Aira walked into the tavern with a smile on her lips. Her long blonde, nearly white hair flowed around her waist as she walked. Her grey eyes looked the owner in the eye and she waved a delecate porcline skined hand at him.
He smiled just as broadly and came over to her with a small bow. "What can I do for you?"
"I need a room to rent next to my sisters, they already came I belive. One has short black hair, the other red, and the other brown." She said indicating the lenght of hair with her hands as she talked.
"The other beautys? Yes they came. But forgive me for saying, I do not see the resemblance. You all have different, hair, eye, and skin color." He said while looking at the floor.
Aira laughed, talking the owner by suprise. "Dont ever be to sure about something." She said with a kind smile.
"Welll uhm you've got room 17." He said handing her a brass key whith intracate decorations on it.
Aira traced the patterns with her finger tips. "Thank you!" And with those last words she flitted up the steps and to her room.

Or atleast what she thought was her room, she was oblivious when she opened the door to room 15, the one next to her own room. HEr eyes went wide with embarassment as she danced lightly into the wrong room.

Pattin walked through Cascadia with a happy grin on his face. He'd just gone for a swim in the Black river and paid for the return trip with the man's own money. How easy life was being a pickpocket. Nobody seemed to be able to find him. His height made people look over him looking for a running culprit, thinking him a child.

Lightfoot padded along into the broken strings and to the barkeep. He got up on a barstool to see him and reached into his pockets. He poked his tongue tip out as he searched and pulled out ten of his own coins. He frowned and handed them over with a sigh.

“One night, please.” He said with a smile. The barkeep smiled at him, surely for his height, and chuckled as he gave him a key Pattin took it and hopped down, going over to the side of the bar and up the stairs. He heard a few curious sounds and walked into the hall.

Pattin saw an open door and a girl walk in. Curiously, he walked up to the door and grabbed the doorway's edge, looking in. He chuckled, walking into the doorway unashamedly.

“Ah, I love this inn.” He said with a smile, nipping at a block of cheese he'd swiped.

Aira did a full body convuslion as he scared her once he talked. She then relaxed and put a hand to her heart. Her grey eyes watched him carefully, taking in his outer appearance and what may lay behind his initial mask. He had skin tanned by the rays of the sun, in fact he looked much darker than her own pale skin. His hair was worn loose, a sandy sort of brown color. Very different from her own pale blonde that shone in the rays of the sun. He was indeed an attractive person, if you minues the cheese he held.

Aira looked at him and let out a breath. "Whats the matter with you? you scared me half ot death!" She said crossing her arms infront of her chest.
As if on cue a thunder bold struck the ground and the sound roared through the inn, rain begining to pelt the windows and punch the roof. The sound and smell of the rain calmed her down, she wanted to go outside to play, but now she was tied up.

Still she offered him a smile, not one of her most dazzaling, but a smile none the less and replied to his earlier comment. "I wouldnt go so far as to say I love it, but it does have a certain kind of charm. How long are you staying?" She asked.

Pattin looked at her strangely, looking down at himself to see if he had grown any taller, or turned into an elf. She seemed to think he was cute, but to a larger extent than most others. Halflings didn't normally receive this kind of attention. Ever. He gave her a strange look, looking at the people in the room.

He flinched as the lightning went off and it began raining, but he decided he'd seem weirder. In fact, he'd been the target of stranger things.

“Me? I'm staying for the night.” He looked up at her. He was about mid-stomach height to her. Hell, he was short enough to look like her son. “How about you? How long are you here for, deary?” He asked with a wink, taking a small bite off the cheese.

Halflings weren't much for romance.

It wasnt until now she had realized how short he really was. She looked down at him and raised an eye brow. She ewas much taller than he. But no matter it didnt effect her conversation. But he did look at her as if she had 5 heads. At this she only rolled her grey eyes.

Regarding how long she was to stay, even she wasnt sure, but she knew it would be for atleast three days. "That has yet to be decided." She said as she twirled a piece of her hair around her finger absent mindedly. "And am I in the way of your room? I'm sorry if i am." She said stepping aside for him to walk in.

