Aether Draka - August 3, 2008 07:58 PM (GMT)
((OOC: this is where AD went right after the topic Attack on Taras))

The shadows in the early morning light all seemed to tremble and quiver for a moment as Aether Draka appeared from them, appearing to rip herself from the darkness. The moment her bloodied boots hit the dirt she fell down to her hands and knees, the many braids of her hair falling about her face. The dirt stuck to the blood on her hands and knees too. She was breathing fast, gasping for air as her head swam. Her hands closed into fists, gripping the dirt and packing it into hard balls in her hands as it slowly soaked up the blood.

It was wrong... it was all wrong... How could this have happened? How could she have expected anything more? Why hadn't she seen it coming? She wanted to strangle him, but she couldn't even find him. What if it hadn't been what he had planned either? What if... She staggered slowly to her feet and drew in a ragged breath. She hadn't seen where she had gone to and when she saw where it was she grinned maliciously. She let go of the dirt in her hands and thoughtlessly wiped the dirt and blood on her pants. Drawing a blade in each hand she gripped them tightly, the one in her right hand held clumsily compared to her left hand due to the scar on her palm. She shifted her weight backwards, her back arching as she threw her head back and let out a scream with all the force her lungs could take. She felt it tear itself out of her and her throat stung from the sound as she breathed sharply back in to replace the air for the scream. She heard the sound echo about her in this old and dusty ruined city.

Her emerald eyes narrowed as she let her chin drop back down to looked around and saw what she was looking for, as if called by her pain filled scream… though it was more emotional pain then physical. The blood on her wasn't her own after all. As the undead staggered toward her, a few more showing behind it, she rushed forward to meet it, both masterwork daggers working as one weapon as she brought them down on the zombie's head and split it's skull wide open and severing it from it's spine. She didn't wait for it to fall, but immediately rounded on the next one as she let the anger she felt flow out through her blades. She didn't make another sound as she felt her blades strike the undead flesh of the zombies as they came towards the direction of the scream and the smell of blood and ashes.

Eliel - August 3, 2008 08:46 PM (GMT)
Eliel rode on Gwen's back, eying the ruins with many feelings. This place had held so many things in his life, so many memories, so many emotions. He was unsure of what it was that drew him here with such force, he'd been finding it so enticing recently. Eliel watched as the morning light began shining, making his form easier to define. As usual, he was garbed in much black and darker color. His sash, thoroughly stained a dark brown-red with blood, held his weapons sheathed.

His piwafwi was brought together in front by a pewter brooch, gleaming. He rode atop Gwen, his best friend and companion, an umbra. She was large enough to ride now, and the two took every chance to use that.

Eliel heard a scream and turned towards the source in a snapping motion. Gwen heard it as well, and with a mental confirmation from Eliel, bounded off towards it. Eliel leaned low over her back, gauntleted hand gripping her collar, other hand holding his darken dagger.

Eliel spotted AD, blades flashing at zombies, hacking them down in a cold fury. Eliel kept calm, not letting emotion overtake his actions. He passed by one of the zombies, dagger upside-down in his hand. He slashed out, slicing it's neck to the bone. With a snap of the elbow, it's head was removed. He felt Gwen tense up for a rush by another zombie.

Eliel spun the dagger around and slammed it into another zombie, carrying it a few feet before letting it fall. He unsheathed his scimitar and slashed the chest of a third open, placing his left hand on Gwen's back and pushing off to allow her to join in.

He saw the rubies glow faintly red as she activated the collar, beginning to forge a path for Eliel. He rushed through, cutting into dead flesh and making his way to AD.

Theron Jackster - August 3, 2008 09:32 PM (GMT)
Steeps was approaching, but it was light steeps and because of the noise the undeads made none would really hear anything. A tall shadow moved from building to building of the ruined city. Jumping from one ruined house to another. He was dressed in a black robe that was hiding most of his body and the only thing visible was his feet, he did not have any shoes and his skin was very pale and almost white. The hooded one stopped when he arrived to a tall building and his eyes calmly watched the area for a moment before he began to run again. He could see the sun raising in the distance, the morning was soon to come.

He suddenly stopped when he heard the screams and the zombies, he stopped again and simply listened. Then he quickly ran towards the sound and soon he could see the source and the battle. He stopped at a nearby building and watched the battle. He noticed the other stranger coming from the other way on his cat animal. The man smiled inside of his robe and he tilted his head to the left. This was not his business. But why care about that? It looked like a real blast down there!! He moved quickly and took a jump from the building to a tree and then he jumped from the tree to a lower building and from the building to the ground. He was now on the other side of the undeads, behind AD.

He ran in a circle around the area and as he ran his hand moved to the belt and he grabbed his dagger. He foucsed his attention on one single zombie that was a little to the side, he aimed and the attack hit the undead in the neck. It feel down to the ground right away. Theron jumped to the side as an undead tried to attack him from behind. "Oh no you don´t brainy" he said with a laugh, his voice sounded like the one of a child but with a mix of something else...it was a weird sound really. The man calmly kicked the undead in the back as it came past him and it feel forward to the ground. "My you don´t look to good, to many dead jokes?" he laughed and vaulted backwards away from the undead that now began to stand up again.

