Erin Shander - August 2, 2008 11:15 PM (GMT)
"Let me see now....egg, milk, flour, suger, baking powder, apples" Erin read to herself from a small note she was holding, her voice was very thoughtful "I think that was it" she looked down into the basket she was holding, checking that everything was as it should be. "Good it looks like I have everything I need for my journey."

The young lady calmly turned around a corner when suddenly a man bumped into her and she feel backwards onto the ground, the stranger ignored her and kept walking like nothing had ever happened. "Sorry, so sorry" Erin muttered and slowly stood up from the ground, then she noticed that most of her stuff had fallen out from the basked onto the ground. "Great, not to say perfect" she sighed and began to pick up everything into the basket again. But to her horror most of the things was ruined. She sighed deeply and she worked hard not to start crying....she could not cry in the middle of town...what would people think about her? Cures her for being this sensitive all the time, it was just a few eggs. "This is not my day" she whispered to herself and slowly bent down and gathered the things she had dropped.

She was just about to keep walking down the street again when she suddenly tripped over a small rock that someone had dropped from a wagon earlier that day, the storm kindler again feel to the ground. Of course her things feel out from the basket onto the ground again, but this time she did not stand up, she just sat there on the ground, unable to move for a while, why did this have to happen to her all the time? Erin sighed deeply and began to gather her things for the second time. Of course people was looking at her and some of the looked a little compassionate but none of them stopped to help her so far.

Eliel - August 2, 2008 11:50 PM (GMT)
Eliel watched the crowd halfheartedly. It wasn't as thick as it usually was, and that was saying something. He walked calmly, Gwen lagging behind. She was watching his back as usual, playing the part of the protective parent Eliel never had. His parents usually went out of their way to put him in danger so he could get out of it himself.

Eliel saw a girl walking, then get bumped by a man, who rudely paid no attention to it. He continued walking with no acknowledgment to the girl whose money had been wasted because of him. Eliel sent Gwen after him as he approached the girl with a compassionate look on his face.

Eliel bent down to pick up a runaway apple, looking at it as he placed it in the girl's basket. He heard a shout which he could only assume meant Gwen had caught the man. Eliel grinned as he recognized the girl.

“funny meeting you again. Especially under these circumstances. You need to stop letting people walk all over you.” He said with a smile. He heard continued shouts, getting louder. Eliel turned around to see the man who had bumped into her, Gwen dragging him by his collar.

Eliel sighed as he watched the terrified human. Not that he could blame him. Who wouldn't be scared of the umbra, several hundred pounds of muscle and claw, dragging them?

Erin Shander - August 3, 2008 12:06 AM (GMT)
Erin looked when she noticed Eliel, at first she did not remember him...but he looked familiar in a way. Then she remembered, it was the ma from Taras, the one with that strange woman. Her face turned slightly red around the ears. She avoided to look him into the eyes. "Well I don´t really.....I mean I don´t..or rather.." but the voice trailed away since she did not know what to say really, this fact made her face a little more red. "Nice to meet you again mister" she made a pause and then she remembered something, "I´m sorry if I´m rude or anything, but I don´t really remember your name from then..." she picked up a bag with flour as she said this and placed it in her basket.

She frowned slightly when she heard the sound coming from behind and turned that way to see what it was, at first she did not see anything, but then she noticed the umbra with the man she had bumped into before, she would have laughed but she did not because she did not think that would be very nice to do in a situation like this one.

Eliel - August 3, 2008 12:48 AM (GMT)
Eliel smiled at her. “It's okay. I don't really remember yours either. I don't think we gave them.” Eliel laughed, standing straight. “I'm Eraspeola, Usreanac. But call me Eliel. This here is Gwen.” He waved a hand to Gwen, who was sniffing at the man's face and licking her lips, much to his distress.

Eliel laughed unrestrainedly, not minding what others thought. He was an open man, speaking with strangers easily and speaking his mind.

Eliel picked the man up by the back of his tunic, standing him off and brushing off his front. H turned the man to face Erin and smiled. The man scowled. 'you want me to apologize? She got in my wa--' Eliel kicked the back of his knees, putting him onto his knees before Erin.

's-sorry ma'am.' He said resignedly. Eliel seemed pleased with himself. He let the man up to go.

Erin Shander - August 3, 2008 01:15 AM (GMT)
Erin smiled slightly and nodded. "I will make sure to try and remember your name this time sir Eliel" she said with a more relaxed voice and bowed her head slightly as a greeting. "I´m Erin Erica Shander, but just call me Erin." she looked at Gwen and gave the animal a friendly smile. She was very found of any kind of animals that was not a bug. "Hello Gwen"

The young lady watched the stranger that had bumped into her and she frowned a little at first when he began to talk but then she giggled slightly when he said he was sorry. "Well It might have been my fault, but did your mother never tell you to help a lady?" she shook her head slightly, she followed the man with her eyes as he quickly walked away from them and then she looked at Eliel and Gwen again. "Thanks you, to both of you. I never would have dared to do something like that myself."

Eliel - August 3, 2008 01:23 AM (GMT)
Eliel chuckled at Erin's reply. “That's a bit better.” He said with a grin. She could use some work in self confidence. You wouldn't survive long in Imythess meek and unsocial. Eliel grinned and patted Gwen, whose eyes closed a little and she nodded as if to say you're welcome.

Eliel nodded at her when she said thank you. “It was really no problem. It what I enjoy doing. Those sort of people just get on my nerves.' He laughed, thinking of how far away he was now to who he was for two and a half centuries of his life.

