Title: Plans and Plots
Description: P
Slazhar Rex - August 9, 2008 05:39 PM (GMT)
Slazhar calmly walked though the Norwood forest, his phase was slow but steady. His glowing eyes calmly looked from the left to the right and then back to the left again a little now and then. The fiend was in no hurry and he really did not have a reason to be here, he was simply on his way to the other side of the forest. He had finished his last protection not long ago and it had been a simple task to protect a noble on his way to the village for some business. Simple but with a good payment of course.
Slazhar smiled slightly to himself as he walked, he stopped for a few minutes to looked around and then he changed direction. His gaze moved up and he could see that the clouds was gathering them selfs in the sky...It was going to be rain, of course he could not be sure...but it would most likely be rain.
Yaksha - August 9, 2008 06:34 PM (GMT)
Yaksha's voice rang out from behind Slazhar, full of pity and a conceited pride. "Why, Slazhar. It would appear you've been quite busy, lately." He walked out from a nearby grouping of bushes, not even bothering with a human guise. "Very good to see you again. I trust you've been contemplating my terms of employment?" He pulled a jingling sack from behind him, and threw it to Slazhar. "A little holiday bonus."
He chuckled softly to himself, and walked ahead, motioning for him to follow. "Ever since Taras took such a beating, I've needed a new residence. I've found a few less than amazing places, but some of them work for my purposes. Come, you may be surprised."
Slazhar Rex - August 9, 2008 06:48 PM (GMT)
Slazhar stopped and listened to the voice. Of course he had heard the demon before he began to talk, the fiend was no fool. "One has to make them selfs a living in this world" he replied calmly and he still did not look at the other man. He did not reply to the comment about the missing part, he did not miss anyone. The only thing in this world he trusted was money.
He calmly grabbed the sack in the air and calmly looked at it for a moment, then he placed it inside of his robe and for the first time since he walked out Slazhar now looked at Yaksha. "Holidays are useless" he commented with a dry voice. He slolwy walked after his employer.
The bodyguard calmly listened to him as he was talking. "There are few things in this world that can surprise me" he said as he walked up next to Yaksha. It was true, even if he was surprised his demonic nature made it impossible for him to show any kind of human emotions, he could fell them on the inside but not show them on the outside.
Yaksha - August 16, 2008 11:18 PM (GMT)
Yaksha merely chuckled, and nodded solemnly. "As it is with me. Follow me, we've much to discuss." His long, spindly legs worked quickly, rocketing himself ahead. He walked through several bushes, then smiled back at Slazhar. "You may enjoy what I'm about to show you." He gave a soft titter, and arrived at a large mountainside. He stood by it, smiling happily. "Right in here, friend."
He rummaged through his pockets, finally pulling out a small peice of chalk. He drew a rather odd door, then knocked. After a moment, the door swung open, revealing an odd, black door-shaped abyss. "After you, my friend. I'll be right here."
Slazhar Rex - August 16, 2008 11:35 PM (GMT)
Slazhar listened to his temporary master as he was talking, the fiends raised an eyebrow to his words...or he would have if he had any...but since he was mostly insect it did not work very well. "We will see about that" he replied calmly. The bodyguard watched Yaksha as he picked out the chalk and painted the door onto the mountainside. This was very odd since he had never seen any magic like this before, he was very surprised when the created door opened and reveled a dark worldlooking thing on the other side.
Slazhar tilted his head slightly to the left and watched the darkness for a moment, he looked at Yaksha when he began to talk again, then he nodded slightly and with calm phase he walked into the dark abyss thing. When he arrived to the other side he calmly stopped and waited for Yaksha to come after him inside, he crossed his arms as he was waiting. Now what was this madman planing to do anyway? He was such a weird creature, but hey he had the money Slazhar wanted...he did not need to know more then that for now.
He did not even bother to examine where he was, he was not interested of it as it was now...what was so speciall abouth this place anyway. The fiend still did not understand Yakshas words about that Slazhar was going to like this? Weird.
