Title: Run Regis Run
Description: Openish

Regis_Greenleaf - August 25, 2008 03:51 PM (GMT)
Regis had ran for nearly three days through the Gwilikith Mountain Range, landing him far from the Dwarven city. Now he was stuck, literally as his small body couldn't push through the ever mounting snow banks, in the freezing cold. And all because he had needed some extra gold. While traversing the Dwarven city, he had noticed a rich man walking seemingly alone. Sadly he had been a mage and Regis had been sorely defeated.
Luck had been with him as Regis had been able to evade capture or death at the hands of the mage or the city guards. However, he had been forced to run out into the barren waste lands that surrounded the city. With little to no supplies, Regis had made for an outlying village he had heard about in his time in the dwarven city.

Now, only god's angels could save him.

Sealamin Joysword - August 25, 2008 04:30 PM (GMT)
Sealamin was currently stalking for a wounded black dragon. His hunting team had happened on the dragon when they were scouring the ranges around their village to ensure nothing dangerous was nearby, one of their daily scourings, when they came upon the dragon. Well they couldn't attack without making sure it was an evil alligned dragon could they? Well, they didnt need to wait long, only a minute of the Dragon staring at them lead to it roaring and swinging towards them, already bursting flames from its mouth, searing, red hot flames, towards the group of elves.

Sealamin and his 6 fellows were ready, and nimbly flew away to take positions surrounding the dragon. Usually they would fight to the death, but this particular one fled it, after taking a single whip from Sealamins cloak, and recieving 2 arrows into the sides of its neck, it flew off, quicker than expected. Splitting up into 2s, and Sealamin going solo, they spread out to search for the dragon, which was when Sealamins keen eyes spotted the small person scurrying along a beaten path, which was slightly heading towards his village.

Swooping down, his wings spreading to hover slowly 20 feet into the sky, Sealamin caled down, "Hold up their mate!" Swooping lower, dragging his sword clear from his sheath, Sealamin realised who it was: Regis! His old halfling friend who seemed to be pretty out of it, and also seemed to have been travelling heavily for days. Sealamin couldnt help but grin at him. "So Reg, what troubles you got yourself into today?" He said with a smirk.

Regis_Greenleaf - August 25, 2008 04:39 PM (GMT)
Regis was nearing a point of near exhaustion as he noticed a massive eagle over head. As it soared closer he realized it was an elf with a pair of wings.
"Ah Sealamin, haven't seen you in a while," Regis said with a chortle remembering the last time they had met. Regis had attempted to steal Sealamin's towns prized jewels. After nearly nicking the jewels, Regis had been confronted by the winged elf that was Sealamin. In the end, Sealamin and Regis had had a good drink together and then went on their own ways, Regis leaving behind the jewels.
"I was just, um, taking a nice walk in this beautiful weather you have here," he said dripping with sarcasm.

Sealamin Joysword - August 25, 2008 06:41 PM (GMT)
Sealamin laughed. The little guy was actaully making a joke. Oh, he was a funny little one. Sealamin was still a bit unsure of why he didnt finish him off that time he caught him, not that Sealamin was annoyed he didnt. Sealamin and Regis have had a few good times together in the past.

Slowly flapping down, Sealamin lowered himself down several paces in front. "So Regis, what have you actually been up to then? I know you Regis, your up to no good." Sealamin landed lightly, but kept himself firm. He would not be hiding Regis if he was holding stolen goods of a high amount. But, he would just have to wait and see.

Regis_Greenleaf - August 25, 2008 06:48 PM (GMT)
A quick and easy ride to an actual village had just been presented to Regis. There was no way in all the planes of existence that he would let this chance go bye. As the elf touched down onto the ground, Regis moved closer in a friendly fashion.

"I was at the great dwarven city in the mountains when the most unfortunate thing happened," Regis said trying to keep a stern face, "the guards thought I had tried to steal from someone. How very silly of them, don't you think."

With that his stern face slipped away and Regis laughed heartily. He hoped the honest truth was enough for the elf as he didn't feel like either fighting with the formidable warrior or staying out in the harsh cold.

"And I didn't even manage to get anything out of it," Regis said in an exasperated sigh when he finished laughing.

Sealamin Joysword - August 25, 2008 06:59 PM (GMT)
Sealamin laughed. How could he not. Regis was a bit of a character to be around, even if you did have to watch him carefully incase he tried anything. Anyway, Sealamin should better find out if he posed any threat to the village with any of the Dwarves following. Sealamins village had clashed with the Dwarves occasionally, and Sealamin was loathe to bring his village into a persona affair.

Flexing his wings, Sealamin looked towards the path leading towards the Dwarven fortresses, his keen eye sight seeing nothing in the distance. "So Regis, any of those Dwarves following you this way? Sure you got nothing of theirs that might come back to bite you later?" Sealamin was slightly amused, but kept his face and voice firm. He would NOT endanger his villager for a mere aquaintance. A good one at that, but still not a real friend or villager.

