Raku - August 16, 2008 05:30 PM (GMT)
Perched upon the stone of a ruined statue the demon Raku sat. Due to his appearance he looked almost as if he could be a gargoyle guarding a well kept secret. Currently the small demon was enjoying his dinner which was a fairly large rat, that he had caught only a moment ago. The small rodent had squirmed up till Raku ripped a chunk clean out of it, then it went limb and lifeless. Blood oozed between his razor like teeth and out of his mouth, he wiped it away only to smear it on his arm. "To think I have been reduced to eating these vermin. Oh father would slap me into a stalactite if he saw me. To bad he is dead, haha"
The demon's arms stretched out in front of him and then behind him as he let out a large yawn. He pushed his hands against the stone and lifted himself up into the air and landed on the ground in front of the stone. Raku had not been above the planes of hell his entire life, and he had only just arrived to this strange new world a week ago. Though he had not left hell by choice, he had been exiled for not being as evil as all the others. It was his fault that he didn't really have the desire to be evil all the time. He was still a homunculi after all so he got most of his thrills by playing tricks on people. The only thing he possibly loved more than pranks was shiny objects. There was nothing shiny in these ruins though, so he decided that he would have to find someone and pull a few harmless jokes on them. He peered around with his beady little eyes and his neck stretched to see if he could find anyone. He slouched in sorrow. Then he got an idea, since he had a small height factor he ran to a stone pillar and scurried up it using his claws. Then he sat down with his arms and legs crossed. Now we wait.
Eliel - August 16, 2008 07:19 PM (GMT)
Eliel strode up the uneven, broken paths of the ruined city, eyes darting over the structures, most of them decimated, destroyed beyond repair. He felt a grin take over his face, a strange sight in the place. No sane man would feel at ease here, no man would feel safe. And they should fear the place well, for this day Eliel wandered the paths.
Eliel rode atop Gwen, a black-clothed figure with his black piwafwi, atop a great feline-like beast. The umbra's eyes darted about the place, searching for anything that would prove a threat. Ever vigilant, ever watchful Gwen. The collar about her neck was a wicked thing, made of black leather and studded with blood-red rubies. Only in battle would it's prowess be revealed.
Eliel was a regular here, knowing most of the city by heart. He'd been here many times, as many as he had been in most towns. He looked around with a wicked gleam in his eyes, hood pulled down. His hair, instead of the usual ponytail, was bound in the way of House Usreanac. After all, a drow noble should not prance about like a fairy tale knight.
Eliel stopped in the middle of one of the plazas, looking around. His eyes picked out a gargoyle-looking figure that he'd not seen before, and he made a mental note of it. The drow continued looking around, but his attention was still on the figure.
DornKoon - August 16, 2008 08:58 PM (GMT)
Boring, more boring, extremely much boring. This was what Alice was thinking to herself as she walked though the ruins of the ancient city, she had been here countless of times now... this ruins always had a way to share the demoness up when she felt down before, but not this time for some reason. Today she looked very much like her normal self, minus the black wings. But she still had the glowing demonic eyes and the aura of darkness was around her...she had no reason to hide it in a place as dark as this one.
She stopped when she suddenly heard something further into the city, she listened to the sound for a moment and then she frowned slightly....what could that be? Something funny she hoped. A little of the boredom she felt began to go away as she quickly walked towards the sound.
Soon she arrived to the place where Raku was, the sound she had heard was when he jumped down from the stone onto the ground below. This place was very quiet so it had not been hard to hear it at all. Even easier when your bored and on your guard for something....anything.
The demoness tilted her head to the side as she noticed the creature, she had not seen Eliel and Gwen since they came from the other side from where she was. But right now she was more interested in this stranger.
Alice tilted her head slightly to the left and her eyes was glowing with a sinister light in the darkness of the ruins. One could tell she had demonic blood.
But she did not say anything....hey she did not have anything to say really, but that was no problem and she was going to deal with it. Time was on her side after all, better let the stranger start talking then start talk yourself.
Daemus Immortalis - August 17, 2008 01:09 AM (GMT)
Daemus Immortalis had been traveling for quite some time now. He had tried to get away from Taras, due to his murder of Alabaster and burning down of the guild house. He knew it was a good idea to get away from Taras and let things die down a bit before he returned. Why had he come to the Ruins of the Ancient City? No reason. Daemus Immortalis was just trying to get as far away from Taras as he could. He kept his cloak over him and his scarf over his face, showing only his hypnotic lavender eyes.
I've got some time to wait before things die down in Taras Daemus thought. The hard part is where to go from here. I'm not one for Istan, since I'm a vampire and Istan is a desert. Cascadia is a possibility, but it is much too cheery for my taste. Maybe I should be thinking about the Dark Lands? No sun of any kind, not to mention people I can better understand. This brought a chuckle to Daemus. Most people would never think of living among the drow. He would always be at the bottom of the food chain, yet that also meant that he wouldn't be as big a target.