Yaksha - August 16, 2008 11:42 PM (GMT)
Yaksha stepped through the dark opening, and it shut quickly behind him. He waved a hand, and then chuckled. "As of this moment, we are in the heart of the mountain, and the very front of my new stronghold. This chalk allows me to quite literally walk through walls, and take anyone I wish after me. However, the moment I enter, the door shuts." He spun around, and sighed. "So dark in here. Let's fix that."
Yaksha flicked his wrist, and a whip of flames lashed from his palm, hitting a nearby peice of kindling, and starting a fire. "Much better! Now, shall I give you the grand tour? It's not too roomy, and terribly uninviting, but nearly impregnable aside from this chalk." He walked ahead, hands at his sides. "So, enjoying your stay so far?"
Slazhar Rex - August 16, 2008 11:55 PM (GMT)
Now when Yaksha was inside Slazhar took his time to look around, he listened to his masters voice as he was talking about his magic chalk and everything, he closed his eyes for a second when he started the fire. Slazhar did not like to bright light to quickly. But he soon adapted and could see things clearly again.
He thought of what he would say to something like this. "Well I have never seen magic like this before, pretty rare stuff. Iīm impressed" but from the sound of his voice he just sounded bored, but that was the way he was after all and Yaksha would most likely know this by now since it was a part of the bodyguards reputation.
Slazhar calmly walked right close to Yaksha as he walked further. "This smells of dark elf magic, it has to be it." he said with a thoughtful voice and moved his gaze around the area as they walked. He did not know how he knew that, it was just the feeling from all around them that was screaming drow!
He made a strange sound that would sound like the one created by insects. Then he moved one hand to inside of the hood and scrached himself on the cheek. "I enjoy little things in these worlds. But this place has itīs charm, the darkness and the emptyness is calming to my mind" he brushed somethin off his robe and stretched his finger looking claws as he was walking.
Yaksha - August 17, 2008 12:21 AM (GMT)
Yaksha spread his arms wide, and laughed. "Yes, I chose this place because it reminds me so of the very abyss we came from." He motioned for him to follow, then looked over his shoulder. "Oh, and to set the record straight. Master is much too formal for me. Something like boss is much more to my suit. I may be paying you, but that doesn't mean we can't get along."
He sat down on a nearby rock, and motioned him to another one. "I heard your chittering moments ago. We are not so different, Slazhar. Both demons, both from the abyss, and both caring about few other than ourselves." He gave a soft, tremulous laugh, then leaned back. "I do think we can acheive amazing things, if plans go well."
Slazhar Rex - August 17, 2008 12:41 AM (GMT)
Slazhar nodded, he understood what his boss was talking about. Not that he did not like this place, it was much better then the stupid outside world anyway.
"I see, well I will call you that then boss" he said and lowered his arms, he followed Yaksha with his eyes and walked with him, when he motioned for the fiend to sit Slazhar calmly nodded and sat down like ordered to. His gaze was focused on his employer.
When Yaksha was done talking Slazhar nodded again. "Your very right about that, we are very similar you and I, but the sound I made before was not for you. I was talking to my companion, she is a little unsure of what to do and I calmed her down" his hand moved inside of the robe and he picked out a small moth with a pink color and bright yellow eyes. It looked at Yaksha for a moment and quickly dissappeared inside of the robe again. Slazhar laughed and shook his head. "You must forgive her, but Nina is not very forwards when around people she donīt know. I can speak to her because of my insect nature. But she is very helpful and heals me when Iīm damaged, she can ever cure poison" he made a low sound and if one listened closly one could hear a simliar one inside of the robe.
Slazhar then looked back at Yaksha. "I have no doubts that we will make great things you and I, I never said anything less. But I still have no ide what your planing to do." he calmled pickedup his mace and began to examine it, nothing intimidating about it, he just made sure it was okey.
Yaksha - August 17, 2008 01:01 AM (GMT)
A moth flew out from Yaksha's own pocket, landing near Slazhar's, and examining it. "Why, it would appear I've one, too. How quaint." He chuckled, then looked intently at Slazhar. "The first step of the plan is already in action. We must turn this world against itself, as a black hole will devour it's own essence, given time enough."
He then leaned back, staring at the ceiling, his next words full of barely concealed glee. "The second step is one I was skeptical of at first, but now there is absolutely no doubt of it. The second step..." His head literally jerked down, a purely demonic grin on it. "Is to awaken Lilith."