Aether Draka - August 3, 2008 10:39 PM (GMT)

These zombies, as mindless as they were, didn't have anyone to command them at the moment, so they simply started to congregate. The number was unimportant to AD, she just wanted something to fight. They were gathering about her, the small of blood still fresh on her, along with smoke and ash, soon combined with the smell of rotten and ruined flesh. All she heard was the sounds of her blades as they severed muscle and tendons and split bones apart at the joints, which was where she was aiming.

Her breathing quickly became ragged as she kept moving. She could feel the burn in her muscles as she kept moving, keeping up her attack at full force. She killed them easily, her focus had narrowed to just her targets, one right after the other. She felt herself simply moving as her mussels started to complain. She ignored them and kept moving, she had to move, she had to do something... Another zombie fell and her vision shifted slightly to find the next closest thing. She attacked the undead with her anger, armed with her blades. The undead she struck next had it's head removed as if AD's two blades were actually scissors. Its head tumbling away long before it's body fell. AD had yet to notice anyone else there at all. Even words didn't seem to reach her...

Eliel - August 3, 2008 10:49 PM (GMT)
Eliel frowned as he saw how AD was fighting. She was being completely reckless, focusing on one zombie at a time. In a fight like this, you had to have your mind open, all your senses focused on every opponent around you. Eliel's load was considerably lighter, as he had Gwen to watch his back. Still yet, even entering this fight alone was foolish. He worried for her.

As far as he knew her, Ad was a sensible girl, who knew who to deal with in what way. He admired her for being able to handle herself. But she seemed to relinquish all her strengths and advantages here, simply focusing on her blades. Eliel sliced and diced, forgetting about all fancy swordplay. He simply cut them down, made sure they were out of the game, and kept going. He let Gwen cover him while he cast a detect undead spell, to make sure who was dead and who wasn't.

Eliel kept an eye on AD, wondering how long she would be able to keep up this pace. The zombies were no longer focusing on her, much to his relief. His efforts made the brainless shells realize he was another target. Gwen's collar glowed as she tore into zombies, growing stronger with each blow, growing power slowed by the wound healing.

Eliel found it slightly disturbing how quiet it was, the only sounds being the low, monotonous moan of a couple zombie, the dull thumps and tearing of blades cutting decaying flesh. Gwen was snarling as well, but overall it was much too quiet for such a large fight.

“AD!” Eliel shouted, deciding it was all he could risk taking his mind off the fight for.

Theron Jackster - August 4, 2008 10:07 AM (GMT)
Theron watched the incoming undeads, it looked like they had noticed that there where others to feed from then just the strange lady that seemed to be in another world or something. The way she simply killed without care for her surroundings, that was some woman really. The man grinned under his hood and quickly dodged another zombie and ended it´s undead life with his dagger. He did it in a mixture, some of the zombies he simply killed of and other he used foot work to trip them or kick them away. He did not care that he got dirty under his feet with dead flesh.

He moved the gaze to the other stranger and his big animal companion. Look how they worked well together, he wanted an animal like that one to help him fight and be his sidekick. That would have to be a later problem anyway. "My it is far to quiet...depressing really." he said with a smile that showed that he was not depressed at all. He jumped up into the air ad made a vault into a group of zombies that was on there way to AD, he quickly began to fight them one at a time as he dodged the others. "This is almost to pathetic to laugh at....what a heck I`l laugh anyway" and so he did, he laughed as he killed of the last from the group he was fighting and then he placed one hand on his forehead and kept laughing. But he quickly gathered himself for the next once in line.

Aether Draka - August 4, 2008 11:39 AM (GMT)
Aether Draka, somewhere in the back of her mind, heard someone speaking, and laughter, somewhere in the back of her mind she heard someone else call her name. She wasn't able to break her concentration on her blades and attack after attack. What ever zombie she focused on for a short time never did get back up. But, unconsciously, she moved to the next undead not by which was closest, but the one between where she was and where she had heard her name.

By now, she had forgotten why she was there. She had forgotten why she felt the need to call on and slaughter these undead. She simply wanted them to die. With every movement she proved that, causing them to fall about her. She had been lucky so far. She was had been able to keep up her speed so far, but she had been in Taras just moments before and the blood and ash still soaked her clothing in some spots. It was slowly starting to dry, causing her clothing to stick to her oddly, specifically her lower legs, where the blood on her was the worse.

Her muscles, already strained from the attack on Taras and without any break yet, started to scream at her. They had enough for now, just a break. She just needed to sit down for a while, to find a nice place to sit and rest. Even if she didn't sleep, her body needed a short time to refresh itself. Her breath had quickened to keep up with her, almost ripping at the inside of her throat as she breathed in the rancid air, but she didn't acknowledge those thoughts. Instead a dark energy enveloped her and she felt she had to keep killing these undead. Her unholy aura wrapped around her as the black flame tattoo along the entire length of her spine flickered to life under her clothing and the blood of others...

