Vacancy lay before his very eyes, stretching all across that of the island in which he stood. Devoid of life, Manic figured it would be the perfect spot to recollect on his thoughts or perhaps drive him further and further to insanity. Whatever the case at least he wouldn’t be bothered by trivial people and their talk of worthlessness and dreams that would never happen. Most importantly, there would be no one he knew to try and patronize him and challenge everything horrible that faced him face to face in this lifetime of his.

Sucking in a deep breath, Manic proceeded along the sanded shoreline, moving ever closer to the center of one of the small islands, only to pause momentarily as a string of pain shot through his right arm. Instinctively he would move his other hand to grasp it at the forearm just bellow the elbow and proceed to apply pressure hoping to quell it a bit. It would prove to be no avail as the pain continued to pulsate through his entire arm and the soft glow of red would pick up beneath the sleeve of his jacket. Deciding not to pay it much mind he would continue his way across the sands, finding it rather hard due to its soft and shifting nature.

And then it hit him again, this time much worse than the last time causing him to cry out in agony before dropping to his knees in the soft malleable sand. Grasping his arm tightly with his free hand, his teeth would gnash together violently, “Stop it!”

“I won’t…”

“Then I will make you…”

“How…?”

“I’ll find a way.” He muttered underneath his breath, before the pain would finally subside. Relaxing a bit in his kneeling state, his eyes would shift around his surroundings briefly. Someone was here with him now…The air had carried the scent to his nose, the scent of a another demon, a woman…Taking a couple more sniffs at the air, his brain worked feverishly trying to place the scent to a person, before finally coming to the conclusion, “Alice…” He spoke softly as he simply waited, knowing that she would more the less find him without him having to put in an effort to find her…

And of course she was there, the young demoness sat further into the island on a small rock next to a small lake looking gathering of water. Her golden eyes calmly watched the reflection of herself in the water, she slowly moved one hand though her hair and carefully examined her face for a moment....nothing was wrong and she still looked perfect. Alice smiled slightly at this and then she took a deep breath and jumped down from the rock onto the grass below. She brushed some dust of her dress and stretched her back. "Well this sure is a calm place, I have not seen a living creature for a very long time now....it is perfect" she giggled slightly and then she began to walk towards the shore of the island.

She stopped when she suddenly had a strange feeling, there was something demonic here, and something else...someone familiar to her. But the demonic energy was not something she knew...could it be a infused like herself? Well only one way to find out about that. Since she was not sure if this stranger was male or female she carefully made sure she looked okey before she kept walking.
The sorceress soon arrived to the shoreline and then she noticed Manic, she stopped and calmly looked at him as he sat on his knees there on the sand. Alice knew right away who this man was, she had meet him before on the plains and he had been a very bright person, a person she would like. But he did not have the demonic signature then...he sure had gone though a few things.

The demoness raised her eyebrows slightly and tilted her head to the left. "Manic, well I have not seen you in a while darling, not since the plains if my memory is correct." she examined him for a moment. "But I can see your no longer alone in that body of yours?" Alice moved some hair from her face as she was talking.

When she appeared into his line of sight, he would proceed to push himself back to his feet, hand still clenched to his blackened right arm. Surely he looked like death warmed over to the woman, what with his physical state and the strands of hair that concealed vast portions of his countenance. Given a quick jerk of the head, his hair would lift and shift backwards where they would remain out of his face for the time being. “I believe it was the river near Cascadia. Where Aether was spying on the both of us, but it’s not all too important.” His voice was low and somewhat tired in its tone, “I’ve never been alone in this body of mine…It’s just that recently it’s become more dominant in its attempts to control me.”

Just to make sure that she understood the extent in his words, manic would release his hand on his right arm, before moving to roll up his sleeve to expose the jet black flesh of his arm and the chain that bound tightly around his forearm. Just then the pulsating red markings shone at the surface of his flesh, causing him to wince and grab his arm tightly again, “If this thing escapes my realm of control, I’ll feel a little remorse for the person who gets forced to face it. Only a little though…” A malicious grin took upon his features, but it would only remain briefly before fading again, “But I can’t just let it have free roam of my body and control it whenever it wants. I’m the one in control here, not it…”

There was no point in talking about this, especially to her and here of all places, so he would simply change the subject to both help distract himself and perhaps get this conversation going on a different note, “You’ve become stronger…Your scent emanates like a thick cloud and your energy seems…Darker. Although…That’s not all too important right now. Have you been behaving dear…?’ With that he would offer her a wink, trying to keep the same playful demeanor he had when he had first met her.

Alice nodded slightly as Manic said this. "Yes that sounds familiar to me, time flies and one can´t remember everything" she said with a calm voice. "Oh I´m sorry, I used the wrong set of words. I know very well how it is to not be alone in once body and what I meant was that the other power inside of your body is much stronger then before" she smiled slightly:

Her eyes watched him as he showed the chain from his arm. "Oh I see, well it sure looks like your going though some changes. I know pretty well what your going though...but then again your case is a little different then what mine was" she tilted her head to the left and slowly moved one hand though her hair as she was talking. "I will give you a little word of advise, your sharing the same body and you will most likely live with each other for a very long time, try and be friends and you will see that things will be much easier that way" she giggled slightly.

She thought about his final words with great care before she replied to them. "Well I have been busy since our last meeting Manic, one has to keep them selfs up to date these days. I might have become darker, or is it just your perception of me that is darker I wonder? One can never be sure about things like that." she gave the man a slight grin. She giggled slightly and a very innocent smile appeared in the demoness face. "Well I have only been a good girl since our last meeting Manic" one could hear the innocent tune in her voice. "Just your average saint, that´s all" She really had that bad girl look about her.