Slazhar Rex - August 17, 2008 01:19 AM (GMT)
Slazhar watched the othet moth at it appeared, he examined it for a moment and then he nodded slightly. "Yes it looks like that would be the case" he calmly said and turned his gaze to Yaksha again. "How very quaint indead" he did not laugh or chuckly to this like Yaksha had done, he saw no reason to do so.
He listened to the plan and he understod what his boss had in mind, it was a good plan but one that would need much careful working of course.
He followed the demons gaze as he looked up into the ceeling, but Slazhar did not see anything of interest there so he looked down and back to his mace, he looked back up at Yakshas final words and if he would have been able to look surprised then that he would have. "Lilith?" he asked calmly. "What I know she was killed in a raind against the abyss many generations ago, I only heard words about her from my father when I was just a kid. Many just think of her as a legend or something." he made a pause and examined Yakshas face for a moment before he continued to talk. "But I guess you would not get yourself into something that was not real?" Either this man was mad and very crazy, or he really did have some way to bring back one of the most feared demonic queens in the abyss to the world of the living.
Yaksha - August 17, 2008 01:31 AM (GMT)
Yaksha stared at him for a moment, then shook his head. "Oh, Slazhar. You truly think a demon of such power could be slain so easily? Nonono! She HID, Slazhar. She took her place in a mortal, for a time. She took a guise, and she portrayed herself as a mere demon. She lives on still, in a normal person. But, her bonds grow weak, and her own essence seeps through the woman. It is a mere matter of time before Lilith herself is alive, in a new body."
Slazhar Rex - August 17, 2008 01:39 AM (GMT)
Slazhar listened to this, he did not know what he would think...it was weird to hear something like this from his employer. He did not say anything as he gathered his thoughts for a moment, then he nodded slowly. "I admit I never thought that was your plan Yaksha" he began to say slowly. "But it sounds like a possibility, like you said that a creature of such power is not easy to kill completely. But then I have to ask, how was it that you found out that she was still around anyway?" he examined Yaksha as he asked this, to try and understand a little better how his boss was thinking.
Yaksha - August 17, 2008 01:48 AM (GMT)
He spread his hands, and chuckled. "Why, beside Lilith and the king, I'm one of the oldest demons from the abyss! As a matter of fact..." He rose, puffing out his chest. "I was one of Lilith's most trusted advisors, before the raid. I would recognize her signature anywhere, and there's only one person on this little shithole with it." He hissed, and then stared at his hands. "Alice."
Slazhar Rex - August 17, 2008 02:01 AM (GMT)
Slazhar raised an eyebrow...did he see some vanity there? He was sure he did, well who could blame him, not many had ever been the advisor of one of the great demonic families in the abyss. It was a waste world and ruled by many, he did not keep himself up to date with the latest since it was of little interest, but he knew enough from his point of things. "I see, well that is a good for you then. Must have been hard to lose everything because of that raid back then? Is it true they needed a large group of paladins to take the queen down? I take it you where there when it happened" for once he sounded slightly interested, but only slightly.
The name he said, Alice? Did not ring any bells at all, Alice was not a very uncommon name in Imythess, he could not know what Alice he was talking about....but then suddenly he remembered something from a while back...the mountains, where he meet that demon Erolam, that weird man Melmoth...and that lady in green dress and the gorgeous body...he was not sure but he thought that her name was Alice, could that be the lady Yaksha was talking about? I would not be surprising if that was the case. He nodded slightly but did not say anything since he was not sure if he was right or now. "But I would not call the world a shitehole boss, the only Cute about it is the people who donīt understand how grateful they should be for the world they have" he closed his hand as he said this and the fiend closed his eyes for a moment, but he opened them again soon after.
Yaksha - August 17, 2008 02:21 AM (GMT)
Yaksha's eyes grew cold, and hard. He rose, and lept at Slazhar, slamming him roughly against a wall. "Hard? HARD!? It was agony, it was the epitome of pain! How would you like it...." His fingers had hooked into talons, and he pressed them against his cheek. "If I found Shara. If I brought that sweet, innocent little girl here, and if I took her from you." His teeth pulled back, into a nasty grin. "But, before I take her, I would TAKE her."