Unfortunately, even if her friend Eniel was to stand right in front of her at this moment, she would not be in the state of mind to tell the difference between him and the undead. AD’s blades would flash towards him too. Hopefully he would have enough sense to block her attack, as zombies didn't tend to do that.

Eliel - August 5, 2008 09:47 PM (GMT)
Eliel fought on, drifting towards AD's position slowly. He hacked one down, using the weight of his blade to lop it's arm off, then it's head. Gwen fought ferociously behind him, covering each other's backs while they forged a path to his friend.

Eliel turned to face her, having reached her. All he saw was a blade coming in at him fast. Quickly enough, he blocked it and looked her in the eyes. “AD!” he said loudly, pushing himself away from her blades to return to the zombies.

“AD, snap out of it...” He said in a normal, slightly panicked tone. Even still it could be clearly heard over the strangely quiet night, the loudest sound the blood pumping in his ears.

Gwen had several cuts on her, a patch of fur missing on her right flank. Eliel watched in amazement as she fought, the wounds closed and the fur grew in. Returning to the fight, he glanced at the girl again.

Aether Draka - August 19, 2008 04:32 PM (GMT)
When her blade was blocked, she blinked. Someone else was here... someone... Her odd self trance was broken and she felt like someone had struck her. She felt heavy, tired, and almost ill... but she couldn't quite remember why she was here and what she was doing. Then, undead hands gripped her arm and she felt a sharp pain as broken nails broke the surface of her skin. She was still upset and quickly rounded on her attacker, severing he arm that held her before driving her other dagger into its spine.

She then turned to Eliel and asked, “What are you doing here?” The next question was not voiced, but surprised her none the less, what was she doing here? When had she come here? The last thing she knew, she had been heading to Kellen… hadn’t she? Time… what time was it? She wasn’t able to dodge when Gwen lunged past her and she fell. She tried to get up and it didn’t seem to want to happen. She pushed herself to move, she had to move… She pulled herself up to her hands and knees when a weight pushed down on her, partial teeth digging into her shoulder as she tried to get out from under it. Panic caught her mind as she realized she couldn’t get her sanctuary to work. The magic... wasn't there...

Theron Jackster - August 19, 2008 08:15 PM (GMT)
Theron calmly jumped a little to the side and gave one undead a powerful kick that made it fly backwards into some of the others. "My your a terrible dancer my friend" he said with a laugh and threw the dagger after him, it was a perfect hit in the undeads throat and it feel to the ground. The man then made his way towards the corpse and calmly picked up the dagger again. Her removed the blood with the help of some cloth still left on the zombies body. "Thank you my dry friend" he commented with a grin and turned to walk towards the others there. As he came closer he tilted his head slightly to the left and brushed some dust of his clothes.

It looked to him as the mad girl finaly came to her senses....how boring, she was much more fun when she was just killing everything around her. A woman in Theron's taste alright. He lowered the hood as he was walking and revealed his long black hair and the red eyes. He watched all of this with slight interest and frowned when AD feel to the ground, well it was no surprise with all the power she had wasted on fighting like a...berserker. He shook his head slowly.

Eliel - August 21, 2008 08:45 AM (GMT)
Eliel grunted as he fought off another fiend. He noticed the clown-looking man nearby, but paid him little mind. He frowned at her question. “I could ask the same of you--” he was cut off by his blade being tossed to the side.

Eliel shouted and fumbled for Lan, but his hand found instead the blade next to it, blade sliding out. It was a beautiful thing, silvery blade, perfectly balanced, holding an angelic grace. Yet there was so much raw power in the blade, and a deadly feel to it.

Eliel swung the blade easily, cutting through the undead that had disarmed him. He turned back to AD in time to see her on the ground, a zombie above her, biting her. Eliel's eyes flashed as he made a thrust into the beast's back.

Eliel spun, cutting the arm away from a third. The wound seemed to grow worse as it was there. Eliel beheaded it and whistled for Gwen to hurry.

“AD, we should get out of here. There are too many of them.

Aether Draka - August 29, 2008 03:22 AM (GMT)
She nodded, feeling a bit distracted, her focus scattered. She needed to pull her thoughts together with out all the distractions around her. She reached out again, not for her sanctuary, but for the shadows, and felt a flicker of response. They would answer her, but only with effort and some concentration. She didn't have that right then.

Getting her feat under her with more then a little effort, she made it over to Eliel and said in a voice that gave away how tired she was feeling. “If you have an idea of how to get us out of here, by all means do so.” She lashed out at an undead that came too near them and wished she had used the other arm as the wound on her arm pulled open then, the blood slowly oozing over the partial scab. It was then that she noticed that Turin wasn’t there. Where was her little fly dragon? How come he kept vanishing on her like that? Her gaze flickered over the skyline, hoping to see the little creature. Instead she saw something else, a man walking toward them. She wasn’t sure about the person, but who ever it was didn’t seem to be on the same side as the zombies. AD nodded a greeting to the stranger for the help, but wasn’t sure… she didn’t feel sure of anything at this moment.
