Lilith’s golden hair clung to her face, tendrils splayed over her cheeks and nose. She continually brushed them away but they had been damped by the mist and now were completely soaked through. A small amount of the kohl she used on hr eyes smudged. It only served to make her eyes more noticeable. She was still attractive, the black making her skin almost glow, and seemingly even more pale now. Lilith’s white dress clung to her body, dampened against her skin so it was like a part of her. It trailed down over her hips and clung to her legs even as she walked. Lilith had taken out her wings, flexing them as she walked. The feathers were wet, looking as though tiny dew drips clung to each.
The mist here was thick, coming in great clouds that moved lazily atop the land. It was hard to make out anything a few feet in front of her. The trees that came into view were dark shadows with no detail. It was only until they were a few inches in front of her face that she could make out the soft brown bark and the insects that crawled along its surface. There was no middle ground. The detail came suddenly but only very close up, apart from that it was hard to see much of anything. She knew there was supposed to be a lake around here but she wasn’t sure how far.
The land that rose up was lush and green yet it looked as though it hardly saw the sun at all. Rocks rose up all over the place and she had no idea where she was at this point. It seemed as though she had been going downhill and it now leveled off. Lilith guessed she must have been in a valley of some sort. It seemed like it would have been easy enough to just fly out of the mist and get her bearings, yet she liked the solitude. So she just continued walking. . .
Eliel sat atop Gwen, a refreshed smile on his face. The hills were always a pleasant retreat from the dry lands he usually visited. The large cat seemed strained, the air seeming to be too moist and heavy for her to take it all. Eliel dismounted her and got a thankful feeling in return. He walked along the path with a grin, Gwen padding along.
He wore a simple, loose white tunic today, slightly damp with the mist. Gwen's fur was glistening, the rubies on her collar shining. The only blade on him today was Lan de Yue Jia, the thin elven blade sheathed in it's silver and leather sheath, bouncing at his hip.
He squinted a bit, highly unused to the brightness. Even with the mist, the sun's beams were overcoming his sight. After the incident with the demon, he'd gone to the underdark and had a favor called in, fixing his sight permanently.
Instead of the usual black, his eyes shone with a deep crimson color, very new for him. After years of used to seeing in the dim light his black eyes had made, normal vision made him feel like a drow fresh out of the dark lands.
Eliel spotted a winged figure not too far away, only having now seen her. He squinted a little before giving up and letting his vision shift to infrared. Things cleared and grew more vivid, the light not hurting him as badly anymore. It was... Lilith?
Eliel smiled at Gwen and walked up to her silently, not making a sound in the damp grass. He wrapped his forearms over her belly and placed his chin on her shoulder.
“Hello there, dearie.” He said with a smile. His voice had a new sense of power and confidence, coming from his accepting himself as a drow noble.