He slammed his head back against the cave, his nostrils flaring and his eyes pits of rage. "Wait until I've slain Shara, until you watch the blood of your own loved ones flowing next to you. Of others dying, so you may live! THEN, Slazhar..." He leaned forward, his tongue flaring out, and running over his eye. "THEN you can speak to me if it hurts; if the pain of losing all you cared for, of all that mattered to you, simply HURTS."
He sighed, let Slazhar go, and slumped back on a rock. "I watched my family die. I heard the screams of a thousand demons, all cut short but those who thought they were doing GOOD. This world is most decidedly a shithole. And, it is those fucking humans who made it that way. The pathetic humans, spending all their days growing fat and placid. These little people have grown weak, and soft over the years. They're as sheep, never realizing the threats that surround them. This world is much due for a nice reset."
Slazhar Rex - August 17, 2008 02:36 AM (GMT)
Slazhar was calm though most off this as it happened, the fact that Yaksha puched him into the wall did not hurt him the slightlest. The demon was not to strong and Slazhar could take damage. He closed his eyes for a moment, but when he heard the name he opened them again and moved quickly, he grabbed Yaksha by the throat and forced him backwards, the bodyguards size was greater then his employers so it would not be hard for him to force him back, there was a glare in his eyes. "I have lost everything before, do not speak to me about lsing anything, at least you had a family. My mother would not even look at me when I was born....and my father died in front of my eyes when I was five and he tried to protect me" he said and now there was anger in his voice. "I donīt care about any living creature in this world, but if you do anything against her, then I will kill you. Iīm not afraid of you our your powers, I will kill you over and over again"
His grip around the demon lords throat became slightly harder and he easily lifted him up from the ground into the air. "Remember that I do this for money, I have no faith for you or anyone else, like I said, the world itself is not bad, it is the people in it that is the problem." he then threw Yaksha to the side as ig he had been a rock or something, he brushed some dust of his robe and picked up the mace from the ground. "Shara was an....exeption from the rest of them, she could not see with her eyes, but she used other things to see with" he calmly sat down again and moved his red eyes so that he looked right at Yaksha. "But you would never understand my relation to that woman, you might know who she is, but you have no ide what we share" she shook his head slightly, and then he returned to tend to his mace as if nothing had ever happened.
Yaksha - August 17, 2008 02:38 AM (GMT)
Yaksha simply smiled up at him. "You think my family cared for me? I was always the weakling, the scrawny one. They shunned me, but I never hated them for it. I've been alone for decades, Slazhar. Never forget that, my friend. I have no doubts that this is a great world, I simply think that it would be so much greater without the humans."
Slazhar Rex - August 17, 2008 02:53 AM (GMT)
Slazhar laughed. "Well I have nothing against it since Shara is not human" he calmly said. "Kill them all if you feel like doing so, I do not care" he turned the mace around and began to tend to the other side with great care. "I have nothing personaly against humans since I have worked for many of them before in my life, they often has much money in there pockets" he laughed again and shook his head slightly. "But you think age has any material importance to me? I will live for decades, I might not be decades old like yourself but I will be. Not that I care, I will live my life like I have done so far or join your world domination thing, who knows what will happen"
Yaksha - August 18, 2008 04:45 PM (GMT)
"And as you live these decades, so shall I. You shall never be any older or wiser than me, I will always have 300 years on you." He pushed up off his rock, then waved a hand dismissivly. "You can take your leave now, Slazhar." He sighed, and then lay back on a stone.
Slazhar Rex - August 18, 2008 05:26 PM (GMT)
Slazhar listened to him as he was talking. "Maybe so, but I do not care about things like that. Power is not as interesting to me as it is to you from nodle demonic families." he said calmly and stood up, then he turned around and began to walk away. "I will leave, but I will keep an eye on things myself. I am to be your bodyguard after all." he laughed slightly and placed the mace inside of his robe, he moved his gaze back to Yaksha for a moment again. "See ya boss" then he began to walk again away from his boss.
