Title: Falling Apart <p>
Description: Fehade
Yaksha - July 21, 2008 08:26 PM (GMT)
Yaksha sat at the Golden Gryphon inn, sucking on a cigar, a thin cloud of smoke around him. A man walked over, and tapped Yaksha on the shoulder quite brusquely, his face blazing with barely contained anger. "Put that thing out, you should know those things are bad for you." Yaksha looked up at him, eyes almost luminescent inside the cloud. His voice was purely apathethic, and sounded quite bored. "It'll be much worse when the end's smoldering in a pile of your steaming intestines." His hand lashed out from the cloud, and pulled him into it. A face of pure, unadulterated evil and bloodlust grinned up at him. He pushed him out of the cloud, still holding his wrist. He twisted it savagely, causing it to snap loudly, then whispered, "Say a word and you'll feel REAL pain."
He leaned back in his chair, still puffing on the cigar. He muttered under his breath, something sounding like "Scum of the world," and he then made a sharp laugh. He wasn't at the inn just for pleasure, he had every intention of meeting someone. He had left a note, this one much less formal than his others, for he felt no need to act the gentleman around this individual.
"Fehade. I'll be waiting at the Green Gryphon every day this week. We have a lot to go over. If you don't arrive within a week, I'm going to consider you a foe, and will do my best to make your life hell. Make no mistake, my best is very, VERY good.
-Y
P.S. Hakri Golden is such a blemish on this perfect world. If you meet me, I can assure you he'll be begging you to kill him in a matter of months. I could be your best friend. Or your worst nightmare. Make the choice."
Fehade - July 21, 2008 08:55 PM (GMT)
Fehade rode his horse Evier down a road leading into the small town of Kellen. As he did so, he laughed over the not he got from some unknown person who just put "Y". Fehade was curious who sent it, but what it all said made the tiefling laugh quite hard. "Make my life hell? Hah! Life is already hell on the wasteland." He said, laughing.
The tiefling demon infused looked how he always did. Tall and all in black. He wore a black tunic and trousers, and a long black cloak that was draped over his shoulders. His hair had a spiky style style, hiding the studs of horns on his head. And instead of his skin being leathery red looking, Fehade used his spell to hide his wings and make his skin seem near white. And his eyes gleamed blood red, seeming to grow in the darkening sky.
"My, this is the best letter I've gotten since the time that vampire tricked me." He said, laughing, though, the thought of Cordelia made his eyes burn with anger. He had many scars from the night, she had almost ruined him that day, and now, he wanted her dead, and he would get his revenge, revenge on everyone.
He made it to Kellen in a few minutes, and he slid of his black horse outside of the tavern, then stood still, watching as Evier changed. Where the black nightmare stood, now stood a beautiful young woman. She had milky white skin, long black hair, and black eyes, and she wore a long black dress that matched her eyes and hair. Fehade smiled slightly.
"Beautiful as ever, Evier." He said, and the now human looking nightmare smiled cruelly. She took Fehade's arm as he offered it to her, almost like a gentleman would. Then they both went into the tavern, and Fehade glanced around, weaving through tables, till he saw someone who looked like he was the one who sent him the letter. He walked over to the man (Yaksha).
"Are you the one who sent me the letter?"
Yaksha - July 22, 2008 05:48 PM (GMT)
Yaksha gave a small grunt, and ground his cigar out on the tabletop, waving to a pair of chairs. "Sit. I'm going to get right to the point." He waved a hand around the inn, his eyes cold and squinted into slits. "I'm sure I'm not the only one that hates these little fools. So weak, so ignorant, yet they still beleive themselves to have the right to live. Makes me sick, how useless most of these people are." He leaned forward, his lips splitting into a terrifying rictus. "Hakri most of all. The fool beleives himself to be worthy to claim to be your father. He forfeited that right long ago."
He leaned back, lacing his hands behind his head, and looking up at the ceiling. "And then there's Cordelia Brooks. So much promise, such power, and she puts it all to waste. The reason I brought you here is simple, Fehade." He pointed at one man, sitting at the bar. "Notorious Adulterer." He pointed at a woman sitting in the corner, eating slowly. "Closer Masochist. I could name a dozen more for every person in here. To put it simply, each and every one of these people are sick, twisted, and unworthy of life. And I'd say it's our job to kill each and every person who has tainted this world with their prescence."