Regis_Greenleaf - August 25, 2008 07:08 PM (GMT)
Regis had expected such questions from the elf as he had always put his village's safety as a priority. Luck had been with Regis, as when he was leaving a snow storm had hit the dwarven citadel. Regis had just made it out while all of the dwarven guards were stuck safely behind.

Regis relayed this information to Sealamin with a joyful smile. As he finished his last sentence, he realized just how cold and tired he was. Before this meeting, Regis had pushed all of these feelings to the back of his mind, but with safety looming ahead they poured upon Regis. Regis collapsed into a mound upon the soft snowy floor as he dreamed of a fire and a good cup of liquor.

OOC: He weighs about 50 pounds so you should be able to fly him back to the village.

Sealamin Joysword - August 25, 2008 07:25 PM (GMT)
Horrible. He collapses when he knew he could get a free ride. Always wanting something for nothing doesnt he? Sealamin grumbled while he looked up, it was getting late out and it would be cold at night, so cold that Regis would no doubt die if he didnt wake up to escape, and even then it would be close.

No, Sealamin couldnt leave him to die. He couldnt leave someone knowingly like that. Muttering under his breath, Sealamin shuffled over to the collapsed halfling on the floor, his breathing slow and steady. "Annoying little muppet" Sealamin bent his knees down and lifted Regis over his shoulder. Staggering slightly at the surprisingly weight, Sealamin straighted up, his wings flexing to test his weight.

With a jump his wings flapping hard to lift him up as high as a few flaps would have been, Sealamin slowly lifted them higher and higher. There was a shorter way over the mountains via the troll passage, but Sealamin should be able to get through swiftly enough.

And after 15 minutes of flying, 5 minutes of swiftly abusing his wings to get through quick, Sealamin landed down safely at the village, the leader coming over with his questioning looks planted on his face.

"Hes a friend." Sealamin answered to the questioning look, "He can stay in my house. Can you send a healer over?" And with that, Sealamin staggered slightly to right under his combined weight. Dropping him heavily onto the bed, Sealamin moved over to the fire to start lighting it to get some warmth into the flat, mumbling the whole time about the annoying Regis.

Regis_Greenleaf - August 25, 2008 07:36 PM (GMT)
Regis slepted for close too two days like any lazy halfling should. As he opened his eyes, Regis realized that Sealamin had taken pity on him and brought him to his house or at least that's what Regis assumed. The room was rather dark as the fire had died to almost nothing so when Sealamin returned to the room, Regis could barely make out his form.

As he was still half a sleep, Regis didn't process that it was Sealamin. In truth, he was still half sleeping and thought it was the dwarven gaurds coming after him. With a practiced movement that not even sleep could rob him of, Regis let fly a magical bolt at the "intruder".

Regis then slumped back down into the bed for a nice long nap.

Sealamin Joysword - August 26, 2008 10:50 PM (GMT)
Sealamin had been checking back every few hours to ensure the little fellow was actually asleep, and not stealing any of his valuables. The healer of the village had checked Regis out, and had decided that he would be fine after Regis sleeps it out and rests fully.

It was his last check in of the night before he went off for a quick scouring of the paths leading away and to the village, when his presence roused Regis from his sleep. In his dozed form however, he didnt recognise Sealamin, and a bolt of magic seared accross the room slicing accross Sealamins quickly ducking face, and slicing his cheek.

Sealamin grasped in pain and slapped his hand to his left cheek feeling a well of blood forming from the paperlike cut on his cheek. Oh, he ought to throttle the bastard in his sleep, Sealamin thought to himself. Quickly storming out the doot before he did rudely awake Regis, Sealamin waited by the post of the gate for the rest of his squad, his hands pulsing with blue magic as he gathered it up to heal the small cut. The bastard had really made a nice paper cut on his cheek.

Jaka Salim - August 27, 2008 12:53 AM (GMT)
Late the next morning, Regis rose from bed feeling rather refreshed and quite happy he had escaped yet another predicament. Remembering nothing of his brief meeting with Joysword, Regis walked happily out into the streets of town with a bounce in his step. As Joysword had been the only one informed of Regis's attempt at the jewels, no one in the town knew who Regis was other than his recent relation with the flying elf.

As he walked through town, Regis noticed a particularly tasty apple for sale on a seemingly unguarded counter. However, taking experience in to count, nothing was ever unguarded. Regis walked past the crowded table pointedly addressing the owner of the stall and seemingly went on his merry way. While he had been talking to the owner, he had grabbed the apple.

