Sava stumbled by the trees. She caught onto one to keep from falling, then pushed on, trying to go as fast as possible. Around her neck was a tight looking necklace sort of, it was a iron band, wrapped tightly around her neck, it would be impossible to take off by herself, and she might need a mage to do it without having it hurt her. It felt cool about her neck, sending a spasm of shudders down her spine as she stumbled along. There was a stab wound in her right leg, and another wound in her shoulder. And there were several scratches on her arms. Blood and sweat drenched her clothes. The dress felt heavier on her shoulders and she tried to get to safety.
Behind her, the sounds of tracking dogs, and men followed behind her, but she was always one step ahead, well, at least she tried to. Her footsteps were heavy, it seemed like every time she lifted a foot, she wouldn't want to move it on. But she managed to trudge on, but barely. Her breath was in ragged gasp of pain, and fear.
The iron band kept her from changing into her draconic form, so she was helpless. Even is she could, the iron band would cut into her skin as she change, and sever her neck.
She had no weapons with her, and Blackquill was at home, along with her umbras. She had none of her friends, and no one to help her. Needing a break, even though she knew she couldn't, she slumped against a tree, catching her breath. She leaned her head against the trees bark, letting her black and green hair fall about her. She wished she could just fall asleep, and she almost let it come, but the dragon-slayers would find her... easily. She straightened again, and pushed onward. Focusing only on escaping. She needed to get home. Home.
Just then, she stumbled over a old branch on the ground and she would have fallen but someone caught her and held her close. She looked up, barely making out the figure looking down at her in the dark. She noticed though, that he had dark grim blue eyes. Fios pulled a strand of her hair away from her face and behind her ear, a slight smile slipping on his face, but the bark of a dog broke his attention away from the dragon woman and to the lights of lanterns not to far away. He turned, slipping a arm around her waist, and let her put her arm around his neck, then he half-carried into the woods further, to where his horse Seer awaited. Upon seeing them, the horse neighed in joy, unknowing alerting the dragon-slayers where Sava was.
Fios quickly helped Sava into the saddle, and prepared to get on too, till one of the slayers broke from the trees into the small clearing. He sat on a warhorse, a large mace raised. He charged at the moon elf, who slapped Seer's back, and got her to trot away with Sava. Fios, pulled out a two-handed longsword. The warhorse was almost upon him as he jumped to the side, and slashed at the saddle straps that held it in place, he would have got them cut, but the slayer brought his mace down, smashing Fios' longsword in half. He dropped the half he held, shocked, then looked up as the slayer turned his warhorse around, and went for another charge at Fios.
This time, Fios ran to meet the beast and man, but at the last second jumped to the side, grabbed the mans arm, and swung himself up behind the human before it know what hit him. The elf then grabbed the mans head, and snapped his neck. The horse then decided it best to rear now, making Fios and its rider fall in a tangle. Fios pushed the dead man off him and stood, panting slightly, then ran in the direction Seer had went.

A couple days went by. They kept moving, rarely stopping, when they did, Fios changed Sava's bandages, and cleaning the wounds. Luckily, she was healing fast, but she was getting a rash from the iron band around her neck. He had tried to get it off, but his magic was very limited, and he was afraid he'd hurt her, but she kept urging him to take it off, do whatever he could to get it off, but he was a bit scared too. He didn't want Sava to get hurt anymore.
The trip was fine, no disturbances, no one bugged them, and they didn't bug them. The only thing that kept Fios down was Sava's constant nagging and insults. They had been through a lot in the past, and Sava blamed him for most of it, she didn't even seem to realize that he saved her from the dragon slayers, she was too busy complaining and yelling at him to notice. It was tiring, but he was patient. And he didn't blame her for her sour mood. She couldn't change into a dragon, and she was wounded almost severely. And she was right, for what he did in the past was his fault, most of it.
As Sava sat on Seer's back, Fios led the horse along the well worn road leading into Balefire. The city was just ahead, he could see it in the foggy morning, and could've yelled out in joy, if it had not been with these circumstances.
It took two hours to finally reach the gates of Balefire, and with much protesting from Sava, they went through. People stared as they went by, curious as to what had happened. Whenever someone looked at Sava, she would shoot them a glare that would almost make you think her eyes could kill you. The made it to the stables, where they put Seer in a stall, so a stable boy could take proper care of her, then Fios helped Sava to the tavern, where she would rest till she would felt better.
---------------------------
Two more days went by. Sava was feeling better, but still bound by the iron. She was resting in her room in the tavern on the edge of her bed. She was in fresh clothes, right now a plain white night dress. Her hair was clean and silky, falling about her shoulders as she read a book. There was no name on the cover, and to her, it was extremely boring. Sighing, she closed it with a snap just as the door to her room slowly opened, and Fios stepped through.
Today he wore a dark blue tunic and black trousers. His shaggy hair pulled back. He held a small tray with some food on it for Sava. He cocked his head to the side as he looked at the closed book in Sava's hands.
"When did you take up reading?" He asked, smiling slightly.
"Since I was left in this god forsaken room." She snapped, then sat up, looking at the food in Fios hands hungrily. "What is it this time? Wheres the fresh field of cows? I feel so hungry and that measly little stuff there won't satisfy it."
"You're gonna have to deal with it while your human. Also, I found someone who could take that off for you." The moon elf said, walking forward, and setting the food on bed beside Sava, and she turned to it, as Fios crouched down beside the bed. Sava picked up the spoon, and digging into the strange soup in the bread bowl. She continued to eat, then looked up at Fios, as he was watching her. She set the spoon down and glowered at him.
"Done yet?" She asked coldly. Fios merely smiled, one she hasn't seen in years, it was odd to see him use it now. "What?" She snapped.
He shook his head, some shorter strands of hair coming loose.
"I'm just remembering how it was in the academy. Remembering our friends and the little pranks we did to those poor teachers." He said, shrugging lightly. "I wish I could still be there."
Sava laughed cruelly. "What? Go back in that time and be complete immature idiots? You should be happy your not like that anymore." She said, turning back to her food, but Fios lifted a hand, turning her face back towards him, and for a brief moment, longing touched Sava's eyes, but she quickly hid it with a glare. "No, Fios. That's the past. Its over. Its been over since it started." She said quietly.
"Just once more, Sava." He basically pleaded, then pulled her towards him. If she had pulled back, he wouldn't stop her, but she didn't. She slipped from the bed and knelt on her knees in front of Fios, a look of reluctance in her eyes, but she didn't stop it.
Fios leaned forward, kissing her on her burning lips. And after a moment, she returned it, wrapping her arms around his neck.
((OOC: And it will end here... they end up sleeping together for a last time, Sava wakes up, goes back to hating him forever, and leaves that night heading for home, leaving Fios. She end ups getting pregnant, and well... let the fun begin! lol))