Fehade - July 22, 2008 09:36 PM (GMT)
Fehade pulled a chair out, and Evier sat down in it, then Fehade pulled out a chair for himself, and plopped down in it, not even looking at Yaksha, he gestured for a maid to come over, and he ordered elven wine. Yaksha started to speak, but Fehade paid little attention because his elven wine soon came, and he took the cup, and took a long drink of it before setting it on the table just as the man before him spoke of Hakri.
Anger flashed through his eyes as he looked up at Yaksha. Bringing up Hakri was a dangerous matter. Fehade wanted the man dead, to die a thousands deaths, to burn in the pits of hell. Then, he brought up Cordelia. The vampiress. The tiefling clenched his hand into a fist. Both deserved to die.
"Hakri... and the vampire whelp... why do you bring those names up?
How do you know I have something against the vampire?" He said, glaring at the man.
He glanced at the man at the bar that Yaksha pointed out, then to the woman, paying both little heed, Fehade had no business with them, not unless of course, it was a job that the man was giving him.
And I'd say it's our job to kill each and every person who has tainted this world with their prescence."
He sighed, taking another drink of his wine before answering.
"And why, would I want to waste my precious little time, cutting down pathetic scumbags, when I have no reason to? Unless I get paid, or they did something to me that I want revenge on. They are just plain old fools, that I don't give a rip about." He said, watching Yaksha.
Yaksha - July 22, 2008 09:45 PM (GMT)
Yaksha crossed his legs, and leaned back in his chair. "Hakri and Cordelia are as much a nuisance in my book as they are in yours. I think we could get along quite well, if only to slay those who we have a mutual dislike for." He nodded at Evier, then waved his hand around the inn once more. "The question isn't what they've done, Fehade. It's what they will do. EVERYONE is going to hurt you, Fehade. I won't lie. So why not hurt them first?"
Fehade - July 23, 2008 02:23 AM (GMT)
"Hakri and Cordelia are as much a nuisance in my book as they are in yours. I think we could get along quite well, if only to slay those who we have a mutual dislike for."
Fehade crossed his arms over his chest, basically glaring at Yaksha, and the tiefling didn't really know he was. Rraezanon, the pit fiend infused with Fehade's soul didn't like this man before them at all, he disliked Yaksha already, and Fehade couldn't help but agree, everyone basically knew that the tiefling hated everyone, and didn't get along with anyone, the inky person he got along with was once Mara, who he hates now, and Evier, who he can still tolerate now that she showed her true colors, and Fehade couldn't help but love the nightmares cruelty.
"What... do you have against my father and the vampire?" He asked, still keeping an eye on the half-fiend.
"The question isn't what they've done, Fehade. It's what they will do. EVERYONE is going to hurt you, Fehade. I won't lie. So why not hurt them first?"
What they will do. Fehade thought that over, and knew why he wouldn't touch them until they did something to him first, well, normally unless he got bored. But he couldn't admit that he loved pain, he loved being hurt, he loved the feeling of the world seeming to fall on him, he just loved it, and then revenge... wonderful revenge... He sighed, shaking his head slightly.
"Don't have time..."
Yaksha - July 23, 2008 02:34 AM (GMT)
Yaksha only smiled, dropping his human guise and turning into his true fiendish form. He leaned back in his chair, still smiling, his hands in his lap. "Does the reason really matter? I want them to suffer just as badly as you, and I'd think that alone should be reason enough. Besides, who says I want them gone because I have something against them?" At this point, he sat forward once more, his nails running along the tabletop. He gave an infuriating smile. "Hakri is a fool, he would dare to challenge a fifth level pit lord infused. That alone warrents him a terrible death. As to the vampire..." At this point, he rose a hand, the long nails curled into talons, raking it through the air. "We all need our secrets, wouldn't you say?"