After walking a safe distance from the store, Regis took out the apple like any other worker eating his late breakfast. As he was about to take a bite of the lushes apple, he realized someone was standing right behind him, obviously intrigued with his morning snack.
OOC: Woops wrong account but still continue as normal

Sealamin Joysword - August 30, 2008 02:21 PM (GMT)
Sealamin was still irritated by the sneak thief Regis. He had sliced Sealamins face in the night when he went to check, and was then fast asleep afterwoods. Dam halflings and their lazyness.

Sealamin had gone to wake Regis up, whether he was sleepy or not, the lazy halfling would get up and out today whether Sealamin had to drag him out. It was a pleasant surprise however, when he found Regis not only out of bed, but walking around out of the small house.

Sealamin was not surprised when he saw Regis manage to steal an apple out of a traders stall while talking to him. Apparantly old habbits die hard. Jumping up Sealamin flew up over the crowds, and tracked Regis to where-ever he would go to eat. It wasnt long till Regis actually drew his apple out to eat, as if he was a normal person at the village. He failed miserably and drew some curious stares.

Caradyn however, who was a known hater of humans and most other races was taking a scarily interest in Regis, so scary infact that he had followed him closely. Caradyn was a brawler, and would probably start a fight, something that Regis would lose. Sealamin sighed as he dropped down in front of Regis, startling the people around him.

Shaking his sword arm lose of his cloak and over his shoulder, Sealamin relaxed his right hand onto the pommel of his sword. "I would back of Caradyn. This halfling is under my protection while in this village." Hopefully he would not start a fight. Sealamin would not want to break one up so early in the day.

Regis_Greenleaf - August 31, 2008 02:59 PM (GMT)
Regis had just spun around when Sealamin dropped in between the brute and the happily eating Regis. Regis already had his dagger on the ready, as he looked at the man imposing himself on the halfling. However, Regis would be torn apart in a fight like this as he wasn't very good at normal combat as stealth and quick subtle strikes were more of his style.

Sealamin guided Regis away from the fight, which Regis obliged happily as the man looked quite formidable of an opponent.

"Time for a good nap, don't you think," Regis said cheerily.

Sealamin Joysword - September 2, 2008 03:13 PM (GMT)
Sealamin stared Caradyn down eventually, the elf not willing to start a fight with the leader of the village strike force. A glare from Caradyn at Regis before he stormed off gave Sealamin some cause for concern, but he ignored it, believing his own influence would be enough to keep Regis safe, or so he hoped.

"Why do you always seem to get into trouble Regis?" Sealamin shook his head as he led him back towards his house. He would have to get his friend out of here today, maybe even escort him back to the more un hostile areas he was used to. Hopefully he wouldn't come back here, Caradyn was quite influencial with a few of the more lazy and nasty drunken elves in the village, but only a few. Even so, the threat for Regis, and any other outlanders for that matter, would be in danger in the village. Sealamin would ahve to do something about that.

Looking down at Regis to his right hand side as he walked, slightly slower than normal so the halfling could keep up, Sealamin voiced his questions, "So when will you be leaving here Regis? We could leave tomorow and I could escort you down to the easier routes where you can continue to somewhere like Taras?" Hopefully he would decide to leave, and if not, Sealamin would have to force him out.

Regis_Greenleaf - September 2, 2008 03:56 PM (GMT)
Regis hadn't really wanted to leave the village, but yet again he had placed himself in trouble. Regis realized that he wasn't just being asked to leave but commanded to leave soon. However, during his long sleep, Regis had thought of an interesting business opportunity.

"I have a business plan, you might be interesting in?"

Sealamin Joysword - September 2, 2008 04:11 PM (GMT)
Sealamin groaned. Why did Regis always have some sort of ingenious get rich quick plans? That more often than not failed and landed Regis in more trouble than he originally was. Sealamin shook his head while he grinned. He just had to listen to the fellows idea, no matter what it was. It would probably give Sealamin a great laugh anyway.

"Oh right then Regis, whats your amazing idea?" Sealamin couldn't help but laugh while he was speaking to. He was so sure that this plan was going to be humorous and entirely bad.

Regis_Greenleaf - September 2, 2008 04:46 PM (GMT)
Regis actually had thought out this plan to some degree and it would even take some hard work to finish it up before money would flow in. Both of these were usually not found in Regis's plans.
"I think it would be a great idea to open up a mercenary guild," Regis said, "We would deal out information, they could higher us for assassinations and anything else they could think off!"

Sealamin Joysword - September 2, 2008 07:27 PM (GMT)
Sealamin laughed heartily at Regis' suggestion. It was one of his more idiotic ones yet. A mercenary guild? Regis was clearly some kind of dream world now, but it was such a good laugh for Sealamin. Surely Regis wasnt being serious?

"Thats an incredibly interesting proposal Regis. Stupid, but interesting." Sealamin chortled some more as they walked. He just couldnt help himself. "And what would be my role if we were there for information and assasinations Regis? I'm neither." Sealamin tried to be serious, but he just couldnt take Regis that seriously, it was too out of his way of normal work.

