Title: Houses

I suggest, adding an option to upgrade your preexisting house.

Say, you already have a small house, because that is all the money you had at the time, then, at a later date, wish to upgrade to a medium house. To do such, I suggest, paying a lesser amount of money to upgrade your preexisting home.

Does this sound unreasonable, or is it already in motion?

For now, you pay the difference between what you already paid and the cost of the new home.

Or at least I think that's the way it is...

Really? Does the reduction stack? I never saw that.

Melmoth - August 7, 2008 04:04 AM (GMT)
Small House
Buying Price: 200

Medium House
Buying Price: 400

Large House
Buying Price: 600

Grand House
Buying Price: 1000

Small Palace
Buying Price: 2000

Normal prices right?

Say you have a small house.

Here's your upgrade costs.

Medium House
Buying Price: 200

Large House
Buying Price: 400

Grand House
Buying Price: 800

Small Palace
Buying Price: 1800

From what I understand you just take the cost of the house you already have off the house you want to upgrade it to. It's unspoken on what's the official upgrade procedure, so don't quote me on this.

But if you buy Small and Medium, the question is, could you buy a Large House for free, or does it not stack?

Melmoth - August 7, 2008 04:44 AM (GMT)
If you have a small house, you would pay 400 gold to make it a large one. If you have a medium house, it would cost 200 to make it large.

The way I see it is that (as of yet) there isn't a house upgrade shop, so its not possible to do that. For you to get a medium house you'd have to buy it separately, with the possibility of you selling your previous house to buy a new one.

And realistically, if you possess a small house and a medium house, then that would mean that you had two houses, each of a different size. In reality, those two houses can't be shoved together to make a bigger house.

I'm just talking from a realistic perspective, as if you were purchasing a house in real-life, but as Melmoth has said previously, don't quote me on this :P

The way it has worked before it like this:

Someone has a small house. (200 gold)
They want a medium house. (400 gold)
They talk to the admin.
They add on to their small house to make it a medium house. (cost: 200 gold)

Each house is upgraded individually and only with admin permission at this point. Much like melding weapons or other such things. It's like adding an addition to your house. The idea of having a system set up to upgrade houses is not a bad idea though. When Veronna and Nightwind come back I'll let them know about it and see what they think.

As Shadeen I've already used this method of upgrade and I know that Nightwind agrees with it as well. Although not offically mentioned I believe it is the unspoken way of going about upgrading a house.