Fehade - July 23, 2008 03:06 AM (GMT)
Does it matter? Fehade looked away from Yaksha and to Evier, and rolled his eyes, and the nightmare smirked. Fehade looked at the half-fiend, himself looking totally amused. Fehade turned his attention to the half-fiend once more. He ran a hand through his black spiky hair as he looked at the fiends true form, and listened to the startle cries from people around them, but he took little notice of that.
"Hakri is a fool, he would dare to challenge a fifth level pit lord infused. That alone warrents him a terrible death. As to the vampire..."
This time, it was Fehade who leaned forward, a wide, cruel, amused smile split over his face.
"Hakri is no fool, half-fiend. Hakri would dare to challenge a demon like me easily, and he would win. Hakri is more powerful then you believe, and here you are, a pathetic excuse for a fiend, comes and makes fun of him. If he were here now, you would not last ten minutes with him, hm... better make that ten seconds..." Fehade said, though his voice was light and amused, his eyes were completely serious.
He then leaned back, and took another drink of his wine.
"Hakri's no fool."
Yaksha - July 23, 2008 03:16 AM (GMT)
Yaksha only looked blankly at Fehade. "I make no pretense I could defeat him. I know full well he could kill either of us. But I'm here to help you slay him. No one is immortal, every armor has a weak spot. He is only a fool for going after you. I know very well that he is quite deadly, but his insolance has invited this upon himself. He will die, by your own hand. And I simply wish to help. But first, the vampire. Cordelia Brooks is a thorn in your side, and she must be crushed before we even set our sights on Hakri."
Fehade - July 23, 2008 03:34 AM (GMT)
Fehade stared at Yaksha, then burst out laughing. "It seems like your saying he's trying to kill me. He wouldn't, not when he needs my help for locating my sister, but oh, I'm sure you know everything about them, you seem oh-so all-knowing, I bet if I ask you'll tell me where there hiding." He barked out in laughter again. "I hate Hakri, I want him died. And he will die painfully one day, but for now... I work for him. He gives me jobs, I complete them for him, just like I do my lovely dark sorceress friend."
He cocked his head at Yaksha.
"How... do you even know she's a thorn in my side? Have you been somehow stalking me every minute of my life? You seem to know so much when we've just met." He said, shaking his head slightly.
He knew he was being a jerk, but, thats how he always is, even to his supposed "friends", everyone in his entire life as to deal with his snappy attitude. He stayed silent a moment, before deciding to speak again.
"Do you have a plan to crush the vampire, because, to tell the truth, I'm so curious." Sort of he was, but then a part of him he didn't care much. Then his thoughts turned to Hakri. Fehade had always been plotting against Hakri, ever since the tiefling was banished. Fehade even gets to meet with his father tomorrow night, he had a job for Fehade, and then after that Fehade gets to meet Mara again, such tight schedules it seemed.
Yaksha - July 24, 2008 04:44 PM (GMT)
Yaksha laughed, and then leaned forward. "Exactly the insolance I mean. He makes you work for him. In all honesty, HE should be doing jobs for YOU, Fehade. You are the future. His time is nearing an end." His voice had turned mellifluous and soothing, and the truth of his words began to ring in Fehad'es ears. "Hakri is strong, yes. But you can be so much stronger than him. All you need is a critical eye, and an open mind. Hakri is only greater than you because you lacked my help. Allow me to help you rise to your destined strength...."
After a moment, the allure and softness of his voice drained away, leaving only a hoarse and purely apathetic voice behind. He pulled a cigar out of his sleeve, and lit it, then pulled another, offering it to Fehade. "Care for a smoke? A tad mundane, but it gets the job done." He began to suck at his own cigar, and then chuckled dryly. "I know the vampire is a thorn in your side, because I make information my business. Hakri is powerful, yes. I will even concede he could be stronger than you. But only because you've not yet found his achilles heel. That is where I come in. EVERYONE has something they can't do. I'm not much of a fighter myself, but I can calculate the crap out of a situation. You, you're a fighter at heart, but you can't really THINK. Hakri...well, Hakri's another story."
