Title: Forgotten
Description: open

The night was cool enough that she decided to venture to a place that seemed to have a strange light and grace to it. High up in the air a flurry of show danced along on the wind until it came to the falls and the lake near by. Then it whiffed up a moment before drifting down in a lazy spiral. Then, as the frozen crystals were just starting to reach the ground, they spiraled about each other, packing themselves together until the form of a woman appeared. She was dressed in white and had long white hair. As she became slowly more solid, her skin slowly turned from white to pale blue, the an even deeper blue. She took a deep breath and let it out as the last of the snow solidified into her staff.
She wasn't sure, but she thought she had felt someone or something nearby. It was night time though. If she was lucky, whom ever it was would be fast asleep. Taking her mind off of the possibility of having a confrontation, she looked up at the falls. Even in the pale light of the half moon and shimmering stars, she could still see a ghost-like rainbow. It was pale mist that floated in the air made her smile. With careful steps, she made her way along the edge of the lake, the mist that landed on her freezing into tiny crystals. She stopped in a spot that made the rainbow seem very bright in the mist. As she watched it dance across the mist she wondered what she was going to do now.
She had been a guardian, summoned from her home to the mountains not far from here. She had protected those souls until they dies of old age. But now… now she didn’t know how to return home. She didn’t even know where her home was in relation to Imythess. She had heard tale of more snow and ice further north but she had no way of getting there. So now she had to decide what she was going to do about this situation. More magic would help.

Moonlight poured endlessly across the lands, spilling its luminescent light in great brilliance across the pathway in front of him and the countless objects that surrounded him. Bringing them to view in a beautiful dull blue shade of hue, but the main thing that caught his wandering eyes was the trail of snow that drifted through the air and made its way towards the falls. The thought intrigued him, but there was no hustle in his footsteps as he continued along his way, using the staff to aid him in his tiresome walk. Upon his back rested a large blade that seemed to shine with an incredible light, especially in the soft glow of the moon. The most notable of his features would have to be the style of clothing he wore, which seemed quite foreign to the masses of these lands.
It was of no concern though, since none of them really mattered to him. They were nothing but useless pawns to be trapped forever in a game. Much like that of Chinese checkers, there was always opposing sides, but once one got overtaken the game was won. And at the lead of each of those opposing sides resided a king, a being of high power who vast outweighed the pawns, minions, and soldiers. It seemed all frivolous to him and interested him very little as did fighting lately. Not only did he not have the strength for it anymore, but there wasn’t a reason and the will just wasn’t there.
Upon nearing the falls his eyes drifted around before landing upon a woman gazing at the beauty of the falls. Shifting his eyes from the woman and up to the falls, his eyes studied the interesting glow of it and the faint rainbow that perched itself across its span slightly in the air. After the moment of silence the man would tap his staff upon the ground three times before speaking, “I mean no disrespect by interrupting your…Admiration. I am Moriel Dez Vokan and you are…?”

She turned her head and shoulders to locate a tapping noise to discover a thin looking shadowy figure. Much like those who were often after the ones she had once protected… Her eyes narrowed slightly when she saw him. He wasn’t rude though. It was most likely because those souls she had been brought to Imythess to protect were not around anymore. So she really didn’t have to worry about dark and shadowy people. She had never worried about them before anyways. Why should she start now? Especially as she was in no mood to fight.
She turned to face him and nodded slightly in greeting. “I was just taking a look around. This seems to be an interesting place. It feels…” She let her gaze travel around the place once more. “It feels like a secret. One hidden in plane sight so that even though people look at it, they really don’t see it.”
Her gaze returned once more to the man. She was going to have to ask someone, should she ever get to know anyone well enough, how they could stand to wear so much clothing in such a warm, even hot, world. She had argued about clothing with those who she had protected. She wore enough to not be revealing anything, what ever that meant, but she wasn’t about to roast because of some foolish fauxpau. "My name is Nia."

“Nia...” He mused over her name for a bit before turning his attention over towards the falls, studying them intently. It was a place he had never visited in his time upon these planes only because of his simple folly with the rest of his vices. The main being a reversal to his sentencing on these planes and the other was the removal of Manic. It was the only way he could free himself of these binds to this world since he created the man he had become. But he often mused whether he could even handle Manic, even with assistance. Perhaps it was simply a façade he fabricated in his head to ease the slow rot of his strength with the passing days.
Even still…He had to try, but if he could find another route he would try to follow that one instead. Taking the staff that he held in his hands, he would shift it so the other hand could grasp it, bring it to a point directly in the center of the space between his feet. Leaning forward slightly, he would use his arms and the staff to aid his support on his stance before glancing up to Nia again, “There are secrets everywhere, in everyone. The way they act and the way they behave, what their goals are. Even cities have their own secrets; you just have to take a look around.” As if to add to his statement his hand would lift from the staff only to swipe outwardly in a slow drawn out action to simply present her sight to everything around her again.
“Even I have my own secrets, this is not my normal flesh…But that is a story for another time perhaps. As for now, I’m simply going to enjoy my time however short it could be. So there’s no need to clutter it with such serious talk. Now…I was following something here…I was simply curious where it went and what caused it. That was of course when I found you, I have suspicions but I’ll let you answer them on your own without any vice to hold you to speaking.” A plastic smile crossed his flawed lips while he watched her actions and her features, curious to see what she would say or do.

A slight smile crossed her features as he spoke of secrets. She wasn't here to search out other's secrets. She had been brought here to protect. Now she had no one and nothing to protect. What was left for her in Imytess? An empty cave? A snow capped mountain range? It wasn't much.
Nia looked back to the falls for a few breaths and then let her gaze shift back to the stranger. Was she interested in his story? Not really... "If I had flesh I might be able to sympathize," She held her hands out to indicate her own form, "but this is as close as I can manage." Nia let her hands drop to her sides then and shifted her weight over to her left leg.
"As for what you were looking for, I think I would have to know what it was you were following before I could say anything about that." She pivoted then toward the falls and started up the narrow path that lead behind the falls. As she moved, frosted foot prints were left behind. The water on the ground frozen by her passing. Nia looked at the narrow entrance and paused for a moment. The water didn't seem too warm. Perhaps it wouldn't steal too much of her body temperature. It was too erratic for her to shift forms and pass through it. She would risk being dragged down into the debts of the lake that way.