Regis_Greenleaf - September 2, 2008 11:25 PM (GMT)
Regis had not thought that half of his argument through when he had thought of talking to Sealamin which was now putting him at a soar disadvantage. Regis was thinking on his feet which usually made him look like a fool.

"Uhhh, you can be the commander of the Air force?" Regis said, almost proposing it as a question, instead of a statement. Regis truly didn't expect that bluff to even persuade Sealamin in the slightest.

Sealamin Joysword - September 4, 2008 07:38 PM (GMT)
Sealamin scoffed. An air force leader? Well thats sorta pointing out the obvious. But their were thing Regis hadnt considered, such as Sealamins commitments to his village. he was the leader of their standing force, their strike force. He couldnt just go and leave them, and if he did, he would need to appoint a leader to replace him. Sealamin shook his head to disrupt the train of thoughts. His village needed him, he couldnt up and leave.

"You really havent thought this through Regis. If we did, and that if is a huge if, it would require much more than assasination, information, and an air force. We would need healers, magic weilders, rangers, etc. And be a universal group that can be able to handle anything." Ok. He was really starting to take this too seriously now.

Sealamin grabbed Regis and quickly turned him to the left. He was going to the village weaponsmith, he would take a new sword out with him while he escorted Regis further down the mountain side.

Regis_Greenleaf - September 9, 2008 10:26 PM (GMT)
Once again, Regis had made a complete fool of himself in front of Joysword. However, Regis had actually thought the next part through... Some what. However, Regis had just remembered that Joysword was the captain of pretty much the whole villages defence and strike force.
"Yes yes yes... I've thought of all that," said Regis, in his best salesman voice, "We would have a leader for each of the areas, reckon, assassination, magic and you know all the other main thingies."

Regis was once again walking out onto thin ice as he asked the next part.
"That brute back in town could even take over for you as the village patrol leader."

Sealamin Joysword - September 9, 2008 10:34 PM (GMT)
Well Regis really had thought more of it through that Sealamin had expected, but not nearly enough. There were so many things he missed out, such as recruiting people to the guild, getting their name out their as a group of mercenaries, getting head quarters to base from. It was such a far out idea, but surely with some more planning, bringing a few more friends in, surely they could figure something out?

Regis's next idea was not nearly so bright however. Stopping in the middle of the road, Sealamin look coldly at Regis as he spoke, "I would never leave the village defence in the hands of him. Never." Sealamin shook in anger at the thought. Caradyn was a waster, nothing good would come of him unless he went through his paces with Sealamin to get some training done. He was a brawler, not a leader.

"And besides," Sealamin started walking again, "I have other who are as well trained as me, and could take over, IF we did head out into this guild business." Sealamin put a bit more of a stress on the if than usual, but it was improtant for Regis t know that even if Sealamin was slightly interested in the prospect, there were alot of variable to depend upon.

Regis_Greenleaf - September 10, 2008 11:51 PM (GMT)
Regis had obviously misstepped once again at the suggestion of instating the grunt at the position that Joysword currently resided. However, Regis was not backing down on this idea as he needed the money the guild would hopefully pull in to pay off some rather large debts. Also, the guild would be able to protect him of any rather mean debt collectors. Regis' father had always said "A debt collector with a club is man you run from."

"Joysword, I'm talking business here and I really think we have what it takes to make this guild work," Regis said, putting on a puppy dog face that could melt the heart of an enraged Blue Dragon.

"And if the task force here is so talented, then they really don't need you. I'm sure they would want you to go out into the world and become the legend you can be."

Sealamin Joysword - September 16, 2008 06:45 PM (GMT)
Sealamin's face broke into a grin at Regis when he smiled at Sealamin, attempting a cute looking puppy dog face. However, Sealamin had trained himself to do what was nessecary despite what was happening around him, so he steeled himself away from being persuaded to do something via a cute face, and instead listened to Regis's explanation about how the village wouldn't miss him if they are so talented.

Sealamin grunted in response, his grin sliding back into an unconcerned look on his face as he saw the weaponsmith sign hanging over one of the houses further up down this particular road. To be fair, he had really dropped himself into the position where Regis has placed him, the fact that there were many people he could leave in charge and not worry about the safety of the village. However, he could only reccomend the suitor. The village elders had the last say.

"So, just say for instances, that we decide to take this into consideration, or that I decide to consider it," Sealamin corrected himself quickly. It was evident that
Regis was intent on persuading Sealamin. "How would we go about recruiting members for the mercenary guild? What would our outlook be on people looking to hire us? How would we be advertising ourselves? Where would we even have a head quarters for the time being?" Those questions should really give Regis something to think about, while Sealamin could talk to the weaponsmith.