Fehade - July 24, 2008 05:34 PM (GMT)
Fehade listened to the man in complete silence, watching the half-fiend, eyes seeming to go completely dull. One thing Fehade hated, was help. He didn't like the idea of this person to help him. Help was... frustrating. He could barely stand Mara's help anymore even when he did love her, even then he hated her help. "Ugh, this is such a nuisance. Can't we kill this fool already and be on our way. Sides, I don't think we've killed anyone in this town for a while..." Rraezanon said, sounding annoyed in Fehade's head, and the tiefling merely shook his head in response to his demon.
Yaksha then offered him a cigar. Fehade stared at it a moment, then shook his head again. He hated those things, they got you into a pointless habit.
When the man was done speaking, Fehade thought everything over, eyes seeming to darken, he looked away, and took a drink of his wine, then looked up at Yaksha again.
"Why? Why do you want to help me? Whats in it for you besides Hakri being a nuisance and a waste of space?" He asked coldly. He glanced at Evier and the nightmare was wondering what was in it for him too. The night mare watched Yaksha closely too, wondering if he did really want to help Fehade.
Yaksha - July 24, 2008 05:50 PM (GMT)
Yaksha merely stared at Evier and Fehade, then shook his head. He leaned back in his chair, and stared at the ceiling, still puffing at his cigar. "How sad. How very, very sad. Not everything has a price, Fehade. It never once crossed your mind that I want to help you...just because I WANT TO HELP YOU?" He pushed forward, and laughed. "Sometimes, you really do get something for nothing."
He stared at him seriously for a moment, then smiled invitingly. He reached out a hand, obviously intending to shake. "The reason is simple, Fehade. I like you. I'd hate to see Hakri kill you. I ask simply that you remember who helped you defeat Hakri." He leaned forward, and his eyes began to twinkle warmly, his voice growing soft and mellodious once more, almost irresistable. "I'd so like to be your friend, Fehade. Is that too much to ask?"
Fehade - July 24, 2008 08:50 PM (GMT)
No, it never once crossed his mind that the man didn't want anything in return, and it sort of confused Fehade. Why not? Everyone else did, Mara and Hakri either wanted someone dead, or something stolen. Fehade supposed nothing was good enough, if he did really want this person help. Help. The word seemed to make him more annoyed. If Hakri knew he was getting help, he could see the next meeting clearly in his head. He closed his eyes, almost like he already felt the chain whip snapping against his skin.
Fehade opened his eyes, and stared at the hand Yaksha held out, and immediately his eyes narrowed and grew cold once again. When Yaksha said the word "friend", a growl like noise come form his throat, clearly that Fehade was somewhat angry. Friendship? The word wanted to make him bark out in laughter, to stand up and just walk away now.
Friends. Who needed any? Yes, he did have a couple, years ago... Evier knew Fehade's past, she was there all the time, since the beginning.
"I can remember. And thats all you'll ever be once Hakri is dead." The tiefling said coldly. He drained the last bit of his wine then stood, then bowed mockingly to Yaksha. "I must take my leave now. You know how to reach me. My pets ears are always open and listening for word. I have a job to complete, so unless you have something else that will spark my interest tonight, then say so quickly." He said, ready to just leave right now. He will accept the mans help to get rid of Hakri, but he doesn't plan to spend all night here in this dump.
Yaksha - July 24, 2008 11:58 PM (GMT)
"Cordelia Brooks. The dear vampire will be next. You may not like me, and you may not respect me, but I'm here to help. Sometimes all you need is a fresh set of ideas." He waved a hand, and then stubbed out his cigarette. "You can go now. I've some business to finish here."
Fehade - July 25, 2008 02:39 AM (GMT)
"Cordelia Brooks. The dear vampire will be next. You may not like me, and you may not respect me, but I'm here to help. Sometimes all you need is a fresh set of ideas."
Fehade turned around and took a few steps away from the table laughing, then turned to look at Yaksha. "Well, aren't you just the genius with the master plans!" He laughed, then gestured for Evier to go out, and she did where she changed back into a black horse. Fehade looked at Yaksha calmly. "And please don't disappoint me, I hate it plans go all a to a waste of time, doesn't get me in a cheerful mood. He said.
He then turned and walked out of the tavern. He walked over to Evier, as she was a horse, and climbed into the saddle. Kicking the nightmare in the side, the horse went into a trot down the road.
