Title: A desire for light.

The flicker on the walls, showed the cobwebs of arachnids, not even yet known to man or in Stallion's case... Vampyr. The scorching torch seemed to never stop burning. The flame high and straight, no breeze blew to threaten the flame. Behind Stallion walked a beast, a wyvern, his wyvern. By his feet walked two cats, intertwining with each other and his legs with every step he takes. His light plate and leather clothes seem to burden him much more than usual as his hunger eats away at his spirit. He seems to be lost, as he has been walking aimlessly for several days. The Tunnels never seem to end, unless they end in the occasional dead end, in which the slightly large Haveck hates so much.

Things wouldn't be so bad for Stallion if Manul wasn't there talking to him endlessly annoying him. Manul only cares about the power Stallion was gathering with every body that falls limp from his fangs. But for Stallion the mission was to get his memory back. It's all he seemed to care about anymore. Stallion walked onward and then out of no noticeable reason he stopped and sat down on a large flat rock. He took a big deep breath and laughed to himself.

"Your full of nonsense Manul, we are not gonna find anyone down here, EVER.... We are In the middle of nowhere and because of you, and your stupid half-assed Ideas, we are lost! Stallion yelled suddenly, causing the kittens to scamper away, startled.

A lizard like voice responds, slurring its S's as it speaks, but as it speaks the voice echoes in Stallions head, and his head only. "Maybe if you weren't so incompetent, we wouldn't be lost. But Stallion, my friend, we will find someone eventually, and down here... Were the light is few, and the fear is high in ones mind, we can strike and not fail."

Stallion, unhappy with this reply and the insult attached to it, he stands up and continues walking down a slightly smaller adjacent tunnel. "Manul... We don't have to be down here to ambush someone! We could be up on the surface in the beginning of the night at sundown. I could easily take most "mortals" that walk by.

Stallion Continued down the tunnel with the kittens, Curious and Mischief, the wyvern, Haveck. The torch and the bag containing Shadow were left behind by the rock where stallion had sat. The bag in the light, was sure to gather someones attention, the perfect set-up.

Aether Draka had decided she should go ahead and visit the tunnels once more. She didn't know what she would find, but she was starting from the place she remembered. There was a small cave that Delhar had show her on her last major time getting lost down here and she had found out from him that the city of Menzoberranzan was apparently not far from that point. She had decided that she really should visit this place. He said down the path. She wondered if that ment down hill or simply 'further down' as in along the path. Apparently though, he hadn't wanted her to take the path because it got much too close to a temple of Lolth's. AD wasn't worried herself, mostly because she wasn't a drow and only knew very little about the race. She delt with angels and demons, not normal beings like drow.

She came out of the cave, having shadow jumped back to the place from memory, and hopped down a few rocks with only a slight sound. Just as she was about to head down the path in the way she hadn't been yet been a slight flicker of light caught her eye. She paused and looked that direction. It was a little further down the path and off to the right, where it looked lie another tunnel met with this one. She wasn't seeing the torch itself, or the bag. The rock was in the way. What she was seeing was the flickering of the light off the wall opposit it. Drawn by curiosity, she crept forward as quietly as she could. She was easily hidden from the light, and anyone she thought might be carrying the light, but she had put herself in plain view of anyone or anything else close to there.

He sat there waiting and waiting... His eyes glued upon the shadows, waiting for them to be disturbed, by a presence of someone, anyone. It could be dinner, or it could be an escape from this hell-ish tunnel, that he had imprisoned himself in by complete accident. He could blame his demon, or he could blame himself, neither would get him anywhere at all, but it would give him something to contemplate as he sat in silence. He looked at the ground momentarily, and saw what not what he had been waiting for, but something completely different. He smiled, the figure, moving slowly, hesitantly.