“anyhow, Erin. You just need to be a bit bolder. Make them respect you. You have to work for what you want.” He said encouragingly. “Let me buy you a drink.”

Erin Shander - August 3, 2008 01:41 AM (GMT)
Erin smiled at them. "I guess your right Eliel, I have never been very brave, not like my father. That is why I left home as I did now, but I can see that I have much to work with before things changes." she did not know what she was going to say about the offer, it would be rude to say no and she liked Eliel, he was very nice. She had only meet one person like him before and that was the woman Ornell. "Why I wont say not to that offer, I could really use something to drink"

She moved her hair in behind her ears and her gaze calmly moved up and down the street for a moment before it returned back to Eliel, it looked like she was looking for someone or something. But then she acted like nothing at all. [color=lightblue]"I have not been here before, I guess you know some good place we could go to?"
she tilted her head slightly to the left as she looked at Eliel.

Eliel - August 3, 2008 01:59 AM (GMT)
Eliel nodded. “Yeah, I know a place. Sounds good.” He smiled. She was a nice woman. She could use a little work, but she would do well for herself.

Eliel chuckled as he began walking to the broken strings. “Come on, then.” He said, calling past his shoulder. A few people took a few seconds to get out of his way, the people who had watched him make the man apologize. A few of them scurried out of sight worriedly, scared a bit of the drow.

As he walked by a merchant's stand, Eliel leaned over the fruit interestedly. He looked to one side of the tray, where there were ruby red apples. He picked one up and inspected it, making the merchant sweat.

'just take it.' the merchant said worriedly. Eliel laughed and put it down. “No my good man. I couldn't take one of your beautiful apples without paying.” He placed a couple coins in his hand and took the apple, taking a bite from it and walking away, to Erin's side. He finished the apple and offered her a pear, taking one out of his cloak with a wink. He'd swiped the fruit while the merchant was busy with the apple.

Erin Shander - August 3, 2008 02:12 AM (GMT)
Erin was a little surprised at first and it took her a few seconds to react, then she nodded and quickly walked after Eliel. She felt much happier now and her gaze calmly moved around as she was walking. The storm kindler watched him as he walked over to the merchant and began to examine the apple. She smiled slightly when she noticed that the merchant was a little uncomfortable with him. Erin watched Eliel as he payed for the apple and returned back to her, her eyes widened slightly when he gave her the pear and her gaze slowly moved back to the merchant and then to Eliel again. She did not see him when he did that, he must have been very quick with his fingers or something like that.

Erin examined the fruit her gave her, it looked like a nice one. The young lady took a small bite from it and smiled, it had a really nice taste and she liked it. Her eyes examined Eliel for a moment, she did not know that he was a drow but she could quess that he was something like it by the way he looked, but ti would be rude of her to ask something like that so she did not say anything about it yet.

Eliel - August 3, 2008 02:22 AM (GMT)
Eliel laughed at the look on her face. Safely out of earshot of the fruit merchant, he spoke. “The way I see it, if he can't keep a proper eye on his client, then it's whomever manages to get away with it that owns it.” He laughed and took a bite of his own pear, then tossing it to Gwen, who caught it happily.

Eliel approached the tavern and smiled. It was a nice place, the outside was nice. It had ornate doors and clean walls. Eliel opened the door, spilling music into the street, gesturing for Erin to enter. “After you.”

He waited for her, then entered himself, taking a seat at a table near the musicians. A waitress came by to take their orders.

“I'll just have an ale, sue.” He said to the girl with a smile. He knew most of the barmaids and barkeeps in most of the major taverns by name, having visited them quite frequently.

Erin Shander - August 3, 2008 02:34 AM (GMT)
Erin listened to his words, it was something true about them. She as a member of the guild was used to things like it. Not that she ever would try something like it herself she was far to much of a coward for that kind of things anyway. She looked at Gwen for a moment and smiled slightly when the animal caught the pear.

She looked at the tavern when they came closer to it and it looked like a really nice place. Not like some other places she had been in during her journey. She smiled at Elie as he opened the door for her. "Why thank you, the world would be a better place if more people could act like that" she giggled slightly and looked around the tavern inside.

She sat down and looked at the musicians for a moment before she waitress arrived. Erin heard what Elier ordered and when the woman turned and looked at Erin she thought about what she wanted for a moment before she said anything. She really did not know what she would take since she was not very good with drinks and stuff like it. Well better safe then sorry. "I would like to have the cascadian apple wine" she said with a friendly voice. Erin had been drinking that liquid before and it had a nice taste and was not to strong.

Eliel - August 3, 2008 02:46 AM (GMT)
Eliel smiled at Erin and the barmaid, handing her a couple coins. Sure smiled and pocketed the gold, walking off to collect their drinks. Eliel smiled as Gwen made her way in as well, having a bit more trouble, as several people drew their feet up and away from the Umbra.

Eliel looked at Erin and leaned back in his chair relaxedly. “So what brings you to Cascadia, Erin?” He asked, sliding his cloak off and draping it over his chair's back. He sat in his black pants and white tunic, perfectly at home.

Sure returned a short while later with their drinks, placing them in front of their respective drinkers. Eliel payed for the drinks and smiled as she walked away, sipping his ale. “Such a sweet girl.” He said with a chuckle. He was a bi old now for such comments to be taken the wrong way. He was sort of past the bachelor age, more towards the still young but a gentleman sort of age.

Eliel watched as the barmaid brought back a bowl for Gwen, full of milk. Sure smiled at him 'on the house.' Eliel thanked her, waiting until she walked away to pour some ale into Gwen's milk. The umbra purred, pleased.
