgusted with herself. She had spent several days in the mountains, doing nothing but laying there, looking at the lands below, wanting to crush all under her claw, during that time, she almost felt how her mother did, wanting to destroy the stupid elves and other "less intelligent" creatures out there. Sava though, just wanted to destroy the moon elves, they only brought trouble, especially Fios. She had left the mountains after a couple weeks, deciding that she should finally get out and about. So she went home, and sat in her room for hours on end, rarely leaving. She wondered during those days how could she show her face out to the world just to show how weak she was at controlling her emotions when she was helpless.
Even now she wasn't far from home, only a couple miles, if one had elven sight, then you could see one slender marble tower poking out of the tree tops.
The worst wasn't just about her emotions, it was the thing inside her. Getting pregnant was not one of her goals in life, she would have been happy to grow old without a lover, and without children. The lover part had worked out fine, but the children part, not so great. It was sort of hard to tell she was pregnant. Her belly wasn't that big, but that was because of her dragon heritage, in a few days, or weeks, she will go to the mountains to a small cave that she had taken for a second home, and stashed a horde there, then she would lay a egg or eggs. It would sound odd to a human, and it did to her, especially since the child or children will be half-dragon. She already saw a sad future for them.
She wasn't cut out to be a mother, it wasn't what she wanted. When she had her child, how would she raise it? She had no experience as a mother, and her mother never told her anything about it, why would Sheva? She nearly killed her daughter. Sava still remembered that terrible day as if it was yesterday, but she had been so young, but the flames were etched into her mind forever.
Sava now walked from her home, heading towards the line of trees that circled loosely around the lake. She wore a black dress, one that Mary, her head servant had made. It was beautiful, and long, it had bell sleeves that reached a little past her arms, and had a V cut around her neck, sadly, it made her larger belly quite visible, but Sava loved her servants that knew her secret, they were loyal to her, and were helping as best they could to get their master through her miserable days.
Sava strolled down a small path, her bare feet lightly touching the path as she went. Her oddly colored hair blowing lightly in the cool breeze. She listened to the roar of the waterfall as she walked on. The familiar noise calming her anger.

((OoC: Aha. Only took me a week. >.>;; Sorry about how much time it took and double sorry for the craptasticness...))

“Damn it…”
Her gaze lifted from the ground to peer up at the sky, a grunt lifting from her throat. Cordelia knew that her sense of direction, much like her sense of time and any other perception she might have had, was not the best – but did that mean she had to go and get herself lost? Norwood had been her intention and in the process she had found herself near the falls. Normally her sense of direction wasn’t this bad; it shouldn’t have been, in fact, not with what she was. Cordelia turned to look over her shoulder, only to be met with the sight of the meadow behind her and multiple trees.
Cursing, Cordelia’s neck snapped back and she began her trek again, deciding that she might as well get to the falls to coordinate herself. Being around water made her somewhat uneasy, but now that she was out here it wasn’t like she had much of a choice. It wasn’t like she planned on going right up to the edge and peering down to see her lack of a reflection. Identity problems didn’t worry her as much as they used to, not when she was so overly confident in who and what she was, but the inability to see herself was still enough to make her uneasy.
However, a familiar feeling washed over her, causing her to slow in her pace. It was something welcoming, something that called out and drew her in. Recognition came immediately and a smirk pulled at her lips; if she was going to be lost, then she might as well be able to feed to make up for the tragedy. Her once slowed pace returned to an average gait, each step taken with a certain degree of inhuman deliberateness.
As she neared the figure of the woman came into sight and Cordelia bit her lip, not bothering to wonder how to handle this one. She shook her head once to free her line of vision from hair and her thumbs hooked onto her belt as she straightened up to her full height. She cleared her throat a single time, making sure not to overdo it with volume but that it was also clear that the other woman wasn’t alone.
“Well now, look at what we have here,” she said. “You know, it’s a really a shame how there’s no where in Imythess that’s safe, isn’t it? Can’t go anywhere without having to watch over your shoulder, not even a lake.” Her left arm lifted away from her side, gesturing to the water. Cordelia began to walk toward her, her steps a bit more cautious than they had been previously. Her eyes scanned Sava’s visage, trying to get some sort of idea on how the woman would react, on what strengths or weaknesses she might possess. It wasn’t something she could tell from appearance alone, though, not with this one; but there was something that seemed mildly out of place.
“But that all depends on what you consider dangerous and if you’re smart. Sad to say you didn’t really make the best decision, coming here tonight. What a pity. At least I made a good choice though, so no need to be sad – one of still wins.” Her smirk became stronger, revealing her fangs, and a soft, humming laughter rose from her throat. “But hell, I’m nice. I’ll allot you ten seconds beg and grovel if you think it will help you any. Actually, make that five seconds… I’m hungry.”