Regis_Greenleaf - September 18, 2008 09:58 PM (GMT)
Regis had been hit with many questions all at once, so he decided to hold his tongue and actually think over them all rather than blurting out a random answer for the conglomerate blob. However, by the time Regis had formulated some type of response, Sealamin had wandered into the blacksmith that was located down the street. Regis could have easily followed him into the store, but Regis decided not to as his fast fingers could land them in some nasty trouble.

As Regis was wandering up and down the same forlorn street, he noticed a wretched looking kitty of a back alley. It looked practically starved, with its ribs showing and its fur all dirty. However Regis seemed to imediatly fall in love with the small cat.

Sealamin Joysword - September 18, 2008 10:58 PM (GMT)
Sealamin entered the weaponsmith's and had been hit by the heat of one of the blazes that were being heated up intensly in the far right hand corner by one of the amourers. Looking around, the familiar sight of gleaming and polished metal reached his eyes, the edges of all the weapons sharp as could be. The village would be well armed if they were ever called to defend themselves. Sealamin smiled slightly.

Turning around, Sealamin wondered whether Regis was already roaming for easy to gain daggers and weapons that could be hidden easily. His surprise was huge however, when he realised Regis had not actually even entered the shop. Either sometihng had caught his attention, or he had decided not to risk attempting to steal anything, when there were plenty of people outside, and the 3 armourers were big elves who knew how to use hammers and axes and most other weapons.

Moving down to the left hand side where the head smith was, Sealamin offer him his hand while he looked at some of the more elaborate weapons behind the small bar, "Some nice collections there Rynelf. They your own designs or one of your apprentices?" His slight joke wasn't that funny, but it was enough to bring a grin to Rynelf and to Sealamin.

"Oh yea Sealamin, because all the apprentices here are as talented as me already." He voice dripping with sarcasm as shook lightly with laughter. "But seriously Joysword, why are you here? What are you looking for now?" He spread his arms out wide to indicate everything they had on show.

Not smiling any more, Sealamins emotionless face was on as he spoke his next words, "Bring out Claryus Rynelf."

Regis_Greenleaf - September 18, 2008 11:20 PM (GMT)
Regis held the adorable cat in a singular hand which was quite impressive due to the size of his miniature palm. The cat had clambered eagerly into his hands and Regis had taken time to pet and try to remove some of the dirt from the diminutive creatures fur. However, it would take much more than Regis' hand to wipe away the mass amount of dirt and other items that had lodged them selfs into the cats fur. Regis decided to show off the little thing to Sealamin as he remembered that Joysword had a serious distaste of cats.

Regis entered the doors to see a beautiful sword laid out in front of Joysword. Regis almost wanted to go and steal it at that exact moment. However, Regis never got that foolish. At that exact moment, the cat launched itself nimbly from Regis' outstretched hand and then landed right on the sword's blade.

Sealamin Joysword - September 18, 2008 11:41 PM (GMT)
The shock on Rynelf's face was humerous to say the least, but on business like this, Sealamin had to be serious, and thus kept a straight face on untill Rynelf left to go into the back areas to pick out the villages pride and joy, Claryus. Sealamin contented himself with checking out some of the nearby weapons, the nearest a huge broadsword, a clear 4 foot long blade with a width of a foot and a half, overly heavy in Sealamin's hands, even though he used two. There was also 3 spear propped up against the small bar/service area, all 3 of them in different stages of having designs caringly and painstakingly carved into them.

Hearing the footfalls of Rynelf coming back round the corner, Sealamin settled himself into a plesasntly pleased arrangement, his face showing a slight smile in that he was happy with the way things were progressing, his eyes following Claryus, silver and gold entwined along its blade and swirling upwards along the gleamingly sharp metal of the sword. Its handle spun in circles with groves to allowed for a stronger grip in the hand without giving the wielder discomfit.

Rynelf locked eyes with Sealamin, seeking aproval of the quality care he had shown to the Sword of Air. A nod of his head let Rynelf be rewarded, and he broke out into a small smile, wiping a small bead of sweat that was dripping of his left temple as he took a few steps back.

Reaching down, Sealamin opned his hand as he reached to grasp it, to feel the blade enter his hand and hold tight against his palm, so he could feel the power in it, the power in his grasp. He was a mere half a foot from touching the pomel of the sword, when a dirty orange cat jumped from the direction of the door with a soft meowing, landing lightly onto the sword just above where Sealamin was about to pick it up from, its dirty and matted fur getting all over the sword.

Sealamin flinched back taking a step back from the sword. He had an innated dislike of cats for no particular reason, except that he just didn't like them. Looking round, Sealamin was angered to see the amused expression apon Regis's face, looking from where he must have been holding the cat, to the sword where it was now standing and happily lickings its paw.

"Reeeggggiiiissss....!" Sealamin blusted at Regis. Why did he always have to do sometihng relatively annoying and stupid when it was least wanted.