The cloaked figure that was Daemus moved between the ruins and structures, quiet and graceful as a cat. He did something like a fast walk, half walking and half bounding. He would need to be careful to beat sunrise. Then he looked up and saw a hunched figure. Daemus looked harder, and saw that is was something like a gargoyle. But then he noticed it had a dead rat in his hands, and realized it was a demon. This is not good Daemus thought. He knew well to be at least wary of demons. He kept his eye on it as he moved, making sure to keep it in his vision.
Raku - August 17, 2008 06:12 PM (GMT)
Raku remained very still as a figure riding what appeared to be a large cat crossed his view. If he engaged the fellow or his cat down there he would probably be eaten, the same could be said if he played any sort of trick on them. Most people tend not to like Raku's type of humor, actually he couldn't recall a single being that did. O well lets go down there and have some fun. The demon stopped and pondered about his thoughts just a second ago. I got to stop talking about myself as more than one person.
The demon's little black orbs focused on the cat, he paused and took a deep breath. He looked down behind him under some foliage where he had left his back pack and spear. Shouldn't need those, the beast master looks nice enough. Hmm... screw it I am going down there without them. His legs lifted him to a stand and then looking down only for a moment he prepared himself. He prepared his muscles for the impact of the ground. Everything tensed, even his mind stiffened, focusing solely on landing properly. One foot was in the air, and with the other he pivoted and scurried down the pillar. No way am we.. I mean am I actually going to jump down from here.
He poked his head out from behind the pillar and stared blankly at the man on the cat. His teeth glistening almost on there own. His smile would be considered a sneer of a grin of pure evil intent to normal people. Raku however didn't believe this fellow was normal, after all he was riding a huge cat. He stared for a moment more knowing full well that he had been seen. He slowly stepped out from behind the pillar the whole time wondering what the man would think seeing a demon that wasn't running and screaming to attack him.
Eliel - August 18, 2008 10:39 PM (GMT)
Eliel watched as the demon hopped down and approached him. The grin on it's face set him on edge. Nobody had a reason to be happy here. In his eyes, this place was full of nothing but sorrow and mysteries to be left untouched.
The gauntlet on his left hand twitched as the claws extended from his fingertips, shining needles that were quill-thick. As delicate as they looked, they had the potential to do serious damage. The metal itself was indestructible, making for a deadly weapon in itself.
It didn't appear to be hostile, but that meant nothing. He'd had a recent run in with a demon, and had ended up banishing it. But not before the thing did some serious mental damage. Eliel grinned as it approached, looking down at it with all the arrogance of the drow nobility.
“Yes, daemon?” He asked coolly. The thing appeared to be physically harmless, being so small. But that could oft be a mistake. Such thinking could get someone killed.
Gwen sniffed at it warily, a snarl on her face. Her telepathic link had begun to draw from Eliel, melding with his personality a bit. The umbra began probing around herself with her telepathy, meanwhile looking the daemon over.
DornKoon - August 19, 2008 12:30 AM (GMT)
Alice tilted her head slightly to the right, it appeared as if the demon had not eve seen her as she was standing there, he walked away to the other side...now she noticed Eliel and Gwen, her eyebrows raised slightly as she noticed the two of them, she had seen this man on the party in the city, he had been shopping from the lady ruby. Something for his cat if she remembered correctly. She calmly walked towards them in a slow phase and calmly watched what they where doing. A slight grin appeared in her face for a second but it was gone again soon after, the sorceress shook her head and placed one hand on her forehead.
Alice did not say anything and stopped as she reached the middle of the square, the others could of course see her where she was, but she did not care about it and was not afraid. The demoness moved one hand though her hair and moved some of it away from her face. "My it sure is much people of different kinds running around in this ruins today" she suddenly said with a calm voice, she giggled slightly and examined her fingers for a moment, as always they where perfect, just as she was in general. She then looked back at the two of them and gave them a slight grin that showed her perfect teeth. She sure looked like a nice lady, but there was something dark about her, something out of normal...a signature that was very hard to place...was she evil or was she good? Not even with the right spell was it possible to read her heart and mind.
Daemus Immortalis - August 24, 2008 09:30 PM (GMT)
Daemus watched as the demon clambered down from the pillar. I really don't like this he thought. He then noticed that there were more people around the ruins. The first one that he saw was a drow riding an umbra. He wore the traditional drow attire with his piwafwi and drow scimitar. I'm definitely keeping my eye on you Daemus thought. Know matter who he was, Daemus didn't trust drow. Usually drow tended to be as devious as himself, and that wasn't a nice thing. Then he saw a woman come into the center. Daemus could not help but feel uneasy around her for some reason. Daemus' gut had helped him a lot of the time, and he trusted it even now.
Daemus was walking behind Alice when he said "Indeed it is. Not every day that you see a demon, a drow, and a lady in The Ruins of the Ancient City. Interesting how the road can take us to these many different places. Wouldn't you agree?"