She made it to the waters edge after a little bit, and when she made it there, he stood still, looking over the water, looking at her reflection. As always, she expected to see a draconic reflection, but instead saw the human her. She lifted a hand playing with a strand of green hair that had a couple hairs of black in it. She sighed, and started walking along the edge of the water a moment, her eyes never straying from the eyes of her on the reflection. But then she sensed something near by. She stopped once more, her gaze still upon the water as she listened and waited. Then she heard someone clear their throat, but she still hadn't moved a inch, her muscles merely tensed.
“Well now, look at what we have here,” she said. “You know, it’s a really a shame how there’s no where in Imythess that’s safe, isn’t it? Can’t go anywhere without having to watch over your shoulder, not even a lake.”
Sava then turned to look at the other woman, cocking her head to the side slightly. She then realized how helpless she looked right now, wearing a dress with not a single weapon on her. Normally this place was safe, but Sava knew better then to let her guard down for to long. No emotion played over her features as she watched the other woman advance. Sava noticed the fangs, but just barely, but when the vampiress laughed, Sava could only smile slightly, amusement slipping easily into her eyes.
“But hell, I’m nice. I’ll allot you ten seconds beg and grovel if you think it will help you any. Actually, make that five seconds… I’m hungry.”
Now it was Sava's turn to laugh. "Beg and grovel for five seconds? Do I look that weak and helpless for a need to beg? You lucky I'm not that offense by your behavior, girl." The dragon said, her voice light and friendly. "But its enough to make me want to tear someone apart." She hissed, taking a few steps towards the woman. She then stopped, and opened her arms wide. "Go ahead. Try to feed off me." She said, smiling.

Oh wow, she had actually had the guts to fight back! It was a rare thing to find a person who genuinely wasn’t afraid of her. Cordelia could feel when people were afraid and she didn’t get that sense with this woman, which not only picked at her curiosity but also sucked most of the fun out of this. What was the point of feeding from her if she wasn’t even going to cower and spew pointless reasons to spare her life…?
But Cordelia had been taught to play with her food, so she wasn’t giving up just yet. She snickered, lifting her eyebrows. “A verbal war… admirable, but I’m afraid it won’t do you any good, honey,” she said. “You should be lucky I’m more intrigued than offended – you’re the one who doesn’t have any weapons on you right now. Face it; you’re the one who needs to worry here, not me. I could kill you in an instant and you’d be able to do nothing, so shut that pretty mouth of yours and cut all the crap talk. It gives me a headache.” Just to emphasize this point, Cordelia lifted a hand to head and rubbed her temple, closing her eyes for a moment and sighing.
But after that moment had passed she opened her eyes again, laughing quietly. At least part of what Sava had said was true – she was lucky, in a way. It wasn’t everyday that she came across a helpless little damsel in distress who tried to act tough but didn’t have anything to back it up. In that aspect they were a little bit alike… but Cordelia had come a long way in the last few months and she wasn’t about to get close with her prey. Her laugh slowly gained in volume until it became a cackle and Cordelia shook her head, trying to end the laughter before it got too out of hand.
Once Sava began to walk toward her Cordelia did the same, her steps methodical, a wicked grin prominent upon her features. Cordelia however didn’t stop walking and in anything her steps became more menacing. Her head cocked off to the side and at one point she branched off to sort of go in a semi-circle around the other woman, not wanting to get too close to the water but still wanting to try and size her up.
“So what’s your name anyway, hmm? And what would a poor defenseless creature like yourself be doing all the way out here on your lonesome?” Her tone was one of mock pity, emphasizing all the words that would make Sava seem weak. Cordelia sneered then, not seeing the harm in playing this just for a little while.