Aira also noticed he flinched at rain. "What is the matter with rain? It wonderful! It drains your sorrows and washes away tears. It inspires people. Its fantastic." She said with a big smile on her face, making her look much youngr than her years.

Pattin Lightfoot - August 12, 2008 06:46 PM (GMT)
Pattin looked at the room, then back at her. “Oh! No, I'm just looking.” He said with a laugh. “So I guess this isn't your room either?” He said with a shrug. His mace bounced on his leg. Deciding since they were the only ones in a room that wasn't there, he held his hands out in a shrug, palming a ring on the desk in the action.

“Aye, rain is great and all, I washes away footprints, smells, fingerprints...” He looked around nervously. “But usually it doesn't rain indoors. I always thought a building was made to get one out of the weather. Not contain it.” He said, looking around.

Pattin looked her over, smiling to himself as he nibbled at the cheese, finishing it off. She was beautiful indeed, long blond hair, and skinny too. Not as chubby as halfling women usually were. Attractive.

“Where are my manners? My name is Pattin J. Lightfoot. Don't ask what the J is for.” He said with a friendly smile.

Aira raised an eye brow. The rain was outside. Had it been inside now that would have been quite the problem. Her sister of water would be suspeced and hte inn keeper would kick her out. "Uhm it is raining outside, and this isnt my room." And with that she walked out of the room and into the hall leaning up against the wall peering into the doorway.

His cheese was now gone so she suspeced he had a good meal. But living off cheese? Why one would go mad. Cheese was good and all but too much cheese could be bad for the mind and body.

With a laugh at his name she smiled. "I'm Aira." Then coming down to his level she looked at him in the face and with a mock appolagetic smile she teased him just a little. "Im asking what the J is for." She would not have asked if he had not mentioned it. But he had. So there was his bed now he must lie in it.

Pattin shrugged. “Whatever.” He sighed and looked around quickly as she left the room. He left as well, closing the door and fiddling with the ring. “Nice name, that. A beautiful name for a beautiful woman.” he winked again.

He cocked an eyebrow when she bent down, wondering why she woul-- ah. Should have guessed. Of course, these humans couldn't resist doing what you told them not to. Most other races would respect that, but with humans you had to use reverse psychology or not at all.

He chuckled and grunted at her. “we can say it's....” He looked around the room to help him, but nothing came to mind “Jordan. There.” He smiled. For sure she wouldn't believe him, but he wouldn't say it.

He rather disliked the name Jorbles.

Aira had a feeling he was lying through his teeth. Why? Well he looked around in a panic, some sweat began to bead on his forehead and he siad it very suddenly as if he had only htought of it. But she woudlnt bug him anymore. She smiled. "Ok, then I'm giong to call you that from now on!" She said with a proud grin.

"Jordan. That is your new name." She stood again and lightly walked down the hall and bck down the stairs and out the door. At first she stood under the awning just to watch the rain. Pitter patter, pitter patter, it sent her an intoxicating smell she closed her eyes and inhaled the aroma. It was her favorite part of nature.

"And thanks, for the compliment before. It was very kind of you." She said sitting on the ground, getting mudd on her dress, hr fingers, she didnt mind.

Pattin Lightfoot - August 12, 2008 08:35 PM (GMT)
Pattin looked to the side. “Bah, humans. Can't live with them, and yet... they're everywhere.” He grumbled a little, He watched her go down the stairs and sighed. Figuring she walked outside, he walked to the wall at the end and drew a large rectangular shape. He pushed on it and it swung open, making a large doorway in the side of the inn.

Pattin appeared just to Aira's left and a little above. He sat on the inn floor, legs swinging into the open air, enjoying the breeze. He looked down at Aira and chuckled. “Aye, but how true it was.” He said with a nod.

Pattin slipped on the ring and fiddled with it. It would fetch a fine price. Gold with an emerald on top. Very nice.

“So what brings a nice girl like you here?”