Regis_Greenleaf - September 18, 2008 11:54 PM (GMT)
The orange kitten shook its fur, releasing a downpour of brown and disgusting dirt. The dirt covered the hilt easily changing it from a beautiful craftsmanship to something resembling a weapon that a peasant would bear. To make it worse, the orange kitten began to slip of the weapon giving off another burst of the gruesomely dirty dust. The cat hit the floor feet first and climbed skillfully back into Regis' palm for a nap. With a final meow it fell to sleep in Regis' hand.

While the kitten could easily escape from the torture Joysword would fire in Regis' direction for this spectacle, Regis would have to take it all. Regis stumbled over to the sword trying dearly to wipe of the dirt. Luckily, most of the dirt came off but the dirt had left its mark for the time being.

"I am dearly sorry," Regis mumbled to Joysword, "for the display of my new pet kitten."

Sealamin Joysword - September 19, 2008 08:16 PM (GMT)
The dirt cascaded down onto the sword, staining the beautiful metal and the designs painstakingly molded on and painted with the up-most skill and patience. And that little kitten had jumped up and buried it all in the dirt and hair that was lose from its body.

Rynelf was just shocked that such a precious weapon, something so highly valued from the village since it was so hard to gain, was despoiled by a mere animal, and a mere kitten at that. Sealamin surpressed the urge to draw one of the nearby weapons, even his longsword at that, and smite that dam kitten down, throw it out of the village.

Sealamin watched in silence as Regis wiped the dirt off, his slightly heavy handed approach at first made him cringe, however his touch improved quickly enough and most of the dirt was brushed off without leaving much mess.

"I believe the next hour or two will be easily figured out now," Sealamin commented icily, nodding at the kitten then the sword. Sealamin pursed his lip while his mind worked furiously. He wanted to say something relating to Regis and the cat, but thought better than that and chose not to. Instead, he spoke to Rynelf, who still looked mortally offended at the cat.

"Rynelf, we'll be gone soon, and I'll ensure that Regis cleans that sword, and the cat, into respectable items and pets very soon. However, we are heading down towards and probably through the Ishtan desert, and so we could do with him having some better weapon than that measly dagger he is carrying.

(( OOC:Feel free to work his own reply and the showing of the different knifes. :)

Regis_Greenleaf - September 20, 2008 02:47 PM (GMT)
Regis was happy that his little kitty hadn't been sliced through by Joysword. However, Regis would have to take some time to tame the kitten to be an advantage rather than a minor problem. However, Regis had a more pressing matter on his mind. While Regis had an ample source of gold, his current weapon was nothing more than a flimsy dagger that could barely pierce through a normal set of clothing. In other words, it had a more practical use in the kitchen then out on the battlefield.

"Kind sir, I was wondering if you had any high quality daggers in this fine establishment," Regis said kindly but the obvious compliment was completely ignored as the filthy kitten purred deeply in it's sleep.
Fucking kitten will never let me get a good deal anywhere now will it, Regis thought to himself.
Rynelf shuffled off, bringing back a couple standard daggers and then with slight hesitation, due to the kitten, unrolled a bundle of cloth revealing two elegant fighting knives. They were pure black ivory with a crazy amount of gold inscriptions, not just on the pommel but also reaching up the sides of the blades.
"I present you Guen's Fangs," Rynelf said slowly.
Regis could barely speak as the weapons beauty overwhelmed him.

(OOC: Play it however you like :P)

Sealamin Joysword - September 20, 2008 05:18 PM (GMT)
Sealamin lifted Claryus up and examined the weight of the sword in his hand while Rynelf went to fetch some of their fighting daggers and knifes. The weight was perfect in his hands, the balance tremendous, and the feel of it was just amazing. This was clearly a master worked weapon of strength and power. Taking the sheath that was lying next to it, Sealamin fastened it to his belt with his left hand deftly, then dropped the sword home to the slightest ring sound. The weight against his hips was not even that heavy either, for such an amazingly sculpted design that it had.

Sealamin nodded to Rynelf during his moments hesitation about displaying the bundle he had, and Rynelf swiftly showed the fighting knives Guen's Fangs. They were equisite weapons, and were taking from an assassin they caught leaving a Dwarven fortress one time. Keeping them with some of their other masterwork weapons, these were the only daggers or knives they had of this calibre.

Sealamin glanced towards Regis while he had an array to choice from, as well as some of the other knives handing on walls or in racks in the front room, but Regis was struck by the pair of knives, his expression one of someone who had just seen a beautiful woman for the first time.

"If Regis is able to take his eyes from Guen's Fang, maybe he can check some of the others out before he makes what is evidentally a forgone decision." Sealamin grinned at Regis who was obviously inlove with those Fangs.