This was fun. This fool needed a couple lessons in manners. She watched the woman talk, her own eyes dancing with amusement. This one was going to get in so much trouble when she finds out Sava is a dragon. She was amazed at how much she did look like a damsel. She looked down at her dress, and brushed a wrinkle out of it as Cordelia spoke, and she acted as if bored. She looked up when the woman imitated a headache. Then laugh. The laugh grew louder then stopped.
"Your funny, girl. But I'm getting bored fast." She smiled. She folded her arms, eyes growing cold.
“So what’s your name anyway, hmm? And what would a poor defenseless creature like yourself be doing all the way out here on your lonesome?”
"Names Savarkael Nightwind. And creature I am, but defenseless I am not. And I'm bored." She hissed. Her skin then seemed to ripple, and changed. In seconds, she was on her hands and knees, her body growing. Her hands and legs grew into claws, her body grew larger, and scales grew over her body. In a minute, she was a full dragon. She looked at the woman, then roared into the sky. Then glared at the woman. Sava lifted a claw, then with the back of the claw, knocked the woman over, then put her clawed foot over her, pinning her down.
She then brought her head lower, a grin seemed to place itself on her draconic face.
"Should I beg and grovel now?"
Cordelia Brooks - October 19, 2008 04:45 PM (GMT)
Before she knew it and before she could defend herself, Cordelia was locked under the claw of a dragon, staring wide-eyed up at the thing. The breath had been knocked out of her from being pushed over like that, and there was a sharp, stinging pain in her side. Oh, if this lizard had broken her bones Cordelia was not going to let this thing live! She had a name now, she had a name and if anymore harm came to her Cordelia would track her down and hack her little scales apart and skewer her innards.
She grit her teeth as Savarkael leaned closer, grinding her head into the dirt to try and get her head as far away as possible. “Oh, for the love of god, could you back that ugly mouth of yours away a little bit? The smell of your breath is incredibly nauseating and I don’t think you want blood thrown up on your claw. So maybe you should just get off of me entirely, considering I didn’t do a single thing to provoke this behavior.” Cordelia glared then and growled at her. Doubting her request would be granted by such an aggressive creature, Cordelia searched her mind until a few spells came into mind.
The first she casted was blink. Cordelia flickered away from under Savarkael’s claw, managing to get herself a safe distance away. Anywhere was safe after nearly being crushed by a dragon. Cordelia hissed in pain when she found herself on her feet, a searing pain in her ribs still. She grabbed onto a nearby tree for support, her gaze drifting back to the lizard, her lips lifted in a snarl.
“Now, now, now… do you really want to begin a fight here, Nightwind?” she asked, positioning herself to the best of her ability to hide that she was clutching her side. There wasn’t a chance in hell that she could fight a dragon and she knew that, but she could at least try to sound intimidating. “I think I deserve a friggin’ apology; that hurt! Who do you think you are, trapping poor, innocent vampires under your claw?! That’s incredibly unnecessary and cruel!” Cordelia was no one to lecture another on what was unnecessary and cruel, but she could still go right on ahead and rant like she always did. “Who do you think you are, anyway? You’re nothing but an over-grown iguana! A mean one at that, damn… what’s your problem, woman?!”
Nightwind - November 8, 2008 05:11 AM (GMT)
How interesting. It appear the woman didn't fear her that much, but Sava was sure that there had to be fear underneath all the cruelty the woman had. When she spoke of Sava's breath, she laughed, the strange noise from her throat that never sounded much like laughter, but, she still back her head away slightly, but kept her hard eyes on the vampire. Sometimes, she wouldn't do so, but, Sava wasn't as cruel as her mother, and well, blood always got annoying to deal with, especially if it got into the cracks of her scales.
Suddenly the woman disappear from her claw. Sava cursed in draconic and looked over to where the woman went, and a smile once more wound its way on her scaled face, which seemed like more of a malicious grin, but smiles were hard to place on a dragon.
“Now, now, now… do you really want to begin a fight here, Nightwind?”
Sava could barely contain her laughter as the woman ranted on. A amused looked flashed in her eyes, and the dragon crouched down, half sitting and half laying, watchful eyes staring at the woman go on, and on and on...
“Who do you think you are, anyway? You’re nothing but an over-grown iguana! A mean one at that, damn… what’s your problem, woman?!”
She cocked her head to the side, a soft laugh managing to come out of the dragon, and her eyes seemed to grow darker. "Now, now, little vampire. I'm pretty sure I wasn't the one threatening to kill me, or was all that "intimidating" and talk about how no where is safe in Imythess, just for show? You had seemed to be pretty dead set on killing me." She said, smiling. "I'm merely defending myself... I would think one like yourself wouldn't mind, don't vampires normally like a fight?"
She sighed and laid her large head on the ground and fully laid down, her eyes still watching the vampire, almost like how the hunter watched its prey, dark eyes never wavering from those of the other.
"I can kill you now, vampire, whenever I want too, I can kill you so fast, you wouldn't even notice... so I suggest you shut that mouth of yours, and show respect to this over-grown iguana." She said, and waited a moment before speaking once more, her voice still seeming soft compared to her large size. "Whats your name, vampire?"