The figure came from the opposite direction, he had set this trap up for... Stupidly he didn't think someone would be coming from deeper in the tunnel. But he was apparently wrong, and what he saw before him proved it. He stood... up and his feet almost dragging on the ground as he approached the figure, quietly stealthily. Reaching for his long, inhumanly large, blade he smiled and he approached. The smile quickly drained as his face regained total seriousness, he took several more steps and he stared at the figure, not able to decipher, who or what it was. He could hear its heart beating regularly, it made him hungry, the smell of the blood aroused his emotions, the breathing of his animals quickly became clear only noticeable to his ears. He could not only hear, but feel the footsteps of the figure. He took several more and the silhouette began to take figure, and the smell became familiar, he lowered his sword and smiled. He took several more quick steps into the light.

"Hello there, love."

As she got closer she realized that there was no sign of someone being there. What was this then? She didn't dare go into the light itself, or she would loose her advantage in these dark tunnels. Instead she had started to circle around. She could see a bag now, but still no one. Something in the back of her mind warned her to leave it be. It said for her to just go. But her curiosity caused her to stay. Then a soft sound, barely a shift of something against the stone. She smiled slightly as she recognized the figure that stepped into the light. The tension in her shoulders melting away. To the vampire's ears, her heart would slow just slightly as the tension went away. She honestly didn't care why the vampire was down there. The thought never crossed her mind. Instead, her train of thought went an entirely different direction.

This was something nice, someone she could invite along who wouldn't be all 'you can't go on your own, it's dangerous' or something silly like that. She walked around the Abyss. Drow were elves, not demons. How bad could it be?

"Hello." She said with a smile. "You wouldn't happen to be too busy to take a little trip with me, would you? I've decided to take a little look in on the drow city of Menzoberranzan. I haven't seen it as of yet, but I think it would be well worth the visit, don't you?" Her head tipped slightly to the right as she asked the question.

Stallion smiles, and nods. "I would be delighted to join you on your journey... As long as you promise me... We will leave this god-forsaken Tunnel system." He grabbed his bag from the dirt floor and gravel floor, and slung it onto his right shoulder, he lifted the torch with his left hand and smiled. He looked over into the darkness and made a clicking noise with his tongue. His pets returned to his side without any further convincing. The Wyvern towering above him it nuzzles against his cheek, showing that he was more of a parent figure than an owner to this gargantuan beast. The Kittens nuzzle against his shins and he flashes a quick smile.

Stallion looked around and looked at all the options of the tunnel system and sighed. He retrieved a vial from his pocket, took a sip and returned it into his cloak. He didn't know which way to go, and he was completely lost... Yet he didnt want Aether to know this so he acted confident.

He looked at Aether and flashed another smile... "So uh... Which way?" He pet the Wyvern and look down a dark tunnel, lifting his torch higher, to see if he could see any tall tell signs on where to go next.

When he said he could go she clapped her hands in front of her. This was wonderful. Someone who wasn't going to keep trying to tell her what to do, like that ever worked.. she was going to have to riming someone...

She pushed the thought from mind at the moment and turned her head back the way she had come. She didn't know exactly where she was going, but she decided it wouldn't be too hard to find out. She hopped down a slight ledge and looked out over the tunnels before her. The drow had to be this way. This was where they had run off to last time. She was walking along for a little bit on the slight downward slope when she realized something, she should just summon her demon again! It had chased them down here and it might know more then she did.

She reached into her pouch and pulled out the cards. She fanned them out to see what she needed and pulled a card. She then put the rest away. The shadows responded almost right away as she held the card up in front of her, the front facing her. They burned a dark summonig circle on the found that soon turned blood red, then black as she let her power flow into it. The darkness swelled and solidified into a pit fiend as black as the shadows it had come from. He looked around a moment and then saw AD. He was much larger then she was and knelt down slightly to be more on her level. "I've been here before." He rumbled in a deep voice that was attempting to be quiet. AD nodded sharply. "Did you see the city?" She asked. The demon nodded. "Then lead on. I don't feel like getting lost this time."

The demon nodded and was glad for the size of the tunnel as he rose to his full height of about nine feet, give or take. He started down one tunnel and AD didn't hesitate to follow it.