Regis was fully enamored with the twin fighting knives. While Regis was only used to using a single dagger for his assassination work, he simply couldn't leave his eyes of the weapons. While there were some other decent daggers and short swords littered around the blacksmith's salesroom, none of them even came close to paralleling Guen's Fangs.
After hearing Joysword's comment, Regis laughed thoroughly at the idea of not purchasing the daggers.
"Very funny, Joysword, but I must have these daggers and I have a decent amount of money on my person," Regis said with a smile that showed how he had got the money.

"Rynelf, I will take these fine daggers off your hands and I will leave with my filthy little kitten too," Regis said with a charming smile.

After purchasing the fabulous daggers of Rynelf, Regis walked out the doors with two fighting knives strapped to his belt. His old dagger was concealed within his boot, ready to catch an unsuspecting enemy at any moment.
"So Sealamin, about the guild?"

Sealamin Joysword - September 20, 2008 07:12 PM (GMT)
Sealamin rolled his eyes while Regis exchanged the gold for the daggers. He had a reasonable guess at to how he got that gold, even without the smile from Regis. Typical though, it was what Regis for a living, even it was..... Frowned apon. Seeing Regis so happy over something however was a bit new. He had never been this happy or proud over an of his stealings, no matter what he stole. Maybe it was something new to him, buying stuff legally?

Sealamin shrugged to himself as he followed Regis towards the door, his mind already considering which mountain passes to walk through with Regis, since he was definately not carrying him this time.

"Oh, Rynelf," Sealamin spun back round as Rynelf was moving some of the daggers and short swords back to their correct places. "Please ensure that no more of our valuable weapons get taken out from now on unless I say so in person, or a member of the council." Waving again, Sealamin walked out the door after Regis, just in time to hear him nagging about the guild opportunity.

Starting to walk slowly back to his house to get some things, Sealamin considered the question. Sure, it had some opportunities, but it also ment that he would forego his village. Would the council of 9 be ok with that? He would really have to check that first, and see where they stood on the prospect of someone else taking control of their military force.

"I'd have to talk to the council and seek their opinion on a new leader of the Strike Force Regis. I can't just leave and not have them approve of my replacement." Sealamin took a deep breath before he formed his next words, "And we would need to actaully get a few other like minded individuals too Regis. Us two alone cannot start a Mercenary guild."

Regis gazed at the kitten in his hands as it slept in a tight little ball of dirty fur. It was a cute thing in Regis' mind but it would obviously need training before it was anything more than a cute little kitty. Regis' free hand brushed over one of his new blades reminding Regis of the purchase he had just made. Even the idea of spending money on something was new for Regis. He smiled at the idea that this was the only thing on his person that was rightfully his as even the cat did not exactly belong to him.

"Or you could just disappear into the setting sun like a true adventure," Regis said with a smile. That would be the day when Sealamin simply abandoned his people for the road of adventure and of course, money. However, Regis was actually enjoying the idea of just having some fun which was a surprise as usually money was his first and normally only priority.

"As for more mates, it will be easier to find like minded peoples once we have the fame of a few jobs under our guilds belt. And for starters, I know a few shady characters that could easily be into something like this," Regis said with a laugh which accidentily awoke the little kitten. It was time for the cat to get a proper bath and some proper food.

"Mind if we stop at your humble abode so I can take care of my kitty."

Sealamin Joysword - September 20, 2008 09:56 PM (GMT)
"And for starters, I know a few shady characters that could easily be into something like this," made Sealamin laugh heartily. Of course they would be interested in thsi. Making money together means better protection, and it would be quite legal for them too. Then again, would Sealamin want too man of those type of characters in the guild? Would they only be there for as long as they got a nice profit with minimum risk?

Coming out of his reverie, Sealamin nodded without looking at Regis, he would need to pick up some things from his small house anyway. "Yea, we'll stop off there. I need to pick my backpack up and arrange for a few people to come to the council house." Sealamin continued walking a bit quicker, lost in thought slightly about the council meeting, about what they would say. "And I'll send a message across too actaully," Sealamin suddenly commented from his brief silence.

Waving someone over, Sealamin clasped hands briefly with the new elf. "Kouran, can you head over to the council room for me? I need you to call a brief meeting in say... 30 minutes roughly?" Sealamin smiled his appreciation as Kouran headed into the air to fly over to the centre of the village. With a nod of his head to Regis, Sealamin set off a quicker pace towards his house.

It was obvious that Joysword was on board for Regis' beautiful idea of starting their own mercenary guild. While some of the details were still alittle rough around the edges, Regis was sure he would be able to fine tune them during the long road back to civilization.
However, now he had the pressing matter of feeding and cleaning his new kitten. He had named it Guen after his daggers which he had already fallen in love with. He entered the simple house that Joysword was currently living in and moved towards the kitchen area. Taking some milk and a small bit of fish, Regis created a tasty meal for the kitty. As Guen downed the food, Regis got a small bucket and found some spare water and a dish rag.

After a meal and a bath, Guen slept as Regis went to talk to Joysword.

Sealamin left Regis be as he set about cleaning his stupid kitten. Already it had caused so much hassel, and that had been a mere hour since they had gotten the dam thing. How much trouble would it mess up when they would leave on a journey down to more civalised parts of the world? Shrugging, Sealamin set about to cleaning Claryus. The blade was beautiful, hand crafted of the highest quality, and it deserved to be kept in the best state possible.

It took him the good part of half an hour to clean the dirt off carefully and slowly, great care taken not to ruin any of the intricate designs that were painstakingly woven and designed onto the blade. Satisfied with his work, Sealamin put the blade away, tightening the strap comfortably onto his waist, with his spare, old and reliable longsword strapped ont his back. Wrapping his cloak round his neck and over his sword, Sealamin was once again in his full place. It was time to go talk to a few of his clsoer friends. He had a proposition for them.

Moving outside, Sealamin travelled two doors down, leaving Regis alone in peace and quiet to keep cleaning the kitten, which was a horrible mess. Knocking and entering, Sealamin smiled to Tyrion, his best friend since their time in training back in the days. Tyrion had gone into private protection of one of the council, Sealamin to lead the Defence Strike Force.

"Tyrion my friend, its been a long time since we have caught up and had a chat together." Sealamin's smile was wide and happy to have the chance to catch up with his friend. They had not spoken in a while.

"Duty call Seala, duty calls," Tyrion laughed. "Anyway, sit down my friend. Its been too long. How are things for you?"

"I'm good, I'm good. Made a few runs down to Kellen and Norward. Keeping the peace with some of the dragons who are not totally evil, and keeping the dwarves happy. Its a demanding roll, but an important one." Sealamin shrugged, he was used to the demand his position took on him. Looking more seriously though, Sealamin eyed Tyrion up carefully as he spoke again. "I've got a friend from else were around today. You may have seen him, the halfling?"

"Aye. He got into a bit of a predicament with Caradryn didn't he?" A slight smirk palyed on Tyrion's features.

"Thats the fellow. Always seems to get some trouble about. But anyway, he has, somehow, managed to persuade me to make a mercenary guild with him. I've given it alot of thought, and I've decided tis time to broaden my horizons than the regular day to day runnings of this force. I'm here to ask if you will come join us Tyrion. I know you have experience and skill. We would be honoured for you to accompany us down."

Tyrion was silent for a while before he spoke. Finally, he said "its an interesting proposal Seala, and for anyone else, I'd have said an outright no. I know you haven't spoken to the council about this yet, you still have the small badge of authority." Tyrion went silent for a minute while he thought about it a bit longer, then, "tell you what Seala. You speak to the council, and I'll inform you of my decision afterwoods."

Sealamin stood up, a broad smile on his face, "I couldnt have hoped for anything better. We'll speak later then." A broad smile was on his face as he walked out Tyrion's house, and walking up to his own door.

Regis had taken extra time to clean off the cat as his fur was litterally covered in dirt, grim, and even random objects. It was so dirty that in some places you couldn't even see the orange fur. Regis had to be careful of pulling out any fur as he didn't wish to anger the kitty or rip out any fur as it was already significantly lacking it. Just as he had finished washing of the last bit of dirt and had untangled the last twig from the kitten's fur, Joysword walked in.

The kitten dashed out from Regis' grip and bolted towards the fling elf. Its swerved beneath the elf's feet. Regis could only assume no good would come from this. However, it didn't really matter as Regis had overheard the conversation Joysword had had with his old friend. Seala, as his friend had called him, was obviously on board with the mercenary guild. Now all that was left was finding a few more members and a base from which they could operate. Both were easily solved if they only had a bit more money.

"Off to see the council, I hear," said Regis with a grin. He was rather content that the whole idea had gotten off the ground and he was sure a couple people across Imythess were happy as they would finally get paid.

Sealamin Joysword - September 25, 2008 07:38 PM (GMT)
Sealamin's broad smile was cut short by the swerving cat charging under his legs. Swearing, Sealamin made a quick kick towards the dam cat. Hopefully Regis was planning on giving it away to someone, Sealamin would probably end up killing it on the journey down to the plain lands. Annoying little fur ball. At least it looked clean however, which was better than nothing.

"Off to see the council, I hear," made Sealamin look quite surprised at Regis' grin. He had evidently overheard Sealamin's conversation with Tyrion, even if it was 2 doors down. Then again, both doors were open, so he wouldn't be surprised if more people had overheard too.

"I guess there goes the secretive idea I had of not informing everyone about my plan. If you heard then so did anyone outside." Sealamin grimaced slightly, but only for a moment as Regis was obviously delighted to have Sealamin decide to accept the possible plan they had concocted. "I guess you overheard we might have a 3rd member too?" Sealamin enquired. Regis had obviously heard most of it.
